We've had a 9x10 storage here for about 2-3 years and Ozzy has been amazing. He's helped us get the best deal and replace our lock when we lost the key. There's a lady as well that I can't remember her name but she is just as nice and helpful as Ozzy. The lady helped us get a smaller unit 5x8 for a discount since we've been renting for a long time. The oustide and inside are always clean and kept up. We have our stuff on the second floor and have never had any problems with any infestation. They could improve by hiring honest employees and management. My husband has theft occur at this storage. Possible inside job. The manager, a male, said there has never been break ins in the 15 years he's been there. In 2020 my sister had musical instruments stolen from her storage unit there. My husband found his stuff for sale at Facebook marketplace. The manager blamed an employee for renting a unit to a male and female without checking ID. This is the first time ever having items in storage stolen for us and my sister. What a coincidence. If you value your stuff, don't go here. I forgot to add, the storage that is facing The street, the one with windows has roaches. read more

Two stars for facility and great customer service. However, I have only had my unit for 3 months and I have already received notice of a price increase. My 10 x 15 unit was $264/mo (with insurance) at signing and it is now being increased to $358/mo. That's one hell of an increase. read more

Extra Space is a clean, safe facility in where you know you can have your items secure and protected. There is no reason to not pick this facility in your storage needs. The only flaw is IF you prepay (reserve) your unit before you move in they will make it pay top dollar on the insurance. I posted the original review below on 10/14/2017. It's now 5/1/2018, and the elevator is STILL BROKEN. Turns out Cypress, CA is a franchise location, and the owners DO NOT CARE about tenants at all. They know the elevator is broken and don't want to spend the money to fix it. Glodean puts the blame on corporate inaction, and corporate turns around and points the finger right back. I asked for an update, and Glodean told me that they will start repairs sometime in June, but they will take at least a month after they start. So if they start at the end of June, you're looking at August at best. Yeah, no. No discount on rent. No "I'm sorry for the inconvenience." I was never offered to use a dolly like the other yelper. Long story short, I finally moved out but had to have two day-workers help carry the heavy stuff down the stairs. Extra Space SUCKS. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ I've had a unit here for about two years. The elevator has often been broken but never for too long. But it has now been broken for MONTHS. every time I call, I'm told they have no idea when it will be fixed. If a negative rating were available i would choose it. My rent has gone from $103 to $134 in less than 16 months. A1 storage less than a quarter mile away offers the same 5x10 unit for $75 per month. I am angry at myself for not having found them sooner. Extra Space Storage is a joke. Save yourself 25% or more and store your belongings literally ANYWHERE else. read more

After having my 5x10 unit increase in price by nearly 50% in just over a year (May 2018 $93 to present day $134)...I decided it was time to vacate and move just slightly east to a much closer and much more economical facility that charges $75 for the same size unit, and only increases their rental price by 10% annually. Anyway, I digress...the meaning of my update was to inform future potential renters that not only is this facility awful and misleading, but it is also extremely hazardous. While moving out I was injured by their faulty door. It at first felt like just a scratch, but ended up being a bleeding cut. What a great way to end things...with a dirty bleeding cut to the arm...of a door that is suppsed to stay open with a timer. But, the owner of the facility is negligent and does not care for anything but collecting money. I now understand why the manager that everyone held so dear, Glodean, ultimately left. Be careful here...It's ALL bad. read more

Went Through The Company Website 0n 11-1-17 and reserved a space through/with "Lane" Even the on-site manager called to confirm the reservation but failed to mention the broken elevator. After arriving on site, At 4664 Lincoln Ave Cypress,Ca as to check the site out is when I then learned and was told that there was only stair access because the elevator was broken and in dis-repair. I was really surprised to learn that the Corporate Office was not aware of this and didn't think this was important enough to mention. There was a previous post dated 10-14-17 about the Elevator being broken and it said it had been broken for months,I called the Corporate Office back and complained and let them know that it's pretty bad that they cant pass on this type of information to a prospective customer. The cost of a storage unit is very reasonable and beats most of their competition. The staff is very helpful and kind to their "tenants"!!! The office has a good selection of storage supplies (ie: tape, locks, boxes, etc.) and the units are clean & easily accessible, whether your unit is outside or inside.
