Delicious food. Authentic. Plenty of parking. It's air conditioned inside. Service is fast with food coming out in less than 10 minutes. A great place for Vietnamese food.

    A5 Banh Beo Chen $13.95 for 12 - Pho Hue Oi 4/2025
    Vivian C.

We came to Pho Hue Oi for lunch on a Friday and made it in for the first seating. Since we were large enough a group, we were excited to try the Banh Beo Chen appetizer, as it came with 12 portions, so not the thing to get when you are there solo for a work day lunch break (for you, there are counter seats available if you would prefer that over sitting at a table), or there on a date (so just the two of you). A5 Banh Beo Chen (12) $13.95 Steamed rice cakes topped with ground shrimp, green onions, fried shallot, and fried pork skin (pork rinds) Pork rinds! Yum! Add some of the fish sauce it comes with, use your spoon to scrape it out of the dish it was steamed in, and enjoy the textural and taste differences in a single mouthful. For my entree, I went with the B6 Bun Tom Thit Nuong Cha Gio $15.50 Grilled pork, shrimp & an egg roll because I like variety, and fried eggrolls. It was a good lunch!

Food: 5/5 Bhan mi sandwich was the best. Fresh, meaty, lots of jalapeños. Nice crunch from the baguette! Definitely coming back to try the others. The grill pork was delicious! Service: 4/5 Staff is nice and quick. Perfect lunch location. Ambience: 4/5 Good size, sometimes there could be a line during rush hour.

Decent Vietnamese spot. Service was fast. Wasn't a huge fan of the pho, brisket was very fatty and hard to chew. Bun thit nguon was okay the combo came with two small shrimps and an egg roll. Portion ratio was crazy - very little protein, my bowl was 80% vermicelli, wilted lettuce and bean sprouts.

Loved my meal here, was very authentic, quick service, and delicious. Definitely recommend! I love coming down to lawndale for good Asian eats and will be back! Very affordable as well!

We got discharge from the hospital this morning and finally got out at noon, we are super hungry. We happily got to this Vietnamese pho Huế oi and ordered bún bò Huế with pork leg super hairy. We lost the appetite...and the owner 'về told us sometime they have hair and sometimes not....

I went for the cold cut Vietnamese sandwich(Bahn Mi), and it definitely didn't disappoint. I also tried the pho, which was decent. Overall, a solid spot to grab a meal.

Good reviews usually get me in the door, but when a local points me somewhere...that's when it becomes a must-try. This spot is always buzzing, but not in an overwhelming way. The food feels real, not the watered-down version you find everywhere. The broth, that's my authenticity test and here it's absolutely next level. Deep, rich, legit. Everything else on the menu? Just icing on the cake.

I've dined here a couple times now and it's pretty solid. We ordered: - Thai tea - banh mi - rice plate with grilled pork - pho It's a small restaurant space inside so there is typically a wait where you write your name down on the paper outside, but luckily every time I've dined in I haven't had to wait very long. The service is also very quick, which I love!

    Bahn beo are SO good.

I'm going to go ahead and do the thing that might get me into the hot seat, but I'm calling Pho Hue Oi for the best bowl of pho in southern CA. The broth is to fucking DIE for. It's neither too rich nor too light. The star anise and spices don't overpower the beefiness of the broth--something that happens far too often in LA and Orange County pho. Plus it's well balanced and neither too sweet nor too fish saucy. So good. Plus they slice their onion thin enough that they can match the noodles in consistency, so you get some in every bite without it being too oniony or not oniony enough. They've got it DOWN. Such a beautiful thing, this bowl. Absolute magical alchemy in this dish!!

Nope. Garlic noodles have to be one of the easiest things to make. Apparently not here. Called a side of spaghetti and stop playing with my emotions. Very disappointed in the lack of Saigon flavor in the entrees that arent PHO. Boooooo

Food is okay. Iced Thai tea is good. But the owner (30-40 yrs old dude) I think is mean and rude. Waiters are friendly tho don't get me wrong. Just definitely not the owner or whatever his position is. I been here four times, and have the worst experience when the owner is here. Please be aware when you visit here :)

My dramatic self stopped the employee to tell him how long it's been since I've had a Bo Kho that reminded me of home. Although it was sweeter than what I'm used to, it was still delicious. I was lucky enough to come in on a Saturday when the Banh Xeo was available. The crepe was light and crispy (now this dish I'm actually used to being a bit sweeter) but the nuoc mam really balanced everything out. My husband ordered the grilled pork chop with rice, and they were happy to swap out the shredded pork for a fried egg. We also shared an order of shrimp cakes to start. Little Sister excelled at bold tastes and textures through a Vietnamese fusion lens. The papaya salad was bursting with flavor and crunch from the candied shrimp and roasted peanuts. The Shorty offered a mix of umami and sweetness from the braised short rib. The dessert, a Vietnamese coffee custard, was divine. We left feeling stuffed and with leftovers. Their cocktail list is also full of unique selections. I opted for the Kennedy, a vodka-based drink with passion fruit liqueur, pineapple, lime, and egg white. It was very well-balanced while also quite strong. My partner got the XO, Little Sister's version of an old fashioned. The blend of citrus and spices was really pleasant. As soon as we entered we saw a sign saying you had to pay before being seated. Red flag!! Paying before you even had a taste of the food rang alarms in my head. Asking for a tip before service has even been rendered is the most ridiculous thing ever. Alot of places do this and it needs to be changed. Tip after services have been rendered. The workers here at least the 4 that I saw were all extremely young. They looked like they all belong in high school. They were very slow in anything they did. During my whole time here I the resturant the phone kept going off and they ignored it quite a few times. The inside of the resturant nice and clean, no complaints from me. My wife used their bathroom but the door did not lock so I had to stand outside which is annoying and not suitable for any ladies wanting to use the restroom. The food took quite a long time to come out. We sat down for awhile before the appetizers came out. 2 of us got the pho lunch special and it comes with a fried veggie eggroll. It took 15 minutes just to get 2 veggie spring rolls which were fresh and hot. When taking a bite out of them the inside was just mushy veggies and tasted like they were soaked in soy sauce. Then the spring rolls came out and they looked ok. After tasting they were decent. My only complaint about them is there wasn't enough peanut sauce, just a little dish not enough for all of our rolls. My wife ordered the combination fried rice. It came and it looked nice and hot. Upon tasting it for myself it tasted extremely salty. The proteins in it (Chinese sausage, shrimp, chicken) were almost inedible with the exception of the Chinese sausage. The shrimp was extremely over cooked and the chicken was cut thin and wide, like jerky and was just as dry as jerky. My FIL and I ordered the combination pho. The pho was extremely lackluster and was missing some components commonly in combo pho (pho dac biet) it was missing tendon, flank and meatballs (sometimes not always in pho dac biet) The meat to noodle ratio is extremely terrible, had at least 8 bites of noodles left and no more meat. The broth was so bland no flavor at all except for the over abundance of sweetness from the sugar. Being part vietnamese myself I love alot of pho whether its super delicious or just ok. This pho is not even in the "just ok" realm its terrible, its a disgrace to pho everywhere. Even if you are the type to put Hoison/Sriracha in the broth it will not save it. FIL says this place uses to be good but I guess things have changed since his last visit all those years ago. You could pick almost any other pho restaurant and I am 99.99% sure it would be better than here. If you value your time, money, and taste buds please stay clear of this place by any means necessary.

Add good company and a vibe that feels both elevated and effortless, and suddenly you're staying way longer than planned. The staff is always on point--attentive, friendly, never rushed. It's the kind of spot that feels like a hidden gem even if it's in your regular rotation. I am a little bummed they're no longer open for weekday lunch (my solo ramen therapy sessions will have to be weekend-only now), but the food and the energy are still top-tier. Ayan continues to be one of my favorite places to eat, drink, and feel like a local.

I would not come back here…read more The food servings did not match the cost of what I ordered, for what my mother-in-law ordered, and for what my sister-in-law ordered. My fiancé's Genghis Khan Ramen tasted like canned chicken soup. As I finished pouring the pitcher of water into my glass cup, I noticed some black sediment pour out, disgusting! We told the waitress about it and all she came up with was that it might be the dust looming over our table that fell down. The servers don't actually come by and check on you. You have to ring a bell for them to come by and see how things are going. We ordered 6 different meals and each meal arrived at random times. So as I was already halfway through my meal, my partner then had received hers and that same momentum is was carried on until the last person's order was delivered to our table. I didn't understand what the concept was. it feels like it's an Asian restaurant, but then there were these multiple big screen t.v.'s playing highlights of baseball. Is this supposed to be a sports bar?? The food was 3/10 The water was -1/10 The service was 3/10 The ambiance was 2/10 Not coming back here again.
