Darrin removed the water heater and installed an erosion feeder. The cost was reasonable, the service was prompt, and Darrin took his time to explain the changes he made and instruct me on how to use the erosion feeder. I will definitely hire A&B Pools for my next repair. read more

My pool pump stop working just before the freeze so I sent out the quote in yelp. Darin and Jennifer responded very quickly. Darin is very knowledgeable and helps talk to the home warranty for the claims I filed with my own home warranty. Darin goes above and beyond coming and replacing the pump on Sunday since the we had a freeze warning. He also checked back with us a couple of times to see if everything works as expected. I highly recommend calling A&B pool for any pool repairs needed. read more

I highly recommend A and B pool service for pool repairs. My pool pump recently died and since it was 12 years old I knew it was time for a new one. Jennifer was so knowledgeable and helpful and obtained the new pump that same day. Darrin installed the new pump with expertise and my pool looks wonderful. They were also significantly lower priced than the other companies I had spoken with If I ever need service again they are my first choice! read more

My pump was leaking and needed a new seal. I've replaced it myself several times but didn't have time to do it. Other companies said the seal wasn't available, told me to replace the entire pump/motor, or it would be days. Darrin came right out and replaced it. read more

Darrin and his team at A&B Pools just finished up a complete renovation on our pool and spa. We are very pleased with the end result. Once we narrowed down the specifics, they were quick to get started. Although the demo had it looking a little rough in the beginning, with a little time and Darrin's guidance and suggestions, it turned out better than we had anticipated. There were a couple of weather delays, but it was finished just in time for the hot temperatures. Darrin always maintained an open and honest line of communication. The cost was in line with other quotes we received but Darrin promised to make it worth choosing A&B Pools and he followed through on that promise. Now we have a sleek and modern looking pool and spa that we can enjoy and be proud of for years to come. For these reasons, we highly recommend A&B Pools. read more

I noticed last Friday evening that my main pool pump went out (saw sparks, smelled burning, so I knew the pump was out). I started emailing different pool companies to get quotes and timing. A and B pools were the only ones that 1 - communicated with me within an hour, 2 - didn't need to charge me a diagnostic visit, 3 - and could provide a new pump on the following Monday. In my opinion they went above and beyond to get my pump replaced as quickly as possible. Darrin was very knowledgeable and after replacing my pump told me about a couple of other things that "could" cause problems down the road, but didn't try to upsell me on anything. In fact they even gave me a part that needed to be replaced at no additional cost. These folks are great, and will be my good to pool repair company for any additional need. A and B Pools built a pool and pond for us 2 years ago. Darrin was completely hands on during the entire process. He responded quickly to all of our questions and was very professional. Before choosing to go with A and B, Darrin showed me several of his finished pools and provided many references. I have been burned by contractors in the past and interviewed several pool builders before making my decision. In the end, our decision came down to trust and his reputation. We bought a home in Berry Creek, it came with a twenty year old pool and spa that was never maintained.. We contracted Darrin and Jennifer to resurface both the pool and spa. From the start, they were professional, personal and important to me, responsive and on time. The project was completed in eleven days! We selected a quartz aggregate that was mostly white with a tiny amount of blue quartz. It looks fantastic! A clear clean ski blue that sparkles. We are more than pleased. read more

Out of the 5 companies I submitted a request to, they were the 2nd ones I reached out to but the last ones to reach out back to me (excluding the auto-generated "thank you" text which the other pool companies sent as well). Lisa from the office called me Wednesday at 5:38 PM and said she could have a tech come out the next day to give me a quote. Jose came out Thursday around noon. He was super nice and professional. He said he would get me 3 different quotes for the 3 type of packages they offer by the end of the day or the next day (Friday) in the morning at the latest. By Friday at 4:25 PM, I had yet to receive anything so I called and spoke to Lisa and she said they'll send it over shortly. They sent 2 quotes (not 3) at 4:40 PM. Monday morning at 10 AM, I called to discuss the quotes for further clarification, especially since the links weren't working. Lisa said she's going to call Jose and call me right back. She never did. Tuesday morning at 8:28 AM, almost a week after I had initially reached out, I called saying they never called me back and asked to speak to a manager. She put me on the phone with Jose and he was a totally different person than the guy that came out to the house. He kept interrupting me and talking over me. He was rude saying I didn't know anything about pools (that might be true but this is not my first house with a pool and that's not something you'd say to a prospective client), and making excuses for their lack of responsiveness. If they're this bad when they're trying to earn my business, I can't imagine how bad they are once they do earn it. Reading some of their other reviews, I should've just never reached out to begin with. TLDR: Unresponsive, unprofessional/rude, overpromise/underdeliver. Ended up going with a different pool company that responded right away and was able to get me on the schedule immediately.

In a nutshell, they abandoned servicing my pool with no notice. I emailed three times and did not receive any response and saw my pool turn for the bad (see pics) over those three weeks. I then get a text message saying that they had stop servicing my neighborhood as one of their technicians had left. The only excuse of this text coming so late was that they had typo'd on my cell number. While I totally understand that these things happen, what I would have expected that they leave us with the pool in good shape so that we do not have to incur the additional cost of turning over the pool. In addition to that, they are expensive compared to the market and not a great service. They always left our pool with debris at the bottom. The business owner really does not show professionalism and just really difficult to work with. Adam (the primary technician) puts in the effort but not just not been able to get the pool to how most other pool servicing companies deliver results. Fallon (the business owner) just does not seem capable or responsible for dealing with customers. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend these folks any more and its a shame to see a small business like this go from a great reputation to abysmal customer service levels.

Absolute Fence & Gate were outstanding to work with: they came in cheaper than all other alternatives, were the most responsive with clear communication, and were very knowledgable about the options within our space. Amanda was extremely responsive and helped us scope out our initial ask to coordinate an onsite bid walk quickly and helped sort out billing. Travis helped develop our initial concept for a gate into an efficient, turn-key solution that would abide by local codes and fit within our budget. After clarifying our scope, the project was completed at a lightning pace. They staggered the required demo of our old fence until the day they'd be able to erect the fencing to minimize the amount of time our house was exposed to the street. The work crews were very professional and Travis and his team clearly explained the scope each day and progress updates. In addition, Cade and the gate operator crew were outstanding. They set up the motor and made sure all items were functional tested. They did a terrific job commissioning the equipment and explaining how to use it. The commissioning team also noted that our gate operator had a minor issue and contacted the manufacturer for a same-day under warranty solution. The level of service was outstanding, and I was very pleased to have a total turnkey solution. During the construction, Travis would check in with the teams and ensure quality work which resulted in zero punch items at final walk. Travis even performed a final QA check on the operator to make sure operation was up to their quality standard. Every team member was very knowledgeable and professional. Craig Jolicoeur was so responsive, thoughtful and meticulous that you'd think it was his own fence that was going up. He didn't waste my time like others did with endless and irrelevant questions. He was straight to the point, efficient, and always friendly. The fence and gate look terrific and my friends are delighted. Good value, too. While Absolute Fence didn't submit the cheapest quote, I knew I was getting quality materials and finish for a great price.
