HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! Round Rock Pools started our remodel in January and "Finished" 8 months later. The quality was subpar to just BAD! The first stage was to resurface and tile, that was fine, we got what we paid for. We did have to call them out 3 times to fix chipped tiles, that if the foreman was there he would have handled, but he only showed up when called. They also built a waterfall, that had to be completely torn down and built to spec of the original agreement. But the coping was damaged, scratched, chipped, and overall low quality. It has the disc marks from the cutting so grooved into the coping it looks horrible. They never suggested a way to fix it, they kept asking me how to fix it. They tried sanding it down to little to no success. The fact that they tried to "fix it" instead of replacing it was just unprofessional. We finally asked them to replace the damaged coping, 12 out of 28. The manager showed up at our house, very aggressive, threatening to take us to court and put a lien on our house. His ethics as a business owner are just horrible! All parties involved agreed the coping was damaged, but they refused to fix it. We are currently taking legal actions to get a refund on the coping. Worst experience with a contractor ever! If I could give a negative star, I would! AVOID AT ALL COST!

Spa, tanning shelf, pool... just perfection!

Round Rock Pool did an amazing job from start to finish and in record time! Rafael was great to work with. He was patient and artistic with the design, helpful in getting everything we needed for the HOA and always onsite making sure everything went smoothly. Wes was very knowledgeable during pool school. The entire team was a delight to work with and made a normally stressful project fun and exciting. Our neighbors were blown away on how fast the whole process was from start to finish that 2 soon to be 3 additional neighbors had pools designed and installed by Round Rock pool.

After using them for months on their great pool service, we hired them to swap out the broken heater. The spa was up and running within 3 days of the quote request! Shaun, as usual did a great job. Next is saving the money to have them swap out the old control system with a smart system! Thanks round rock pool pros.

We're very happy with our new pool! They've helped us transform our backyard. We're now truly in the Staycation game!

I'm kind of baffled by all the positive reviews for this company. We have had consistent problems…read morewith Patriot since not long after we started using them in 2022. The weekly pool service is generally fine, but if anything goes even remotely wrong (which it will because they're scaling rapidly and training new folks), Patriot is nowhere to be found. In the time we've been using them, they've incorrectly cleaned our filter twice, stained our white pool tiles, and caused our skimmer to operate incorrectly. It has been pulling teeth to get them to return to fix it - many calls over many weeks, and at present, our skimmer and pool tile are still not resolved. In the case of the skimmer, our pool has an in-ground cleaning system and generally stays crystal clear throughout the spring months. Twice now, Patriot has come to clean the filter, and the skimmer has stopped operating immediately after. The first time, a tech returned a week or so later and told us their filter crew had forgotten to switch something to do with the skimmer back on (it was immediately fixed once he corrected it). This time, it stopped operating correctly immediately after the filter-cleaning again (same timing, same issue) and Patriot (after failing to return our calls, then sending people who weren't trained to investigate or resolve the issue three separate times) is telling us there's nothing wrong. This has been going on for well over a month at this point, and apparently we're going to need to pay someone else to come out and fix it. In the case of the pool tile (see pics below) Patriot acknowledged fault for the issue, and tried a number of tactics to resolve it, none of which worked. So it seems we're stuck with the stains. There are lots of pool companies in Austin. I'd recommend you go with a company that stands behind their work and fixes their mistakes.

Freedom Pools - Pool Cleaning Review (1/5)…read more I had my pool fully renovated in April 2024, investing over $23,000 in repairs. Following the renovation, I continued using the new brand "Freedom Pools," as Sandy was a part owner involved in my renovation project. I trusted the continuity would ensure quality -- I was wrong. Over the past two years, I've had to spend an additional $2,400+ in repairs from outside pool service representatives just to correct issues that Freedom Pools should have handled. There were stretches where my pool received no service for weeks at a time, leaving me to deal with problems that only compounded. I had surfaced the issues showing employees not coming for weeks at at time, while I still paid for service. To Sandy's credit, when I raised concerns and he finally responded, he acted to get service restored. I'll admit, I wrongfully held on, hoping he would make things right long-term. I continued making the wrong decision by maintaining my loyalty to Sandy and his team, giving them chance after chance. But here's the core problem: his team shows up for 8-10 minutes per visit - verified by cameras. That is simply not enough time to properly service and maintain a large and deep pool, especially one with a $23,000 renovation investment behind it. The work being done in those brief visits is surface-level at best. Getting leaves out and adding chemicals. Occasionally back-washing but not vacuuming or determining root cause issues. Today was the final straw after the fourth need to externally source and pay an external pool provider -- yet another event requiring an ad hoc service call, and yet another exorbitant charge ($800) from a repair service to fix what should have been caught and handled during routine maintenance. Looking back, I could have paid the right person a higher rate from the start and avoided all of this -- the headaches, the repeat repairs, and the thousands of dollars wasted trying to save a few bucks. Lesson learned. Bottom line: If you have a pool, don't cut corners on maintenance. Freedom Pools may seem affordable, but the lack of thorough service will cost you far more in the long run.

We signed our…read morecontract in Feb 2022 and excavation took 3 months to start because he kept failing to get the permit submitted with the city. I finally had to call the city myself and they said they had not received any paperwork from Pond Springs. After I mentioned this to Neal, it was done within a week. Excavation began in April and our pool was filled in August (this is the only reason for 2 stars, it was fairly quick to fill date). However, since August 2022, we have had numerous items never get completed, including our fire feature which has not worked EVER, and several other items that are holding up our final inspection and our HOA deposit. Two other items on our contract have not been done at all, and we have basically given up on those. We have been very gracious and patient but at this point I will have to get an attorney to get him to finish the job so we can get through final inspection. Neal has been unresponsive to us unless I call from one of my office phone numbers that he doesn't know. He's completely ghosted us otherwise. I've never had to chase someone so much to get a job done, it's ridiculous. Wish we would have just gone with Denali. Look up other pool companies he has owned/managed and AVOID!!!

I glossed over the early red flag of Neal's very slow or lack of responses thinking it would change once we started our project... it didn't. Things started fine after we waited for him to secure the city permit to build the pool project... things started ok but ended taking of 5+ months longer than Neal quoted. Neal had every excuse when he would respond. It was always someone else's fault... What made things go from bad to horrible is that at the end of the project Neal Puckett suddenly changed his tune when he wanted final payment that we didn't need a permit to build our pool or support walls. He flat out LIED and built our pool / project without a permit... after saying in writing that he did have what was required to start the project. While he's said he'll get the permits completed it's now been 7 months with no progress and as usual a complete lack of response. If his quote seems less than other contractors it's likely because he's cutting corners. Buyer beware.
