    Poorly constructed and dirty unit.

    I stored mainly furniture from my initial move to Seattle at this Public Storage for a few years. I'd moved from a much larger home into a Seattle-sized apartment and then townhome, and wanted to keep some of my furniture pending moving into a single family home. My rate started at $171 ($11 a month toward insurance) and went steadily up in $20 increments to $225. About a year and a half into my rental period, this property was infested by rats and it went downhill from there. Public Storage insurance does NOT cover rats or pests. The rat issue was not resolved in the remaining year and a half, only reduced. See my photos for rat damage and general cleanliness of the unit. This unit was always dirty no matter how much I cleaned it, due to the insecurity of the door (dirt came in from underneath) and rat activity between units (walls are super thin and even slightly open in places). Some other details to note. First, many moving trucks cannot fit down the steep driveway and into the gate for this property. A small Uhaul is all you can get in. That means no Salvation Army truck, large moving truck, or pod drop-off is going to work. Second, there is no dumpster for renters. The property itself is always dirty and seems poorly secured. The good--the guy at the counter. He's a super nice guy. I almost felt bad leaving a bad review because of it, but at $225 a month, this was the worst Public Storage I've ever rented at.

    RAT excrement

    DO NOT rent a space from here. They have a rat infestation that left my clothes, pictures, and other belongings covered with chew marks and rat excrement. I've stopped by their office several times and no one is ever there (even during posted hours). I've also called several times to address the issue, and no one answers or calls back. I have attempted to call the corporate office, and leave an email, to no availI. I am so disappointed I will never be a customer at a public storage again.

    The only thing you'll ever get is this. Customer service doesn't care.

    Do not rent from here. Literally never available. Just poor customer service and never maintained. No true hours. Just here and there availability. Need to get into the storage business so I can literally do nothing for a living. Must be really nice

    Falso promises on rates offered. The manager guaranteed…read morerates would not change and they would advise 30 days before the change so I could reach out to him to maintain same rates as I was planning a long term. Rates increase in over 30% without any notice and rates "could not" be readjusted. Disappointed as I had other storage options to choose. *In reference to the response provided here. I was informed to reach out to the number below and they couldn't do anything and requested me to check back again to the storage location...so I was basically put in a loop with no resolution.

    I've had three storage units here over the couple of years…read more I bought my last storage unit online, the lady with the braids is not friendly she talks with an attitude and asks if I had a previous unit here before and I say yes. Whatever, I ignore her behavior because I already paid for the unit. I return to say my unit wasn't showing up in my account she immediately tells me "no I don't believe you". I show her. She tells me they don't train them for anything. Once again whatever, it's irritating how much of an attitude she has. I lost my keys immediately to my last unit, I payed $70 to have the lock cut with a new lock. They tell me the keys will be there in the morning the next day. I wait until 3 pm just in case. I come in the lady with the braids immediately starts asking "who did you talk to" I said I don't know she said was it a white guy like why does it matter? hella attitude she's not helpful or friendly at all. they tell me the lock isn't cut cause they needed to charge the drill for 12 hours. They will let me know tomorrow when it's done. Next day I come in once again around 1 pm they tell me that they don't have drill bits the lady in the braids says they're broke and can't buy more hella attitude , the man says they can't have someone from a different location drop a drill off or drill it because "it's almost the 15th that's the busiest time everyone is using theirs" mind you he's not even close to be rude like the other lady she starts barking at me over and over again saying I didn't lose your keys it's not my problem. I said no you didn't lose my keys but I paid for you to drill the lock and you don't even know when you can drill it? I have a two week period and I'm on a time crunch. The man says it'll be done by then forsure like okay , it'll be done but I need to access right now. The woman says I'll refund you and I tell her ok and then ima call someone else to drill it and she said no it's not allowed. (I didn't get a refund). I ask to have a unit temporarily and she immediately tells me no and she's not going to help me. I ask her to call who ever is in charge and ask them what to do and if they can have money to buy a drill because at this point they don't have a working drill, nor allow anyone to drill it. A man I assume is the manager comes in and tells me he will call the district manager immediately because I will have to pay the administrative fee, other fees, sign a whole new lease to temporary store my stuff in a different unit and he's going to ask them what to do. I already know at this point he's not going to call me. I already needed to buy a different storage unit. So congrats on them they get a whole $150 for empty storage unit. I literally bought a 10 by 10 and I have roughly 4 tubs and a Christmas tree in there. What others say about price hikes are true. The gate is always broken. Those are inconvenient sure but this lady's sheer ignorance is disgusting. I have no idea when I will be able to get my stuff out.
