My son wanted the old school Matilda theme for his 6th birthday and I decided that Miss Honey's classroom would be perfect for the backdrop. I needed a 8ftx6ft birthday backdrop to be done in two days. I submitted a project quote here on Yelp and I had several responses from other printing shops including RedDot Printing. I was told my backdrop couldn't be done in two days, I was told that my image's resolution was too small, and other printing shops never responded. Z from RedDot Printing responds within minutes. He told me the same thing about my backdrop's resolution being to low for a huge printout, but what set him apart was that he took the time send me an email on how fix it so that he can print it. Once I fixed the image with his advice he said, "I can get that done in two days." and he delivered! I placed the order midday on a Wednesday and it was ready for pickup by 2:00PM on Friday. Pick up was seamless. He knew exactly who I was without introducing myself, he was friendly, full of personality, and so sweet. He unrolled the backdrop to show me his work and it was PERFECT! His price was cheaper than I imagined especially since this was a last minute request. Found a gem and hit the jackpot with his services. I just want to say that my job was a small job needed and I was having a hard time finding a company to accommodate. 144 baseball cards. Printed. I designed them on Canva, but needed them printed (like real trading cards). I called Z and from the first phone call, he was pleasantly helpful. I was planning on surprising my wife with tickets to see The Cure in Edinburgh, Scotland next year; or I should say I was not planning, because my plan was to just print out the boring "you got the tickets!" email from Ticketmaster and stick it in her Christmas card, very uneventful. Luckily for my wife, on the morning of December 22nd, I realized it would be a lot nicer if I could give her actual concert tickets; unluckily for me, because it was barely three days away from Christmas. I started to get faux ticket design ideas from ChatGPT, then went into Figma to craft something similar based on those ideas, and at the same time I went onto Yelp to find a printer in the area that could help me, explaining that I understand it's really short notice but that hopefully I could find someone to print a few faux tickets for me before Christmas so I could use them to surprise my wife. RedDot was the first page I landed on, and Z responded very quickly, saying he could take care of the job for me. Once I got him the designs and we settled on a print size, he told me they'd be ready in an hour. So I set off to do some more Christmas shopping and set my last stop as RedDot. When I got there, the tickets were done, and they looked great! I've attached some photos so you can see for yourself. The actual giving of the tickets went wonderfully, and I have a very nice video of my wife's shock and surprise when she found the envelope with the tickets in it, hidden at the bottom of a box with some other presents in it. His professional communication skills leave much to be desired. He does not keep his promises. I submitted an order over 4 months ago, and he never fulfilled it. He cited one personal reason after another for why he couldn't complete the order in a timely manner -- but promised he would get to it "next week" "in a few more weeks" "soon". He told me I could follow up with him via text, phone call, and email. When I followed up, he ignored every single text, phone call, and email so that I was forced to drive from Long Beach to Orange multiple times to his shop to follow up in person. Well, after over 4 months of being ignored and excuses, I finally cancelled the order. I was not treated well. No customer should be treated this way. This was unprofessionally done, and I am very disappointed. If I submit any more orders to Z and he delivers them in a timely manner, I will update my review. My context: I was looking for somewhere local to print some photographs my girlfriend took so we could hang them on the wall at the house. I reached out to Z and a couple other shops to get a few prints. Unfortunately I had another shop print the photographs before Z had time to respond. When I let him know that, he offered to print my photographs for free and compare the quality. My experience: Upon meeting Z, he was extremely welcoming, showed me his equipment in the back, cut the photographs for me, and refused to accept any form of payment. I really tried to give him any sort of money for the photographs, not to mention the exceptional quality of print.
