The trucker turned out to be a complete liar, which we learned when so much of our stuff was waterlogged. Good thing the movers at our final destination (Washington state) took video of water pouring into the truck in the rain. During the move into our new place I tried to get hold of Bellhop via phone (AI assistant- super annoying, didn't result in a call for 5-6 hours) and text. They completely dropped the ball. By a miracle, our stuff arrived in ok shape, even though the boxes were soaked. I only filed a claim for an expensive linen lampshade, even though we did end up with some scratches on the furniture. Just got back the claim result: they are offering me ONE DOLLAR AND TWENTY CENTS. My annoyance and disgust with this company is very, very high. Awful.

Security. The facility has camera's everywhere. Each storage unit has an alarm and inputting your code at the front gate disables that alarm for your unit. The Alarm is enabled once your code is entered from the inside of the facility. There was one incident where a person was found living in one of the storage units. He gained access to the unit through the back of the storage (which is why the storage alarm wasn't tripped). However, he was caught because as police tried to get him, he tried gaining access to another storage unit to flee fortunately, that storage unit was full and he got trapped. One last comment, there is someone who lives on the facility. 2. The staff is very friendly. As a Service Member in the US Army, I am not new to the storage scene. Living in El Paso, Texas, I was required to have a storage upon receiving orders to deploy to Iraq back in 2009. The storage unit was subpar but I didn't care. I just wanted a cheap storage unit with a location close enough to walk. During my deployment I found out that that particular storage unit didn't receive a payment. Immediately, they starting auctioning my stuff. It's a good thing I had my brother as an emergency contact. This little story brings me to the Arm Guard Self Storage. After I explained to them why I was very particular about getting a storage due to my previous experience, they informed me that auctioning my stuff would be illegal. They were also very informative about informing me that the man who was living in the storage unit near mine tried gaining access to my unit. 3. Autopayment. I love autopayment because I don't have to worry about going to the storage to pay my monthly fee or sending in a check via snail mail. 4. Front gate is self explanatory. The front gate has a access code key pad on the left side that gets you in and diables the alarm. 5. Access hours. The hours to enter the facility are 5:00AM - 11:00PM. The hours ensure that the facility is completely locked down outside access hours. Its another extra security. 6. Lights. Each storage unit has lights. It's really awesome to see what your trying to get. Overall, I would definitely recommend this storage unit. I left for Afghanistan, came back and didn't have any issues.

I just moved here from Alaska I needed to get all of my belongings out of my car. The website was a little bit difficult to understand all of the ins and outs, the sales, how to get a month free, so use the online chat feature. My questions were being answered in seconds. They made it very clear as to what the price structure would look like. On my arrival, I was incredibly pleased with my decision to go with this facility. It is brand new! Everything is bright and shiny, well lit, easy to get in and out of, with a very helpful staff. There was a ( one time) administration fee of $25 to establish my (month to month) contract and I had to purchase a special lock ($20) for the door. Those are the only surprises but both of them made sense. I didn't have a lock with me and I would've needed to buy one anyway. All in all, I'm glad that I wound up here. The shelf is incredibly helpful and went to good lengths to make sure that I understood what I was getting and that it was appropriate for my needs. I spoke to Jason and Steve who is the owner of the company. They ensure me that the quote is accurate and no other tax or fee will be added. They told me not to worry and everything will be straight forward and smooth transaction. Obviously not happening after the crew finish the work. The crew start working at 9am and finish at 12:10am and then call the office for the final charge. The move is from Storage to unload at residential home. I thought it would be easy and smooth transaction. Just labors and truck. Nothing complicate. The branch manager call for the total of 1235$ which combine all fee that is not even in the quote. I believe this is a Shady and scandalous way of doing business. I should believed some other bad review on yelps and Google. At the end they lower the price to 1081$. The calculation that I got from my calculation is 3hours and 10 Mins + 1 hour of travel fee = $950. I didn't use any of packing material. I only use the labors+truck. This actuall pisses me off. I just paid them 1081$ just to get it over with. The only good thing about this transaction is Erick and his crews are very curtious and polite. They work fast. I have another loading coming in from out of state. I think I better use any other company. They promised me of 10% discount. You have to be crazy to use them again. This service and totally experienced is not worth 1081$. Be very careful with this company. You better of finding some other local company. This company is a joke. I thought to…read moregive them a 3 star as they can do a lot better (I will come to that later) but as per Yelp rating guidelines, 2-star means "Could've been better", so 2-star it is. The move was scheduled for 2PM and original estimate was 3 hours, so I had elevators and loading docks reserved for both my apartments from 2PM to 5PM. I waited till 2:30PM and when no one showed up, I felt someone could at least reach out to me with an update. I texted my point of contact after waiting for 40 minutes stating that the elevators could only be blocked for a certain period of time and post 5PM, the move will become slower due to loading dock not being available (see screenshot) I was informed that movers still hadn't finished the previous job - which was understandable if they could reach out to me and tell me that, so I could re-book the loading dock. I requested an estimate arrival time so I could plan my things around it - no answer. Movers showed up at 3:45PM! Yes, almost 2 hours late! When we arrived at the new apartment (which is less than a mile away from my old apartment), exact same situation happened as I expected! The loading dock was occupied by someone else and we had to wait. After talking to lots of management people over the phone and making multiple requests, I was able to reserve the elevator just for us. Moving stuff from the truck to the apartment (with a reserved elevator) took 3 hours!! I was quoted for 4.5 hours when original estimate was 2-3 hours! I paid the entire amount but when I was on phone with the owner, I mentioned if I could provide a feedback and said that I am getting charged for 2 additional hours because movers did not arrive on time and moreover, I had been mentioning this already. I want to emphasize that I paid the amount first after the complain because I want to clarify that my complaint is genuine - not only I had to pay more than $300 extra, I was drained out of energy, ended up leaving some stuff due to hurrying and the whole idea of not doing any work myself did not fall in place. In return, forget an apology, the response was a long pause and "I see. Thank you for business with us." I did tip the movers well because they did their best. It was a management issue where lack of communication and not caring about client's ask are two major disappointments. Not to mention, I later found out that my standing desk wire got torn out in the moving too but at this point, I am not even mad!

I was…read moreincorrectly charged for refueling, and even when I provided documentation that the truck was returned refueled, they still refused to fully correct the bill. I was quoted an estimated total of $43.07 for a local truck rental, but after returning the truck I was charged $93.34. The charge included 24 miles and 2 gallons of gas, despite only driving 22 miles and returning the truck fueled above the full marker. When I presented my drop-off photos and fuel transaction, instead of simply correcting the bill, they offered a partial correction. They refused to remove the 2-gallon fuel charge and acted like they were doing me a favor only partially overcharging me. If you rent here document everything and do not assume that they will correct the bill willingly.

What really impressed me was that we had a couple lamps with loose screws and were wobbly. We didn't mention it to our movers, we figured we'd fix them later. When the lamps arrived at our new home, the lamps were no longer wobbly. I asked our mover, Shane, about it and he said they noticed the lamps needed a quick fix so they tightened some screws for us. They did that without being asked. I know that seems so small, but we've never had a moving company go above and beyond like that. No damage, no scratches on walls, and they finished in less time than I was quoted. We hate moving, but these guys really made this day feel easy and smooth. I strongly recommend everyone to consider hiring this company.
