Visited Nam Kitchen around 4pm on a Sunday and was able to get seated right away, which I'm thankful for because by the time we were finishing up, the restaurant had completely filled up and there was already a line forming outside. The staff was incredibly friendly, and all of the food was packed with flavor. My favorite dish by far was the lomo saltado. The steak was delicious, and the aji verde paired perfectly with both the fries and rice. I honestly wish there were even more Vietnamese fusion-style entrees on the menu because the lomo saltado was such a standout dish and made me want to try more creative fusion options from them!

We finally visited in Gardena! let me tell you, we were not disappointed! It was so amazing and great. The ambience was incredible and busy yet the service was fast and reliable. It actually surprised more than what we expected, everything was delicious, the service was on top and super friendly. And I am speechless when it comes to the food! even though I did not include pictures of the lomo saltado but instead included pictures of the salmon I have to tell you.. everything was amazing, each bite was delicious and I kept wanting more and more! It was so addictive. What we ordered: Nui Xao Bo June Lemon Salmon steak noodle Lychee Peachee Nam spicy Chili Wontons

My husband, his cousin, and I came to try Nam Kitchen since we saw it ranked #3 on Yelp's Top 100 Places To Eat. We got there around 11:30am on a Saturday and walked right in with no wait, which was a great start. The place was nice and spacious with great decor with lots of plants that gave it a really pleasant vibe. Drinks were a hit across the board - his cousin got the matcha coffee, I had the lychee peachee, and my husband ordered the june lemon and they were all really good! For appetizers, the house chicken wings were the standout and had a great texture from the crunch and flavors! The yuzu pepper pork cheek was good too, though it leaned a little salty toward the end. The golden pear salad wasn't bad, but the only thing is the pears came out pretty thick, and I think thinner slices would've made it even better. For mains, we shared the oxtail fried rice and the ribeye steak garlic noodles. The oxtail fried rice had a really flavorful sauce, though the rice itself came out a bit on the softer side. The ribeye steak garlic noodles were a bit of a mixed bag for us -- the garlic noodles were honestly great, but the steak had a texture that was a little chewier than expected. Service was great as they checked up on us frequently throughout the meal. Portions were huge so we walked out with plenty of leftovers, which is always a win. Worth a try - would come back to explore more of the menu :)

10/10 garlic noodles with shrimp 7/10 garlic noodles with beef (pho meat, not rib eye steak) 10/10 lomo saltado 8.5/10 oxtail fried rice 8/10 phó- good The garlic noodles are heavenly. One of the best lomo saltado's I have ever had, if they are consistent with meat portion. We tried the new Lomita location and it barely had any meat. Will keep going to this location instead. The garlic noodles with beef is kinda plain, they use the pho meat. No seasoning or anything on the meat, I prefer the steak, salmon or shrimp over it. Prices are reasonable for quality and quantity. Portions are huge, expect a wait it's popular for a reason.

We came here based on a recommendation, and despite high expectations, we were not disappointed! NAM Kitchen is located inside a small plaza / strip mall. Note that parking can get pretty tricky if you don't come early as most of the parking in the surrounding area appears to be permit parking for the apartments and homes. Overall, the food and service were great. Also, the restaurant was clean, including the bathroom, which was a nice bonus. Portion sizes were reasonable which was nice for sharing. They came around often enough to clear the table and top off drinks, but not too often as to feel intrusive. * Pho: I've never seen this before, but they offered unlimited free noodle refills! I definitely ate way too much pho * Ox tail fried rice: Delicious, nothing more to say * Fried crispy shrimp: So good that I ate every part of it (not sure if I was supposed to) * Beef filet: Tasty and cooked well, nice and tender; I would say a highly recommended dish to order * Cucumber salad: Nothing particular memorable, but tasty and refreshing * Chicken wings: Absolutely delicious, a must order * Garlic noodles: VERY strong garlic taste, which is great for a garlic lover like myself (also a bit greasy) The tables were a little close together, but I understand their desire to do this in order to maximize the number of customers they could serve. Also, even though there was a line outside by the time we left, we never felt rushed to eat.

It was a little chilly today so we decided to try NAM for the first time. Luckily we came early enough to find opened handicapped parking right in front of the door. Our server was polite and helped us navigate the menu. We started with two different beers. One from Vietnam and the other from Thailand. Both were lagers, so tasted similar and good. We shared a cucumber salad and then shared a filet mignon pho and a short rib pho. They were both good, but the broth was sweeter than we were used to. Dining room is clean and bright. They do have one women's restroom and one unisex restroom. The building isn't very old, so the restaurant is in good shape. The sweetness of the broth cost one star. I wonder if pho is regional like ramen in Japan? Each region has it's own taste profile.

The Pho here is great with the All You Can Eat AYCE Free UNLIMITED Complimentary NOODLE refills. Remember also, they will give you 5% off of your bill if you pay in cash money, not credit cards or digital ePayments, so you can roll that into subsidizing the food, tax and tip with a savings of 5% off. The service is friendly and I feel the sweet spot to come here on a weekend for dinner is 4pm or earlier to avoid the 30-45 min potential wait.

I wasn't surprised when NAM Kitchen was announced as one of yelp's 100 best places to eat. I had the opportunity to visit when I had lunch with a friend and I'm proud to say that was one of my best lunch dates. Drinks - coco matcha and Vietnamese iced latte. I loved my matcha. I didn't know that coconut water works great with matcha. Eats - Lomo Saltado, rib eye steak with noodles, and beef brisket pho. Who knew that I had the best Lomo Saltado here! I've had Lomo in several Peruvian restaurants but I had the best one here. Same is true with the ribeye steak with noodles. So tender, so juicy, so tasty. A must order. Pho which was their specialty was also really good. The place was very busy during lunchtime but service was really quick. I haven't gone back since yelp's announcement but I'm sure, it's gotten a lot busier.

Ribeye Steak Garlic Noodles: Savory, garlicky, and seriously addictive noodles. The Angus ribeye leaned a bit chewy and tough.

Even with less than an hour before closing, we walked into a full house and a crowd of waiters. That's usually a good sign and it definitely delivered! The service was amazing. Super friendly, high energy, and on top of everything. Even during the last call, the team made sure we were taken care of and not rushed. We lucked out with a cozy, spacious booth that made it easy to settle in and enjoy everything. Yuzu Pepper Pork: Thick, tender cuts of pork cheek with a bright citrusy glaze. The peppery, slightly bitter arugula cut through the richness. A well-balanced dish. Ribeye Steak Garlic Noodles: Savory, garlicky, and seriously addictive noodles. The Angus ribeye leaned a bit chewy and tough. We'd rather order the Plain Garlic Noodles. Pho Rib-Bone: Unlimited noodle refills? Say less! The noodles and 2 tender beef rib bones came swimming in a tasty broth. Definitely comforting. Would love to come back and try their House Chicken Wings :)

Every dish here is amazing. Personally my favorite is the ribeye garlic noodles, the steaks always cooked so good. Thought I try the pho this time and it did not let me down.

I came here with my husband and mother-in-law after a long car ride on Mother's Day. It wasn't too crowded and we were seated right away. The parking lot is a little small and can get full when it's busy. Inside there are booths along the walls and multiple tables in the middle. The tables on the inside can be a little tight so I definitely prefer the booths. They have a couple TVs showing food blogs of places in Asia. The service is great. There isn't really one server per table so everyone is really helpful and you can ask anyone for anything. The food is so delicious here. Our table ordered two orders of ribeye steak with garlic noodles and a filet mignon pho. If you order a pho you get unlimited noodle refills. Since there are so many servers we accidentally ended up with 3 noodle refills but the servers let us have them all and didn't say anything about it. The pho broth is so flavorful and rich. It's the perfect warm comfort broth and the thinly sliced filet mignon was quality. I ordered the ribeye medium rare and it was perfect. It came out nice and hot and the outside was a little crispy with the inside still pink. It was tender with the perfect amount of flavorful fat. The noodles were super garlicky and savory with a few mushroom pieces throughout. I wish it stayed hot throughout the meal but there's not much they can do about that. I also wish the pho came out at the same time as the other dishes because we already ate one serving of the noodles before the other food even came out. Other than that I loved everything about this place. I will definitely be back for more delicious food!

I had a great experience at this Vietnamese-Peruvian fusion restaurant in Gardena! I visited with some friends for a weekend lunch and we enjoyed sharing their tasty and unique dishes. Going down the list of what I tried: - Lychee Peachee: Sweet and refreshing mocktail that paired well with the savory dishes. - Yuzu Pepper Pork Cheek: It was like candied pork coated in a citrusy sauce. - Truffle Fried Rice: One of my favorites here. The rice was perfectly moist, flavorful, and umami. I also liked the Chinese sausage and bacon which provided a nice meatiness to the dish. - Nui Xao Bo (Macaroni with Filet Mignon Beef): I really liked this dish as well. It reminded me of a pasta version of lomo saltado with Vietnamese spices. I enjoyed the chewy macaroni and nicely cooked and tender filet mignon. - Pho Filet Mignon: The pho broth of this was good and I liked the tender and savory beef in the pho. The interior of this restaurant is beautiful and clean. It is a great spot for lunch/brunch with friends and family. The service here was great and all the servers were friendly and attentive. They also have free parking in the plaza shared with other businesses. Overall, I had a great experience here and would come back again!

Why 5 stars? Because the Ribeye Steak Garlic Noodles was one of the best things I ate on my vacation. --- --- --- #3 on Yelp's Top 100 for 2026 and I'm soon taking a trip to the area? You can bet your life on that I was going to visit NAM Kitchen. I almost screwed it up though, as I'd eaten a pretty big, late lunch, and the only opportunity I had to visit NAM Kitchen was for an early dinner that same day. I was driving up from Orange County and headed to a Clippers game, and wasn't going to be able to make it before they closed if I tried post game. But because I am willing to make sacrifices for top 100 eateries, let alone top TEN eateries, I made it happen. As it turns out, the garlic noodles with steak were so utterly amazing that it wasn't even a challenge to eat every bite. Just a few days earlier, I'd had a $62 steak at a restaurant in Houston. And while the steak was enjoyable, I knew I could have bought a steak for $20, grilled it myself, and it would have just as good or better. Contrast that with the steak here, which was top notch, and for HALF the price, on top of a bed of delicious noodles. One caveat: when my wife and I were in Maui a few years ago, we had garlic noodles that were so utterly amazing and always order garlic noodles when we see them on any menu. Unfortunately, we have yet to find anything that comes close to the OG, so maybe we just got ruined by trying the most unique garlic noodles on Earth. But that aside, these noodles were still great and I enjoyed every second of the whole plate. I also really dug my strawberry fizz, which was just sparkling water with strawberry puree: a genius idea. #3 for good reason!

As soon as we entered we saw a sign saying you had to pay before being seated. Red flag!! Paying before you even had a taste of the food rang alarms in my head. Asking for a tip before service has even been rendered is the most ridiculous thing ever. Alot of places do this and it needs to be changed. Tip after services have been rendered. The workers here at least the 4 that I saw were all extremely young. They looked like they all belong in high school. They were very slow in anything they did. During my whole time here I the resturant the phone kept going off and they ignored it quite a few times. The inside of the resturant nice and clean, no complaints from me. My wife used their bathroom but the door did not lock so I had to stand outside which is annoying and not suitable for any ladies wanting to use the restroom. The food took quite a long time to come out. We sat down for awhile before the appetizers came out. 2 of us got the pho lunch special and it comes with a fried veggie eggroll. It took 15 minutes just to get 2 veggie spring rolls which were fresh and hot. When taking a bite out of them the inside was just mushy veggies and tasted like they were soaked in soy sauce. Then the spring rolls came out and they looked ok. After tasting they were decent. My only complaint about them is there wasn't enough peanut sauce, just a little dish not enough for all of our rolls. My wife ordered the combination fried rice. It came and it looked nice and hot. Upon tasting it for myself it tasted extremely salty. The proteins in it (Chinese sausage, shrimp, chicken) were almost inedible with the exception of the Chinese sausage. The shrimp was extremely over cooked and the chicken was cut thin and wide, like jerky and was just as dry as jerky. My FIL and I ordered the combination pho. The pho was extremely lackluster and was missing some components commonly in combo pho (pho dac biet) it was missing tendon, flank and meatballs (sometimes not always in pho dac biet) The meat to noodle ratio is extremely terrible, had at least 8 bites of noodles left and no more meat. The broth was so bland no flavor at all except for the over abundance of sweetness from the sugar. Being part vietnamese myself I love alot of pho whether its super delicious or just ok. This pho is not even in the "just ok" realm its terrible, its a disgrace to pho everywhere. Even if you are the type to put Hoison/Sriracha in the broth it will not save it. FIL says this place uses to be good but I guess things have changed since his last visit all those years ago. You could pick almost any other pho restaurant and I am 99.99% sure it would be better than here. If you value your time, money, and taste buds please stay clear of this place by any means necessary.
