HARD PASS. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL! Moved to a new house and shopping for pool service. Submitted an online request on their website Wednesday around 9 AM. Out of the 5 companies I submitted a request to, they were the 2nd ones I reached out to but the last ones to reach out back to me (excluding the auto-generated "thank you" text which the other pool companies sent as well). Lisa from the office called me Wednesday at 5:38 PM and said she could have a tech come out the next day to give me a quote. Jose came out Thursday around noon. He was super nice and professional. He said he would get me 3 different quotes for the 3 type of packages they offer by the end of the day or the next day (Friday) in the morning at the latest. By Friday at 4:25 PM, I had yet to receive anything so I called and spoke to Lisa and she said they'll send it over shortly. They sent 2 quotes (not 3) at 4:40 PM. Monday morning at 10 AM, I called to discuss the quotes for further clarification, especially since the links weren't working. Lisa said she's going to call Jose and call me right back. She never did. Tuesday morning at 8:28 AM, almost a week after I had initially reached out, I called saying they never called me back and asked to speak to a manager. She put me on the phone with Jose and he was a totally different person than the guy that came out to the house. He kept interrupting me and talking over me. He was rude saying I didn't know anything about pools (that might be true but this is not my first house with a pool and that's not something you'd say to a prospective client), and making excuses for their lack of responsiveness. If they're this bad when they're trying to earn my business, I can't imagine how bad they are once they do earn it. Reading some of their other reviews, I should've just never reached out to begin with. TLDR: Unresponsive, unprofessional/rude, overpromise/underdeliver. Ended up going with a different pool company that responded right away and was able to get me on the schedule immediately. read more

STAY AWAY!!!! If you want incompetent workers, who leave trash on property, men who do NOT communicate things at all, dump unwanted sand all over your grass to smother the grass, ring the doorbell incessantly, look no further. They were tasked with emptying our pool's sand filtration system, and as per the line items on the agreement it SAYS 'remove sand and haul off property." So what did these guys do? They DUMPED the entire sand contents onto our grass property next to the pool house. I was livid. We were not informed they'd be doing this (nor did we want random sand spread ALL over our lawn!?), and then they just left like we wouldn't notice mounds of sand?! It wasnt even dumped in one spot, it was SPREAD all over our property like someone was building a sand pit. They left trash next to our pool and around our pool house area (zip ties, cut tubing, screws). I have a 1 year old who eats everything so as a mother, this is obviously insane someone would leave choking hazards around. Not to mention leaving trash in general is unbelievable unprofessional. It was packaging for the pool lights. Oh boy lets talk about that! They installed new pool lights, tested it extensively while here, only for my husband and I to try them out and realize 1 of them flickered like crazy and flat out stopped working. What on earth was this guy testing all that time during the day!? One guy came to do all the chemicals in the pool after fully draining it to pressure wash the pool, he didn't even have a vacuum to remove all the dang sand. He CLAIMS he was informed of it too late and he was already on his way. Don't care, unprofessional, yet again. You mess something up, you fix it immediately. Any respectable company would do this. It's been a week and they said they'd be back to vacuum up the sand on monday. Come Monday, did anyone show up? NOPE. Not even a phone call saying they cannot make it. I'm so pissed Ace Hardware has the audacity to display these guys' business on their front doors, btw. The Ace in Georgetown. Laziest worst communicating business I've ever encountered. These guys are the absolute WORST bothersome stressful group of men I've ever seen run a 'business'. I've lost sleep over how awful these guys are. UPDATE: they came today to "clean up the sand", check the photos. Plenty of sand still present. They clearly didn't vacuum it like promised. I saw the beardy employee just sweep it around looks like he used dirt and leaves to spread it around on top of the sand still present. This isn't even fine sand, it's incredibly thick! HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! Round Rock Pools started our remodel in January and "Finished" 8 months later. The quality was subpar to just BAD! The first stage was to resurface and tile, that was fine, we got what we paid for. We did have to call them out 3 times to fix chipped tiles, that if the foreman was there he would have handled, but he only showed up when called. They also built a waterfall, that had to be completely torn down and built to spec of the original agreement. But the coping was damaged, scratched, chipped, and overall low quality. It has the disc marks from the cutting so grooved into the coping it looks horrible. They never suggested a way to fix it, they kept asking me how to fix it. They tried sanding it down to little to no success. The fact that they tried to "fix it" instead of replacing it was just unprofessional. We finally asked them to replace the damaged coping, 12 out of 28. The manager showed up at our house, very aggressive, threatening to take us to court and put a lien on our house. His ethics as a business owner are just horrible! All parties involved agreed the coping was damaged, but they refused to fix it. We are currently taking legal actions to get a refund on the coping. Worst experience with a contractor ever! If I could give a negative star, I would! AVOID AT ALL COST! read more

Hired them to do a pool remodel and had a similar experience as others. The crew left trash all over. They were supposed to resurface the decking, but failed to mention that it would not cover the white broken plastic expansion joints. Replaced the tiles and now the mortar if falling out. The surface is also discolored and appears to be pitted. Just had all this done 2 years ago. I came here to see what reviews they had and to look up my warranty. They only offer a 1 year warranty. Wish I would have gone with a different company. My last plaster job lasted 20 years. This is the absolutely worst! read more

As so many other Texans suffered from the effects of the recent very hard freeze, we had damage to our exterior pool plumbing. I called Anthony and Sylvan who installed our pool and they didn't have the courtesy to even call back. I had exactly the same experience with Hines Pools. Trust me, I won't be calling either of them for anything going forward. I realize that many businesses were themselves effected by the freeze as well but when I called Round Rock Pool Pros, I immediately got an answer and a gent named Joe, I believe, was very helpful. He put me on their repair list, Tracie got a technician out the next week after the thaw to do an evaluation. Within a week thereafter they had parts and Graham came by and completed the repair. Their website and text process made paying the deposits very easy and they provided receipts immediately. It is local businesses like RR Pool Pros who really seem to care about new customers as well as existing ones. I will definitely call them again. Keep up the great job! read more

Round Rock pools was contracted to remodel our pool in 2022. We were told it would take 3 weeks. It took over 6 months with multiple problems. We have a Pentair in-floor cleaning system with pop up heads. Prior to the remodel, these heads had never popped out over the 19 years. Round Rock pools replaced all the pop up heads as an extra charge. Multiple times after these pop up heads were replaced they popped out because they were not properly installed. Recently a head popped out again and Justin refused to to reinstall it under warranty. BUYER BEWARE. He will not stand behind his work. Following a leak we discovered, we have the project to re plumb our in-ground pool. We asked Round Rock Pool Pros if they are capable of. Someone came to our house, and they sent us a first estimate for the whole re plumbing. They clearly told us the quote is just an estimation as we do not know where pipes go underground. So we dug to the pipes, and we re called Rock Pool Pro for a more detailed estimate. Someone came back to our house, and they sent us a new quote a few days after. Following the quote, we sent an email with some questions on the quote, and a picture of the pipes. Round Rock Pool Pro refused the project by seeing the pipes on the picture, telling us they cannot help with that. I called several times to understand why they sent us the estimate, and refused the project then. I could not have any details. We waisted so much time with them. Very disappointed read more

Attention to detail was desperately lacking during our pool build. Unprofessional, and failed to uphold the full terms of our contract with them. We informed the owner that there was zero chlorine in our pool even though they were responsible for the maintenance and chemicals. His response was rude and began by congratulating us on learning how to test water like we were some kind of idiots and responded by refusing service to uphold our contractual agreement. Then tried to offer less service than was agreed upon in our contract even though we had emails from their business stating otherwise. The plaster on our 30 year old pool failed and the pool turned "pond-scum-green." We decided to go with Round Rock Pools on the recommendation of our pool service guy. They were incredibly awesome. We replaced everything - the plaster, the coping, the tile in the pool, the tile on side of the spa, and all of the equipment. We also had them install a chlorine-free pool sanitation system from Eco-Smarte. They did excellent work. Justin, the owner, was available on the front-end of the process to ensure that we made smart selections. Lisa, in the office, acted as the overall program manager. She was extremely responsive and professional. Josh was the main point person (with Shawn - not sure of the spelling - who did the electrical aspects of the new equipment). They actually finally fired the guy for poor performance and briefly got better, but should have been offered a partial refund for the year he was cleaning the pool. Had a great experience with getting my pool resurfaced and renovated from Round Rock Pool Pros. I have not seen such a dedication and customer focus from other pool company before. Because of Texas Freeze, all the pool companies schedules got crazier. I requested quotes from several other companies with great reviews, they would show up take measurements but dint revert back at all with neither estimates nor a schedule. We have been fighting water leaks in our pool for the last 3 years. It seems our waterfall feature was too heavy for the wall below to support. After finding that the leaks were all below this feature, we chose RRPP to do the repairs and, so far, I'm glad we did. The waterfall has been demolished and is being replaced by a tanning ledge, as a means of sealing and reinforcing the damaged wall. RRPP has done everything possible to accommodate our design ideas. Though they are only halfway through the project, it's easy to see they have the people, knowledge and experience to see it through. I look forward to placing another 5 stars on the review after completion. I would highly recommend Round Rock Pool Pros to anyone doing renovations and repairs to their pool. read more

Justin is awesome. His pool people that service your pool are not. They are low skilled, disinterested and do poor work. If you call Justin he will do everything in his power to solve the issue. Probably yells at his people. And then a few months later you are back facing the same problems again. It is tough to hire and retain people in Austin but when you are paying $50 per week for a service you should be able to get someone to spend 15 minutes per week and not screw things up. read more

I have used them for a couple of years. I always had the complaint that they are poor at communicating. Case in point= they installed a blower for my spa a year ago and did a great job. Then I had a concern about damage to it as it was installed on a tall pvc pipe, they supposedly sent people out to check and never communicated to me. I had to call and then they told me it was fine. With the ice storm, we sustained damage to our pool equipment, as did many others. It took a week for them to come out and then many more days before an estimate was sent. I was not told when i paid them nearly 1k that the parts would need to be ordered and it would be nearly a month before they would fix it. I had to repeatedly call to find this out. When they finally were coming- they never let me know. I had to call. Then the tech sent a text he would be there in 50 minutes= an hour and 15 later he showed up. He never came to the door to let us know. When I spoke to the tech, he was rude and acted as if talking to us was an inconvenience. He fixed 4 out of 5 of the issues, 'discovered' 2 more. He did not fix the last one and when we asked if he was coming back in the morning (this was at 4:15 pm) he said "I don't know. I go where they send me". No one came in the morning. I called with the above complaint. They said another tech was assigned. The owner was told about my complaint and he and the tech showed up around 10 and fixed it in 30 minutes. I will not be using them again. I let them know all the above. They apologized, which is fine, but they need to overhaul their communications. If you use them, just realize you will have to force communication as they won't.. read more

Our pump died over the weekend and the pool started going green before I could find a pool company to come over. Thankfully once I found Round Rock Pool Pros the owner, Justin, got me a quote same day and an appointment for the next day to get a new pump installed. Shaun came out and did a fantastic job.
