So we've been here 2x now and both times the sandwiches and sides were solid and delicious! It's a nice and clean eatery. You can choose eat in or just take it out as we do. The cashier who takes your order is always friendly and the wait times to receive order is pretty quick. They have a variety of chips and drinks to choose from. My only real let down is it's all bottled drinks - I wish they offered a fresh brewed iced tea. As I can't do the sugar in the bottled drinks. On our first visit, I had the pastrami and my husband had the bbq beef with potato salad (unfortunately I forgot to takes photo). They were both great sandwiches. They are pretty large and for me, one sandwich is two meals. Today we stopped in to just grab a quick snack and we decided to split a hot pastrami and coleslaw. As always fulfilling and delicious! I must admit, this is one of the better coleslaws I've had dining out. However, be sure to check their hours as they do close much earlier then many sandwich spots, which makes it tough to get there for dinner some days. However overall this is a great little spot that people should give a try!! We will be frequent visitors when we are in the mood for a sandwich!

So this gem of a sandwich shop popped up on my social media. I'm a sucker for a good sandwich so I saved the post. I went back to it a day later and didn't even realize that it was close to where I live, so I decided to stop by on my way home. Late afternoon 4/20/26. I never noticed it because you can't really spot it street side. The entrance is on the other side of the building and a bit hidden. Anyhow, I found it ok. Walked in, was greeted promptly and found the place to be nice and clean! Steve greeted me and asked how he could help. I was getting a few sandwiches, one of which Steve recommended (Hot pastrami). I also ordered the club sandwich on sweet wheat and the veggie sandwich on a French roll. This place doesn't miss! My family were happy with their club and veggie sandwiches. My hot pastrami sandwich was amazing as well. The portions, presentation, and quality ingredients were on point. Service is quick and friendly. Pricing is fair. I highly recommend this place! They use Boars Head deli meats! I'll be back!

We preordered a few sandwiches for the family to take down to the beach, and Baba's did not disappoint! Friendly staff, fresh ingredients, and sandwiches that were absolutely on point. Everything was delicious, and we'll definitely be back! Highly recommend!

Recently tried a new deli I had been seeing on Instagram -- Baba's Deli NY Style Subs, located on Pacific Coast Highway just west of Hawthorne Blvd in the south end of Torrance. They offer a wide variety of subs, with both preset combinations and a build-your-own option. In addition to sandwiches, they also have homemade salads like tuna and chicken, along with classic sides such as potato salad, macaroni salad, and coleslaw. My wife and I ordered a couple of different sandwiches to try. First up was the Reuben, which can be made with either pastrami or corned beef. They were accommodating and split it for us with half of each -- a nice touch. They use Boar's Head products, so you're getting premium-quality meats and cheeses. The Reuben was served on squaw bread (by request) and loaded with a generous portion of meat, sauerkraut, Swiss cheese, and Thousand Island dressing. The meat was almost shaved and incredibly tender. The only minor downside was that it leaned slightly dry -- a bit more dressing or mustard would have brought everything together better. Still, a strong 10/10. Next was the Italian sub, which was also well put together with generous portions of meat and cheese, plus lettuce, tomato, and pickles. Very solid. We also ordered a medium potato salad. It was good, though more average compared to the sandwiches. The staff was very friendly and willing to assist with your order, then bring your order to your table . Unfortunately seating is limited inside. Overall, a great experience and definitely a spot I'd return to.

Delicious fresh sandwiches! We love their hot pastrami, Monster and Italian sub. Can't wait to try more of their sandwiches!

Baba's is an incredibly cute deli! The staff were super friendly. I got a BLT which was off menu, and they made it so good! They added so much bacon! The sandwich was so good, had to save half for later.

Always looking to find a spot like bay cities in Santa Monica but in the South Bay. Babas is not a bad runner up! Nice sized sandwiches, we got the Italian and the pastrami. Both were tasty, and filling. Good selection of chips as well! Overall I loved the Italian, I always miss hot peppers on a sub like this but adding pepperonchini was a good substitute

I got a custom sandwich and my wife got the Monster. We went on a week day and at lunch, a rush came in right at noon so we were lucky to get ahead of everyone. This place picks up and for good reason. The ingredients were fresh and I really enjoyed mine. My wife said the Monster tasted a bit too sweet, but she can see how people would like it. It just wasn't her style and she'll probably try something else next time. Also, the lady who took out orders was nice and their service was fast. I see why they had a really solid Yelp score and next time we're feeling like deli sandwiches, we'll be back.

Really good sandwiches with lots of selections! The service was also very good and very friendly. My favorite was the monster sandwich which was super packed with protein. I also tried the pastrami but that one was just okay - definitely would recommend the monster over that one! Note that there is minimal seating and parking :)

Babas is a fine it's nothing spectacular and it's just above getting the job done. Monster is probably the best sandwich, followed by Pastrami and Times Square. Ng is a bad sub though sorry y'all. Bad bad not bad good. League average honey mustard. Bad combo. Way too sweet when it's honey turkey and honey ham, flavor profile too light. Inconsistent if you look at other pics. Good roll though. Italian also too much bologna. Fixins need an upgrade to be elite. Particularly sauces, cucumbers and pickles. Pickles are pathetic, go get the crispy good ones.

I love this place so much!!!!! I have already left my initial review but I've been coming here for the last 9 months and I love them dearly. The sandwiches will always hit that spot in ur tummy!!! The owners are amazing and sweet people and deserve all the foot traffic they can get. I've definitely got my family hooked on them too.

Why you see is what you get. Straight forward no frills NY deli vibe in SoCal. Service was lovely. She was very through in taking my order. Sandwich's were very straightforward. Ruben with pastrami was delicious- I personally prefer the filling to the edge of the bread. Italian Sub- very classic flavors and oh so messy. NG Sub- overall classic sandwiches vibes, could use some seasoning- no need for cucumbers without a bit of salt. Monster Special was probably my favorite and the most flavorful. Potato salad- I don't think the person who came up with this recipe loves potato salad. It could use some love. Sodas and chips available in the lobby.

First time ordering from Babas I was amazed by the amount of meat on my sandwich. I would highly recommend the Times Square.

In no way are those French baguettes. It's just a soft spongy roll. Nothing baguette about it. Not like it's just a bad baguette. It's just purposeful false advertising and misleading. I got the California Delight mainly because the photo and the description said it has sprouts in it. No sprouts were found in my sandwich. Their secret sauce is pretty good at kicking up an otherwise decent sandwich. As another reviewer mentioned, the lady taking my order was not friendly and socially awkward in a rude way. Chips and drink don't come as a combo, so expect to pay $6 dollars to make it a meal. That's a big difference for a $11 sandwich. Friday noon, and most customers had beers with their lunch.
