Been here twice and both times the employees make you feel like you are a bother and a child. They are rude and disrespectful with their dirty looks, talking behind your back and snarky comments. Upon bringing in 3 boxes and the one girl wanting to go home, she grabs the boxes and throws them on the ground. Not to mention the boxes say fragile. I asked her to please not throw them on the ground and she gave me a dirty look and says, " they will get tossed around even worse at the service center!" Then proceeds to throw my third and final box. Talk about disrespect! I guess this is what you have to look forward to now days as it relates to customer service at The UPS Store Garden Grove. I used to have a PO Box here I don't anymore I it was just a transitional thing while I was getting moved but during that time all of the young people that worked here were so sweet and so nice and so helpful I genuinely enjoyed coming in and interacting with them. I went in today and there's a whole new group of people working here and I needed help with the Amazon return machine and they said just follow the directions. Came here to do a quick Amazon drop off. Located conveniently across the gym that I go to. It's in a huge plaza so plenty of parking. I walked in with my package and I was greeted by Sebastian. He was quick and polite taking care of my package. I guess I didn't pack it well and I didn't realize that Amazon says customer pack, but he took care of it for me. No charge and I really appreciated that because it would've sucked to have to go all the way home or buy a little bit of tape just to finish packing it. He explained the policy that other UPS stores follow but he said that it was no problem and he would take care of it and I thank him for that. It really saved me time and some money. The lazy employee at the counter made me use the kiosk for my Amazon returns instead of helping me when I went to the front counter, and there were no other customers in the store. He saw that one of my items was too big for the bags at the kiosk so he gave me a bigger bag and then told me to go do it myself. If the store is empty and I told you, I only had a few returns. Sadly, my usually great experience at this store wasn't good today (approx 1pm, 2/19). Was dropping off a pre-labeled UPS box - asked the kid behind the counter where to drop it off. Without looking up from the project he was working on, he said "use the kiosk". So, I used the kiosk to process the shipment but still wasn't sure to drop the box. So, I asked the kid again and, again, without looking up, he said "in the slot". Well there are lots of "slots" in the UPS store but I finally realized there was a little slot to drop the box into back at the kiosk table. "This one"? Today, I went for a couple Amazon returns. This place is usually great. Wonderful customer service. Not today. Their customer service sucks. There were two guys behind the counter. I told them what I needed and one just pointed to the kiosk and basically said it needs to be done there. No offer of help/assistance. And there was more than one machine there; thank goodness I had been there a long time ago and at least remembered which machine to use. Again, no offer of assistance WHATSOEVER. Not even a, "Let me know if you need any help." Same when you need a label printed. They just say, "email it to us" and point to their email address. Again, no offer of assistance. I was able to make the one return, but I ended up walking out, out of pure frustration. I'll go to the one on Katella and Knott for my other return. They have better customer service. read more

I very dissatisfied with the way my packages were handled here. I visited this store today and was extremely disappointed by the level of service and employee training. After scanning pre-paid labels, the young girl repeatedly threw my packages onto the floor in front of me and made me concerned whether they were being properly scanned into the system and about the overall care of customer shipments. In other UPS locations I've used, packages are placed into bins or bags immediately after scanning, not dropped on the floor. I respectfully asked the employee to stop throwing my packages. Poor service received, I will not be using this UPS store again. read more

Located in the Vons plaza, a few doors left of Vons. TONS of parking; yes!! I have never had to wait for a return which is why I'm gladly giving them a 5 star review. All returns must be in a box, they'll tape and print the return but BYOB (box). You can buy new boxes at the store but I opted to come back instead of wasting a perfectly new box. So much faster and painless than the return at the Seal Beach Kohl's. I've bought stamps quickly in a pinch, the return process is phenomenal, & the customer service is top notch. The gentleman, who greeted me warmly the second I walked in, explained why the return was so easy and how the process would play out. After giving me my receipt, he asked if he could help with anything else, and invited me to come back for any of my shipping needs. Before leaving, I spoke with another employee who explained where they purchased the in-store fragrance machine. She highly recommended it and also showed me how it worked. I usually don't have trouble dropping off packages here but I've come in twice and needed assistance and had a negative experience. The first time I wanted to purchase a large box. The price was outrageous for one box. Today, I was shipping a pre-paid package internationally via UPS. I had printed it at home and my printer automatically prints on both sides. I didn't think this would be a problem since it's all going in the plastic sleeve. Turns out it has to be in separate sheets. I said "can't you make a copy?" And he went off and made copies and came back and then charged me 90 cents. I mentioned it would have been nice to know he would charge me for that. I reach for a card to contact the owner, the guy tells me HE is the owner. I was not provided a receipt for my copy "purchase". I learned my lesson about printing copies at home, but I certainly don't recommend this establishment for anything besides drop off. It's no wonder the employee turnover is so incredibly high here. read more

Normally this store is great. Employees are friendly and happy to help, hence the two stars Now the crappy part My child is doing a unit on Flat Stanley, if you don't know, it's a children's story about a kid who was "flattened" by a bulletin board that fell on him ‍ Anyway, since he's flat, his parents mail him to California on vacation and he has many other adventures. We decided to mail my child's "Flat Stanley" to my dad in WA. "Stanley" can fit in a regular priority mail type of envelope and he weighs only a few ounces, he's just a piece of thick cut paper. Since the project due date crept up on me, I needed Stanley to get to WA asap. On a Monday afternoon, I had already done a FedEx quote and it would have been 25 bucks to get him to WA by Wednesday afternoon. I was on my way to the FedEx Kinkos in Cypress when I thought why not just stop by the UPS Store and see what they can do, since it's closer anyway. Bad mistake! It was Monday at 1:18pm. The girl at the counter said that they could send it USPS Priority mail for me for $18.00. Sweet! That saves me an extra trip and a couple of dollars, so I told her we'd go ahead and do that. She gave me the receipt, tracking number and estimated date of delivery. Unfortunately, the UPS Store didn't even create a label for it until 9:31 PM that night and didn't get it to USPS until 11:30am, 22 hours later. I understand that after that it is out of their hands, but why did they sit on it for almost 24 hours?!?! Well, needless the say, by the time USPS received and processed it, the new delivery date was now Friday afternoon, which will now make my dad have to pay and arm and a leg for overnight shipping or have my 8 year old son's project be late In hindsight , I should have just gone over to the post office in the same shopping center. I live in a different neighborhood/city, so I forgot it was there ‍. Having said that, I will not trust this store to promptly ship anything again read more
