I ordered online and it was accurate and easy plus they text you when it was ready, so service is ideal. It's a clean deli/cozy atmosphere where you can sit inside or dog friendly outside but keep in mind there's no restroom facility, I used the Fed Ex one since I had to print something. The bread is perfectly crisp, the ingredients are fresh, and the menu has just enough creativity to keep things interesting without getting gimmicky. And somehow, their breakfast burrito has quietly become one of our local favorites--which is saying something, given how many great options we have around here. Dropped by Riera's today and asked for a sandwich recommendation. The cold pastrami was one of the recommended options, so I went with it, and let me just say, it was one of the best pastrami sandwiches I've ever had. First of all, the pastrami is next level, perfectly portioned and premium quality. Then there's the coleslaw and mustard that provides a zesty flavor profile. Lastly, the toasted rye bread holds it together, and leaves you grateful you chose the sandwich. I'll be coming back for this one among others, because Riera has the best sandwiches in the South Bay. read more

5 stars across the board.. Rieras is one of my favorite spots. The quality and taste are excellent. We have used Rieras for our employee get togethers. It's become one of our favorite places to order from. There are a lot of selections and when I've checked in and asked the staff members how their sandwich or salad was it's an overwhelming thumbs up. When one of our staff was retiring, the manager asked her to pick ANYWHERE she wanted for lunch - and she chose Riera'S takeout. It's that good. :) Personally, I LOVE their turkey, bacon, avocado sandwich. It's delicious! It's a large enough sandwich for two people but because it's so tasty I almost always put half away - and then go back and eat the second half right away. It's that good. Favorite choices with my co-workers are the Cubana, Riera's Special Sub, Meatball sandwich and the Cobb salad. The owner (Nick) is also great, he provides old school customer service, he cares about your experience and he also works on the floor himself - answering phones, taking orders... (which is a rarity these days). The rest of the staff are excellent too - super fast and friendly. I highly recommend Rieras for your individual or group needs. read more

Happy 5th Anniversary, Riera's Place!! Stopped in for their anniversary special - Riera's Sub for $5. Got there around 1:30pm and they were all out of Italian Rolls. Say what? Choices were White Bread, Rye Bread or Tortilla Wrap. I chose the white bread but I was also charged $5.55. Oh well. Happy anniversary. I also ordered a slice of their Grotto Pizza that was delicious if you like onions. I love onions so it hit the spot. EDIT - the Riera's Sub is supposed to be a 10" Italian roll. I received a small bread size sandwich, which is like HALF the size of a sub AND I was charged 55 cents MORE!!! What a rip off!!! Ok, bye. read more

This used to be our go to sandwich place and we really loved it but the last two times have been horrible. The time before the bread was stale and this time the meatball sandwich consist 4 Half sized meatballs- so a whole sandwich consisted of two meatballs cut in half. The meatball sandwich costs $14 yet they sell meatballs for $2.50 each so you're better off getting two meatballs and some garlic bread and making your own sandwich. I also didn't see any cheese on it whatsoever. The Cuban sandwich used to be grilled but this time the bread was crumbly at best and had a little filling but still better than the meatball . Very disappointed and probably won't be going back even though the customer service is nice and we wish the owner well. read more

Really great for beach sub sandwiches. This is the turkey with Gouda cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, and mayo. I love that they cook their turkey in house, you can tell it is fresh and has great flavor. Much better than regular grocery store turkey which can be slimy in my opinion. I've been meaning to come back, but they're a bit farther out... I had an errand run nearby & called in my order: Rosie's Salad, Hawaiian Style Ahi Poke, & French Fries. While en route, the deli called regarding a POS minor hiccup with the 4 oz. side of ahi poke, & they changed it to an appetizer size for the same price. Whoohoo! When I got back to the office, my salad & poke were still chill, & I had been noshing on the crisp fries along the way. It's a salad with simple ingredients, nothing standout, but when it's mixed together, it was quite tasty & filling. There's sweetness & crunch texture from the apples & candied pecans, the dried berries added another sweet layer, & the strawberry balsamic dressing blended one final layer of sweet-tartness with strawberry flavor balancing the tangy acidity of balsamic vinegar... what a refreshing, bright, fruity salad. The poke was oh-so-fresh & melt-in-your-mouth tender. The shoyu sauce didn't marry well with the salad, so I ate it as a standalone with the crunchy deli chips. Although there was a generous serving of fries, I pretty much finished it on the return drive to the office. Nom, nom, nom... Riera's Place is in the hands of their 3rd generation, crafting flavorful, yummy subs with their in-house meats. This sandwich place was good. I got the tri tip sandwich, my daughter got the chicken strips and fries, and my boyfriend got the meatball sandwich. Both were delicious. We stayed there and ate at their little patio table outside. There are some countertop seats inside as well. read more

I'll get straight to it: I got a sub that I could have made at home in my kitchen. Barely any turkey at all, pepperoncinis were dry and hard (I hand picked them out of my sandwich ), and just a few pickles (had asked for extra.) I didn't see a 5 star sandwich in my order by *any* means and neither did my other half. We ate it only because we had paid for it, but won't be back. There's lots of great sandwich shops around with fresh ingredients that don't skimp on their meats at all. Two stars for the soft bread and friendly staff. read more

This spot popped up on my Yelp and to my surprise it's the shop I've been passing by many times but have not yet tried. It's in a smaller plaza but I've never seen it completely packed where there isn't enough spots. I ordered online on their website and requested a 11:00am time of pick up and receipt said it will be ready between 11:00am to 11:10am. I ended up picking it up around 11:12am. By the time I got to eat it the fries were completely cold. I honestly thought it should be semi warm ;( Also didn't feel like it was worth $4 but lesson learned. I will def skip the fries next time. I ordered Nick's breakfast burrito with Adobo (roast pork and avocado) and it was amazing. I saw a few reviews stating the pork was dry so I was a bit concerned but praise GOD it was juicy and moist and the burrito was soooo deliciously good!!! The only issue I had was the sauce that came w the burrito. It was so spicy like 8 out of 10 spicy. Don't get me wrong I liked it but wish they had something less spicy as I couldn't eat too much of it and ended up using some of the ketchup. I'll def ask next time to see if they have something more mild. I did request that my burritos be cut in 1/2 as I wanted good pictures for the review (instead of biting into it and take a pic of that) but I may have requested it in the wrong area as it was not cut :( Also ordered a couple of "weird" tea and if you're a believer, I'd say have some discernment before ordering. There were no pics when I ordered it and did not feel peace drinking it and will def not order that again. Overall: incredibly friendly service like everyone said!! And the burrito was tasty! I'm def coming back to try their sandwiches!!! And they're so close to me!!! Now that I know what I like and dislike I'm sure my 2nd return the rating will increase as well. Update: came back again on a Saturday to try their sandwiches. I ordered the Cuban sandwich wand loved the meat to bread ratio and the cheese but unfortunately it was way too salty for my taste. This deli place is as good as I remembered. I was first introduced to this spot through a prior Yelp event. I had enjoyed their sandwiches a lot last visit and had been wanting to come back for more. I got the Riera's special and the hot pastrami sub. I don't like mustard , so I got a side of their Sicilian Pepper Spread for the pastrami sub. The bread came out so toasty and crispy. The Swiss cheese was melted, and the pastrami was hot and juicy. It was so good. The sandwhich was very hearty, and I was full after eating a half. I feel like they have one of the best pastrami in town. Service was quick. They have a small parking lot. I'll be back again. read more

For some reason, I've had a hankering for breakfast burritos. There are a ton of places that serve them in LA, and specifically the South Bay. So, I've been looking at food reviews online and narrowed down the ones I should try. This is a small eatery. You order at the counter and they call your name place. They have some seating with a table that runs on the wall with high top chairs. They also have a few tables for two outside with umbrellas. Let me start with the service, they were really nice and personable. The food looked like it was prepared to order and it came quickly. I ordered my standard order of a bacon breakfast burrito. It was about 12.50 including tax. Their basic breakfast burrito was two dollars less. They have a few other add-ons which I may try in the future. They serve the burrito with a smoky salsa on the side. This burrito is probably my favorite burrito so far when I consider the quality, size, and price. I've tried some of the more famous local breakfast burritos like Baran's 2239, Phanny's, etc. What did I like about it? They had a good ratio of cheese, egg, potatoes, and bacon. The bacon and potatoes were crispy, providing a textural contrast. The eggs were moist and fluffy. The cheese was melted. The tortilla was good too. Their smoky salsa was delicious. Bottom line, will I come back? Absolutely. My only issue is that they open mid morning which makes grabbing a breakfast burrito on the way to work impossible since I have to be at work at 8am. This will be a place I can only visit on my day off. read more

Went here for lunch an ordered a breakfast sandwich with adobo pork as my side of protein, alongside their chicken soup. While the service was fantastic, I was slightly disappointed in my food items. The sandwich leaned a little dry, especially in the pork and the chicken noodle soup was a little dull; thankfully I was able to throw some salt packets on hand to liven both up a bit. Been here a few times now and I have to say I'm impressed. Real easy to miss since it's a little tucked away but now I never pass it. First time I stopped by I got their Riera's Special sandwich. It was delicious! They slice and cure their own meats so it's exactly how they want it to taste. 2nd time I stopped by I tried their breakfast burrito. I got it with bacon. I was amazed at how much bacon they put in it. It was really good bacon too! The only drawback was their salsa didn't have much flavor. Maybe a bad batch? So far so good. They have a great menu and super friendly staff. I'm definitely coming back to try more of their menu. read more

This is an update to my review from the days of Covid. This time I got a sausage breakfast burrito and a deli breakfast sandwich. The breakfast burrito wasn't very big as breakfast burritos go but it was packed very tight with quality ingredients so I think the size was a bit larger than met the eye. Now the breakfast deli samich was at the other end of the spectrum. Very big and should be shared imo. This is what you get if you're going there between 10&12 for a breakfast experience. It's awesome! Had mine with bacon. The sandwich has too many ingredients to keep track of but it was packed and delicious. Will be back within a week to get it again. This place was actually really cool. I love how they offer the bagged lunches for the kids menu. I love the personal pizzas, the little squares and you choose your toppings, it was worth the wait.
