    I've use this company for like a year now and have had no issues... Instead I've been greeted by the very nice employees .

    I've been using the services of this business for almost a year now and I have had no issues with Lauster stolen packages.... The owners will text you the minute a package arrives to let you know which I find to be a great service and takes the guessing out of everything.... every time I go when I'm greeted with a smile and a question of how you're doing and how was your day... The people here are really friendly and caring which makes it a nice place to do business with and they will go above and beyond to help you with whatever you need and not make you feel bad for asking for help.

    Almost 10AM on a Friday and they're not open yet.

    I arrived at the store at 9:04 AM. The sign posted on the door stated the store opened at 9AM. I waited a few minutes then decided to go to the neighboring market and buy some time. It is now 9:35 AM and still no clerk has arrived. I understand a small business running a little behind but this is unacceptable.

Penske isn't the most affordable truck rental company, so it's worth checking out other options--U-Haul and Budget--if Penske doesn't strike your fancy. We have tried moving supply boxes and dog products thru this company with so many choices of truck we usually rent 22-26 footer for our move better and more effective always offering some kind of gear and extra product we do not need. We get military discount, As far as protection plan we always accept the limited damage warranty then we call our work insurance to add protection. We only move 10 miles daily but sometimes we use it thru orange county for pick up products. But overall, it offers a wide range of truck sizes to choose from.

    Severely overcharged a nonprofit and unwilling to make it right…read more Our nonprofit band booster organization rented a truck from the Anaheim location at 1625 S State College Blvd., for a school event to transport student equipment. The base rental cost was about $250, which was reasonable. However, after returning the truck, we were charged an additional $178 for fuel, which is where the problem lies. We drove the truck 58 miles total. Based on standard fuel efficiency, this should have used approximately 4-5 gallons of fuel. Instead, Penske charged us for 21.5 gallons at $8.10 per gallon, an amount completely disproportionate to the actual usage. When we questioned the charge, we were told the truck had a 115-gallon fuel tank, and because the fuel gauge showed a difference of 3/16 of a tank, they billed us accordingly, regardless of the fact that the mileage driven mathematically does not support that level of fuel consumption. This would equate to an absurd 2.7 miles per gallon, which is not realistic for normal driving conditions and minimal cargo. Despite explaining the math, the mileage, and the situation (and despite being a nonprofit organization working to support students) Penske was completely inflexible and unwilling to adjust the charge or offer any goodwill resolution. While the explanation technically "made the math work," it ignored common sense, real-world fuel usage, and basic customer service, especially toward a nonprofit simply trying to get kids' equipment to and from an event. This experience left a very sour taste. We will be extremely cautious about renting from Penske again and strongly advise other nonprofits and schools to fill the tank exactly to the original level or risk excessive and unreasonable fuel charges. Very disappointing.

    Beware of not getting what you want here and through the Penske website. I reserved a common van…read moreonline. The morning before I was to pick it up, I was called and told they are very popular vans and I couldn't have it. They would give a much larger truck, which would not work at all where I was going. And they also offered me a discounted mileage rate on that truck that was higher than on the van I reserved. I told them it wouldn't work for me and they started looking around SoCal, unable to find me anything that would work anywhere nearby. This is BS, as in Bait and Switch. If your website reservation system is a lie, then take it down. Reminds me of the "Seinfeld" episode with the rental car counter. Seinfeld: "But the reservation keeps the car here. That's why you have the reservation." Rental car lady: "I know why we have reservations." Seinfeld: "I don't think you do. You know how to take the reservation. You just don't know how to hold the reservation and that's really the most important part of the reservation. The holding. Anybody can just take 'em." Penske's inability to hold a reservation cost me three hours in lost time as I was on my way to a memorial service. I'm only giving one star since the lady on the phone was nice and did try, but Penske's reservation system wasn't reliable for me and I won't trust them again.

The base price was very competitive for a 17 foot truck, and the cost for mileage wasn't a big deal since it was a local move, but I believe it was competitive as well. The main thing I wanted to avoid were the long waits and terrible customer service that I had read about in the U-Haul reviews. Well, this Penske location came through! My reservation was for 9am and there was no wait. The Home Depot customer service desk is where you pick up the rental. There's a small amount of paperwork, then they walk you outside to check the truck for damage before you leave. They got me in and out quickly with good customer service. Upon returning the truck, I brought the keys inside and they walked out and checked for damage and gas levels before signing off. Everything went very smoothly!

    Worst customer service experience I've ever had. Called this morning to ask if the location would…read morestill be open because of the chemical spill a couple miles from the location. I was told I'd get a call back with an answer. Shortly after I get a call saying "if you come right now you can pick up the keys". After getting dropped off doors were locked and only the manager was behind the counter. She immediately tried telling me to leave because they were closed but I explained that I was called and told I could still pick up. After a couple minutes of going back and forth she finally let me in but not until after a "I'm sorry your rental is more important than my health". I responded with the fact that I was called and told I can pick up the vehicle, I wouldn't have gotten dropped off other wise. She ignored that and just continued being rude. After finally getting the keys while she was on the phone in front of me she said "yea some people just don't understand the health impacts of chemical spills". I responded with another "you guys called me and said that I was good". She then said no one called me and told me to leave. Attached is a screenshot of the incoming call from U-Haul telling me to come get the keys. I wouldn't have had any issue going to a different location for pick up. But I was told this one would still be open. The store messed up but instead of taking ownership of putting out bad information I was the one blamed. Do better.
