Was literally informed by the Kent PD officer that took my report after my unit was broken into that this place has been broken into multiple times and that he would not recommend anyone storing anything of value here. The management was completely rude and unsympathetic about the whole situation. Obviously it happens here frequently so the manager Bill was rather blasé and uncaring about all of our things being taken, but it was just absolutely jarring how rude he was about the whole situation. We were not previously alerted to a break in right next to us, and the management did nothing to increase security after a break in. Take Kent PD's advice on this one and find a storage unit that actually cares about the security of their business. read more

I would have given one star because when I had arrived no one was in the office and had a sign they would return at 2 pm no k ok me showed up there was a lock on my unit I had booked and was told it ready. But everything changed a trainer had come in (pretty flustered with the situation not at me but the staff) But was very helpful and willing to get me taken care of and was able to get me into another unit that she knew was ready and she made me feel very important and welcome I do wish I had remembered her name she went above and beyond for me and that's why I'm giving 5 stars because she made the experience amazing treating me like I was in First class or something Thanks for having amazing staff read more

Worst storage facility ever. We've been storing here for a while and it got pretty bad. I'll start out with the reception guy named Bill (who we've seen many times when we'd come to store things) who is just straight out rude. Besides his manners, After storing with them for a long time, we found out that the door was not operable to begin with. Upon entry while putting things away, everywhere was freezing. It got so bad that it froze our dehumidifiers and when we told Bill about it, he denied that this happened due to door. I mean cmon, common sense, how do you expect deep in that facility that 2 dehumidifiers would FREEZE if the door was closed when it was open the whole day? He didn't want to argue so he said he'll get it fixed soon (the lock on the door was broken as well as the bottom metal part keeping door open). My wife had asked Bill what we should do about the dehumidifiers and He, Bill, said "wait for it to thaw out" like he didn't care. Going back to the door problem, He said he closed the door at night before leaving but thats not what i had a problem with, i was talking about during hours of operation when people would come and go, leaving the door open especially during winter. Everybody's things were freezing while the heavy door is broken! When it was finally time to leave this storage and move things out, the door was still broken, nothing was done about it! It was frustrating and i just had enough of that place. Not worth it. Not worth renting with when they have elements coming through due to a broken door and workers who don't care to fix things PEOPLE ARE PAYING GOOD MONEY FOR. We were paying $100 per month for one of the smaller units! Bad deal!!! Not recommended. read more

Bill the attendant here was very polite and helpful, and because I had reserved two small units before I could properly evaluate the volume of my stuff, I reserved a unit more than I needed, so he made it easy to cancel out and refund me for the single unit. Great customer service! The only reason I didn't give five stars is because many of the online adds are misleading with claims of 24/7 access to your stuff, which it should be since you get a gate code, but they restrict you to their business hours. read more

I feel completely cheated out of my money. I had something horribly unexpected happen causing me to need a storage until ASAP. I decided to call Public Storage for a price quote. They lady on the phone told me that they were having a summer kick off sale and I would have a set/locked in price of $151 per month. I had to ask her several times if they would ever raise my monthly bill and she assured me that I was locked in to that price. I thought I had a great deal so I signed up for the storage unit. Of course there were Move in fees and insurance that I was expected to pay when I showed up that the lady never told me about. So my monthly price went from $151 to now $177 because of the $13 insurance. Okay whatever that's not too bad. But then it went from $177 to $190. And then $190 to $221. And who's to say it won't keep increasing! I decided to call the property manager Bill to ask him why this was happening. He said that he didn't know why the lady told me that my price was locked in because it's obviously not true. There was nothing he could do about it. I was completely lied to. The manager told me I could move all my stuff out before the end of the month but it's so close to Christmas and I don't have the time nor money to do it. I felt stuck. As soon as I am able I will be getting out of there as soon as possible! read more

These people don't care a whit about you, your stuff, or your safety/security. The ONLY thing they care about is taking your money. They "repaired" the gaping holes in the chain link fence with baling wire and a scrap of fence. If you have 5 minutes and a pair of pliers, you'll be back in and "shopping" (stealing other people's stuff) in a jiffy. Don't worry about security, they don't allow anyone through the gate between 9:00 pm and 6:00 am, so you can shop in peace, not bothered by anyone. Cops are locked out too. The WORST!!! read more

As a general rule of thumb most people judge a public storage by three things. 1. The prices 2. The convenience 3. The customer service I ended up needing Public Storage because I had to move. Reggie who you'll generally find around the place on a regular basis tries his hardest to meet his customers needs in a very professional manner, & with a great attitude. I found him to be very knowledgeable at knowing what my storage size needs were. The prices & gate hours for access are reasonable too. I'll definitely be paying my storage bill on time. I'm not trying to have my items end up in an episode of Auction Hunters. Go public storage. read more

absolutely no security! cargo trailer broken into twice in one week. thieves just pick and choose what they want whenever they want. i lost a lifetime of collected hot wheels and matchbox cars. lots of tales from the crypt collectables. there you go again, the have nots have struck again. for a secure location, is what this is called? what a joke for security! please people do not rent here! they do nothing about the break-ins. they do not cooperate with kent police at all. will not allow access to video surveillance footage. not proactively commited to protecting your belongings. very very disappointed in the customer service given by public storage. read more

This location has had a spayed/neutered colony of feral cats on the property for several years now. Volunteers feed, water, and provide shelter for them. The new District Manager, Chenelle is no longer allowing these cats to be fed or have shelter. read more

Pros: Darron was great to work with, professional, knowlegable, and he had me up and runin' in about 15min. Would work with him any day! The unit I reserved online was exactly what I got, for exactly the price advertised. Oh, and the lease is monthly! No hidden 6mo or 1 year lease non-sense when you see the super low price ads. Can't beat that! I got the 5'x10' unit, paid one time $24 admin fee, $11 insurance option, and first month rent was $1.00. So $36 up front, then $61/month after that as advertised. Pretty spankin' cheap for the Seattle metro area! Storage unit was clean, door & lock in good repair. Cons: In the whole facility I saw one light bulb missing. All doors are secure, locks work, the premisis is gated. Inside the building is well lighted. No mice or rats running around, floors clean. No real concerns from this guy, what matters was spot on. Can't beat the deal. Solid review for a solid deal. read more

the pac hiway and 272 facillity is pretty good i would have prefered to stay there but an increase 60 a month the first time and over 100.00 a month for the space i was in was too much to bare. the units on th inside stay clean and are fairly bug free. that's nice when storing clothing and such.the 25x10 will fit most short bed trucks and vehicles and leave plenty of storage space. read more

Quite possibly the worst business I have dealt with in past 50 years. Stored my car in their "secure" lot. After just over a month it was broken into, driver's side window shattered & catalytic converter ripped from engine. Still sorting it out, but thousands of dollars damage. Staff couldn't have cared less. I asked if there were other break-ins, but they said they could not discuss that with me (but I did overhear them on phone with another customer telling them they needed to file a police report). I asked what they could do for me, they referred me to their customer call center. I asked if I could see the security video since local cops won't come unless there is a witness or someone on film, but was told no. I still need to store the vehicle but was unwilling to do so outside on their lot, so I asked if I could rent a 10x20 inside space & transfer the remaining rent I had paid towards the new space. The car was damaged on May 1, same day they charged me for the entire month of May. They said no, I could rent a new space but not transfer the rent payment just made. That was a breaking point & I blew up & started swearing. The guy behind the counter became very aggressive & told me to get off the property or he would call the cops. I cannot rate this business low enough!!!! read more

The facilities were super clean and well maintained, the whole process/agreement was thoroughly explained to me by the manager, Reggie, who was an absolute joy. This was my first time doing any of this, I'm a student in the Seattle area, and the whole process went very smoothly. I rented a unit for a little over a year and never had any issues. Plus it's inexpensive and easy to find. Reggie is a very hardworking man and went above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of and everything was ok with my unit. Bill made completing my reservation for outside vehicle storage very easy. I am a frequent user of Public Storage from across the country to store mt Class B RV. I have used this property on three seperate occasions and have always felt secure. I cannot say that about rhe Salt Lake City facilities however. It is good to have a roof over my vehicle. read more

We were very impressed by both the facility quality and the excellent customer service. Reggie is a wonderful manager and was extremely helpful to us, often taking time out of his day to come down and help us and provide us with tools for moving. The unit itself was clean and spacious, we had no problems with anything during our rental. Reggie was very fair and helped us get some money back for a month that we did not end up using. Often times with a larger company, individual managers fall back on the "its company policy" reasoning for not being able to make exceptions for a client. Reggie, however, did not do this. He treated us like individuals and helped us out for our specific situation. All in all, I will always store with public storage, preferably with Reggie in Kent. Thanks for everything! read more

Horrible service! There was debris from a repair job with splintered wood and rusty nails sticking up where anyone could step on right in the doorway. We brought this to the attention of the manager whose reply was "this isn't a playground" they claimed they charged our card and it was denied BUT bank has no record of that and we called same day to ask them to run it again. They insisted that they had to run it as late payment. Despite them not even running it in the first place. Low and behold the second time they ran it with an extra $50 late charge it went through with no issues. We will be taking our business elsewhere read more

I would have given them 3 star review, since they keep raising the price every 6 months (at least that's what I remember), which makes it very frustrating. However, now they've changed their access hours, effective July 5. BE WARNED! After 6 PM, Monday through Friday, and after *5 PM*, Saturday and Sunday, you will NOT be able to get into your storage unit. This is a major problem! Why am I charged so much money, for decreased access hours? This is very unfair, and I am shocked at the very poor customer service. If your customers are paying over $100 a month for their storage unit, why would you DECREASE their ability to enter their storage unit? read more

After having our motor home broken into for the second time in a year we have moved out. The chain link fence there is breached regularly and there is a homeless camp almost next door in the woods. There is a trail from the frequent fence repair location right to the camp. One can breach the fence repairs with a pair of pliers. The rates are cheap but there is a reason for it.
