I hate to do this, I really do. A strong willed individual can admit when he's been duped, and boy was I. Avoid the Italian. Go to Riera's if you want a good Italian sub. Fried salami and pepperoni no bueno. I still eat this sandwiches, but I might not frequent. The consistency is a problem. My first experience was great. It really was. It wasn't just cause I was desperately hunting for a decent sandwich in this god forsaken town. But my second experience was average and my third was down right pathetic. Monica and her husband Ray own and operate this amazing gem of an eatery. Their donuts are really good as they change their oil often, so you don't have that stale and nasty old oil flavor. My favorite donuts are their apple fritters and old fashioned (buttermilk). Don't get me wrong, they are spectacularly good. But these two are OUTSTANDING!!! As far as their sandwiches are concerned, I love the Cali. It's loaded with turkey AND chicken, cheese, lettuce, tomato, and avocado. I also, love their Veggie. I usually order it on squaw bread or wheat. It comes packed with cheese, cucumbers, shredded carrots, lettuce, tomatoes, and of course avocado. Monica takes pride in the sandwiches as they are a work of art. They are not only tasty as heck, but assembled as it if were to be photographed for an ad! Lastly, their prices are incredibly reasonable. The Veggie is $4.99 and the Cali is $5.99. These are pretty much the prices for just about all of the sandwiches. They need to put a sign up saying they charge $1.50 for using a credit card. That's crazy and it was made up on the spot when I told them I couldn't pay with cash because I didn't have anything but a cc. With the lack of quick sandwich options around here, I can't believe I hadn't tried this place sooner. Just picked up two sandwiches - California Combo and Veggie. Both were delicious. These are a step up from a traditional sandwich place. I refuse to eat at subway. I've gotten Rinaldi's on a couple of occasions and also tried Sacks - neither were winners. So my bar was low, but I had tried their donuts here once before and they were good so I figured we'd give the sandwiches a shot. This place was above and beyond expectations. French roll was clearly fresh, and both sandwiches were stacked with goodness. The bonus is that they used real shaved chicken, not lunch meat. We will be back for sure! Great little Mom n Pop donut and sandwich shop. I ordered 25 sandwiches a few days ahead of time, and Monica was very kind in taking my larger than normal order. She was very friendly, and I felt like I already knew her even though I had never been there before. On the day to pick up the sandwiches, they were ready on time. Eat This is a nice mom and pop shop that offers an array of donuts, sandwiches and smoothies. What I like best is the big croissant egg/bacon sandwich + small coffee deal for $3.99! The croissant is nicely toasted. I'm fine with a regular brewed coffee so considering I can get that and breakfast for only $3.99 is awesome! Don't get me wrong - I'd love to grab my favorite soy latte and delish pastry at Starbucks more often but that can add up like crazy so, yeah...Eat This is A-OK with me :) I've yet to try their deli meat sandwiches so I'll have to try them soon. They use Boar's Head deli meat, btw. As per my bf, the smoothies are really good too! He gives a big thumbs up for the Banana Strawberry and the Mocha Frap. Eat This is located in a small strip mall at the corner of Knob Hill and PCH. Parking has never been an issue as there's ample parking for all the businesses in the strip mall. I wouldn't go out of my way for this place; it's an option for residents of South Redondo or anyone in the area who wants a quick bite. Eat This has an amazingly a fresh, light, airy glazed donut. The plain donut is simple and elegant. Croissant is tasty and thick. Breakfast bagel sandwich is toasted and delicious. We ordered a dozen donuts and some sandwiches for ourselves and our movers and everybody was extremely happy with everything. The prices are low and the food is great, so it became our first go-to spot in our new home. The breakfast items are great. The donuts are always fresh and the breakfast sandwiches are amazing.
