Unwrapped take out pho
Tony F.

The place has changed hands a while ago, yet, it still has the same good tastes, and fast and responsive service. I had the #1 Pho Special, generous amount of food with a variety of different kinds of meat. My wife opted for the dry vermicelli with shrimp and it was good. Our daughter had the BBQ Beef rice plate and she finished everything. We also shared the fried egg rolls, I loved to wrap them with the lettuce and dipped them into the special sauce, crunchy and tasty!

Walked into the place as we were in the neighborhood and were starving. I am not a massive pho fan, so i ended up going with fried rice and BBQ meat (which was pretty tasty in the standard can you go wrong with asian food kind of way). Hubs ordered the Beef Pho which he greatly enjoyed and is now upset that I have kept him away from this dish for years. (Coz I just don't like pho, we rarely ever get Vietnamese food!). Since we enjoyed this experience, I am in the mood to try other restaurants in the Torrance, Redondo area. And yes, service was super quick and staff was really nice. Totally recommend the place, though am not the best judge on the food!

Great little pho place with classic flavors. This is on my wife and my rotation of go to restaurants when we don't want to think and just want consistent, good food. I usually get the large pho with brisket and steak and never leave disappointed. I wish they put just a bit more noodles in the soup, I always leave satisfied but not completely stuffed. The pho comes out hot and fresh and we never have to wait long. It tastes like the classic pho that you've probably grown up eating. Worth a stop if you're in the area

Number 5 large pho with extra side of noodles. Perfect for a cold rainy day.

Perfect for a cold rainy day. Got the #5 with extra side of noodles. Been coming here for a long time and they're just consistently good. Pretty straightforward and simple. As well as their service.

Food was amazing and the service was polite and quick and the ambiance was perfect and quant, small quiet and relaxing.

My family and I have been going here for over 10 years. It's one of our absolute favorite places. The service is quick and the owner is always very kind to us. The food is great and I will forever and always recommend getting the coconut water - it's so good! If you're looking for a quick and tasty meal this is the place for you!

Underrated restaurant that deserves the recognition it deserves! We came here for lunch on a soup kind of day and it did not disappoint. We both ordered their pho each and a Thai tea to share. The pho broth was HOT (just how I like it) and perfectly made. It was very clean and flavorful; it's not overly rich with different flavor profiles like other places. It's also not fattening like other places either. If I wanted a good bowl of pho, this is definitely my go to place from now on. The Thai tea was also on point- you can actually taste the tea! It was properly portioned with the right amount of milk- honestly I could've had 2 cups to myself lol and I'm picky with my Thai tea! The service is really good! Everyone here was really kind and considerate. One of the employees saw that I was cold so she offered to close the back door. Super sweet of her! The food was ready pretty quickly and all in good quality. If you're in the area, do give this spot a try!

Very tasty pho! I got the flank steak pho and there was a good amount of meat and noodles in it. The flavor of the broth was a bit more mild, but still good and satisfying. The service was nice and the food came out quick. I enjoyed this local spot, and it is a quality, affordable option for anyone looking for a warm meal.

Overpriced basic Vietnamese food that skimps on toppings for both meat and veggies. We got the pho Hana special pho, and it was underwhelming. There were only a few pieces of meat, only gave 2 veggies instead of 4-5 different ones other pho places give and the broth was super basic. The portion size was also super small. We also got the spring rolls and that was disappointing as well. There was little to no filling, it was 90% vermicelli and lettuce. The dipping sauce was standard. We also got the pork & shrimp vermicelli plate. That was disappointing as well, the flavor was there but I needed 2 fish sauces and there was only 3-4 shrimp and only a few pieces of pork. And severely lacking in the veggie department as well. We paid $50 with tip for 2, and it was super underwhelming and overpriced. Will not recommend and will not be coming back.

I can always appreciate and support a small local business. Although the weather here was a lot cooler than normal my coworker thought it would be good to get a bowl of pho for dinner. Now for the downside. The soup was lacking a decent amount of protein listed in the menu but the really sad part was the table didn't have the small jar of hot chili oil. But overall it was good.

Where to begin... I'm gonna take a trip down memory lane so please excuse me (*''*). I might be the only dude that remembers this but there used to place called Yamaki Karate literally 2 seconds away. After practice, my parents would take me here and I would have great memories as the food was bussin and had fun times. Sadly, that place is closed which makes me tear up from time to time. Now on to the actual review. Now that I'm older, the food still hits the same and has gotten even better. My favorite is the brisket and chicken close second. The brisket pho is one my favorite foods to eat. Their Thai tea is so so bomb, I like to get it with my soup. Great combination. The servers here are really nice and help you so there shouldn't be any problems. I think it tastes better takeout which is weird because they're literally the same thing but ion even know. One of my favorite restaurants and it holds a special place in my heart. Surprised it took me this long to write a review. ⁎ ⁎

Ordered through DoorDash. This chicken pho was exactly what I needed when I wasn't feeling well. The addition of the bean sprouts, Thai basil and lime was perfect. The only thing I didn't care for was the chicken because it was incredibly dry. The brisket was better than the chicken.

Saigon Dish is the first restaurant I've found near LA that prepares Bo Kho that way. My dramatic self stopped the employee to tell him how long it's been since I've had a Bo Kho that reminded me of home. Although it was sweeter than what I'm used to, it was still delicious. I was lucky enough to come in on a Saturday when the Banh Xeo was available. The crepe was light and crispy (now this dish I'm actually used to being a bit sweeter) but the nuoc mam really balanced everything out. I contemplated taking a container of the fish sauce home but I know what happens if that spills in your car. I like to switch things up between pho and bun rieu, and that night I went with the tomato-based noodle soup. It was a bit mild at first, but adding extra shrimp paste made it just right. I also appreciated that the staff had no problem blanching the bean sprouts upon request just the way I like them. My husband ordered the grilled pork chop with rice, and they were happy to swap out the shredded pork for a fried egg. We also shared an order of shrimp cakes to start. The food came out quickly, service was prompt, and overall it was a great experience. We'll definitely be back to try more dishes on the menu.

We ordered the $16.99 lunch specials which I feel is a good value for all you get. Wife ordered the red curry with chicken which was delicious and I ordered the hot basil with chicken and they both came with soup and salad. The waiter made a mistake and told us the soup of the day was Tom Kha (spicy coconut) for which we were hoping but what was brought out was more of a broth. It had a lot of flavor though, I will say that, so I was pleasantly surprised. Salad was tasty with house sesame dressing and my hot basil chicken was FANTASTIC. The portion size was very good and I even took half of the chicken home to enjoy another time. Note the lunch special is offered from 11:30am-3pm Monday through THURSDAY....I am not quite sure why. They really should include Fridays. The Thai Gimlet with basil and lemongrass was a wonderful and creative cocktail...so good, I ordered two! Service was friendly and attentive. And of course, nothing beats that view. An overall wonderful date lunch!

When the bill came they added and tacked on 5 EXTRA ITEMS that racked up to $200. Something was off good thing it was checked before charging the card. It would've been a headache. Immediately checked in with them and they made an excuse saying someone else must've messed up. Someone wasn't paying attention and made a mistake or they're adding extra items in there. That could add up imagine how many tables they get per holiday. I've been wanting to make a review of this place years ago also but never got the chance when I took my dad here for Father's Day and his birthday. Extremely rude customer service.

As soon as we entered we saw a sign saying you had to pay before being seated. Red flag!! Paying before you even had a taste of the food rang alarms in my head. Asking for a tip before service has even been rendered is the most ridiculous thing ever. Alot of places do this and it needs to be changed. Tip after services have been rendered. The workers here at least the 4 that I saw were all extremely young. They looked like they all belong in high school. They were very slow in anything they did. During my whole time here I the resturant the phone kept going off and they ignored it quite a few times. The inside of the resturant nice and clean, no complaints from me. My wife used their bathroom but the door did not lock so I had to stand outside which is annoying and not suitable for any ladies wanting to use the restroom. The food took quite a long time to come out. We sat down for awhile before the appetizers came out. 2 of us got the pho lunch special and it comes with a fried veggie eggroll. It took 15 minutes just to get 2 veggie spring rolls which were fresh and hot. When taking a bite out of them the inside was just mushy veggies and tasted like they were soaked in soy sauce. Then the spring rolls came out and they looked ok. After tasting they were decent. My only complaint about them is there wasn't enough peanut sauce, just a little dish not enough for all of our rolls. My wife ordered the combination fried rice. It came and it looked nice and hot. Upon tasting it for myself it tasted extremely salty. The proteins in it (Chinese sausage, shrimp, chicken) were almost inedible with the exception of the Chinese sausage. The shrimp was extremely over cooked and the chicken was cut thin and wide, like jerky and was just as dry as jerky. My FIL and I ordered the combination pho. The pho was extremely lackluster and was missing some components commonly in combo pho (pho dac biet) it was missing tendon, flank and meatballs (sometimes not always in pho dac biet) The meat to noodle ratio is extremely terrible, had at least 8 bites of noodles left and no more meat. The broth was so bland no flavor at all except for the over abundance of sweetness from the sugar. Being part vietnamese myself I love alot of pho whether its super delicious or just ok. This pho is not even in the "just ok" realm its terrible, its a disgrace to pho everywhere. Even if you are the type to put Hoison/Sriracha in the broth it will not save it. FIL says this place uses to be good but I guess things have changed since his last visit all those years ago. You could pick almost any other pho restaurant and I am 99.99% sure it would be better than here. If you value your time, money, and taste buds please stay clear of this place by any means necessary.
