    Kristin S.

Today I had the pleasure of working with Natalie, she came out, she's fearless and she went right to the source(s) of the problem. I have had issues with Roof Rats of late, Natalie efficiently located the problem areas, assessed the entire situation and provided a recommendation for service on site. I can't wait to work with them and had the peace of mind that my home is rodent free and insect free. UPDATE: Rather than leave a bad review, which isn't fair, I want to follow up on my experience and leave a rating that is reflective of my individual situation. I hired TPE after Natalie came out and identified the problem and made a recommendation to move forward with pest exclusion, which was in my original review. The men came out and worked over two days and sealed my home and garage in places. They worked very hard and I will not complain about the work that they did. It was very neat. But it didn't solve the problem. Rats were getting inside my house, still. They were still finding a way into my roof as well. As a courtesy, Natalie dropped by with some glue traps but we never did a final walk through to check the work. Today my uncle came by and walked the property. We found some inconsistencies in the entry points that were closed in certain areas but left open in others and some places that were overlooked. I sent photos and called Natalie and she advised that they would come out and look, but that some of the areas in my photographs weren't part of the services they provided (specifically caulking around the windows), and that rodents wouldn't come in through an opening around a window which is not true, a rat will get in where they can fit in and I could fit my hand inside of some of the things left open. But ok, fair enough, you don't do exclusion work around windows, noted. The areas that were inclusive were not explained to me, just that they would go around the parameter of the house and seal off everything. I was happy to pay for the cost of labor and materials, and wasn't looking for them to come back out and do anything, but instead asked for a reduction in the cost of service. I want to pay for the work to be done right. She told me that rodents don't enter through the places I showed her which is not true. Juan, who I assume is the owner, called right away and was very nice and attempted to make things right when I expressed why I was dissatisfied. I explained to him that this was in no way a judgement on the work that the men DID do, but sincerely expressed concern over what was not done. I was going to allow him to come back and see for himself and we'd settled on that. When I got off the phone, I realized that Natalie had sent me a text message that I assume was intended for Juan calling me a "complicated" customer. I don't understand how I became a complicated customer. I hadn't had a walk through so outside of the photos that were shared, she doesn't know what areas were missed. The photos show what clearly was not done to my home, and I even included a photo of the window that was not a part of service. Honesty, had she not sent that text by mistake, I probably would have let matters go and just severed the business relationship, but overall, I paid for an exclusion service and only part of the work was completed. I don't think there is anything complicated about that.

Open area outside of home that may be an entry point for rodents

Great service, the price he quoted me was almost exactly what I paid. Came out promptly, and got the job done quickly.

Over the series of experiences I've had, it was strangely somewhere in the middle. The positive side was that they were incredibly responsive. The customer service is on point and the attitude of their management is definitely a class act. I have no doubt this is a major driver for their most positive reviews and deservedly so. The part where I struggle is the mixed experiences from the various technicians that had come to one of my properties that had an ant, cockroach, and spider problem. The initial $160 was a bit higher than I expected, but a small price that I was willing to pay to rid the property of creepy crawlers. Jason and Servando (sp) extremely brief in their initial run of the place. Even after their treatment, I still saw plenty of spider action where it was clear were not that thorough. After explaining my situation to their staff, they assigned the manager at the time, Daniel, to come back and apply treatment the way he intended. He went nuclear with a whole host of sprays and was extremely thorough both inside and out. His work made a world of difference and there was very little bug activity for close to a year. He was thorough in his explanaition and super transparent with his approach. If every experience was this thorough I think I'd be more receptive to future service. He has unfortunately left the company. Typically they recommend treatment 3 to 4 months. The subsequent visits after my initial concerns were not charged, which I'm thankful for but should not have taken that many times just to get the desired result. It was close to $250 for carpet ant treatment, which felt out of my budget but was assured that the chemicals would be different than the standard ones used for treatment. I was presented with a 30 and 60-day warranty which is fine but not something I elected to go for this past time around. While I'm sure they've done stellar work for other households and other properties, I do wish that I was able to experience the same magic on a consistent basis.

They did an excellent job! Pam had come alone previously and tried to do this job by herself but really needed an additional hand moving the washer and dryer. He found the source of the entry, got on a ladder and took a picture. His solution: wait til I don't hear it anymore and call them back and they can seal it up. Seriously? Paid 59$ for this - for nothing. I called wildescapes. Matthew said "I'm gonna come put a one-way trap up there, seal all but the trap and I'm gonna do it right now" The squirrel was gone by the afternoon. I will say biotech called me back an hour after their tech was out here. Office person asked if I would like them to come put a one-way trap on the vent? You know what??? that would've been an excellent suggestion for the tech to make while he's sitting here talking to me and STARING AT MY HOUSE but it's too late now. She said they could send a more experience technician. Then why did you send that one to begin with? Don't waste your money- call Matthew.
