Greg W., Fresno, TX

Adrian from Stampede Pest Control arrived within my assigned appointment window and professionally introduced himself. He asked about my issue and explained the best first-step approach to address my concerns. After a thorough inspection of the outside of my property, he proceeded to the attic. He then returned shortly to explain his findings: a suspected squirrel(s) hanging out in my attic. He then discussed convincingly and professionally the best approach to eradicate the problem.

If I could give no starts I would. I hired this company in September 2020 to ensure we had no termite issues. They proceeded to send me automated monthly invoices and automated emails stating some treatments were being preformed. When I sent an email asking if termites were an issue, I had to ask again because they are very inattentive when it doesn't have to be automated and a human needs to be at the other end. I received a reply in January that there were no issues. April of 2021 I had a home inspection completed that noted visible termite activity in a very publicly accessible spot in front of the non-gated portion of my property and a pretty photo with a clear termite path coming from the ground onto the concrete portion of the foundation and going up into the house. A month later we have swarming termites inside the house. This company was being paid for half a year for pest and termite control. Look at the attached photos and see if you should trust these guys. I called several times and emailed asking them for a full refund and their automated system still continued to charge my card monthly!!!! I still have not been able to get refunded from these people and had to change my credit card to stop getting billed. These are pure lazy scammers that have automated a system that looks professional but when it come to the work and quality, there is nothing. My frustration with these folks has been exceeded and I gave them many chances via email and phone to make things right and refund otherwise I would move on to other measures. It has been crickets on their end. I have had so much damage to my property because of their negligence that it's now more than just a refund issue. PSA: stay away from these greedy and negligent people that will cost you thousands because they simply don't care to do the right thing, including just doing the job they were hired to do. They literally cannot do what they are saying they are there to do. Honestly happy they can remember to breathe and eat.

We had a mouse problem and requested service through Yelp. Several vendors reached out to us, but…read morewe went with Ruben. Key Take Aways - Fair Price He gave us an estimate based on the info I gave him on my home via text. After he came out and saw the size and scope of my home and garage, he increased the estimate slightly, but not by much. Based on the other estimates I got and the research I did, what he charged was fair. He also provided a one year warranty. - Work Product He secured all the potential points of entry. He put down traps and we caught a couple of field mice. He did mention that he left an opening behind the kitchen sink in case there were still mice in the walls to give them an exit route, but he left traps under the kitchen sink. Service/Warranty A few weeks later, I spotted a mouse inside the house (not under the kitchen sink). We called Ruben and he was very responsive. He came back out and laid some more traps and we caught the mouse (Ruben thinks it was a mouse that just got in, probably from leaving the back door open). After that, we were out of town for about a week and we returned, and found a dead mouse caught in Ruben's trap under the kitchen sink (remember, he left some openings so that any mice in the walls could get out). Ruben came out again and used some foam to close the remaining openings. He also recommended a spray to take out the smell of pheromones which might be attracting new mice (e.g. through the back door). I can say as of now, it appears the mouse problem has been eradicated. - Knowledge of Craft/Professionalism I have had so many questions about what a mouse can and cannot do. Ruben patiently answers all of my questions which has helped me navigate a very difficult situation. Ruben is the epitome of professionalism. He knows his craft and he executes his process flawlessly. He is customer focused and is very responsive and respectful. He did not use those scare tactics used by other companies (e.g "mice are responsible for this % of house fires, etc.) to scare me into action. I highly recommend that if you have a rodent problem, don't ignore it and call Ruben. You won't be disappointed and you won't be ripped off.

I looked for a company to remove and treat the affected issues. I could see two areas when they came out they found one more. We assume it was raccoons not in the attic nor crawl space. First time having this issue but it's been resolved. I am a bit concerned since it rained last night post cleanup and treatment. I'm hopeful it solves the issue and I won't need to address again. There are no pictures post cleanup. I documented photos of what I saw to get an idea if I was calling the right company to handle.

As the highest rated pest control business in the city, I had high expectations for their service…read morebased on their online reputation. Over the series of experiences I've had, it was strangely somewhere in the middle. The positive side was that they were incredibly responsive. The customer service is on point and the attitude of their management is definitely a class act. I have no doubt this is a major driver for their most positive reviews and deservedly so. The part where I struggle is the mixed experiences from the various technicians that had come to one of my properties that had an ant, cockroach, and spider problem. The initial $160 was a bit higher than I expected, but a small price that I was willing to pay to rid the property of creepy crawlers. Jason and Servando (sp) extremely brief in their initial run of the place. Even after their treatment, I still saw plenty of spider action where it was clear were not that thorough. After explaining my situation to their staff, they assigned the manager at the time, Daniel, to come back and apply treatment the way he intended. He went nuclear with a whole host of sprays and was extremely thorough both inside and out. His work made a world of difference and there was very little bug activity for close to a year. He was thorough in his explanaition and super transparent with his approach. If every experience was this thorough I think I'd be more receptive to future service. He has unfortunately left the company. Typically they recommend treatment 3 to 4 months. The subsequent visits after my initial concerns were not charged, which I'm thankful for but should not have taken that many times just to get the desired result. It was close to $250 for carpet ant treatment, which felt out of my budget but was assured that the chemicals would be different than the standard ones used for treatment. I was presented with a 30 and 60-day warranty which is fine but not something I elected to go for this past time around. While I'm sure they've done stellar work for other households and other properties, I do wish that I was able to experience the same magic on a consistent basis.

We live in a home built in 2021 near active construction and developed a rodent issue in the attic. After initially managing it with traps, the problem escalated when I noticed a strong odor on Monday, 4/27. We found significant droppings and urine staining in the attic, so I requested multiple estimates. Pest exclusion quotes ranged from $900-$1,850, and duct/insulation remediation ranged from $4,800-$7,800. I found Total Pest Elimination based on strong online reviews from yelp. On Wednesday, 4/29, I contacted Juan (the owner) for a written estimate. He sent Elli to inspect the attic; he attempted to locate the source of the odor and set traps but could not find the dead animal. I repeatedly followed up for the written estimate, which was not provided until the next day. My husband and I hired the company because they offered a single-scope solution, provided the lowest quote, and indicated they could start quickly. The total estimate was $6,600, and Juan stated the work would take a couple of days. Communication and scheduling were inconsistent from the start. On Thursday there was no proactive update; when I called, Juan said they would begin Friday, 5/1 at 9:00 a.m., and offered to send Elli Thursday evening to set traps. Elli arrived with Andrew, brought odor eliminators, set traps, and again searched unsuccessfully for the dead rodent. They confirmed they would start work at 9:00 a.m. the next morning. On Friday, 5/1, no one arrived at 9:00 a.m. At 9:22 a.m. I texted Juan and was told Andrew was "around the corner." Andrew arrived around 9:48 a.m. without supplies or direction and remained in the attic until about 12:30 p.m., when Juan arrived for the first time with minimal equipment (a small shop vacuum, bags, and paper to protect the entryway). Juan then requested 50% payment to purchase supplies, which had not been discussed in advance. Elli arrived after 2:00 p.m.; with limited equipment, they located and removed the dead rodent and then left. I was told they would return Saturday at 9:00 a.m. to complete the job. By this point I had paid $3,500, and I was relieved the odor was improving after the rodent was removed. A larger crew arrived Saturday and began removal work with two shop vacs, but the job was not completed. I was later told Sunday would not work, and that they would return Monday at 9:00 a.m. and finish by Tuesday at the latest. Late Sunday night (11:35 p.m.), Juan texted that he was trying to locate a machine to rent and would update me in the morning. As of Tuesday, the work still was not finished, and the team left approximately 10 large bags of old insulation at the curb despite my request to move them (my garage has been unusable throughout this process). It is now Wednesday; I have had to cancel appointments and stay home, which has disrupted my job search and daily schedule. I also want to clarify what was represented as included in the scope of work: closing all exclusions, setting traps, and returning weekly (four weeks) to remove any rodents caught. I was also told they could remove and replace all contaminated insulation and, once removed, sanitize the attic floor. That capability was not there. Juan arrived with only a small shop vacuum and suggested the crew shovel insulation out. He hired contract workers who said the proper machine and appropriate PPE were required, and there was no plan or containment (plastic sheeting), even though our attic access is inside the house--not in the garage--so containment is essential. The insulation "upgrade" conversation was also misleading: I was told I would need to pay an additional $1,500 to upgrade to fiberglass, but the insulation already in my attic was fiberglass (R-38). I asked for the same R-value to be replaced, but what was brought was the cheapest material available and did not match what we agreed to. As of May 7, I am out $3,500 and left with a major mess: dust throughout my house and garage, and my garage is still unusable. The workers who were in my home worked hard over the week, but they lacked leadership, proper supplies, and clear direction. I terminated Total Pest Elimination on May 6 and now must hire someone else to clean up and complete the attic work. Juan may do well with basic pest trapping but based on my experience I would be extremely cautious about hiring this company for exclusion or insulation/remediation work.
