My experience with this business is a mixed bag--but it's crucial you read this if you're trusting them to store anything valuable: RVs, trailers, boats, equipment, or personal property.
I was a customer here for seven years, up until December 2025. When I first signed on, Secure It Self Storage was rock solid--safe, secure, and professionally run. I moved my work trailer there because my previous location kept raising prices and didn't have space to maneuver. This place had reasonable rates, tons of room, and--most importantly--on-site security patrol. Guards were actively driving and walking the property. It felt locked down.
At first, they didn't even have space, but the staff worked with me and let me temporarily park along the fence until an RV spot opened up. Not long after, I got a permanent space. The staff back then were amazing--friendly, helpful, and gave me 24-hour access. It was convenient, reliable, and honestly a great place to do business.
Then everything changed.
The business was sold to an out-of-state company. Most of the original staff were let go, and the on-site security patrol disappeared. That was the turning point. What used to be a secure facility quickly became the opposite.
Crime started increasing. Customers began losing property. Management installed a second perimeter fence, which looked promising--for about a week. Soon after, the front gate was repeatedly left broken and wide open. At that point, anyone could come and go freely.
And they did.
I personally added extensive security to my trailer: multiple locks, steel cables through the axles, reinforced doors, relocated battery systems--everything I could think of. It didn't matter.
In December, after hearing about numerous thefts, it finally happened to me. My trailer was broken into and cleared out. Decades of tools--hand tools, power tools, specialty equipment, and even some audio gear from my live sound work--gone. Tens of thousands of dollars, wiped out in one night.
What's worse is how it happened: thieves had hours to work. They weren't rushed. They dismantled, sorted, and removed equipment piece by piece. The gate access made it easy. No intervention. No response. No meaningful help afterward.
And no accountability.
On top of that, there's been constant late-night activity--people clearly using units for things that violate every rule in the contract. This is not a controlled or secure environment anymore.
Meanwhile, rates keep increasing while safety continues to decline. Customers are being driven out while security is essentially nonexistent.
This didn't just cost me money--it cost me my livelihood. My general contracting business relied on those tools. Years--decades--of work, gone. This happened right as I was restructuring my businesses and planning new ventures. The timing couldn't have been worse.
And not once did I receive a meaningful apology or support from management.
The emotional toll has been just as real as the financial one. Stress, loss, and the reality of having to rebuild from scratch--it doesn't just go away.
So hear me clearly:
DO NOT trust this company with anything you care about. Not at this location, and not at their other properties.
If there's any value left in this place, it's the few remaining original staff--the ones who actually cared and kept things running as long as they could.
As for the rest? You're better off securing your property yourself.
Lawsuit in coming.
