We've come here maybe 8 times now. We've tried some other pho places in Gardena/Torrance. Idk man. 3.7 stars overall sounds fair to me. But it's still my favorite bowl of pho in the South Bay (so far). Disclaimer, I've only ever gotten their pho and nothing else. Their water tastes like they sourced it from a stainless steel bowl. Their silverware needs a wipe down before eating. But their pho is one we come back to. Maybe it's the water and the silverware that help build the flavor. Came here late at night because it was one of the only spots open and the pho pictures looked good... big mistake. Ordered two spicy pho soups and pork egg rolls. The pho had ZERO flavor, and the egg rolls were burnt. Even my Arnold Palmer wasn't good, which says a lot. Bill came out to $80 for food that wasn't worth it at all. Service was just as disappointing--they barely checked on us but still expected a tip. Honestly, I don't recommend this place. No offense, but it's a little hard for me to see a reason to come back when Nam Kitchen is only seven minutes away. The pho broth was the biggest disappointment for me. A good pho soup should be rich enough that you want to keep sipping it even after the noodles are gone. This one tasted very thin, almost like an instant broth with salt and pepper added. It could really use more depth and richness, like letting the broth develop longer with the meat and aromatics. The meat and noodles themselves were fine but nothing memorable, maybe slightly below what I expected. My friend ordered a noodle dish and mentioned it leaned heavily sweet and salty, almost syrupy. He also got a side of orange chicken, which ended up being disappointing in both texture and taste, and he regretted ordering the extra. The one thing this place does well is presentation. 1st time visit Pho Daily in Gardena. The food was ok, I had better, but beware of EXTRA changes. I ordered pho combo, it came with almost No soup in the bowl. So, I asked for extra soup (I have to flagged the waitress there twice before I get my extra soup). Here's the kicker, that extra soup Costs me $4.50 PLUS tax and tip!! Unfortunately disappointed. Would never come back here if I was craving a bánh mì. Although the flavors of the meat itself was very good, the bánh mì itself was not good. The bread was too soft. The pickled carrot and daikon had no flavor. Instead of Vietnamese mayo, they used American mayo which threw off the taste. The size was also very small for the cost. If you are Vietnamese or have had an authentic bánh mì then this spot will disappoint you. However, the service was good, I was seated quickly and the workers were friendly. I was not familiar with the area it is located in, but the shopping center was very busy considering the time of night. There were other businesses open late too. I tried a chicken dish and boba while my friends all ordered Pho. We were all very satisfied with our choices. We hung out and chatted for at least an hour post meal and the staff didn't mind. I came in on a weekday night. It was the only pho place open after 9 p.m., so it was pretty busy. I waited for more than 10 minutes to have the food ordered. The spring rolls came with two per order. With the price, I would expect more ingredients inside. We all had the combo pho. The meat was fine, but the noodles got all stacked together, and it took me a while to separate them. I would say the pho here is solid, especially for being one of the few places open late in the area and if you are looking for something warm and comforting. I would note though, that I came here with a couple of friends after a gathering on a holiday evening, so it would explain why the place was so crowded that night. I'm guessing the place didn't expect as much people in one night especially on a Sunday so it seems like they were a little overwhelmed. I work late and get off of work late and was hoping to get something to eat. On the website the restaurant states that it closes at 2 am. I'm excited that there is a an Asian restaurant that closes late . I call Pho Daily at 1:25 am to do a preorder before arriving. Nobody answers. I call again about 4 times. Again no answer. I arrived at 1:32 am at the door and see three Hispanics sitting there and starred at me. Making eye contact and laughed at me. Looks like they were folding utensils in a napkin. It wasn't like I had a big order or it was 5 mins before closing . It was 1:32 am. If you state that you close at 2 am then please let your lazy employees know to stay open till the restaurant closes at 2 am . This is what your hours of operations say. . I like their Pho a lot. I always order the large bowl with steamed shrimp or the steak or pork. They give you a plate of add-ons with bean sprouts, sliced jalepenos, and thai basil. I also order garlic noodles with chicken and the rocket shrimp. Service is always good and attentive. There are a variety of dishes to try on the menu. I've came to this restaurant a couple times, never had a problem until today. Servers served our pho to the wrong table, placed each bowl infront of a customer (two of them had facial hair) after the customers realized it wasn't theirs the waiters discussed who's food it might be while leaving the food infront of the wrong customers instead of removing it right away. It was really disturbing watching our food infront of other people as they played with their facial hair on top of the bowls. Waiters then grabbed the bowls and brought them to us. I did not have the courage to say it disturbed me but as a food establishment they should've known that was not right. Anyways couldn't eat my food comfortably after that. The broth was only warm and it did not even soften the noodles. I ate the bowl with semi-hard noodles. I was so hungry and could only eat half the bowl because it was just not appetizing. I ate the meat because it was decent. The price is way more expensive compared to other locations near there. Seventeen dollars for a small bowl of pho is overpriced.
