Full spread

Gem of a restaurant tucked away in a gas station that has nearly as impressive of a spread as the menu! You order in the back and wait out front, it takes a solid 5-10 minutes for fresh meaty burgers. The menu is Korean inspired and very difficult to choose since they're all incredibly tempting. I ended up going with the HAPA hoping for a Bulgogi-esqe experience. It was incredibly good, though I wish the sauce was a bit stronger. No problem though - just gonna keep going back until I find my favorite.

Didn't know this place was inside the gas station, but definitely worth it for the burgers. There is also limited seating outside the shop. The Napolean...Insanely-large burger that was almost TOO much on one bun. The sammies, however, not good. The Oscar was not appetizing at all and my friend did not want to even finish. Overall great burger choices, nice staff. I'd definitely come back for their burgers.

The Standing Room is a small restaurant in the back of a convenience store. I came here this afternoon for a late lunch with a friend. The parking lot is small, but street parking was easy to find and free. I ordered the Cash burger with a side of sweet potato fries. For this area, $15 for a burger isn't too bad. Outside, they have a few tables and umbrellas set up in the corner of the parking lot. It was a lovely day, so definitely didn't mind sitting outside. The portion of fries was large and the burger was loaded and tasted pretty good! A great little whole in the wall spot for a good burger in Redondo

Looking for lunch around the Redondo Beach area and this caught our eye. From the food pictures, I highkey thought this was located at a modern restaurant like Slaters or something.. but I was shockingly wrong haha. It's a lot more casual than I thought and it's located in a liquor store? It seems that most people come here just for the burgers, and the liquor store is convenient when you wanna buy chips or drinks with your order! So the prices are also 'gourmet' prices, so that's why I also thought this would be at a restaurant. So the service was pretty efficient and the wait time was average. There are tables in the parking lot, but we ended up taking our food to the pier since it's just about 5 mins away and you can eat by the beach! There are also plenty of tables at the pier too. So I got the dressed burger and my bf got the cash burger. Based on the menu items, it seemed like there were a lot of Korean inspired ingredients, but it had it's own unique flavors that I wouldn't have known that it would be Korean inspired. As my bf said, the dressed burger had more 'dimension' with all the ingredients, but he didn't like his as much because it was more 'one dimensional'. I enjoyed mines since the dressed burger was also juicy and flavorful altogether. We also got the parmesan truffle fries, honestly this one could have used a lot more truffle. The parmesan also hardened really quickly, so I didn't seem to like this one it. The fries were nice at first, but it gets pretty hard once it cooled down. Overall, the burgers were nice, the fries could've been better. Casual burger joint that's a bit nicer, but generally on the smaller side of "nicer" burgers.

Fantastic burgers! After several return trips, Standing Room is now one of our preferred burgers in the South Bay. Bonus points because out of our favorite burger joints it's the closest one to us. We love the Asian flavors incorporated into the burgers. Our favorite items from the menu so far are the Cash and Dressed burgers. I am also wanting to try out some of their non-burger sandwiches sometime soon. One thing to note, there are two locations and we tried them both but for some reason, the Torrance location is not as great as the Redondo one. Curious if any other Yelpers have experienced the same. Let me know folks coz the Torrance one is even closer to us and if that was an off day I'm willing to give them another shot.

Another spot on my want to try list marked off. It's a small place where you order inside of the liquor store area and you pick up from a hole in the wall outside. They have more choices then I expected but the one called Dressed was perfect for me. The bread is as soft and very tasty it held all the condiments and burger juices well with out getting soggy. This is one of the best burger buns that I have tried. The egg we as cooked perfect as well as the patty. The cheese was good but not melted. The bacon was in small little you chunks not sliced but still tasty all the same. My only gripe is the lettuce only because they use red leaf lettuce and it gets wilted from the burgers heat fast. Over all the burgervtye service was all top notch. I highly recommend this place for your burger needs.

The cash burger

The burger was good. It was honestly a little on the small side and I personally just can't wrap my head around a burger from a liquor store being $14 after tax, and not even coming with fries. A good spot if you're in the area looking for a bite after a day at the beach and don't want to sit in a restaurant, however, there are plenty of spots in the pier and harbor that have bigger portions for similar prices with table service.

The burgers here are huge, messy, and soooo delicious! Service was great, and waiting for the food was no problem as you know they're making it to order. As a first timer, I had no clue what to order as everything sounded good. I went with the chance burger and was anything but disappointed. Definitely coming back to try some other items! There are some tables outside where you can eat, but if it too cold or windy, your car will do-- make sure you have lots of napkins!

Whatever your plans, you're going to want to head here early to carve out time to read their unique and interesting menu. So many incredible and unique combinations! The staff was friendly and patient with my indecisiveness- the menu is just too good! I can't believe it took me this long to check this place out. I was anticipating a smash burger, which it is not but still hella delicious. I got the "Bull burger" which has bulgolgi added on top - that drippy melted cheese and korean aioli combo was bomb. My partner got the "Dressed burger" which he loved. I thought bacon could've been a bit more crispy. Be prepared to MUNCH these burgers are stacked! The crisp sear of the bun is perfection. These guys know how to burger! Ambiance is cool and unassuming. You can order inside through a liquor store that's giving Brooklyn Bodega - which made my heart happy. Then there's tables outside facing west. In the colder months, head there while the sun is out and it is a nice outdoor sunshine filled meal.

Set inside a local liquor store this dive is known for unique burgers that are high quality and really innovative. Their prices are kinda steep for how much you get, but the food doesn't disappoint. Today I got the Napoleon burger ($22.00) which is bacon, caramelized onions, smoked Gouda, cheddar, fried egg, spring mix, topped with braised short rib, truffle Parmesan fries, tomato jam & Korean aoli - and it was an incredible symphony of flavor, not to mention a lot of food. My girlfriend got the Sally Sammie ($15.00) which is a grilled salmon sandwich with miso glaze, spring mix, onion, tomato & spicy vinaigrette. She liked it but didn't love it. I'm fact, she as still hungry after eating it and had to get a classic burger ($11) to leave satisfied - which she took half home. The classic has thousand island, shredded lettuce, onion, tomato and cheddar cheese - and she liked it better than the Sally. We also got their famous Truffle Parmesan Fries ($8) and they were fantastic as usual. Overall the burgers here are really innovative and good, but after tax this burger meal was over $50. I'm not denying that it was definitely was a special meal but this price point is a bit high for me to justify coming here more than once or twice a year. There are just too many other great burger places around that are significantly less expensive. We will definitely be back - just not sure how soon that will be.

Advice for dating and choosing restaurants: Looks aren't everything. This joint is less hole in the wall and more like a liquor store speakeasy. Its unassuming appearance can make it hard to miss but it's what's inside that counts. The naked burger was juicy and flavorful. It wasn't too heavy on my stomach and the portion sizes were just enough to satisfy my hunger without overindulging. Got a side of sweet potato fries. It was recommended by the cashier and he didn't steer me wrong. Sweet potato fries are hit or miss and this was definitely a hit. Since it is located inside of a liquor store, you can go wild with picking your drink. We also ordered edamame and didn't realize that they came covered in a sauce. They were kind enough to remake the edamame for us without the sauce. Customer service was a home run. There is an outdoor seating area where you can chow down with friends. Good enough food for a date but not the ambiance for one unless it's extremely low key. Parking is mainly street parking but we didn't have trouble finding any after a nice day at the beach on the weekend. This will not be a one night stand with the standing room. I'll be back for more.

I've been a fan for quite a while and am loving watching them grow! Owner Matt is seriously living his foodie dream. He gave up his solid corporate job and made his culinary dream come true! The new Redondo location is a great spot with an out door patio and dining room. It's bright and filled with music and even some arcade games. Order at the counter and you're give a pager for when your order is ready to devour! Today was a weekday so I ordered the PS Original burger. It's an outstanding smash burger filled with quality meat, seared perfectly on the flat top to get some of that grilled crunch. If it was the weekend, get the Brunch Burger, OMG it's so good!! I always get the tots. They're always perfectly crispy and compliments any of their burgers. If they offer a "special burger" it's always worth mixing it up and ordering it, or even a Big Fish sandwich that was available in April and was a special treat, their collab burgers like their Butan Burger which was insanely good! But you really can't go wrong with any burger on the menu.

I am happy to see how much they have grown since then - with restaurants in Redondo Beach, Manhattan Beach and Long Beach. It was my first time to check out this Redondo Beach location. Just in time for AAPI Heritage Month, Proudly Serving collaborated with Filipino American kickboxing champion Jackie Buntan. Jackie grew up in the South Bay and is a fan of Proudly Serving, thus leading to her collaborating with them. The Buntan Burger by Jackie Buntan x Proudly Serving is a celebration of Filipino heritage and flavor in every bite. It has a double patty, mozzarella cheese, banana ketchup aioli, longganisa, and atchara on soft pandesal from Gemmae Bakeshop. I really enjoyed this burger. I loved how they used pandesal and how they had a lot of Filipino ingredients in this burger. The longganisa paired well with the burger patty and gave the burger a nice, sweet touch. I also really liked the touch of banana ketchup aioli and atchara. Aside from The Buntan Burger, I got the PS Fries. I've gotten these fries before and they still remain to be some of the best fries I've ever tried. The thick fries are so crisp and delicious. I am fan of the generous toppings of burger patty, cheese, griddled onions, pickles and special sauce. I love the PS Fries but definitely also want to try the Chili Cheese Fries next time. I'm really happy I got to try Proudly Serving again. I am especially glad I got to check out the special Jackie Buntan x Proudly Serving burger. So masarap!
