Over the series of experiences I've had, it was strangely somewhere in the middle. The positive side was that they were incredibly responsive. The customer service is on point and the attitude of their management is definitely a class act. I have no doubt this is a major driver for their most positive reviews and deservedly so. The part where I struggle is the mixed experiences from the various technicians that had come to one of my properties that had an ant, cockroach, and spider problem. The initial $160 was a bit higher than I expected, but a small price that I was willing to pay to rid the property of creepy crawlers. Jason and Servando (sp) extremely brief in their initial run of the place. Even after their treatment, I still saw plenty of spider action where it was clear were not that thorough. After explaining my situation to their staff, they assigned the manager at the time, Daniel, to come back and apply treatment the way he intended. He went nuclear with a whole host of sprays and was extremely thorough both inside and out. His work made a world of difference and there was very little bug activity for close to a year. He was thorough in his explanaition and super transparent with his approach. If every experience was this thorough I think I'd be more receptive to future service. He has unfortunately left the company. Typically they recommend treatment 3 to 4 months. The subsequent visits after my initial concerns were not charged, which I'm thankful for but should not have taken that many times just to get the desired result. It was close to $250 for carpet ant treatment, which felt out of my budget but was assured that the chemicals would be different than the standard ones used for treatment. I was presented with a 30 and 60-day warranty which is fine but not something I elected to go for this past time around. While I'm sure they've done stellar work for other households and other properties, I do wish that I was able to experience the same magic on a consistent basis.

I looked for a company to remove and treat the affected issues. I could see two areas when they came out they found one more. We assume it was raccoons not in the attic nor crawl space. First time having this issue but it's been resolved. I am a bit concerned since it rained last night post cleanup and treatment. I'm hopeful it solves the issue and I won't need to address again. I can't recommend Bug State highly enough!**…read more Another "highly regarded" termite company inspected my home and told me I had a termite infestation in some beams on the exterior walls. Their recommendation was to tent the entire house, which would have been very expensive and a major disruption to our lives. Before committing, I read some reviews online and called Bug State for a second opinion. Ken came out, did a preliminary inspection, and wasn't convinced we had termites. Rather than guess, he recommended removing some of the exterior wall panels to see what was really going on. Once the panels were off, he came back and inspected again: no termites, just ants. What a relief. Ken is extremely knowledgeable and trustworthy. He took the time to find the actual answer instead of selling me an expensive treatment I didn't need. If another company is pressuring you into tenting, get a second opinion from Bug State first. Or better yet, call Bug State first the initial look.
