I've had a few people sending me msg's stating this happened to them or someone close to them... the latest person who sent me a msg was a renter also at thee same location where I rented. When she Described the violation that was done to her unit and property ... Well let's just say exact same that happen to me . From holes on the walls, in her unit , missing lock and missing property basically robbed from her own property. Sad to say how this place continues to make business and steal from their own customers .. The app made it very easy to make a reservation which included a great deal. When I arrived, I was greeted and taken care of immediately , it was very easy. I have rented storage units from this location in the past and always had excellent service and nice accommodations. I would give this place zero stars if I could but their hours are HORRIBLE! Do not use this place. They close at 6 p.m. on the weekdays and 5 p.m. on the weekends. Makes it impossible to access during a work week. Then, just to show how courteous they are, they send you a text and email if you exit after hours. NOT WORTH THE COST. read more

This review in intended for anyone new and looking for storage space. I believe that you will need to have this information to make a decision on what storage to select. Recently I rented a 10x10 storage and while I appreciate the facilities being clean and easy to obtained and navigate, once thing I was not expecting (and obviously they won't tell you) is the high increase on the monthly rent space. In less than 5 months, I went from paying like close to $111.00 to $153.00 with out an explanation of the increase. Well, I reached out to customer service and this is the resolution provided, but not an explanation???: Dear Nelson, Thank you for contacting Public Storage Customer Service. We understand an increase in rent is never a welcome event and apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. When I showed up for my reservation. I was showed the perfect space. Upon completion of the paper work, I was told the insurance was part of the rental agreement,I explain I had been a repeat customer. I looked for the pamphlet, none around. Since I was there with my truck loaded, I signed the agreement. Later I found my old pamphlet. Went into the office, signed a form to removal of the insurance. Being a trusting person, I believed it was done. Later I saw that the insurance wasn't taken off I ask for the area supervisor. I was ignored, for 3 months, finally I was referred to the insurance company, that took another 2 months with no favorable results. Since they didn't have the form I signed, COMPLAIN denied. No customer service. I warn everybody. BAD SERVICE AND LIES. read more

Very bad service They rent you online and charge you online and hold the gate codes not activate until you see the property manager to confirm the ID But the hard thing to meet this man he not at the office all the time and he gives you fake appointments and he doesn't show up and he doesn't answer the phone I rent the unit before 4 days and still doesn't have the access to go in the unit!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DO NOT STORE YOU BELONGINGS HERE! Unless you want to donate your stuff to thieves. I moved in a month ago & my prized possessions were stolen ($5-$8k worth). Public Storage & their employees don't give a rats ass about you as long as they get their rent. There are many issues w this place. 1. The side fence has been cut at least 8 times & that's how thieves get into the property after hours. 2. The empty units do not have locks. Public storage place a plastic ID on the locks which can be removed by the new owner. Until the new owner moves in it is literally unlocked. All the thieves need to do is access one of these units and tunnel their way through drywall to access the other units. On 2/3/2021 I got a call from Orange PD. They called me because I actually work w police officers on a daily basis. This is blatant disregard for their customers who pay hundreds of dollars a month to secure their possessions. 3. Drywall is what separates your unit from ur neighbors unit. So if your neighbor is a thief, he has access to yours also. If the public storage employee is a thief, he can just tell his/her buddies how to get into these units. It is not safe. I've talked to many tenants and this place has been broken into several times. DO NOT RENT HERE IF YOU CHERISH YOUR BELONGINGS! I sold my home and I stored my valuable possessions here until I relocate. I have photos and videos. I never post negative reviews.. but this place is complete trash. I had my storage unit broken into and the girl dalia working there had no clue the lock on my unit had been replaced and was missing their storage sticker that verified the lock being issued. She claim they do daily walks throughout the place but that BS!! She didn't do her job and it cost me everything I owned. Then when I tried to talk to her about it. Trying to see if my lock was still one prior to the day of the incident she got a bad attitude with me and said for me not to tell her how to do her job. You're better off leaving your stuff outside somewhere since it'll be the same and you won't have to pay anyone a monthly fee plus insurance. Their insurance is also a joke. This place is trash. Constantly getting units broken into and no action is taking place. DO NOT COME TO THIS PLACE. The one star is for me to be able to post this. They don't deserve even one of those stars. read more

Unfortunately, this company has a wonderful easy location for Chapman students but is not easy to work with. When my college daughter went to check out at the end if May... no one was in the office. She went numerous times at various office hours and no attendee in the office. On the first day of the month (when payment is due), her unit was cleaned out, she went to check out at the office before noon. They charged her the FULL amount for June... $200. We have talked to the location management and called numerous time the national main office. I do not recommend this location. Not college student friendly. read more

Update: 7/18/21, I left messages last week for both the District Manager Tiffany at 707-595-8472 x 3169 and Senior District Manager Bilal Vashi at 714-568-7611 x 3165, both messages have gone unresponded to for a week. That tells me that the stink starts at the top and rolls downhill, corporate and management at Public Storage is a disgrace. Won a unit here via auction on Storage Treasures. Drove over 45 mins to pick up unit and nobody is in the office. Thought they might be on lunch so I waited over an hour and nobody ever showed up or answered the phone here. Multiple people who wanted to rent a unit also showed up and left to rent from another facility since nobody was in the office. Their office hours were posted as 930am to 5pm today, I arrived at 11am and left @ 12:22pm. Wasted $20 in gas and over two hours of my time in commuting and waiting at facility. And this was after the manager Dahlia had called me the night before to confirm what time I was coming in on Sunday. Dahlia is by far the rudest manager I've ever encountered at a PS facility. If they treat their working relationship vendors with such disrespect I can only imagine how they treat their regular customers! Do yourself a favor and rent from another company. read more

We selected our storage unit online prior to our visit. Gretchyn and Debbie were incredibly friendly and helpful when we arrived. They both gave suggestions that were helpful and were very knowledgeable about the area. They were happy to help us get a bit more acquainted with the city of Anaheim. I can tell you that my experience was nothing but positive. I noticed a previous review and am wondering if they are reviewing the correct facility since our storage unit is a drive up, also the building was not multistory and nothing but friendly faces. I know there is another storage facility nearby though. Maybe that is the one the reviewer was speaking. read more

Our storage unit was broken into 2 months ago along with several other units at this facility. Several people had items stolen. A 4 foot x 2 foot hole was punched through the drywall. Our unit was never repaired, and rather than offering any sort of discount following this frustration, our rent was INCREASED. After I called to follow up several weeks after the incident the company told us we could pull all of our stuff out while they repaired the hole, but they would not pay for movers to move all of our stuff. read more

This was my first time renting a storage unit. Gretchen helped me. She explained everything thoroughly and made the process super easy. I thought I knew when I wanted to get my items out of storage, so she set up my move-out date in advance. When I realized I needed more time, all I had to do was call and Debbie walked me through how to pay online and also set me up for a new move out date. It was very easy! My unit, along with many others, was broken into. Since I do not live in Orange, I was unable to come and check to see whether or not things were taken. The employees at Public Storage didn't answer my initial calls when I found out about the break in. Also, I was not compensated or given any sort of apology for this. It turns out some of my personal belongings were taken, and although not expensive, is still disturbing. Obviously, security is not a priority at this location. read more
