Started of fine. Charged a bit more than other cleaners. Service started to go way down hill! Their idea of cleaning a pool is throw shock in it so you can't swim for 2 days ! Then when water is cleared up you see the alge the "cleaning" didn't get!! Simple filter cleaning turned stupid! Guy left out ALL the filters to dry rot out and now I have to buy all new ones! Prime was contracted by Pentair to do warranty work on three LED lights that had become defective. Communication with the office and the technician Graham was extremely easy and straight forward. Graham came by and on the same visit replaced all three lights which is a tedious job. It requires fishing the new lights through underground conduits from the old light cables. It also required him jumping in the water which was quite cold (65'ish degrees). I was surprised at how fast they were and that they could knock it out in a single visit. He cleaned up all his work as if nobody was ever there and he followed up via email afterwards. I'm definitely bringing my future pool repair needs to Prime Pool Service. read more

Used them for years, and they were great, but the last six months went downhill quickly with a new technician whose missetps were never corrected. Over the spring/summer, pool was marginally clean, even on the same afternoon post service. We have a decent amount of trees so some blow back is expected, but many times we had a significant amount of leaves and dirt on the bottom. We had an incident where the technician left the hose running which overflowed the pool. Then at the end of the summer we were gone for several weeks and didn't use the pool at all (our pool is on a hill so don't see the water from the house). Went up one day to discover the spa was almost empty. Refilled it, then was down again the next day; so means it has a leak. So, during that four week period the technican was (supposed) to be there, didn't report the leak and our pump ran, as normal, now without water, for around 2-4 weeks. Wrote them about this, didn't hear back, so there services were terminated. Perhaps I'm off kilter, but for $300+ per month I'd expect a better quality service. Also, it does seem odd that they have staff wear body cameras to ensure their staff is working AND have asked to place hidden cameras in our yard to record their technican servicing our pool. read more

Shockingly dishonest. I finally ended my service with them today after the 4th incident. The last day they serviced the pool was Jan 11, 2023 and my service log is signed off as completed into March of 2023....the future. By definition that is fraudulent. And this is the 4th incident I've had with them. I've called and been told my service has been completed and then found out for 3 weeks in a row, the technician couldn't access the pool but signed off my pool as completed. The pool was horribly green and covered in algae during the difficult time of year. This company has has no accountability and lots of excuses to either deflect the dishonesty or cover up the fact that it is a very poorly run company. No one cares. I allowed the swimming pool to get out of balance due to a leak in the pump. Trying to correct the algae problem I over medicated the water, and it came time that I could no longer clear of the pool. As I was scheduled to be unavailable for a long period of time I decided to enlist a pool company to take over. Prime Pool Service was very responsive. They came out quickly, gave me a reasonable quote which included having to drain the entire pool and replace the water and fix any leaks that they discovered in the process. I called Prime Pool to come and clean our pool and DE filters. J**n came and cleaned the pool and filters. After 30 days, the pool stopped working with filters clogged. When I opened it, they was NO DE powder in the filter! When showed they the pictures of the filters and a missing spring. They said they will fix it, but I had already cleaned the filters and put DE filters. I still need to put the missing spring. They refused to refund my 253.39. They not only need to refund me my original payment but pay for my work and spring, I will need to put in. Hope they better folks there also, I am disappointed. It is a shame the owner is blaming me for taking my hard earned money, providing a faulty service then claiming I want "free service"? Really, I want competent service. Recently fired this company and glad I did after my conversation with Mike. Owner has zero integrity, lies to cover up messes, and then blames the customer. Unprofessional. 1st issue: Cleaners wouldn't close the gate to our security fence when they finished. Isn't that basic stuff for cleaners: dip the stick, throw chemicals in to get the color right, clean out leaves, leave and CLOSE gate. This happened over and over and over and each time I informed the manager he apologized but it kept happening. I was told they would have a company wide meeting about it. If you have kids or pets you care about PLEASE reconsider using this company unless you are ok with them running off or getting into the pool accidentally and worse, drowning. CLOSE THE GATE! Ridiculous. Update: Claims tech was fired. Unfortunately there were multiple techs that did the same thing. Jonathan's excuse was "new guys going out there". So if you don't fire ALL techs that leave gates open you didn't really solve the problem. 2nd: I called to get a pump fixed. They tried to fix it and were unsuccessful. I let them know their "fix" didn't work and they wanted to charge me for a 2nd service call to come out and "diagnose" again. Usually when you pay someone to fix something and they don't, you don't get charged AGAIN to come out and fix it the way it should be fixed. I refused to pay for additional diagnosis because their first diagnosis wasn't appropriate, didn't fix anything. As much as I would love to pay over and over each time someone comes out to "try" and fix a problem, I refused. I can't comprehend how it's ok to even request additional payment to actually fix what I asked to get fixed in the first place. Who does that?! Prime does. Despite me telling them over the phone & in writing I did NOT authorize them to charge my credit card, they did it anyways. So now I have been charged 2 service calls (1 without my authorization) and my pump still isn't fixed. I was told on Friday by Jonathan he had a family emergency and he asked if he could get back to me Saturday or Monday. I said, sure Monday is fine (see photo). Monday comes and goes and no word. In fact, nobody bothered to contact me that whole week! The 2nd Monday comes and I finally email to ask why nobody has contacted me. I requested all further communication in writing. Mike responds and claims they had been "diligently trying to contact me for 2 weeks and I never responded". Cue the lies. I proceed to show him proof that there was no communication from text/email logs. Instead of apologizing for dropping the ball he lies and says they called me and listed a bogus call. Once again I show him my log (photo) that proved he was lying and that call didn't happen. No apology. He claims "I didn't want to pay money to fix my problem" *eye roll* Really Mike!? That's the best you could do? He's annoyed I didn't want to speak on the phone because he had to "argue" over email instead. Is it normal to "argue" with all your customers? Update: Mike, you are LYING. Communication was fine as we were trying to fix this problem together. Then, you didn't contact me from 1/22 until I sent email 2/1. For 10 days I heard crickets. You pass blame by saying you called 1/26 at 11:10am. As my call log shows there are NO calls the day/time you said. No voicemail/missed call/no evidence a phone call was made to my phone. In the face of that information you still lie claiming you made a phone call (but didn't leave a voicemail huh?) You claim I refused to speak with you. Nope, I wanted everything in writing. Why is it an issue for you to have things in writing? Because then there's accountability? These aren't "incredible claims" it's exactly how the situation went. If stating facts shows your bad side, well that's only on you. As others said, they do pay people to leave reviews. Good companies don't pay people to leave 5 star reviews, they get them because they earned it. Owner claims they don't pay for reviews. $25 credit for a review is definitely a payment. Like everything else you are skewing facts to save face. read more
