Visited Nam Kitchen around 4pm on a Sunday and was able to get seated right away, which I'm thankful for because by the time we were finishing up, the restaurant had completely filled up and there was already a line forming outside. Would like to give this place a 3.5 stars if I could. Looked at the reviews and wanted to try here. Inside is clean and modern. Took us a bit to get seated as the hosts were talking to each other and didn't seem to notice us. Someone had to come and tell them we were waiting to be seated, even though we were standing right in front. We were seated at the booths and someone came right away to take our drinks. We ordered the oxtail fried rice, house chicken wings and the ribeye steak garlic noodles. Oxtail fried rice was really good and flavorful. There was also a good amount of oxtail meat. Kids really liked it too. The house fried chicken was also delicious. It was very crunchy on the outside, and juicy on the inside with great flavors and nice spice. Not sure if they forgot we ordered the ribeye steak garlic noodles, but it took a while to come and we had to remind someone that we ordered it. When it came out, it looked good, but noodles were very sweet and the steak (even though medium rare), was little overcooked and chewy. Probably would not order this again. My husband, his cousin, and I came to try Nam Kitchen since we saw it ranked #3 on Yelp's Top 100 Places To Eat. We got there around 11:30am on a Saturday and walked right in with no wait, which was a great start. The place was nice and spacious with great decor with lots of plants that gave it a really pleasant vibe. Drinks were a hit across the board - his cousin got the matcha coffee, I had the lychee peachee, and my husband ordered the june lemon and they were all really good! For appetizers, the house chicken wings were the standout and had a great texture from the crunch and flavors! The yuzu pepper pork cheek was good too, though it leaned a little salty toward the end. The golden pear salad wasn't bad, but the only thing is the pears came out pretty thick, and I think thinner slices would've made it even better. For mains, we shared the oxtail fried rice and the ribeye steak garlic noodles. The oxtail fried rice had a really flavorful sauce, though the rice itself came out a bit on the softer side. The ribeye steak garlic noodles were a bit of a mixed bag for us -- the garlic noodles were honestly great, but the steak had a texture that was a little chewier than expected. We came here based on a recommendation, and despite high expectations, we were not disappointed! NAM Kitchen is located inside a small plaza / strip mall. Note that parking can get pretty tricky if you don't come early as most of the parking in the surrounding area appears to be permit parking for the apartments and homes. Overall, the food and service were great. Also, the restaurant was clean, including the bathroom, which was a nice bonus. Portion sizes were reasonable which was nice for sharing. They came around often enough to clear the table and top off drinks, but not too often as to feel intrusive. * Pho: I've never seen this before, but they offered unlimited free noodle refills! It was a little chilly today so we decided to try NAM for the first time. Luckily we came early enough to find opened handicapped parking right in front of the door. Our server was polite and helped us navigate the menu. We started with two different beers. One from Vietnam and the other from Thailand. Both were lagers, so tasted similar and good. We shared a cucumber salad and then shared a filet mignon pho and a short rib pho. They were both good, but the broth was sweeter than we were used to. Dining room is clean and bright. They do have one women's restroom and one unisex restroom. The building isn't very old, so the restaurant is in good shape. The sweetness of the broth cost one star. I had the opportunity to visit when I had lunch with a friend and I'm proud to say that was one of my best lunch dates. Drinks - coco matcha and Vietnamese iced latte. I loved my matcha. I came here with my husband and mother-in-law after a long car ride on Mother's Day. It wasn't too crowded and we were seated right away. The parking lot is a little small and can get full when it's busy. Inside there are booths along the walls and multiple tables in the middle. The tables on the inside can be a little tight so I definitely prefer the booths. They have a couple TVs showing food blogs of places in Asia. The service is great. There isn't really one server per table so everyone is really helpful and you can ask anyone for anything. The food is so delicious here. Our table ordered two orders of ribeye steak with garlic noodles and a filet mignon pho. If you order a pho you get unlimited noodle refills. Since there are so many servers we accidentally ended up with 3 noodle refills but the servers let us have them all and didn't say anything about it. The pho broth is so flavorful and rich. It's the perfect warm comfort broth and the thinly sliced filet mignon was quality. I ordered the ribeye medium rare and it was perfect. It came out nice and hot and the outside was a little crispy with the inside still pink. It was tender with the perfect amount of flavorful fat. The noodles were super garlicky and savory with a few mushroom pieces throughout. I wish it stayed hot throughout the meal but there's not much they can do about that. I also wish the pho came out at the same time as the other dishes because we already ate one serving of the noodles before the other food even came out. I had a great experience at this Vietnamese-Peruvian fusion restaurant in Gardena! I visited with some friends for a weekend lunch and we enjoyed sharing their tasty and unique dishes. Going down the list of what I tried: - Lychee Peachee: Sweet and refreshing mocktail that paired well with the savory dishes. - Yuzu Pepper Pork Cheek: It was like candied pork coated in a citrusy sauce. - Truffle Fried Rice: One of my favorites here. The rice was perfectly moist, flavorful, and umami. I also liked the Chinese sausage and bacon which provided a nice meatiness to the dish. - Nui Xao Bo (Macaroni with Filet Mignon Beef): I really liked this dish as well. Why 5 stars? Because the Ribeye Steak Garlic Noodles was one of the best things I ate on my vacation. --- --- --- #3 on Yelp's Top 100 for 2026 and I'm soon taking a trip to the area? You can bet your life on that I was going to visit NAM Kitchen. I almost screwed it up though, as I'd eaten a pretty big, late lunch, and the only opportunity I had to visit NAM Kitchen was for an early dinner that same day. I was driving up from Orange County and headed to a Clippers game, and wasn't going to be able to make it before they closed if I tried post game. But because I am willing to make sacrifices for top 100 eateries, let alone top TEN eateries, I made it happen. As it turns out, the garlic noodles with steak were so utterly amazing that it wasn't even a challenge to eat every bite. Just a few days earlier, I'd had a $62 steak at a restaurant in Houston. And while the steak was enjoyable, I knew I could have bought a steak for $20, grilled it myself, and it would have just as good or better. Contrast that with the steak here, which was top notch, and for HALF the price, on top of a bed of delicious noodles. One caveat: when my wife and I were in Maui a few years ago, we had garlic noodles that were so utterly amazing and always order garlic noodles when we see them on any menu. Unfortunately, we have yet to find anything that comes close to the OG, so maybe we just got ruined by trying the most unique garlic noodles on Earth. But that aside, these noodles were still great and I enjoyed every second of the whole plate. WOW! I passed by this place 2 days ago and decided to look it up on yelp, I was so impressed by the reviews I had to come try it out. Plenty of parking but can definitely fill up quickly when busy! We were given our food almost immediately after ordering. They were good with water refills, noodle refills and getting our check as soon as we asked for it. The pho was AMAZING. Broth was rich and flavorful, noodles were al dente, came right out of the packaging for sure. The broth isnt as cilantro forward (which I loved) but if you like cilantro definitely add more. What an amazing find! My family and I were on our way home and came across this gem. It's located in a little business square with plenty of parking. I ordered my food to-go and it came out in a reasonable time. I found they also package the food well. No chance of any unwanted spills that I could tell. Brought our dog since they usually have an outside patio area set up, didn't with the wind this weekend so we got takeout. Would've ordered the Pho with unlimited noodles eating in, decided to get the next best looking offerings. The two best were the main plates, the Oxtail mixed rice and the Shrimp Garlic Noodles. I went to Gardena to check what the hype was about for this Peruvian Vietnamese restaurant. When I arrived the restaurant was pretty packed. They have a 4.8 star rating on Yelp and I can see why. Who needs to go to OC when Gardena is closer. When you walk in you will see a lot of hanging plants and many tables. We had to add our name to the waitlist as the restaurant was full. The line moved pretty quickly and before you know it we were seated. They have a good variety of items on their menu and I was able to try a few of them. I ordered the matcha coffee, short rib pho, lomo saltado, egg rolls, garlic noodles and truffle fried rice. Matcha coffee had bold, strong coffee flavor with a tasty matcha cream top. It was definitely well caffeinated. Short rib pho came with a huge bone and meat inside the bowl. The meat was tender and falls off the bone. The noodles were firm and the soup had a light sweetness. Lomo saltado was a little different here and I liked it. It had celery mixed into the beef, tomatoes, onions and French fries. It gave the dish more depth and textures. The green sauce had a nice kick as well. Egg rolls were standard. It has a good amount of filling and they're crispy. It also came with lettuce and herbs for you to wrap. Garlic noodles were al dente and the garlic and mushroom flavors were not lacking. Truffle fried rice is one of their newer items. I went to NAM as it showed up at on the Yelp 100 top restaurants in America. Since NAM is located in my neighborhood, I felt it would be a great opportunity to go try about. It turns out I went twice within one weekend since the Yelp 100 had made our local news channel. There were a lot of curious folks about wondering what it was, and they all wanted to go. The first night I went with Hubs. He ordered the short rib noodles, which was recommended to us by my son, who already had been to Nam. We ordered the short rib, noodles, I got these combo noodles, and we ordered the corn chowder, and also French fries. It was a lot - so much so that we had to take it home. The short rib bones were humongous. My beef combo was pretty standard but it was flavorful. The thing that we noticed the most was that the broth was a little bit on the sweeter side. For me, this wasn't a problem because I tend to like sweeter things. However, if your palate doesn't prefer that, then you might have a bit of an issue with it. The French fries were excellent. And the corn chowder was actually corn elote - that was really good, but we didn't eat that much of it because we were so full. It would have been better if we had only ordered one appetizer, not two. It's located in my neighborhood, and the cost was not as much as I would have expected for how well it's rated. Then the second time that I went, I went with a little bit of a larger group. We were able to be seated fairly quickly, and we ordered an assortment of food, including another round of noodles. But someone also ordered the Lomo saltado - it looked delicious, and also the reviews were really good. My family member that ordered that thought it was a great dish. I love the bright beautiful interior of Nam Kitchen. It's in a plaza with a bunch of other restaurants and shops but there was plenty of parking during lunch hours. The food and drinks were really yummy. I loved the mocktails, especially the June Lemon. It was refreshing and not too sweet. The combo of the yuzu lemon and peach puree were perfect. The lomo saltado is a classic must get dish for Vietnamese Peruvian food. The thick crispy fries with juicy tender beef and the spicy creamy aji verde - and Nam Kitchen does it right so you can't go wrong. The Cajun tiger prawns garlic noodles are also a classic. Yummy noodles coated in a garlic sauce with plump grilled prawns (and of course also served with that spicy creamy aji verde). What surprised me the most was one of their new menu offerings - the yuzu pepper pork cheek. It was so juicy and fatty yet flavorful at the same time and the combo of fatty peppery pork cheek with the bitter arugula and bright acidic lemon juice was one of my favorite bites! Also love the house-made chili sauce/chili oil if you like your food extra spicy like me. Service was also great, staff came to check on my table and refill our waters. I heard about NAM KITCHEN made it to number #3 on Yelp's 100 Top restaurants to eat 2026 . So I told my Son and Husband that we have to check them out. We were there to try their food, so I ordered a few: For our APPETIZER I ordered 3 appetizers: * SHRIMP Fresh Rolls * CRISPY ROLLS * YUZU PEPPER PORK For our ENTREES I ordered: * TIGER PRAWN GARLIC NOODLES * LOMO SALTADO * SALMON STEAK NOODLE * PHO MEATBALL SOUP For DESSERT: * FLAN All 3 of the Appetizers that we ordered were all good, but I really like the YUZU PEPPER PORK it's crispy on the outside and so tender inside, they were savory and citrusy, I really enjoyed this Pork Appetizer. My LYCHEE PEACHEE drink was very fruity, not too sweet, just a perfect fruit drink. My Husband's TIGER PRAW GARLIC NOODLES was also good, it came with big Shrimps and the noodles are very similar to something I eat called Pancit Canton, thats what it tastes like. My Sons SALMON STEAK NOODLE are also good, it's just that the Salmon was very Dry. I had LOMO SALTADO and PHO MEAT BALL . Their LOMO SALTADO was delicious!!! The meats were sooooo tender and flavorful ! With all the Fries that I ate when I ordered Lomo Saltado on other places, here is the only Place where the Fries in the Lomo Saltado were so so good, like the fries were not soggy, it was crispy and tasty! Now for my PHO MEATBALL soup, it says it has Free noodle refills, it's my first time to be in a restaurant with Free refills of noodles for their soup . Usually when I eat Soup I am more into the broth and not the noodles 'coz the taste is all in the broth. BUT here at NAM KITCHEN omg the Noodles in their Pho were so Tasty, in fact the noodles in their Pho soup caught my attention the most , it's so Fresh and the noodles were sooooo tasty! And the Truffle fried rice , its just okay . For dessert, it's a simple Flan, also delicious and the coffee flavor is on the Shave ice, so that's something new for me. The customer service is excellent here, anyone who approached our table was helpful, but our server was really great. I can tell that she enjoys her job 'coz I saw that she served every table well. And for Parking , it was easy for us to find in their area . I believe this is their first branch and they have another one that just opened up, but we decided to go here 'coz this location got RATED #3 in Yelp's Top 100 places to eat ! Will we go back ? Popular viet fusion place that blew up after it got ranked highly on Yelp. They don't have an online waitlist unfortunately. Casual dinner or lunch place. Service was very nice, the staff were attentive even though the place was busy. Everything we ordered came out pretty quickly, and was delicious. The flavors of the chicken wings and spicy wontons are interesting, still yummy but I wouldn't order again. When we had them for leftovers the next day, it tasted better since the sauce had more time to marinate. The only con is, I think they put quite a lot of msg in their food. Nam Kitchen was awarded #3 spot out of 100 for Top Restaurant in the USA on Yelp. Therefore, I had super high expectations. I honestly thought this place wouldnt meet my expectations since the bar is set high. But this place met and exceeded my expectations. Parking: This place shares parking space with couple stores and restaurants. Parking is horrible here. If you park along the colored curb, it's 30 min only. No idea how people can find parking here. Our group wanted to try out various dishes. Saw many people on Yelp order the oxtail fried rice. It's one of the best tasting fried rice I ever had. Also got the shrimp garlic noodles. I honestly didn't like that the shrimp had the shell and tail still attached. I had to use my hands to remove the shell and tail, it made my hands greasy. Otherwise it was super delicious! Cucumber salad and the shrimp spring rolls were just good. The matcha coffee I got was amazing! Overall, food tasted great and can't go wrong with anything. Staffs were friendly. They give discounts if you pay cash. They took off $4 off the bill so about 5%; which is what credit card companies typically charge. Interior is spacious and crowded. NAM Kitchen is one of my favorite spots I've recently visited. I brought my Vietnamese parents who were a bit skeptical at first since this is a fusion spot but the food was absolutely amazing and blew our expectations. The staff is super friendly and apologized for the long wait (it was only 15 minutes so not too bad). I ordered multiple items such as their lomo saltado, oxtail fried rice, and their new yuzu pepper pork cheek. You absolutely have to try their lomo saltado and their garlic noodles. Everything is so flavorful and savory it was delicious. I would highly recommend coming back here. The booth was nice and spacious and the seats were comfy. Even with a bunch of plates on the table I thought I had enough room to move around and never felt cramped. It's really nice here. read more

nam kitchen really hit the spot! we have been wanting to have pho so we got their pho short rib. The short rib meat was slipping off from the bone! The staff was also attentive and gave us extra broth refills, even after ordering broth to go (for our leftovers). We also tried the lomo saltado and cha gio. Both were tasty as well. The place was laid back with modern interior, very classy looking. This is a gem and we will surely be back for more. Thank you! read more
