I used to have them for my monthly pest service, and I left them because they were overpriced in a commodity market, frankly doing the usual utility bait you in with lower initial cost and raise the costs progressively from there strategy. Fast forward a couple years, and I needed a "ONE TIME" treatment for something else which I made abundantly clear to the salesman are we were putting our home on the market. My wife heard this reiterated the entire time ad nauseum, as I don't want a serial payment on a property I'm not planning on retaining. I then suddenly start getting bills from them, and call the salesperson who says he will look into it, but didn't do a thing so to ensure they don't do anything to my credit I paid it while I actively look for another company to take over from them and have them yank their stuff out of the ground. I don't even mind paying more just to be done with this operation. If you do contract with them, spend the week looking through all the fine print because the salesperson will either lie to your face or just ignore your wishes. Similar to the two below, the intro service was fine, the next one left spots on my wood floors that I'm still trying to get off, told them not to come back. They left messages scheduling more appointments, which I returned their call and said not to come out, but continued billing even though they didn't perform the service - twice they did this. In spite of taking the time to reply, in writing, twice, informing them I'm not paying for a service not rendered they continue to send overdue letters and threaten to send it to collections. I canceled their service because they showed up and spent no more than 5 minutes to do the job outside of the house and left a note saying they have done the treatment for the house while they did not come inside the house. one other time they told me they would come to perform the treatment for the house but they never show up, also did not even call me. I waited for the whole day for them. after several incident, I decided they are not up to the tasks and canceled their service. They did try to collect the contract termination fee but I never pay them just because of the principle. They did, however, put a ding on my credit which I don't give a shit...I will not pay for something they say they will do but never did. At first I saw that this was a locally own business so I wanted to use them also to help out. The quote I received was $1200. Over priced but it was all right. They charged my credit card $1299. I was upset but I paid. Then several months later I received call stating I still owe them money. Their explanation was I still owe them tax. I asked I was charged $1200 and paid $1299. Their answer was the person who quoted me gave me the wrong quote. Then I asked why wasn't the tax charge at the same time, the answer was they don't have an explanation for that. We have been faithful customer's for many years in 2 different homes in The Woodlands. The guys were always professional and left service cards at the door. When we moved to the last home in 2014, we had a major cutter ant issue!! They appeared out of nowhere and were destroying everything in sight! I called the office in a panic and the gal got someone out the very next day. He not only took care of all the beds, he followed the ant trail all the way to the back of the preserve and knocked those suckers out! We now live in Denver, Colorado. Worst company ever!!!!!! Poor performance and unfriendly customer service. They schedule appointments without actually talking to you. They call you every 3 months and simply leave messages the day before they want to come out. If you do not return their call they just come out and if they cannot perform the complete service they charge you anyways. I cancelled all of my 3 accounts since I finally have enough of those guys. But they did not even care or asked why I am cancelling. All they did is charge me a cancellations fee. Preventive Pest Control Team - Sales personnel made good service promises. That seems to be a trap/ hook now as it was not delivered. The first service was extremely good and then it was never the same. The second service was conducted inside house and was not rescheduled for outside as it was wet/ raining. I was charged for the entire service, despite only partial internal spray was done. Next scheduled Service was not conducted. Next Service was also not conducted. My neighbor (House in front of mine) had a personnel from "Preventive Pest Control" conducting pest control services same day as scheduled for mine also. I was in the front yard and my kids were playing out and I was waiting and expecting that he may turn up after completing their services. Its extremely disappointing and frustrating that with big promises Preventive Pest Control West Houston Team take up contract and then do not deliver. As a result there has been increase in pests around my house. Kids do not play in yard as there are lots of ants and bugs. I have already been to Doctor visit for these ant bites with these bulb like pus being formed due to these bites. And above that without providing service, and we going through all this, Preventive Pest Control team is sending me invoice to pay for not providing service. Just because Preventive Pest Control sales team promised and I accepted that in good faith which Preventive Pest Control West Houston Operations team failed to deliver. Preventive Pest Control is sending me invoices for not providing and failing in the services. I am not going to pay for not getting the service. They need to improve service. Horribly service would charge me and never provide the service, but were very quick to send a bill. They would come out and leave a note that my bill was past due and never would come back to provide the service even though I paid them. Horrible, horrible experience. This issue is solely based on my experience with Preventive Pest Control (PPC) and I'm not eluding that the issue I had is a business practice of PPC, with that said. I have had PPC for almost 2 years now. They came to my home on 11-3-2016 to perform the Bi-Monthly Service. The technician arrived at my home at 3:45pm, he stayed in the vehicle for several minutes before coming to the door, he knocked very lightly, however I could not come to the door, I was on a business call. He returned to the vehicle and stayed in the vehicle until 4:13pm, then left. No Service was performed; No service note was left at the door saying service was performed or not performed. I thought this was odd, and I also thought that if I don't receive the bill, I would be ok with them not doing the service that day. (I would like to note, it did rain lightly that day, however it was not raining when he was here.) Well, 10 days later I received the bill for services performed on that day. I was shocked that a business would do this. I thought how many other customers are getting billed and not receiving service. Also, I would like to add that this year I have had many problems with bugs, ants, moths & insects, and had called PPC out repeatedly to re-service my home. Now I believe that the problems I had, were due to not getting service or the products used, not effective or no products were used. Maybe just water was used? When service is performed, I'm not always home, like many customers, I can see how this company can take advantage of that situation. I called PPC and talked to a manager, he said that the technician had never received a complaint before, he added that the technician was new to the company but had many years' experience. The manager apologized, removed the charge for service, and ask if there is anything they could do to make it right. Needless to say, Preventive Pest Control and I have parted ways. My opinion of this company is that they are unethical and not credible. Please be aware and cautious when choosing your pest control company. If you currently are using a pest control company, request that the service be performed while you are at home. read more

I'm giving this five stars, for two reasons; 1. The staff you speak to on the phone are incredibly polite! If you have a problem, they will listen and do their 100% best to solve it. 2. When I had my initial service done, I felt, at the time, that it was not to my expectations. Immediately I called the customer service folks. The very next day they sent out a manager to come fix any concerns I had. I recommend this company because their prices are low and their service is excellent. read more

Had a one time "general" treatment applied - inside and outside. Consisted of spray, granules and various baits/strips. They removed all spiderwebs and mud wasp nests outside. Company provided service (which was ok..) until we sold the property. We had another property under construction and they told us we had to keep using them or face an early term fee. I was more than happy to keep them. On 2/14/18 MI Homes flooded our project which resulted in widespread mold. We backed out and commenced a new build with Perry. We told PPC that this was beyond our control. They didn't want to wait until the new project was done and demanded 100 dollars. They have continually mailed me a bill attempting to extort money. The hilarious part is they started mailing me cards begging me to come back as a client for 29 bucks. Not a fan of being extorted so I don't see a reason why I would bother giving them my business. read more

"The first service was great but quickly it went downhill from there." How true those words are! The first time out, they did exactly as described, they sprayed up 4' and out 4', and they treated inside as a precaution. 30 days went by, then another 30. No follow up, no call. So we called. They came out and treated the exterior but they just shot the weepholes around the house. The next visit went the same. We had to call to get them out (even though they are under a contract to do so regardless). However, Preventative continued to faithfully send a bill for services bi-monthly. Finally, the last time a tech visited, he treated the house as it was beginning to rain. When asked about the possibility of rain, he said the application would dry before it got too wet. When we called to complain we were told that they would send a tech back out. No explanation was given as to why our home was treated during the rain. When we asked about a money back guarantee, we were told that we don't qualify because they have not been called out for the same issue multiple times. I'm sure there are better pest control companies out there. For years I did my own by going to domyownpestcontrol.com but, lately I haven't had the time. All we requested was a termite inspection from Preventive Pest Control! J.D. Odom, inspector, did not find termites but he claims to have found a rodent(s) infestation that he identified as "roof rats." We took the bait and paid $1,844.14 to "trap and remove" the rats. It is important to note that we never had a reason to believe that we were infested with rodents in the first place. So, we made it a priority to schedule the time needed to be physically present for all four of the reps over the next four weeks. After paying $1,822.14, we needed to see evidence of an infestation. ZERO RATS WERE TRAPPED AND REMOVED which brings the question to mind, how many of Preventive Pest Control clients, unknowingly, have taken the bait by paying thousands of dollars without the presence of one single rat to support the inspection report? Owner, Jeremy Logston, has refused to reimburse us! So we are hoping to help others! Jeremy Logston claims that his company "sealed all access points" so IF rats select our home anytime in the future, we are prepared. Please? We don't know of anyone that has enough money and time available, that they would enter into such an agreement. Do you know of anyone that would be ok with this and would you personally pay for a "Rodent Control Service Contract" in the amount of $1,822.14 IF you knew that you did not have a single rat? I have had a very pleasant experience with this company so far. The gentleman that came to spray explained that if I still saw bugs or ants or anything in 2 weeks he would come respray for free. Someone from the company called after the spray to follow up on my experience and to see if I needed anything else. I thought that was nice. I did ask for a 2nd respray and they came no problem. I bought a house that had been vacant for a long time. I had a problem with snakes all around the house so I called Preventive to see if they had any advice what we could do and get a on a basic plan of exterminating for ants and bugs. The inspector came out and when I told him my concerns he said the reason I had snakes by the house was because there were probably rats in my attic. He proceeded to go up the ladder leading to the attic and stopped and said I can see rats looking at me, you definitely have a serious problem with rats. At that point he went through the service they would do to get rid of the rats which was to close all the holes going into the house so the rats could not come in or out. The next week the tech came out and closed all the holes and put traps all over the attic and outside under our patio. For 3 weeks they came and checked the traps to retrieve rats and never found one rat in the traps. None of the bait was touched. I know that the rats did not just disappear so I was deceived. To this day and 800 dollars later there has not been one rat seen or caught and this was 5 months ago. When I signed up for the rat service I also signed a one year contract for extermination of bugs. They come out every other month for this service which is 70 dollars every time they come out we are unsatisfied with that service as well. This has been the worse experience we have ever had with an exterminator. I would not recommend this company to anyone and can't wait until my contract is up.
