Have been a loyal customer here since COVID times. No issues for many years. But in this past year, the valuables in my unit were stolen. Almost any lock can be picked by the way, just look it up on YouTube. I'm giving it 3 stars still because the service and unit itself was fine, but the security is now not-so-fine. No issues w staff. read more

Met with Jo Ana when we got onsite. Super helpful and friendly service. Was able to find a unit that fit us best. She even helped with the future moving process to make it as easy as possible. Even assisted with providing their company's moving truck to help with our move which saved us a hassle of renting a truck. The pricing was within budget and the fact that monthly rent isn't constantly increasing is a HUGE BONUS. So happy we made the change. Thanks Jo Ana! read more

We had moved cross country and were struggling to find a clean and secure storage facility near our new home. As soon as I spoke to Jo Ann on the phone I knew we were in good hands. She encouraged us to swing by and see the units in person. What a difference from what we'd looked at prior. These units are clean and secure. There's also plenty of space for an eighteen wheeler to pull in which we needed. Thank you A-American and especially Jo Ann. Moving is stressful and there are so many components to it. We feel safe and secure with A-American. read more

Been a tenant about 7 years now and this place quiet, clean property, barely any traffic which makes it convenient and most of all caring. Jo Ann has the sweetest soul and is always willing to see what she can do to help. I always recommend people to rent here. Thanks for all you guys do. read more

This is a well kept and well run facility. The front staff and the managers are incredible especially Jo Ann who is absolutely the best! They are very honest about their pricing and what they can offer you so no hidden fees or upselling etc. this is my first time renting a unit with them and I'm glad I went with this facility as it gave me such good piece of mind because of their amazing staff. I can't say this enough but Jo Ann is excellent ! Would do business again with them if I need future storage units! read more

I left a review before but had to leave another one when I vacated my unit! Jo Ann has helped me with so many things regarding my unit despite being across the country. She was personable, kind, knowledgeable and completely bent backwards to help me while in a bind. I highly HIGHLY recommend storing your belongings here and going to Jo Ann for anything and everything you need for storage! She's also an awesome conversationalist so have a chat and make a new friend read more

My husband and I had to rent a storage unit last minute and we saw A-American and read the reviews and thought this is by far the best storage we've seen. We reserved/booked online and it was super easy we called to confirm and Jo Ann helped us. She is the most sweetest person ever! She helped us through every step and explained everything very well. We are extremely happy we went through them for our storage unit. By the way storage units were very clean! I will recommend anyone to come here if they are looking for a storage unit! Thank you Jo Ann for all your help! :) read more

I called several places looking for the right storage unit and from the initial phone call Paul was very helpful and accommodating! He answered multiple questions and took the time to provide a tour and made my entire move-in as seamless as possible. I was in a previous storage unit but after the service I received from Paul I did not hesitate to switch ASAP. I'm grateful to have my things so well protected. Thanks again for an amazing service! read more

I needed to find a reasonably priced storage unit quickly and I have had bad experiences with some of the public storage places so I was wary of going to a big name place. I found A-American self storage and they had some good reviews. I was looking for a small unite and I needed it rather quickly. I called and spoke to Joanne and she was knowledgeable of the space that each unit had and from my description of the stuff I needed to store she suggested a particular unit. I needed a truck and Joanne helped me get a truck and we arranged a move in date. On the day of the move in the truck was ready and available. I was able to move all the stuff in, and the whole experience was as smooth and easy as one would want an emergency move in to be. I would highly recommend A-American self Storage. read more

My first time winning an auction storage unit and it was in this storage. Didn't know what to expect or do. Eric called me the day after auction ended. Went to the storage building and met Eric. Eric was really really really nice and very very very helpful on what to do. Guided me to all the paper works and what I needed to do. Then he walked me to the unit. Came back the following day and Eric was still very helpful. From start to finish Eric was outstanding, always a smile his face, always ready to help and answered every question I had. Compared to other storage facility I been to this one is the cleanest. Next time I need a storage unit I will definitely go here. Thank You again ERIC !!! read more

This is a great storage facility. Joann is so helpful and knowledgeable. Two years ago we needed a storage unit for all our home items. We were going to hit the road in our RV, so sold our house and moved the furniture we were keeping as well as other items important to us into a 10x10 unit here. Joann gave us great advise on how to keep our things in good shape while we were gone. Fast forward two years - we now have a condo and had our items moved out of the unit and into our new place. The movers told me as they moved out our things, this was one of the cleanest units they had seen. No bugs or rodents were evident. Although boxes were a little dusty (2 years of sitting in storage), it was no where near what I expected. We highly recommend this facility and you will have great service from both Joann and Robert. read more

A-American Self Storage - Self Storage Near Me - Buena Park, California

Very friendly staff who are funny, approachable, and professional and the same time. Joann was very personable and laid back but when it came down to business (like the locking up properly, gate hours, etc) she really cared that I understood all the rules and did things the right way. The property is very clean. I can tell that Joann cares about her customers (unless they don't pay their bills or not follow the rules) and the safety of our property. This place has gates with key code access and large elevators. They have a special for $20 first month (2nd or 3rd floor) going on right now and sell their own disk locks for $12. Renters insurance is included. read more

Sure a review on a storage facility isn't as exciting as one for a new hip restaurant or bar, but this business still deserves some love. You would think that service wouldn't even be a factor when it comes to a storage facility, but you don't know until you know. Jo Ann has been great from day one. I first rented a 20x10 space and then downgraded to a 5x5. She has been with me every step of the way, from recommending sizes, location, providing pricing, offering specials and explaining the terms. I highly recommend! read more

This is a great storage facility. I was there for about a year and a half. The storage facility was very secure and in a nice area. A few things: -the gate is electronically locked (you can open it with the code assigned to you) -this is not a 24 hour facility (the gate will not open after closing time) -you have to buy your own lock -there are 2 moving carts available and they can only be accessed when the office is open JoAnne is the receptionist and is very friendly. The move-in and move-out process was easy because of her. If you need a great place to store your stuff, I recommend this place. read more

I needed to find a storage unit last minute because the company I booked canceled on me the day before my move-in day. Because I was in LA, I had to rely on reviews and photos on Yelp. Luckily, I found this place and I cannot thank Joann enough for all her hard work. She understood my stressful situation and prepared everything for me promptly. Although I didn't check out the place before my move, I was satisfied with the storage. The place is well managed, clean, and has two big carts for you to use. You can also purchase any boxes, tapes, mattress covers, etc. A couple of weeks after, I got a call from Joann that she found my unit unlocked (I might have left it unlocked a few days before) and waited until I came to check inside to make sure nothing was stolen or damaged. My unit is on the top floor and in the middle of the building, so it could have been left unnoticed for a while, but I am glad she found it immediately and let me know. If you need a storage unit, this is the place!!! I called and looked at 20+ sites in Fullerton, Buena Park, and Anaheim area, and this place has the best price, quality, and customer service. THANK YOU SO MUCH JOANN FOR YOUR HELP! You are amazing! read more

I just recently moved my things in to a storage unit here. My experience so far has been great. My fiance and I came in last week to check out the available units and Troy was very helpful and friendly. We had a choice between a first and third level unit with the first floor unit costing a bit more than the third floor unit. I half expected Troy to try and convince us to take the first floor unit, but that was not the case. We were not pushed to choose the more expensive unit and we felt comfortable officially deciding to rent our unit at A-American. We took advantage of the free 17ft moving truck and the driver, Martin, was also wonderful. He was very patient with us as we took a bit longer than usual loading our things into the truck. I think we caused him to be slightly behind schedule, but he was polite and helpful the entire time. He even helped us unload some of our furniture when we got to the storage (probably because he needed to hurry up and go to his next pick-up, but he was very pleasant regardless). There was a bit of miscommunication between us and the staff as we were required to chip in an additional $20 for the truck since we were beyond their pick-up vicinity. We were aware of the charge, but assumed it would be added to our overall bill. However, we were supposed to bring it in cash to give directly to the driver. Just a small hiccup, but not a big deal. Joann has a very strong personality and greets you like you've known each other for years. I could tell she treats all the renters in the same manor as I observed her interactions with other tenants. She's very down to earth and understanding. She laid everything out as far as the rules of the company. She made sure I understood the payment/nonpayment processes and what I was not allowed to store or do on the property. My fiance and I used the Yelp promo of the free mattes bag and 50% off the first month's rent. However, my fiance also saw something stated on the Yelp page about the first two months being 50% off, and although Joann couldn't find the details in the system about the promo, she honored it anyway, so instead of only getting the 50% off of the first month, she also gave it to us for the second month. That was just a cherry on top of a great overall experience. I'll admit I was a bit skeptical about coming here because of the few bad reviews I read, but after reading the staff's responses to said reviews, it seemed to me that their actions were justified given the full context. I decided it was worth at least visiting, especially because of all of the other 5 star reviews. Overall, my fiance and I are glad that we gave them a chance as we have saved a good chunk of money by not having to get a moving truck and also by getting 50% off of our first two months, and we feel comfortable having our belongings stored here. read more

Joann is AMAZING!!! I found this place because of the positive reviews and I'm so happy I did! The place is clean and efficient. I have no worry about leaving my property at A-American Self Storage! I'm so happy I found this place! Take a second and talk to Joanne, she's so personable and I'm glad I got to chat with her. There's check in passcodes so they knows whose checking in and that makes me feel so much better about leaving my property there. I will recommend to anyone not just for the clean storage units, but enjoy a great conversation with Joann read more

I'm surprised there are three good reviews on this place. I kept my things here for a year and a half and rented their two largest units, so as you can see, I've given this place a lot of my hard-earned money over time. Most of the staff has been friendly and helpful, EXCEPT for Lois. She's the older, large lady in the office. This woman is unbearably rude and unfriendly, always making it a point to make her obsession over her furniture dollies apparent (yes, I said obsession. She's even named them). I tried many times to chat her up in small talk, trying to get her to smile (shouldn't it be the other way around?!) or be friendly to no avail. Now today, I'm moving out and apparently she took that as the green light to treat my hired movers whom I've paid $10,000 and my business-professional husband with utter disrespect. We are not scumbags with bad attitudes, yet she treats us as if we are. All 6 of us are disgusted and shaking our heads in embarrassment for the company. And to make matters worse, I had to pay for the entire month (she refused to prorate our rent) despite moving out today on the 5th. I have ALWAYS been kind and courteous, followed ALL of her *sometimes ridiculous and obsessive-compulsive* rules, and this is how she treats us? Wow. If you're looking for a place that treats their customers like they're valued, don't waste your time here. They obviously don't care that our business is paying their bills and her drill sergeant tactics take the ease and convenience out of having a storage unit. Never again! read more

First off moving period is a hassle getting a storage is another. But, when you have an awesome customer service rep. like LESLIE who has the patience to go through all the different sizes and prices, then show you all of them in a freezing maze on different floors it was not as stressful and really helped the process feel less overwhelming! Got a good deal on our storage unit, the place is well kept, and clean. LESLIE, I HOPE YOU GET A RAISE GIRL YOU SOOOOO DESERVE IT! read more

I have been a tenant here for about 4 years. This place is pretty great! Clean, and taken care of well. JoAnn is super nice and friendly and takes good care of the facility and her tenants. The prices are pretty competitive, I don't think you will find a cheaper price for size, cleanliness and friendliness. read more

I needed a unit on short notice and I picked the perfect place. I had such a great experience. The facility is very clean and staff was extremely friendly. I had a great experience at this place. Joann takes her time with you and really knows her stuff! It's close by, and not as expensive as other places you would go to. I've had to shop around for a few storage places due to the fact that I had to move out, and this was the only place that allowed me to reserve a unit prior to moving in, without any obligations. Also love the fact that the staff has been very thorough and helpful with the whole process and they even honored the price deal I was given before moving in, even when the deal had ended. Most of the storage spaces seem to be indoors and it's nice and clean and I'm glad because I don't have to worry about my belongings being in a hot storage space 24/7. Overall a great experience! read more

I have moved away from and back to the Buena Park area several times over the past ten years. Twice I have rented storage units out here for about 2 or 3 years each time and I couldn't be happier. The units are kept clean and I've never seen so much as an ant wandering around. Joanne is great and obviously expects customers to obey the rules which are made very clear when you sign all the paperwork. I wouldn't want my stuff in a place that didn't have strict rules. I've never been worried about my unit being tampered with. Joanne even called me once because someone left their stuff outside my unit and she wanted to make sure something hadn't happened. Most places would've just thrown the stuff away or charged me some fee for leaving crap in the walkway. My movers have always been made aware of the rules and were treated respectfully . I would highly recommend this place. read more
