I signed up for a locker and within 2 months, they were resurfacing the entire complex. No one told me this when I signed up. I could not access my locker for for 3 days which is a huge inconvenience. Did we get a discount? NOPE Now I get an email that my rate is going from $164 to $219 within the span of just a few months. I called ahead of time to check prices and the person on the phone said $99 a month for a 10x10 storage unit. We got the van packed and when we showed up they changed the price to $138. I saw reviews that they up their prices on people these guys tried before I even moved in! There are other places to rent storage from that treat their clients a lot better. read more

Horrible attitude and customer service. I rented a unit online and was calling so i can access it the same day but no one was answering , finally someone answers and they tell me flat out "you are not renting with us we are refusing your service" i was confused and when i asked why they said "because we dont need someone that calls 12 times in a row" i tried to explain why i was calling and was cut off by a "yeah well youre not gonna get one". I wouldnt have called so many times if you had answered. Dont see at all how that correlates but ok. Disgustingly rude and expect new customers is crazy. Stay away from this place at all costs. The ripped off my storage space. It was an inside job. Now that I have finally moved in I can see just how meticulous the theft was. They even had someone else rob the space but that footage does not show all the things that were taken. I am devastated by the loss of things that have been in my family for years. I have used this facility for a long time and my monthly rent has increased more than double I dont even have a light in my unit was initially told that they have cut power to the units due to someone missing using the power so the power was disconnected then when i told them this is a big unit we cant even see anything in our unit since its a very large unit they said we should have a working light - not sure how you can have a working light when they said they cut the power to all the units in our bldg very frustrating we pay alot of money and have been faithful customers it just seems they dont appreciate long time customers there increases are outrageousgeous read more

I reserved a dolly here after they told me they are not authorized to do reservations themselves. They close at 6pm. I called at 5:30, reserved at 5:35, arrived at 5:45 to pick up the dolly. When I arrived the open sign was off, the door was locked, and the closed sign was showing. I could hear whoever was inside, and I knocked, but they would not open the door for me. I called at 5:48, and they did not answer. There's a huge whole at the bottom of the door, so you can hear everything on either side. They sat there and pretended that I was not there. I was nice about it and explained that I reserved a dolly and even apologized for showing up so close to their closing time. At 5:52pm I hear someone leave and a black priest car pulls off while I am standing at the door. 8/10 was the only employee that was there. This really hurt my feelings. I was moving today and kept a positive attitude about everything, but please go somewhere else if you are thinking about coming here. There's tons of UHaul vendors in the area, just choose another one, because this one's garbage. There was also a white Toyota parked next to the office- just trying to hold any employees accountable, because they knew I was there and went out of their way not to give me service. read more

My overall experience w/ Totem Self Storage has been fantastic, & I really do mean fantastic. I was quite surprised at just how much they actually care about your customer satisfaction. These days, when you have to deal w/ big corps & what not, you always remain aware of the fact that you are nothing to them. Just another number, easily forgotten, quickly replaced. But Totem Storage pays attention to you & is always there for you. Have a problem that requires some amount of flexibility or need help with a situation that is unique to you? Expect that they will really bend over backwards in an effort to help you rectify the issue or problem (within reason - & I shouldn't even need to say that, but some people out there are just IGNINT lol.) Now as for the units themselves, Cleanliness - 10/10, Security and Craftmanship - 10/10, Accessibility - 10/10. You will not regret storing your things here. Bait and switch. Advertised a low rate and then charged me way more. Raised the rent 3 times in 2 years on short notice. After raising it, they are advertising cheaper units for new customers, probably so they can pull the same scam. They know that it's a hassle to move back out, so they squeeze you once you're in. read more

I was wondering if anyone knows who the owner is or how I can contact them?I recently rented a storage unit from here. I had some medical problems and got behind on my payment in September I called the manager and she said if I come pay 200 I will be ok. She stated she cut the lock off and looked in and saw an OCC bike she said she would put one of her locks until I got caught up. Got caught up paid 400 dec 31 st and another 200 on Jan 8th cause she said my stuff was safe I got access to my unit. It's a double door unit my lock was on one door and hers on the other. I went in and everything worth value was gone and left me with trash. Now I owe a 100 dollars for this month and a 50 dollar clean up fee.! They don't have video of the break in or the cutting off of my lock. She admitted to cutting it off now she's saying someone picked the lock?? They were both locked when I got there. My wedding dress that was specifically made for me is gone. My husband had his deceased dads army trunk full of 30 years of collecting Legos gone, our sons OCC bike collectors item is gone and now she said she never saw it.paintball guns,32" TV. Another trunk and numerous other irreplaceable things. I asked for video of previous break ins but her computer "crashed" and has no evidence. I would like to talk with the owner and explain what is going on in his business.i called and asked the manager for that information but she won't give it to me. She has an adult son that lives in an RV on the property and other customers have had similar complaints. She said she was gone for a month on vacation and I asked her who all had access to my unit but she refuses to give me that information as well.when she cut my lock I got no phone call ever or notice.so she is responsible for my unit.Im heartbroken and when I called to talk to her about it she said if you are going to take me to court I'm hanging up on you and she did. I want to resolve this with the owner. Not the manager who I think is robbing the unit owners. I have filed a police report, called the BBB I just want to warn people about what's going on before someone else loses their possessions and gets charged for it. Awful customer service. read more
