Amber is absolutely amazing and helpful. Amber made sure to answer my questions before they were open and had my reservation at the ready for my 11am appointment. She made all of my worries go away. She gets all the stars! Thank you Amber for all of your help with my storage read more

It's hard to get in contact with customer service. The app makes you go in circles and the work order to fix the electricity so our unit would have lighting hasn't been pushed at all. The neighboring unit renters left trash in front of our unit. The girl working here can only do so much herself I wish they would help her hire an electrician read more

The initial call went through with a gentleman that I don't remember his name. He was very kind and professional. He explained a lot and made certain I understood everything. He provided details as to what to do and expect and got me a unit quickly. I visited the location and never met an actual live person but everything went very well. Thanks! read more

The manager was super helpful and a pleasure to work with. The facilities are clean and well kept

This is thee worst storage unit they raise prices without you knowing. i have been broken into 2 times and they won't even discount your rental cause they are their thieves themselves. The customer service won't do anything for you. I highly suggest stay away from this building or any public storage, the people inside are nice it's the company that sucks. read more

There was a misunderstanding with my access code and the lady at the front desk decided to pass a very inappropriate comment about one of my family members. I have rented with Public Storage near downtown Seattle before and enjoyed it. This place I will be moving my belongings out as soon as possible. read more

Great customer service. Tess is awesome and very helpful.

I had my storage unit 18 months. I was broken into twice. They have no working cameras on the property. The thieves know this. They can not help the Police with any identification. I was broken into January 2022 and back then they said they were fixing the cameras. Another break in September 2022 and still no working cameras. The insurance that is mandatory at 15 dollars a month is a sham. You will needs receipts and id numbers on everything that is stolen, if not they wont help you. read more

Would strongly discourage using this facility. Our storage unit was broken into and we had many valuables stolen. No one ever informed us there had been a break in and we only found out when we opened the unit. When we told management what happened she pretended to be shocked and told us that they would go through all of the security footage, only to tell us later that the cameras were off during the time of the break-in?? That seems like something you'd remember or reach out to your renters about. It honestly felt like it was in inside job with the management there. They were shady about details of the break-in, didn't inform us that there was a break-in, and were not helpful at all after we found out. Save your money and your possessions and rent from somewhere else. SUPER SHADY. read more

There was a reason I kept on going back to Seattle aside from visiting old friends.... To oversee my things that were shipped and placed on storage. When my father passed away I decided to leave New York and move to Seattle... That was way back in 1996. Sold my house, shipped my things, moved to a condo and plan to follow after a year. Unfortunately that plan fizzled out (my son decided he didn't want to come with us and I didn't want to leave him here in New York by himself) so we stayed and all my things were all left still in storage in Kent, Washington.. Went back there a couple of times, each time taking out some boxes and mailing it back to NY... all my things were still all intact....Some of my stuff like the , TV, Kingsize and Single Beds I gave away to my friend. Also had my Wurlitzer piano placed in her living room. My latest trip there was a disaster....As soon as we open the storage, I noticed all of my Chinese furnitures were gone, Altar Tables, Coromandel Screen, Chinese Cabinets, Chairs and Tables...all of my prized furnitures shipped here from Hongkong...were all gone...I was heart broken but we were told that it was'nt insured....I just can't do anything...I believe it was an inside job...it was a despicable thing to do....they probably thought...the owner hasn't come back for years...but it was beingpaid ontime...who know's what really happened....I was furious but it's not worth having a heart attack on something that 's gone. I don't want to dwell on it......so if anybody wants to put something on storage....BE CAREFUL... what you put on storage....now we know it 's not always safe....at least I was able to recover all the childhoods pictures andf albums of my children...which to me was more valuable and irreplaceable.......' read more

Tess is fantastic! She helped us manage an out of town move. Everything was pre-arranged over the phone. We flew into Seattle, loaded our 'POD' and flew out - easy and on schedule. Tess made it all happen. Thank you Tess!! read more

They raise the price $20 per year with no warning. I started paying $47; I'm up to $87 per month. I've used the same unit. I'm curious what improvements justify raising the rent minimum 25%/year. I don't know anyone getting a 25% raise per year. On top of that, I moved out at the end of last month and still got charged for the next month. If you're going to move out, make sure it's when they're in the office. If not, your business won't be handled properly. This location and corporate are not fun to deal with. read more

Good customer service, gate code texted to us had one wrong number but they were able to correct this and got us all fixed up. Doing all of this long distance could have been hard, but the app really helps, also like the autopay feature. Price very competitive, very happy so far! read more

Excellent service!! Highly recommend. They helped me get the deal on first month's rent. Great over the phone and in person. Very clear about what I owed and when it was due. I felt safe going to my unit alone after dark. Stellar experience! read more

When we first moved in to this storage facility, we had reserved a unit that was too small for all of our stuff. The manager was able to upgrade us easily and get us the next size up and we even got a small discount for doing the change. I had thought that we had signed a 1 year lease but come six months into our rental period and they raised the rental fee. Here we are about a year from then and they just raised it again! I don't know what they're thinking but I can't afford any more rate hikes! Now I gotta research other facilities and then rent a truck and move all of my stuff from one place to another just so that I can afford to keep all of my stuff and not have it go to auction because the facility is greedy and can't seem to treat their customers fairly. Fortunately, the location of my unit is pretty remote so it doesn't seem to get any attention from criminals but they don't have security cameras so if anyone were to break in, they wouldn't have any video evidence. I thought that we were getting a reasonable deal when we signed up for our unit here but after just about a year and a half, I realize that Public Storage is all about how much they can squeeze you for. My advice is to keep on looking. I know the market changes but these facilities have little to no overhead. They've owned their buildings and property outright for years so the only expense they have is payroll and utilities. They don't need to raise the rental fees every single time they have the opportunity and I'm tired of everyone reaching deeper and deeper into my pockets these days. I'll be moving out as soon as I find a better deal. read more

It was easy to get and being able to open the gate with the app is a cool now fetcher

So I rent two storage units at public storage in Kent Washington the bigger of the two was raised $20 from 74 to $94 the second one which is smaller was raised from $54 to $135 please explain that to me and after disputing that they were willing to drop it by $14 so now I pay $121 still explain that to me and then I've heard from many people that their units were broken in to and it was an inside job. Just the other day mine was broken into and I came down today to go into my storage now their lock is on it cuz I put it on there last night from the worker that was here last night and I need to do an inventory of what's missing for the police report and the Lady Jane is refusing to let me do that because I don't have a lock which I have no transportation I am not in the best of health right now so I said I was unable to do that until tomorrow can I just use their lock again and she starts waving her hands and yelling at me and talking over me and telling me she understands my situation and I asked her to please stop lying because she does not understand my situation and so she refused to let me do anything and kick me out all while she's on the phone with her manager Chelsea so I said I wanted to speak to Chelsea so she put Chelsea on speaker phone and as I'm trying to explain to Chelsea what's happening she starts to cut me off and wave her hands in the air again threatening and I'm trying to explain that to Chelsea what she's doing so she says no Chelsea I'm not even going to let her speak to you and hangs up on her own boss and kicks me out and says she's going to call the police on me please explain this to me so now I have no access to the things that I have left in my storage I have no clothes no toiletries no access to my medication (I'm diabetic and insulin dependent and I leave my stuff in my storage because I'm homeless and don't have anywhere to keep it so I'm guessing she's a little prejudiced because of the homeless situation and wants to stereotype) I have nothing all because this lady wants to feel some type of way cuz I asked her not to lie to me about understanding my situation? Yea right what's the real reason. Maybe I'll just get a lawyer have them determine the real reason read more

This storage service so bad. I got quote to rent storage only $60 month since it was cheaper than other place but after sign in they told me if I have storage insurance? After I told no they raised to $100 I became unhappy . Why they did not tell me front ? 2. They told me my lock is too small and told me buy ours I asked quote they told me $40 I went k mart and found bigger lock for $15 and brought and asked front desk if this lock OK Customer service person approved. but when I was out of state and told how to pay from out of state? they instruct me. I sent by mail then after I come back they called me my lock was destroyed and my valuable item include electronic appliance stolen but they never compensate even their fault of insufficient watch and they approved my big lock.I regret I should not say I was out of state. read more

this storage facility is a great place to keep your stored items secure. my first day trying to input the security code causedme stress and grief. however when contacting customer service to help they neutralized the problem and relieved my stress and anxiety. my code was too new and had not processed through their system. i pretty much jumped the gun and wanted to get my stuff in there quickly. this is an awesome place with people boom know what they're doing. i definitely recommend read more

I had my absolute worst nightmare happen before my eyes at this place a few months ago! IF U ARE CONSIDERING RENTING HERE PLEASE DON'T!!!! I REPEAT DONT!!!!!!!! I just had my storage unit wiped completely clean from this location just a few short months ago out of unit L17. I literally had boxes and bins stacked from floor to ceiling in this unit. The thieves did not leave one single box in that place. No matter how much I want to give the management at this place the benefit of the doubt my gut keeps telling me that it had to be an INSIDE JOB! Everyone I have told my story to seems to agree. It would appear that it would have to have been a person or persons who felt comfortable enough to take their time to remove every last single box or container out of my unit which took some time b/c I had 20-30 containers in their along with other misc items. Someone who knew the ins and outs of this facility, who knew there was no REAL security system there. Everything I ever owned was in that unit including sentimental items given to me by my husband who passed away in 2007. Anything I ever planned to give to my son who was only 7 years old when his father passed away to be able to remember him by ARE GONE! Pictures, clothes, stuffed animals, videos...Nothing! My son NO LONGER has any tangible memories of his father thanks to this Public Storage! The manager Tess told me and the investigating officer that she and another coworker faithfully checks the locks there every single day and was adamant about it! If this is the case why did she not ever notice that there was a different LOCK on my unit that was not even closed or secure for months on end??? Why didnt she ever CALL ME to let me know any of this?!?!!!! HIGHLY HIGHLY SUSPICIOUS in my book! To top it all off I was paying for my unit on auto pay for months and months that my storage unit was probably empty, and Public Storage refused to credit me any of my money back, even as a common courtesy in light of the circumstances! IF ANYONE HAS ANY INFO ABOUT UNIT L17, please email me at kauaibakery@hotmail.com... Thank you! read more
