Great customer service, HHUUUHGGGEEEEE selection... definitely one of those iykyk spots. I finally got a chance to try a place I've driven past a million times but never actually went inside, and I'm glad I stopped in instead of just running errands. Ended up finding way more than I expected and honestly could've stayed in there longer just looking around. Definitely worth checking out.

Don't sleep on this place the chef is phenomenal the food was fantastic the family vibe is there and they do good business. I ordered a plate of lamb ribs, turkey tail, mackerel in coconut milk, cornbread luau, fa'i in coconut milk, sapsui and meat pies. All were fantastic the meat pies where new from last time I went their and great add on was great after a warm up in the air fryer. Any time I'm in long beach I'm grabbing something from here.

Best Samoan food in Southern California, hands down. My team had never tried Samoan food so I decided to order a spread for them! Everything was great and made it early enough to get some Pani Popo. Everything was amazing and I think you gained some new fans of Samoan food which was the whole purpose.

This spot is a true hidden gem for samoan food in Carson! Food was delicious and you can tell everything is fresh and homemade. Everything on my plate was seasoned to perfection and did not disappoint. Staff was extremely kind with attentive service and the ambiance was inviting with many decorations. Hope to be back soon to try other things on the menu!

I had never tried poly food before so I was excited seeing what was on the menu. Poly is a small take-out spot but packs a BIG punch in terms of taste flavor and just feel-good comfort food. The New Zealand sausage is bomb. I also liked their chop suey, chicken curry, turkey tail and mussels. First time here so I was limited to what I could get. I liked this place so much I came back the next day. It was that good!!This spot is clean and cosey. The workers here are very nice and you can feel the love they put in the food. You just feel welcomed coming here to get great tasting food. I will try their meat pie next time since they run out quick. Thank you to my friend for introducing me to Polynesian food. This place is a gem and I wish there was one just like it near where I live in Anaheim. Thanks Poly. Now I need me a souvenir shirt.

This is our second time driving out to Poly. Grill &Bakery. Today we picked up some Turkey Tail, sausage. Corned beef, Taro in coconut milk and Sapa Sui. So good we forgot to get a picture. But we also ordered Half moon pies, Palusami, to pick up the next day Once we were there to pick up the items, we also tried the Pani Popo, Panikeke, and the Suafa'i. Can't say enough on how good they each tasted. My husband said each item was just like home cooking and for me it reminded me of visiting of our family gatherings. The location is easy to find. Not to far off the freeway. Once inside look over the prepared food and let them know is what you would like from the prepared food. We were thankful to meet Miracle, she was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable of each item we ordered. Next time you stop in, talk with the staff, let them show you all the choices.

Poly Grill is da bomb!! Wish they were closer so I can get me some delicious Samoan food. This hidden island gem is located on Carson St right by the 405 freeway. My favorite is the sapasui, povi, and palusami. No other place makes their palusami like Poly Grill!! The type of noodles they use makes the texture of the sapasui delish, and I can't find this noodle at any store!! The povi is so good and pairs extremely well w the creamy palusami. I don't really eat taro and banana but I like the way they make theirs!! Family owned and operated, very friendly and helpful. May be a bit pricey but then again so is everything else!! We've tried other Samoan food between LA, SD, & Riverside and Poly Grill is BY FAR THE BEST!!! They make fresh bread (unsliced) and it's so yummy!! Great half moon pies too!! Don't forget the traditional Anchor butter (imported from New Zealand) bc it's sooooo delish w the fresh warm bread!! Highly recommend if you're craving Samoan food. And I also like coming here bc it's a far drive and I love food ventures!!

The meat pie was 70% cheese & had meat with one mushroom in the filling. Most meat pies are 90% meat in New Zealand.

I know it's a small mom and pop bakery to probably cover their overhead, but their prices are pretty up there! They should sell them in smaller batches or more affordable options for buyers. Parking was easy, and when we walked in, there was only one occupied table. Three employees were chatting in the back. We were greeted, but it felt more like, "What would you like?" than "Welcome in." No smile, no conversation, no thank you--just a transaction. After taking our order, the employee returned to chatting with coworkers. When our order was ready, our name was called, the halo-halo was placed on the counter, and that was the end of the interaction. As for the halo-halo itself, my partner rated it a 2/10. It was overwhelmingly sweet and overpriced for what we received. We were hoping for layers of flavor and nostalgia but got a sugar rush that could probably power a small city. As a business owner myself, I understand that customer service is one of the biggest drivers of customer retention. Great products can bring people in once, but great service brings them back. Unfortunately, this visit missed the mark on both. The good news? These issues are fixable. A little more warmth, engagement, and hospitality would go a long way. Until then, we'll continue our search for our next favorite halo-halo spot.

Located in the quaint Bixby Knolls neighborhood of Long Beach, street parking was plentiful right outside the restaurant. We came around noon on Saturday, and thankfully despite their busy brunch rush we were seated immediately. Even though all of their seating is outdoors, tables are shaded by overhanging canopy and just added to the cute southern Italian bistro vibes of the place. The menu had a solid selection of both brunch and lunch items - I loved the Burrata di Campagna, which was flavorful with just the right amount of tart from the heirloom tomatoes. For my main meal I had to go with the Casarecce - one of their pastas that's made fresh in house daily. The braided pasta was wonderfully textured and soaked up all the pesto sauce without being overly oily, a perfect meal for a hot summer day. We finished our meal with a Nutella Croissant, from their artisan bakery that also makes their bread fresh every day. Perhaps I am a little biased, but the laminated dough was perfectly light and flaky, encasing a very generous filling of hazelnut chocolate cream. Our check at the end of the meal even came with a custom drawn postcard by one of the Nonna Mercato service staff - another present to add on to what was already a gift of a meal!

Charging someone after acknowledging a cancellation under those circumstances is unacceptable. This place clearly lacks the heart and humanity that a neighborhood business should have. I spoke with the restaurant manager Patrick after calling multiple times to speak with someone and he basically said he is not willing to refund the charge because they order food ahead of time.
