Quick and easy. Reasonable quotes. They replaced my failed Paramont UV2 sanitizer with a Pentair IC40+ salt water generator

American Spa and Pool - Pentair Warranty Service Dale from American Spa and Pool is fantastic. My wife and I always have a great experience whenever he handles our Pentair warranty service. He's friendly, professional, and gets straight to work. His knowledge of Pentair products is outstanding, and he consistently diagnoses issues correctly the first time. I appreciate that he explains the problem, answers my questions, and doesn't mind me watching him work. He kept me informed throughout the entire repair process, which gave me total confidence in the service. American Spa and Pool continue to deliver excellent support, and Dale is a big reason why I highly recommend them. read more

Great job and very professional. They used the correct parts and had the job done very quickly. Will use again.

They were sent on a warranty call to fix our ht tub heater. Unfortunately they didn't fix it. It had the same behavior immediately after they left. Since then we've had interactions with them and they are rude. I'd advise you to find another company... ANY other company. read more

Very professional and efficient start to finish. Needed a very old pool pump replaced with a new variable speed pump. They gave a written quote, including reasonable charges for everything and got it done quickly and it works with my existing controller. read more

I would like to thank American Spa and Pool, especially our weekly pool tech Seth Garrison for taking such great care of our pool! The communication is great and I am never left wondering what was serviced in my pool and how much it costs. Seth has been very professional and welcoming to all our questions that come up. He is responsive and has even helped me problem solve over a holiday weekend by troubleshooting over a phone call. Overall, very pleased with with A.S.A.P! read more

Cullen did a great job cleaning our pool filter today. Our neighborhood has low water pressure so he took the four filters to a car wash to pressure wash them. Went out of his way. He arrived with a mask and wore it the entire time. I appreciated that. Would highly recommend their pool services. read more

I had a warranty claim for my pool sweep and the manufacture is partnered with A.S.A.P. To perform repairs. Cullen was here, diagnosed the issue immediately and got everything working as expected. He was professional, courteous, and in/out quickly. From a service perspective, the experience was great. Thanks Cullen!! read more

American Spa and Pool has been my one and only choice for pool maintenance and repairs for over 10 years. They are are prompt to respond to any request or question I may have; they show up to complete a service when they say they will, and in the rare occasion when plans need to change they have been very flexible and accommodating to my schedule. Their technicians are extremely knowledgeable and their office staff is a pleasure to work with. Thank you to the entire ASAP team, specially Drew, Sabrina, Cullen, Armani, and Jonathan (who recently completed my latest pool filter cleaning). read more

We used this company to service a warranty on our pentair equipment and were really happy with how prompt and helpful they were with that. We liked them so much we really wanted to take them on as our regular pool service for weekly cleanings BUT they are much more expensive than most companies, a good $70+ more per month. Our current pool company does a good job so we'll be staying with them for now but we will continue to use this company as needed for repairs and warranty on our equipment. read more

I've called them a couple of times for issues that my long-term pool maintenance service couldn't handle, and they were really excellent. Even when they weren't able to do the job (leak detection), they were very helpful in suggesting another firm. read more

American Spa and Pool has been helping me for years. Highly recommended. They do good work and are very conscientious.

Thomas and the team at American Spa and pool worked tirelessly to ensure my hot tub was installed correctly and in a timely manner. They were professional and cared for the home as if it was their own. My job presented some unique challenges that they could have taken shortcuts on. They informed me of the issues and proceeded with the highest quality standards possible. I would highly recommend this company to anyone seeking hot tub or pool installation in the Central Texas area. This family owned and operated business is what you expect when you open your wallet. Signed, Very Satisfied Customer Update 1.5.18 : Removing 2 stars because I had a bad issue with them servicing the hot tub 1 year later. They came to look at a damaged jet...took it and I haven't seen the parts since. When I called to inquire about the jet the took I was told they lost it and had no intention of performing the service or replacing the part, but they could refer me to someone who could help... I highly recommend contacting Thomas if you're in need of pool services. We recently purchased a new home and needed the pool cleaned and a few repairs done to get it running after months of no maintenance. Thomas answered when I called, promptly scheduled an appointment for the same week, and showed up on time to help us out. He was honest about exactly what needed to be done and the cost of parts/repairs/time. Thomas did what he could on his first visit and then came back the next day to finish cleaning and do the final repairs. His price was below what others are (over)charging and his customer service, communication, and maintenance skills are above the others. We couldn't have asked for a better experience! Thanks to Thomas we've been happily enjoying our pool every day! read more

I enjoy working on my pool so don't call a specialist often. When I do, it's Thomas Long with American Spa and Pool. He's honest, accommodating and knows his business. That's a whole lot to appreciate about that. This company gets my highest recommendation. He earned it! read more

Seth came to my house to do warranty work on my spa--turns out what was on his warranty wasn't covered so he went above and beyond by contacting Jandy to pay for the part we needed which fixed our issue with the hot tub. I had to move and used this company while my house was vacant and I was selling it. Very reasonable weekly cleaning including chemicals and they sent pictures each week after they cleaned the pool. It was a nice service since I moved out of town and this was very transparent and reliable. I would recommend them. read more

Wow. The difference is customer service. I've had three separate pool companies and believe what you read. Thomas and his team do it right and they respond to everything when a sudden issue occurs. I work a lot and they provide me with email reports and pictures of the pool complete with logs and notes. I've used him for over a year now and I'm extremely happy. Highly reccomend read more

For reasons I didn't understand initially, our pool water turned dark green. Dark. Green. Nothing I bought and dumped in so much as made is less dark green. Not knowing any pool people, I searched and read these reviews. So after a voice mail or two and a phone conversation, Thomas told me he'd be out to look things over and I didn't need to be home. Perfect. A couple of days later, Thomas looked at the pool and explained how he'd like to tackle this problem, which all made sense. After I told him to go ahead, we only ever exchanged emails and phone calls for the next week. What he found were issues with my sand filter system (which I kind of suspected from the day we moved into the house) and he recommended replacing it with a DE filter and an in-line chlorinator. Plus some serious water treatment to clear things up. I braced for impact about the price, but was really happy to know the whole thing, soup to nuts, would only cost about $1,700. Including labor. It seemed strange, but not long after my request, I received a quote in my email and I told him to go ahead. Four days later, he completed the installation and removed my old system. A few days afterwards, his work paid off and my pool went from a hole in my yard containing disgusting nastiness to a pristine, crystal clear pool. Total. Transformation. Children swam in it two days afterwards. The only time we met in-person was a Friday evening at about 6:00 when I got home from work, and Thomas arrived to check on things and give me the once-over on the new system. Here's the best part: He proved himself to be absolutely trustworthy. Thomas did all of this work without asking for a dime up front. I was never in a position to have to cut a check, then hope he delivered. It was only after he took on all the expense and risk himself -- then actually made everything awesome -- did he ask for payment. That, my friends, is rare indeed. read more

I have used a lot of pool maintenance companies over time and Thomas and his crew are the absolute best. Reliable, honest and trustworthy. They take keeping your pool safe and clean very serious and you will never regret calling to get started. read more

Thomas from ASAP helped get our poor pool back up and going. We had an issue with one of our pumps, and with some diligent work from Thomas and one of his workers they were able to get it back up and going. They only charged me for a fraction of the hours they used to fix the pump, and it's been running great since. They are now our full-time pool folks for our chemicals too, and the pool has been sparkling blue since they took over (and we're saving a ton over buying all the things Leslie's was recommending). Thumbs up from us! read more

I generally maintain my own pool, and everything works out fine, but when I've got problems with the equipment or plumbing, I need a specialist. Finding Thomas was like finding a good auto mechanic. He tells me what I HAVE to do, what I probably should do, and what I can get by without doing at all. His prices have also been reasonable for the work he puts in. He's honest. He's even gone out of his way to make sure I'm setup. Highly recommended. read more

Great experience. We've tried a lot of different pool repair companies, and this is by far the best. Not only was the owner very helpful about a valve replacement we needed, but he showed my husband how to do it, and gave him the option of doing it himself. He additionally provided some useful information that will help us get ready to use the pool next spring. Very impressive all the way around. They will be our "go to" for any pool issues. read more

Thanks Yelp friends for helping me to find Thomas and ASAP! After talking with Thomas by phone and meeting with him to discuss repairs, I knew that your reviews were spot-on. Thomas is fair, conscientious, and thorough, offering common sense solutions instead of expensive replacements. I plan to recommend him to all of my neighbors. My only regret is that I didn't call ASAP sooner! read more

I was having problems with my pool pump so called Thomas. He got right back to me, I told him where I lived and he gave me an exact breakdown of my pool setup (without having ever seen it). That blew me away. Even better, he outlined a solution that didn't require changing my pool pump. Due to his expertise I didn't actually require his on-site service but I can guarantee he's my go-to guy for any pool related needs. Definitely recommend. read more

I can't say enough good things about Thomas and Sabrina Long at ASAP. They are easy to work with, fair, affordably priced and reliable. What more can you ask for in any business, much less a pool company, which tends to be dominated by fly-by-night, less than reliable companies. Thomas is great about telling what your pool needs and what you can do without going overboard. I highly recommend them. read more

So this company no showed me twice and left me hanging when they said they would take care of me. They are understaffed and do not follow through with what they say they are going to do. Not sure how they got such a high rating, but I did have a very bad experience in dealing with them. Thomas failed me again. read more

I had used ASAP on a couple of other occasions for various maintenance over the years. Recently, I needed to get my hot tub worked on - new light and the heater was malfunctioning. They sent someone to look at it and quoted me almost $1100. They also billed me over $200 for the diagnostic. I called to schedule the work and asked if the diagnostic fee would be rolled into the work order, which it was not. I canceled the job and called another pool company. They came out, diagnosed the issue at no charge, fixed the hot tub heater at no charge (they said the ASAP diagnostic was wrong and there was just a simple issue he fixed for no charge), and he replaced the entire light system for $400. So by them inflating the cost on the quote, misdiagnosing the issue, then not rolling the diagnostic fee into the work which caused me to cancel the job, I saved $500 even after paying their inflated diagnostic fee. I strongly recommend checking other Austin/Bee Cave pool companies. They will do the same work at a fraction of the cost, and they will not gouge you on diagnostic fees. read more

We recently purchased a house whose owners used American Spa and Pool and said they did great work. They were great in terms of showing and up cleaning the pool. However, after they identified a needed repair, the level of service and quality of the fix went downhill. After the repair our pool would no longer turn off. For 5 days, repeated calls were not answered and messages were not returned. They finally returned the call and came out to do fix their repair. They were rude when making the fix. After leaving, our spa is no longer working. Great at the simple stuff. Terrible if you need to get in contact with them or if they need to do anything more than a simple cleaning. Their response to us cancelling, "Was it because we do not pick up or return phone calls?" read more

AS&P installed a new spa and pool heater at my home. Could not be happier. Super responsive, accommodating and friendly. They definitely know their stuff. My pool pump worn out after 13 years of service. I want to replace it with a variable speed pump for energy saving. I called several pool repair/maintenance shops to ask questions and quotes. Thomas was very responsive, he dropped by the next day, checked out my existing system. He then called several times to explain to me in details how to make variable speed pump works with my old control system. When I found an online store that sells variable speed pump at a good price, he told me to get it from the online store instead of him since his price can't beat the online store. So I bought one from the online store, and Thomas helped me swapped out the old pump. He helped me programmed the pump, and it is running great using a fraction of energy than the old one. I highly recommend Thomas. He is very professional, on time, and charges a fair price. read more

I have used American Spa and pool since 2015 and had good experience with them and wrote them a 5 star review on yelp as well. I had to revise my review to remove 4 stars due to a very unpleasant experience. My pool lost prime (while everything else is working properly including my pool pump) and I called A.S.A.P as usual and they came out and said my check valve is bad and is the cause of my problem, they replaced the check valve but the next day, it lost prime again. I called them back and they came out and said some part within my pump needs replacing and it will cost around $300, I approved the repair as well. Upon taking apart my pool pump, they said pool pump is beyond repair and they can't even put it back together and I must purchase a new pump, I again agreed to their diagnostic and proceed with a new pump replacement. A few days after they replaced the pump, my pool continues to lose prime and owner Thomas came to check out my pump a couple of times and said he couldn't figure out what the issue might be. The 3rd time, they said another check valve (behind my pump) is bad and should be replaced and after they replaced this check valve, the original issue finally resolved. I received an invoice from them for all the check valves replacement (parts and labor) along with a few trip charges and pool pump replacement (parts and labor). Even tho I felt like I was being overcharged for a new pool pump and another set of check valve (I have had good experience with Thomas in the past, and thought the issue was due to mis-diagnostic), I reached out to American Spa And Pool and ask them to remove all labor charges and trip charges, and keeps the final check valve charges along with all the parts they use (including the pool pumps), I thought my offer is more than fair, but they refused to remove all of the labor/trip charges. After a few back and forth, it was only $95 (a trip charge) different between our dispute and I think I should stand my ground as I am paying $1500 worth of unnecessary repair (not to mention my new pump although fixed the issue of lossing prime.. it is also defective as it turn on and off randomly throughout the day and can't even be controlled via my control panel). Thomas called me today asking for the payment and I told him that as soon as they remove that $95 from the invoice, I will make payment in full the very same day as I have said I would do since receiving the invoice. He started yelling at me over the phone calling me names and said how bad 2020 is for him. I told him, I have been more than fair to him and his wife and has been consistent about paying him. I finally received the adjusted invoice $1435.44 and as promised, I made the payment within 2hours. Frankly.. I wasn't planning to revise my yelp review as I value the small local business. After the call with owner - Thomas and being called all kind of names... I'm not so sure. Very disappointing! read more

I was having a problem with my Polaris and called American Spa and Pool to come out. I was thinking it was time to replace the whole darn thing and I was very pleasantly surprised when Thomas fixed my problem and told me my Polaris would last several more years. While he was there he inspected my filter and salt system at no extra charge. When I got my bill I asked, "Are you charging me enough?" I was shocked the bill was so little. Thomas laughed and said he was building clients for the future and when the problem was an easy fix he didn't believe in charging a lot of money. You can bet when my Polaris or salt system really does go out I will be calling him in the future. So wonderful to meet honest people who are good at what they do!!! read more
