Brisket and Filet Mignon Pho and Milk tea
Ryan C.

I went here after a long 5 hour road trip and really only ate jerky while in the car, so I was definitely hungry. It was my first time here, and I heard it was a pretty new addition to the area. I am usually not the biggest fan of pho but can appreciate a good one. I ended up ordering a pho with fillet mignon and brisket alongside a milk tea with no boba. Getting the pho, I was surprised at how big the bowl was; it came with plenty of noodles and meat and was very filling as a meal. The pho was very clean tasting and flavorful and was exactly what I would want in a pho. The milk tea was also a great addition on the hot day and a nice palate cleanser for the pho. The ambiance was nice with floor to ceiling windows that lit up the dining room, and there were plenty of tables to sit at. Ordering with the waiter was easy, and it was like the typical Vietnamese restaurant with the different combos consisting of letters and a number. Overall, it was a great experience and will probably be my go-to pho place in the South Bay!

Bun Bo Hue
Nhi T.

I came here on a Thursday night around 7:30 pm. There were lots of table available. Decor was simple and clean. Service was quick and friendly. I ordered the Bun Bo Hue, as I am often trying to find a good place for this in the South Bay. I wouldn't say the flavor is authentic, since it didn't have the blood pudding or the pork hock. But the flavor was good. I will likely come back and try the pho, since it's called Pho South Bay.

Returned again but tried different dishes! Their parking lot was pretty full this time but we still found a spot and were seated right away. Ambiance was busy but still clean and attentive staff. We tried their vermicelli dishes, the lemongrass chicken, grilled pork, egg roll, and grilled shrimp. For $17, the portion isn't bad but could have more meat. No complaints on the taste- everything was delicious.

Beef ball pho with a side of tendon

Love this new place. Sits right across from Target so I can do my girl run and get something good to eat. I usually get their pho with meatballs and tendon. It's a great custom combo. I ordered their com suon nuong to go which is their grilled pork chops and broken rice. HUGE portion and very tasty. Rice was delicious. Bathroom has pretty blue marbled walls and very Zen. I'm a sucker for trendy bathrooms. Clean. I pray this new business continues to thrive. Excellent service and cute, casual date night ambiance.

So delicious

Pho South Bay is the kind of place that reminds you life isn't so bad, because even if everything else is chaotic, at least your pho is consistent, your rice is garlicky, and your egg rolls are crispy enough to heal emotional damage. The service here is smoother than your last situationship escape. Friendly, fast, and on‑point, they take your order, bring your food. It's hospitality with main‑character energy. You can't come here and not get pho, that's basically illegal. The broth is rich, aromatic, and tastes like it's been simmering since the early 2000s. Every bowl hits with that comforting, soul‑warming flavor that makes you rethink all your life choices and decide you're actually doing great. The Noodles are Silky. The herbs are fresh, and the portions are very Generous, enough to make you question if they're trying to adopt you. The spring egg rolls come out crispy. Golden, crunchy, and packed with flavor, the kind of appetizer you promise to "just have one" and suddenly you're inhaling the whole plate like a vacuum. No crumbs left. No regrets. The garlic fried rice is dangerous. It's fluffy, fragrant, and so good it should come with a warning label. You'll be halfway through the plate thinking, "I could live off this." Honestly, if they sold it by the gallon, you'd consider it. The place is very Clean, welcoming, and chill, the kind of place where you walk in and instantly feel safe, like your stomach is about to be blessed. Bright, tidy, and comfortable without trying too hard. It's giving: "Come in, eat well, and forget your problems for 45 minutes." This place serves comfort, flavor, and good vibes all in one stop. Great service, crispy egg rolls, addictive garlic fried rice, and pho bowls that hit you right in the feelings. It's the kind of spot you leave saying, "Yeah... we're definitely coming back." Miguel C.

Short Rib pho
John T.

Total rating 4.5 Ordered Short Rib Pho Output time -5 minutes Price Taste 4/5 The broth is a little too sweet for my taste buds. I just wish there was black pepper provided along the condiment section which would have definitely make the pho better IMHO. Quality on freshness - The basils were great as no signs of wilting. Portions- You get ton of noodles as I couldn't finish all of them. The beef ribs were not tough at all. They have scissors upon request. Service 5/5 Staff are courteous Environment - casual and overall very well kept. Would definitely try other menu items when back.

Brisket pho and Thai ice tea

First thing you feel is the beauty of the pho dining room experience ...when you walk in the door the Fresh food and ready to serve. The food is classic and delicious ,pho was my first choice , great broth lots of noodles and excellent Brisket . The menu is varied and authentic lots of choices and great quality. The oxtail looks great and the egg rolls outstanding too. Thai ice tea is also great. The combo dishes are outstanding too .great new place to go so gear up and try this little gem out .

Eggrolls
April V.

The portions are great and the staff is friendly. Everything tasted fresh Came a few weeks ago and ordered pho, garlic noodles with beef, and egg rolls The garlic noodles with beef was okay, there wasn't much flavor in the garlic noodles but the beef was good. The pho tasted fresh but had a strong cinnamon punch at the end which I didn't prefer. Overall still good

Grilled pork chop
Julia H.

Came here during soft open. Got the following items. 1. P9-Pho with brisket, filet mignon, and tripe: Nice flavorful broth. Comes with a lot of noodles and enough meat. 2. C3-Grilled pork chop with rice: Pork wasn't tough and had good flavor. Liked the pickled vegetables. 3. A2-Shrimp spring roll: Rolls were a good size and the peanut dipping sauce wasn't too thick and had enough sweetness. 4. A10-Fried wonton: very crispy with a lot of meat. Flavor of the meat and the sauce was not to my taste 5. N4-Seafood noodle soup: light broth. I think I've had better version of this soup elsewhere 6. C7-Rice with shaken beef filet mignon: Tender meat with good seasoning. Took about 10-15 minutes for take out. Everything way packaged well. Would come back for the Pho, spring roll, grilled pork chop and the rice with filet mignon. Overall 4.25.

Bun Bo Hue

Another new solid pho restaurant in the South Bay! +located in the small plaza across from Target in Redondo beach blvd--it took over Miyabi uni. Small parking lot is available +service was good--Al the staff were nice. Not sure if it's because it's opening day but they have chilled bottled water if you ask for water. You might have to wait a bit to get your food but we went in soft opening day so it's understandable that wait time is long since they're trying to figure out logistics. +food was solid! Both my mom and my boyfriend's pho was good. The broth had hint of sweetness but the soup was really broth-y and had depth to it. My mom wanted to highlight that her shrimp pho had deveined shrimps, which she really appreciated. I also liked my BBH--the broth for BBH was also hearty and I would say it's one of my favorite BBH broth in South Bay. -the only critique I had was my BBH noodles. The noodle wasn't absorbing the broth--the noodles needs to be dried out a bit after it's boiled so the noodles can absorb the broth when it's served. Hopefully they can adjust it next time!

Soft openings are usually a gamble, but Pho Southbay hit the ground running at a full sprint. The Food: The broth is incredible remarkably clean, deeply complex and packed with rich flavor. The meats are premium and melt-in-your-mouth tender, and the herbs are perfectly fresh. The Vegetarian Options (Insider Tip!): They actually offer 100% vegetarian pho and other vegetarian plates. They aren't printed on the menu yet, so just ask your server, they'll take care of you. The Service: Flawless and super attentive. The team is welcoming and sharp, hitting their stride right out of the gate. The Vibe: Spotless. The space is immaculately clean, bright, and really comfortable. The Perks: Parking is a breeze, which is a massive plus for the area. Pho Southbay is exceptional by any standard. Bonus: they're currently offering 10% off for their soft opening. Get here before the lines wrap around the block.

Incredible, super clean, restroom super nice and clean. Very welcoming hosts. Food is amazing, the filet mignon Pho is a chefs kiss.

I had the shrimp pho and it was just as you'd expect with breath flavor in the broth and noodles for days! I also got the shrimp spring rolls and the peanut sauce that comes with it is BOMB! The atmosphere is as you'd expect from most pho places. No frills but there's a lot of seating which is needed because the evening I went it was packed and it was a weekday evening. Some things to note: you pay at the cashier station in from after you're finished so no need to wait for the waiters to come and bring a check! ALSO there's technically a discount if you pay cash but I imagine they're just charging the customers for the charge or fees they get for using credit/debit services and obviously you don't pay that percentage if you pay cash, but can't be too sure on that. But being cash if you have it!

Everything was ordered EXTRA SPICY -- Level 5 through the online menu. When we got home, we took our first bites and immediately thought, "Wait... did they give us someone else's food?" No spice. Zero. Barely any flavor at all. This wasn't Level 5. This wasn't Level 1. This was apparently Level 0: Thai food for people who are afraid of black pepper. So we called the restaurant. The woman who answered told us, incredibly confidently, that they don't make their food spicy. Excuse me... what? This is a Thai restaurant. We have ordered spicy food from Swan Thai before. And, more importantly, your own online ordering system literally has spice levels, including Level 5. So either the online menu is completely meaningless, or someone in the restaurant has decided that customers no longer deserve to know what they're ordering. We asked to speak with a manager. Apparently, there was no manager. We asked for the owner. We were told the owners "come and go as they want." So who exactly is running this place? Is it just a group project where everyone shows up, does whatever they want, and hopes nobody asks questions? The food was so bland and disappointing that we barely ate it. And honestly, after the ridiculous phone conversation, we didn't even have much interest in finishing it. What makes this worse is that I used to like Swan Thai. That's why this was so disappointing. Restaurants can have an off day, but when the food is wrong, the online menu contradicts what an employee tells you, and there apparently isn't even a manager available to address the issue, that's more than an off day. Swan Thai, you used to be much better. Somewhere along the way, the food lost its flavor and the customer service apparently lost its direction. I won't be making the mistake of ordering here again.

Okay, I need to talk about Pho Ever Bistro for a second…read more The second you walk in, Sandy (the new owner) greets you like you've been coming here for years, even if it's your first time. She's just... warm. Genuinely warm, not in that scripted-server way. She checks in, remembers little things, actually recommends stuff she thinks you'll like instead of just pointing at the menu. It's the kind of energy that makes a random Tuesday dinner feel like something. And then there's the food, which honestly holds its own. The pho broth tastes like it's been simmering all day -- rich, deep, the kind of thing you can tell someone actually cared about. Noodles are perfectly cooked, herbs are fresh, portions are big enough that you're not leaving hungry. The banh mi is crunchy bread done right, none of that soggy sadness you get elsewhere. Spring rolls and egg rolls are crispy and clearly made fresh, not just tossed in a fryer and forgotten. Honestly it tastes like someone's grandma's recipe -- comforting, no gimmicks, just good. Here's the thing though -- this place works for basically everyone. If you're a broke college student who wants something warm and filling that won't destroy your wallet, this is it. And it's not just a grab-and-go spot either -- they've got board games, the vibe is relaxed, and it's genuinely a great place to camp out with your laptop and a drink to get some studying done, or just hang with friends for a while. Nobody's rushing you out. It's also a really solid first date spot, low-key enough that you're not stressed, with food you can share so you have something to talk about besides "so... tell me about yourself." And if you grew up eating Vietnamese home cooking, or just want that feeling, this scratches the itch in a way a lot of places don't. But really, what makes this place special isn't just the food -- it's that you can tell Sandy actually cares. In a world where eating out can feel so transactional, that kind of warmth stands out. You leave feeling like you mattered, not just like you were a transaction. If you're a student needing a spot to study or unwind, on a first date, or just craving something that feels like home, go check out Pho Ever Bistro. Sandy's turned this place into somewhere you actually want to come back to. Good for: studying/hanging out, first dates, comfort food cravings, board games, family dinners, or just being around someone who's genuinely happy to see you.

The pho broth has a really great balance of flavors and the ingredients in the spring rolls are so fresh, they are really beautiful and lovely to eat. The highlight for me was the salty plum drink. Reminds me of Japanese ume candy, Hawaiian li hing mui, and Mexican saladitos in drink form. Refreshing and addicting. If you are obsessed with the salt or tajin rim on a fruity margarita, consider trying it. (Next time, I'll have to get a salty plum to-go and turn it into a margarita at home. She also never came back to check on us or make sure everything was okay, which I found a little odd since that's pretty standard at most restaurants. Eventually, I made eye contact with another waiter and let him know about the mix-up. Overall, the service was pretty mediocre. The restrooms also could've used some attention, they weren't very well kept and were pretty messy. As for the pho itself, I'd give it a solid 6.5/10.
