The poke was great. I got the ginger ahi and the spicy salmon (which was not very spicy). They were both fresh and flavorful. Unfortunately, everything else was really bad. The chicken looked like it was fried in the morning, cut into pieces, then refried in the afternoon. It was so dry, tough, hard, and inedible. I wish I had looked at it before leaving, because the meat was grey, and you can see that it was old jerky like chicken. Also, the rice had lots of old, hard pieces like it sat in the rice cooker for days. You can see in my pictures clumps of hard, brown rice pieces as well as the dry chicken. So sad since I saw the chicken picture here, and it looked nothing like what I got. read more

We were in Carson area and did not know what to expect but were pleasantly surprised by this spot's great combo deals and fish quality. The taste is better than the Americanized versions of poke. This place is awesome! Total hole in the wall vibe, it catches you off guard how good it is but don't be fooled, the poke is excellent! Reminded me of Foodland poke in Hawaii, which is incredibly hard to find on the mainland. My gf and I went here and the people who work here are so nice!! But finding this spot showed me where Manila Sunrise is and I love when the office caters their pancit! Nothing to rave about. I went with the cashier's recommendations. FYI: I bit into 4 bones in the salmon and this is why I couldn't finish my meal in fear that it was laced with bones. I hate to write such a low rated review but I have to stay honest. I wouldn't recommend this joint to anyone. It definitely did not have any good notes. And no, the bones weren't the only thing, it just really lacked flavor and no amount of shoyu could have saved the poke. For the $20~ I spent for one person.. not worth it at all. The whole atmosphere was just like home. The lady at the counter was nice the food the vibe everything about this place was 10 out of 10. The portions are big for 13 bucks. You get what you pay for and it ends up making you want more which is what I did. I got an ahi limu Poké bowl with rice with the toppings. I did seaweed I finished it in under three minutes went back in and ordered again. This place needs more recognition. And if you want a sweet treat, they're also doing an Ube with empanada or if you just want like regular ice cream they have a freezer that has multiple flavors. I saw one of them had mango. One of them had Ube and if you don't want to go to seafood city, they also sell some lumpia my overall verdict of this place 100% would come back. This is my new poke spot. read more

A newly opened Hawaiian-style poke with a Filipino influence. A small establishment, with a couple tables set up inside. I can imagine most of their business is take out. Food : They specialize in Hawaiian-style poke. I ordered the two flavors poke bowl with regular spicy tuna and with the ginger flavor over two scoops rice with furukaki. This is a big and heavy plate. The two flavors is big enough to share. The poke could use some work unfortunately. The spicy poke was too salty and too much sauce and not allowing the freshness of the tuna come through. Same with the ginger flavor except it was too sweet. They need to let the natural flavor of the tuna be the center and not be heavy of the sauce/flavors. Bonus points for free toppings: I had seaweed salad and ginger. Breakfast : Portuguese Sausage Breakfast with two eggs and rice. The Portuguese sausage was just too salty for my taste. Next time, I'll order longanisa instead. Three STARS for the service. The auntie that was at the counter was friendly, and warm. Also the portion size was very generous and the price is affordable. You get your money's worth. I used to go to another one nearby but they stopped selling ginger flavor, but this new spot has it, and it's delicious! I love their spicy mayo and ginger ahi! They marinate the poke so well and the flavors are amazing. Their food is reasonably priced, and it was $13.95 for their double flavor bowl and it comes with two toppings (choice of imitation crab, seaweed, or ginger). Most places don't offer additional toppings, so it was nice that it was included in the bowl. There's a couple tables inside if you want to sit and eat, but it's more of a grab and go place. The service was quick, and the owner was friendly when we spoke with her! Will definitely be back for my authentic Hawaiian poke cravings! read more

It's clean and free of clutter, but the TV was loud, especially for such a small space. I ordered the poke, and to my surprise the portion size was a lot bigger than I expected for the price. The rice, however, was cooked too dry and there were some hard bits. The quality of the fish and seasoning more than made up for the hard rice.
