I rarely write reviews but unfortunately this warranted one as I had selected Blue Ocean due to their high ratings. My time with Blue Ocean was so frustratingly disappointing. I worked with them for close to a year and had to ask them almost monthly to find a new person to clean our pool. The kids they hire just do not understand how cleaning pools work, and the owners, who were very nice, would agree that it is 'hard to find good work these days'. For example, the pool cleaners would constantly brush the pool before vacuuming then the dirt would settle back in. The pool floor was always left dirty. I even would go out and speak with them to no avail. I can see them on the cameras doing it this way which was always so frustrating. Additionally, more often than not, they would neglect to leave chlorine in the bowl. No less than 5 times did I find the chlorine tablet sitting on top of the basket, which caused algae to grow The only reason I did not fire them sooner was because one of the pool cleaners had chipped tiles in our hot tub and the company promised to fix it. It took many, many, many months for them to finally fix the tiles which is appreciated (and why they are rated two stars instead of one). Ultimately, I hate to leave a negative review but this was very warranted. Do not use them for your service, especially if you are very passionate about a clean pool. read more

I've been using Blue Ocean for almost 3 years now & they've been fantastic every step of the way. As a novice pool owner they're always great to answer questions, troubleshoot over the phone & even swing by when I'm not on the schedule when I'm in a jam from trying to clean my own filter (won't attempt that again). The office staff is friendly & patient and the tech's knowledgeable & actually care. 5 stars all the way! read more

I waited to review this business because I've had such bad luck with pool companies recently. :( But Stephanie & her crew have SAVED THE DAY! They have been responsive, reasonably priced & SUPER- FRIENDLY! I trust them with my pool weekly now. They replaced the pump & filter tank IMMEDIATELY (after WEEKS trying to coordinate with my former company.) They helped me find the right option for my (tiny) pool & are filing the forms with the City to get me a rebate! :) I also APPRECIATE my 2 techs (Danielle & Nate) -- they text with me & keep me informed of EVERY need/issue. I can't tell you HOW MUCH this means to me after my last company who would ghost me for WEEKS. THANK YOU, BLUE OCEAN! read more

This company has gone WAY downhill, from the time I started using them in 2022 when they did provide amazing service. In the last few months, my pool filter was not cleaned although I approved the service, my pool is full of algae, even though only a few people ever swim in it, and my pool waterfall and lights stopped working. When I brought this to their attention, Laura told me that the high heat temperatures were the reason for the algae, and that unless I wanted more pool service, there was nothing that could be done about it. They just don't have the "man hours" to ensure pools are algae free right now? Then, when I mentioned that my pool equipment was not working properly, she said she would be willing to have someone do a diagnostic test to see what the problem was for an additional $150. That used to be included in the $75 dollar cleaning fee, "maintaining all equipment" just means they take a picture of your pool equipment. They also now require a c.c. on file, so that they may bill you for the contract you signed even if they never show up to clean your pool or are able to answer even simple questions. read more

Blue Ocean Pool Service - Dillon is the man! - Pool Cleaners Near Me - Liberty Hill, Texas

I had called around a few places and finally settled on another company a while back. Blue Ocean didn't show up in my original search. One of the hardest things when looking for a business like this is when someone picks up the phone and hates your right away. It makes it difficult to explain what you need work on and to ask questions you might have too. When I finally got fed up with the guys I worked with before I searched a little outside of my previous zone and called Blue Ocean when they showed up. Stephanie answered the phone and she is very welcoming from the jump. She answered as many questions as she could for me and got answers via text and email things she wasn't totally sure about. It was absolutely top notch level customer service. Her value to that place is the highest. Cooper came out to clean my pool and he was responsive, answered some questions for me and took some good completion photos that came in an email. Very respectful and patient too. Overall, I don't think people think of much except "who's the cheapest" when it comes to pool service but the experience with Blue Ocean makes their very reasonable pricing seem like a drop in the bucket for the level of service they provide. I'm blown away by how exceptional the service side of their business is. Having a clean pool is just a cherry on top. Thanks to the Blue Ocean team. Hands down the best service I can remember. So long as I have a pool I'll use your services and any time anyone brings up questions/issues with their pool I'm sending them your way for business! read more

If I could give Danielle and the Blue Ocean Pool Team a 10 star review I would! Our pool builder left us in limbo after the pool was filled and Danielle came in and performed our Start-up service and our pool was swim ready within a matter of hours. Danielle and the Blue Ocean team have exceptional communication skills an email the day of service and a text with an eta from the technician. They shared their expertise on the our equipment "pool school" and when we finally had the heater connected they came back "free of charge" to teach us how to use it. I priced around and by far Blue Ocean Pool Services is priced just right! You won't be disappointed when you hire this team as they are friendly, courteous, prompt and most importantly reliable. Thank you Danielle and Blue Ocean Pool Team for supporting us and helping us start our pool the right way! We appreciate you! read more

Wow! These guys and gal (Danielle) are amazing! Our Pool has never looked so beautiful! I especially love the communication! They tell me when they are coming, what needed to be added, I get a beautiful and concise report emailed to me with a photo of the pool each week when they are done! It gave us tremendous peace of mind when we were out of town for 10 days knowing the pool was in mint shape! These folks are the best in the business! read more

Incredible service and great people to work with! Our pool looks amazing. Thank you Blue Ocean!!!

We recently switched our pool service company to Blue Ocean and couldn't be happier. Chris came out, answered all our questions, made sure all chemicals were where they needed to be - unfortunately, they weren't, so he adjusted them and our pool has never been cleaner. Dillon has been amazing at keeping the pool sparkling. Would highly recommend Chris and his team. read more

Blue Ocean has been great to work with. Their technicians are friendly, knowledgeable, and thorough.

I started service with Blue Ocean after a pool service I was quite pleased with had to close due to family health issues out of state. After some research, checking reviews, I tried BlueOcean, and the owner Chris talks a good game. The experience we had was VERY different. If I could leave negative numbers I would, I would strongly discourage anyone from using this service. They talk a good game, but spent months 'sneaking up' on balancing my chemicals after I paid them to drain and pressure wash our pool and and rebalance the chemicals. To disassemble and clean our DE filter. Nothing beyond token response anytime I questioned the chemicals, was repeatedly told they were 'sneaking up on it' . They were paid for full service and all chemicals, but never did balance the chemicals in the pool. But I did get letters about the need for me to clean and treat with chemicals in between visits (weekly service from them) to keep up my pool. Something none of the other vendors I have had needed me to do. Chemicals never were right up to where we parted ways (March 2023 to June 2023). They dumped shock directly in the skimmers ( even after being told repeatedly not to) and damaged my gaskets and fittings as a result. But denied that could be them, it had to be old damage on parts that were replaced in Oct of last year. But they offered to repair them at a charge both parts and labor. When I personally cleaned my DE filter this past weekend both the Cellulose DE replacement my previous service recommended and Blue Ocean said they had cleaned AND the The DE added since were there, and it was actually growing algae in a filter I paid to have cleaned in May (it is July as I type this). They did not disassemble the filter for cleaning as I was told, at most they sprayed the assembled unit with a hose and put it back. It took they 23 min to 'clean' the filter(by time stamped video of them arriving and leaving my home), took me 3 hours this past weekend. Though a professional probably could cut my time in half. I do not recommend this service, they are more about stacking on repairs, any time I had a question about the quality of the service or state of the pool they blamed my plaster (which is fine probably needs replacing in 3 to 5 years based on 3 other vendors I got to look at it) and offered to redo it for 13K read more
