I paid $150 for a professional diagnostic visit after my pool pump stopped working. Pegasus Pools then issued Quote #599828 for approximately $2,775 to replace the complete pump, stating that replacement was recommended due to its age and condition. Later that same day, after restoring power at the breaker, the existing pump began working normally. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I contacted the company several times by email and text asking what tests were performed and what specific defect had been found. I received no response.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] A recommendation to replace an expensive piece of equipment should be supported by clear diagnostic findings. In my experience, the $150 diagnostic fee was not justified, and the lack of communication afterward was very disappointing. read more

I had my nearly 30year old pool replastered by Pegasus. We used a Wet Edge plaster and new tile. They were on time and within budget. I am very happy with the end result. I can always count on him to care about my pool and I appreciate that he goes above and beyond when he sees a need. I have a relatively small grotto area under our waterfall and it is hard to reach with the brush even with the long pole. I have been using Pegasus since my pool was built in December 2023. Riddle does an outstanding job to ensure my pool stays sparkling! My fountain had some discoloration(yellowing) around the fountain spout, and he made sure it was cleaned. I'm sure it required some scrubbing. We had our pool built by California Pools. They suggested Pegasus for maintaining. We really loved our guy that came out to clean (Robert)....however Scott was not very attentive nor followed through with all the issues we have with our app. This is the reason we discontinued service. The lack of follow through from a management level was not good. We are now using Hines. read more

Came out to install/replace 2 pool lights (had to replace the line, not just a bulb). One was no problem, the other was a problem. It took them 2 days and various attempts and methods but they were able to get the second one done. Worked their butts off in the heat to make sure they would get it done. The worst case scenario (of not being able to get it thru the conduit and have a light at all) was never an option for them. read more

We were with Pegasus for over 2 years, but noticed a significant decline in service. Our Pentair cleaner pump stopped working and we were developing pink staining and pink water in our waterfall pump. Pegasus said our cleaner pump needed to be replaced and wanted to charge us for a new o-ring and quoted over $800 for a new Pentair cleaner pump. Our new pool company started yesterday and advised that the pink staining was mold because the waterfall was not running had not been running for a very long time. He also said the o-ring did not need to be replaced. He also said the cleaner pump was very clogged and that's why it wasn't running. After the new pool company cleaned it out, our cleaner pump is now running, our waterfall and slide are running after not running for about a year (which we advised our pool cleaner of numerous times), and the pink staining and pink water is already going away after being chemically treated. This makes us question if any previous repairs/clean outs charged by Pegasus were actually necessary. We're so glad we changed pool companies. BUYER BEWARE read more
