I just had the most wonderful experience with Prime Pool Services coming in and giving me a second opinion on my pool equipment. It is my first time owning a pool and some professionals from Leslie's had come by and done a crash course with us about our pool. During that time they had indicated that there were some huge problems that they couldn't fix, but told us we needed to call someone to get them fixed. I called Prime (based on recommendations from my neighbors) and they came to do a second eval of my pool. The gentleman who came by was knowledgeable, professional and taught me so much. He knew what he was doing SO WELL that he realized that most of the things that the Leslie's pool supply people told me were wrong. He did a thorough inspection of the filter and found that screws just weren't tight enough and that fixed some perceived leaks that the Leslie's people had indicated - He then confirmed the fact that there was not really a leak by doing a pressure test and showing me how much pressure there was between the skimmer and the pump. Furthermore, he took the time to educate me about each and every component of the filtration system. Thanks to him, we saved ourselves from ripping apart and fixing piping, detecting and repairing a leak in our pool's skimmer AND from doing a full replacement of our filter. We were expecting to have thousands of dollars of repairs and thanks to his diligent assessment, he fixed everything he could just by knowing the system and looking into things a little better than Leslie's did. We will eventually need a bigger filter for our pool (the one thing that Leslie's was right about) but thanks to Prime Pools, a number of our other "issues" were resolved. I would absolutely use them for my pool equipment needs. read more

Canceled service yesterday. Chemicals were always way high, skimmer was always left dirty, spa never looked like they cleaned it. They said they were going to send someone out to re-clean once and send a picture of it cleaner, never happened. For the cost and service, cannot recommend. When emailing to cancel, they didn't even offer to have someone address the issue and just said they were cancelling as I requested. read more

I have been a Prime Pool customer since we purchased our home over 2 years ago. Initially, I went to a local pool store chain excited that I may be able to do this myself only to be given the sarcastic response "I'm sorry" when I said I was a new pool owner. I have not returned. Rather, I conducted a lengthy search for a quality and affordable pool service, which I have found in Prime Pools. They have great customer service, and are nice to me. They also helped us replace our heater and they give me on the spot advice if I need it which makes me feel valued. Not at all very customer oriented I Called for service was told I would get a call back two days latter no call so I called again they said they don't make appointments they just show up they will not accommodate if the customer wants to be there to ensure everything is being done correctly. If the customer is there fine if not they proceed charging $90 for 30min of labor (Hourly rate of $180) which has to be prepaid through credit card. When I ask ok you don't know the time what If I am the first visit and we can pick any day in the future. They said no go because schedules are set up by geographic area. which is BS because you can have a starting point fixed and plan all other visits based on the first service call. They explained to me that this is how their business works and that is why they are less expensive. They said other companies would charge double for appointments. Which is completely false. Their HOURLY RATE OF $180 is not cheap . They are wrong my next two phone calls to other service companies which offered appoint on was $75 service call applied to repair the other was $90. Go else where find a business that treat customers as customers I question the validity of past reviews every single one of them rated with 5 stars. Give me a break. Are these really customers or actually ghost written reviews to give a false impression of what this company is all about also be careful about writing bad reviews within 5min of it be posted I got a harassing phone call from Michael Indicating I called him a liar. I gave a factual representation.. It also calls into question how they actively monitor these reviews it would surprise me they quickly get this review removed and maybe that explains why there are only 5 star reviews. read more

I found Prime Pool Service by phoning around as I was in a pinch. It was the peak of summer last year and my main pool pump had died. We all know what that means. I called my 'regular' pool guys were all unavailable for a couple weeks. Prime Pool Service understood the urgency and had it replaced within a day or two. I couldn't have been more relieved and thankful. Now, Prime Pool Service has answered the call again and fixed me up immediately. My booster pump died and it was barely 2 years old. I was in the midst of a finding-good-pool-person crisis, when I happened to stumble on Donny with Prime Pool service, parked down the street from my house after servicing a neighbor's pool. I chatted with him about my issues and he was glad to offer his best guesses on the spot for free. Since then, I have had him come out to fix moderate things twice (replace backflow valve first time, then fix leaky valve and clean out clogged pump impeller second time). Both times, I have found the service to exceed my expectations. For instance, he took a photo of the pool plumbing near the pump and emailed it to me after adding in an arrow pointing to the exact valve he fixed, just to verify he followed my instructions correctly. That kind of thing is above and beyond what I would expect, yet the prices seem quite fair. read more

We used Prime Pool service for one year. The owner, Mike, works hard in making his customers happy. Unfortunately his employees/ contractors do not. One the period of one year we had about 6 different technicians. Two of them were very good, the rest were very bad. In several occasions we noticed that the tech would sit in his car for over 30 minutes playing with his phone and spend not more than 5 minutes cleaning the pool. Some other times they would forget to do simple tasks like cleaning the waste buckets or adding chlorine tablets to the chlorinator. It was very annoying to have "police" their pool technicians. in one occasion we literally timed the technician and he spent 3.5 minutes where the pool equipment is located and then 28 minutes sitting in his car. Or sometimes we would go to use the pool just to find the Polaris full of debris and the pool buckets full of debris. Mike always tried to help us but it seems he has a hard time finding responsible workers. And the couple of techs that were GREAT unfortunately were moved to different routes. I guess we must be in a training area or something. I would not recommend this company unless you do not mind paying $200 a month for a pool guy that might or might not clean your pool. read more

The team members at Prime Poll Service have consistently gone above and beyond in their effort to keep our pool clean and sparkling week in and week out. I have been using Prime Pool Service for about 6 months. While there have been a couple of issues with the pool during that time, that is common for our pool and Mike has been very good about working with us to resolve those issues. The company is very responsive, has come after hours and multiple times a week when necessary, and has really taken the time to get to know our pool's special needs. The prices are reasonable and they do not use more chemicals than necessary. I also like that they have automatic billing, a useful website where you can see all your visit and treatment information, and communicate via email. read more

Had them look at my pool and they DEMANDED to know our gate code which we do not give out to anybody. Then he said they would show up at the gate and if the gate was not open they would leave and charge to do nothing, asked them to call on the way or from the gate and the nasty response was that they don't do that, they have 200 customers and will NOT do ANYTHING special for anybody. read more

I wish I had read Johnny's review before I called Prime Pool. I recently bought a house in Lakeway that had a pool. I got the number of Prime Pool from an advertisement, told them that I lived in Dallas, but needed the pool serviced. They did a service call and called me to say that my pool water was in bad shape, would need to be completely drained, the plaster would need to be powerwashed, and the pool would need to be refilled with balanced chemicals. I gave them permission to complete the service for a fee of a little under $400.00 and my credit card number. Stupid me!When no one called me to tell me how the service went, I called them, and they said that everything was fine and that they didn't need to powerwash afterall. When I got to Lakeway that weekend, there was a note on the back door that said, "Two hoses are refilling the pool, please turn off before you go to bed." This had been left on the door on Wednesday! My new neighbors told me what had happened that week. They said that Prime Pool drained a couple of inches of green water off of the pool and into my garage. Then, put in the water hoses and left. When my green pool began to overflow, my neighbors panicked and called the former pool company, who came out and shut off the water. Aqua Blue Pool then had to drain the pool back down to a normal level, but not into my garage this time, shock the pool because it was green and balance the chemicals. I called and complained to Prime Pool. Mike called me back, apologized for the miscommunication, but then was rude when I was still not happy about the deception of services rendered, the eyewitnessed draining of some of the pool into the garage, and the flooding of the property around the pool. I told him that I was not going to pay for services not rendered and would not be using his company again. He rudely said that was fine and would be no charge, then billed me anyway. My property could have been destroyed if my neighbors and Aqua Blue had not come to the rescue. read more
