We needed a storage unit upon moving to Washington and this place proved to be the perfect fit from the beginning. We had our belongings shipped U-Pack and they will deliver your goods that you loaded on a trailer and give you three days to unload. Worried about finding a storage facility that would be accommodating to this was a little stressful but when visiting the facility they assured this was no problem and something they were accustomed to. Our tour of the facility, really impressed me. Well lit, great security, very clean and great customer service. I should mention that we have changed units too. We are now in third unit. As we moved into our place and had less items to store, we moved Into smaller units to save money. Moving was easy and painless as they have elevators, wide halls, lights, and flat bed dollys to help move your items in and out of units. The storage is facility is locked by gates after 10pm. To enter the building and elevator you have to enter your security code. The place is well surveillance with security cameras too. My only gripe is that I have to do new paperwork every time we change a unit. But I guess if I had switched to a another storage i would still be doing paperwork - so I guess I get it. Anyways - highly recommend for all your storage needs. read more

I personally don't have a unit here but my friend does and I'm the one who helped him move everything in/out so I'm here a lot. He has one of the smaller units for $100/month. It's very convenient that they have a moving van you can rent for really cheap. Upon moving in it says it's free but he still had to pay so I'm not sure what the "free move in" actually applies to. He also won a raffle when he got the unit which ended up at my place and me eating all the goodies in it. Haha. It's very secure here since you have to type your code into the front gate to get in after hours as well as to get into the actual storage building. Each time you go in you have to type the code in which can get difficult if you're carrying things but it's for security so I get it. It's monitored 24/7 as well. They have a bunch of flat dollies inside to use that will save you from making too many trips from your car to your unit. The facilities are really clean and comfortable. They have music playing. The front gate does lock at 10:15pm - on the dot. If you're inside you're pretty much stuck unless you want to pay for the towing company to open the front gate for you. You can still get in and out of the facility but not out of the property. I suppose if you park on the road outside you could stay later but I'm not sure if there's a walkway you can leave from so it's better to just leave before 10pm. read more

I rented at a different facility in the past and extreme temp changes really messed up the lather on our sofas. #2) Metal walls and concrete floors so there are no rats, spiders, or other creepy crawlers #3) Multiple loading docks and wide hallways #4) The manager Tracy is always very helpful and super nice #5) 24/7 security and video monitoring The only complaint I have is that it's annoying to go to the 2nd and 3rd floor and the elevators get busy on the weekend. A few extra steps and few extra minutes are well worth it considering the other amenities this place has to offer. read more

Definitely consider other storage venues. I did the paper work, paid, and 4 hours later brought my stuff over. Unfortunately the manager did not enter my information into the system and I could not get past the gate. Wow, this completely messed up our moving weekend :( What's worse, the manger din't apologize or comp us any discount despite the fact we drove out from Seattle, could not access our paid for space and had to completely reschedule our moving plans. I have used Newcastle Heated Storage for 5 years now. Have had as many as three units and down to one. They have always been very accommodating and flexible with my storage needs. The truck is an added bonus as I have used it many times. Heather is awesome! read more

Do not utilize Newcastle Heated Storage. If you spend literally one second past 10:15 PM in their facility you be locked inside, required to pay $75 and wait 40 min for a towing company in Everett to unlock the gate. We will be finding service elsewhere as soon as possible. Never in my life have I heard of a Storage facility locking their patrons within the facility. Travesty of a business. read more

YOUR STUFF WILL LOVE IT THERE....ours sure does! By ours, I mean the props for Renton Civic Theatre. As a board member, we were tasked with the almost impossible feat of having to find a new location for 25 years worth of props. Tina happened to call us at this same time that we were hunting and asked us to come down just to chat with her. We walked into the office and Tina and the other guys were amazing. The building it new, and the staff is still getting used to where all the lockers are. But, once we figured out which lockers we wanted, the process was easy. Moving our props in went smoothly and our stuff really does love it there. Heated, motion activated lights, nice large elevator and parking lot that makes it easy to unload. read more

The units they advertise are NOT the size they say they are. If you take a tape measure you discover the 10 by 14 foot unit that you pay a hefty amount for is in actuality more like 9 by 13! Instead of 140 square feet, you are paying for 117 square feet. I measured four different units, and each one of those units was roughly one foot short on BOTH the length and the width. It is simply false advertising to give a measurement that is inaccurate .... read more

We booked a unit two weeks before we see set to arrive and everything seemed wonderful. The day before move in, I called to confirm the time because we would arrive a little later than excepted. They had dropped my reservation with no notice at all! Not only was it dropped by now they wanted to rent it to me at a higher rate than inicially quoted. The woman on the phone assured me she had sent an email about dropping it because they hadn't heard from me, but I had nothing from them. Very disappointing and unprofessional. read more

One of the storage rooms they were trying to sell had water in the floor and a bunch of dead bugs. The manager wouldn't honor the coupon that was posted on yelp because she said marketing made a mistake. Had all these rules and stipulations for using the "free" moving truck so it wasn't actually free. It wasn't hard to walk away from this place. read more

After renting a unit for 1 year they have raised my rent 25% for increased operating costs and property upgrades. It's a nice facility and they do tell you rent can be increased at any time. I was thinking 5-10% increase so I was shocked to see 25%. read more

Seems a little pricy but is convenient and clean. The units are nice. The numbering system for units needs a little help (some of the signs don't point the right directions. They allow after hours usage until 10pm which is convenient. They had a hard time getting my codes up and going and I had to get assistance every step of the way. The workers were nice and genuinely wanted to help. It's nice that there is no set agreement or lock in time frame, rather it's month to month storage. You just give them 10+ days notice when you are ready to move out. read more

Reserving a unit on-line is also not possible as advertised - they will later call and tell you that, due to their overwhelming popularity, you will need to either pay now for the unit or take your chances on your moving date. read more

From the moment I walked into the office I was treated with utmost respect and kindness/understanding. You can tell Tina is someone who is passionate about her job and the people she serves. I felt like we were friends from the day I set up my unit. Not only did she give me very good direction on what I would need, she also gave me a great price for the size I rented. Dan took me to look at units and he was very accommodating. The first one I didn't feel strongly about so he had no problem giving me tours of other units until I found just the one I wanted. He was very down to earth and easy to get along with. When I see him now he still calls me by name. He makes sure the buildings condition is top notch for all of the renters to store their belongings in a clean and secure environment. I've had a unit there now for four months and whenever I come in Shantell and Tina offer me coffee and cookies and ask me about my day. They genuinely care about whats going on in my life and how they can help. I would have never expected much from a storage unit facility, but now that I've experienced Newcastle Heated Storage they've really set the bar in my mind. I can't imagine storing my things anywhere else. I would recommend this facility to ANYONE looking for a place to store. They go above and beyond and epitomize value. Keycode locks add to the security, the building is heated and in great condition- near brand new and sparkling, they have multiple carts and ease of access to make moving in a breeze, they have great moving truck options, great hours, always free coffee and cookies (my favorite), your own personal lock to your unit so that not even they can access your things (very respectful), and when you throw Tina, Dan, and Shantell on top of that it doesn't get any better.
