The process began with confusion regarding mailbox pricing, fees, and identification requirements. The employee assisting me, Carlos, appeared unsure about the mailbox agreement, the forms of ID that were acceptable, and the fees that applied. The agreement I was given appeared to contain terms and pricing that did not match what I was being told at the counter. When I requested a copy of the agreement I was signing, I was told I would be charged 40 cents per page for a copy of my own signed agreement. When a copy was eventually made, only the first page was copied. After I requested a complete copy of the agreement, the interaction became increasingly unprofessional. During the discussion, Carlos became argumentative and called me a "rude ass." I felt verbally abused and harassed by the way I was spoken to. No customer should be insulted or spoken to that way for asking questions about a contract they are being asked to sign. After that interaction, I requested a refund because I no longer felt comfortable doing business with the store. I was told I would have to wait for management approval. During that time, another employee, Moesis, informed me that only a manager could approve the refund. The process continued to drag on, and what should have been a simple mailbox setup turned into an ordeal lasting approximately an hour, including time spent speaking with corporate customer service. While attempting to understand why the fees and agreement did not match, I was informed that the mailbox agreement had not been updated. I was told that the store manager, Carol Lee, had not updated the agreement being provided to customers, which may have contributed to the confusion regarding pricing, fees, and terms. I also had to specifically request the return of paperwork containing my personal information. I ultimately left without opening a mailbox and with serious concerns about the professionalism, training, management, and customer service at this location. Between the confusion over fees, the outdated agreement, the lengthy delay, and being called a "rude ass" by an employee, this experience fell far below what I would expect from a business handling customers' personal information and mailbox services. I hope UPS Store management reviews the conduct of the employees involved, the accuracy of the agreements being provided to customers, and the overall customer service practices at this location so that future customers do not have a similar experience.

For the notary, they were careful and detail-oriented. When it came to my baby's passport photo, they initially suggested taking the photo at home since it can be easier for babies. However, when I arrived, they were more than willing to try taking the photo there--and my baby did just fine. The photo was printed within about ten minutes and it cost $18.31 for two copies of 2x2. This price is reasonable compared to other places. The staff member who helped us was very kind and patient with both me and my baby. I also noticed they assist with TSA PreCheck processing, which is super convenient. The location is clean, the staff are helpful, and I highly recommend Postal Annex for notary services, passports, and shipping needs.

I had heard that PostalAnnex specialized in multiple sizes passport and visa photos (Postal Annex came recommended to me for Chinese Visas - you can even pay them to fill out and submit the application for you! But I opted to do it myself but I still needed the photo). I called just to make sure and they told me they indeed do passport and visa photos (including for China) and when I asked if I needed to make an appointment - they said "no you can just show up anytime during opening hours but it's good to come at least 15 minutes before closing because the whole process takes about 15 minutes) When I showed up there was plenty of parking (it is located on the intersection of Culver and Irvine Center Drive in the main shopping center across from the McDonalds. There was also a sign on the window advertising that they do photos and the Chinese Visas so that was a good sign. The man who took my photo was very nice and knowledgeable - I liked that he seemed very experienced and had done a ton of these before. I also liked how he showed me my photo to make sure I liked it for final approval before he just printed it. You give them your email address for the digital copy and then you also get 2 printed photos for $24.99 which came to about $26 after tax. I just waited in the store (they have 3 chairs you can wait in and have a fridge with drinks to purchase too - or you can walk around the center while you wait). The woman Amrit who works there was also very reassuring and friendly and super helpful as was the man (whose name I didn't get). I chose this location because the other Postal Annex has received some negative Yelp reviews for unfriendly service but at this location (15333 Culver Dr) the service was OUTSTANDING and I will be coming here for all my future passport and visa photo needs! (They also do mailing, have mailboxes, etc.)
