Kelly's Korner is one of those really fun cafés, not just because of the great food they serve, but also because of the location. Kelly's is located in what once was the Rolling Hill General Store. This business was established in the 30s, and Kelly's took over the location in the mid 1980s. Since then, this has been a great go to location to get that really fun snack and/or meal. What they offer is a really good selection of a lot of very tasty items. Everything is made with quality ingredients and a little bit of love. It's always a tasty place to grab that interesting something. With the offer is a good selection of salads, sandwiches, some pizza on French bread, pastries, along with some ice cream and other stuff like that. They really have a very good menu. There's really a lot of choices. And, from my experience, it's all really tasty. In terms of atmosphere, this business is really well put together. They have a number of very nice interior tables, if you want to stay out of the elements. Plus, they have a number of outdoor tables, if you wanna get that picnic vibe while enjoying your meal and/or drink. This business is located right off of PV Drive North. So, if you don't know the area, you may not know where it is. But, you can always GPS it. It's really worth the drive. Overall, this is a fun place to eat or grab that latte or other drink. I cannot even guess the amount of times I have driven past Kelly's Korner on my way to and from home. It has always looked inviting, and I have always wondered what it looks like inside and wanted to try the place out. It's located on the corner of Palos Verdes Drive North and Rolling Hills Road. You can't miss it when you're driving West. I drove into their private parking lot and parked. There are small round tables under the porch, small and large picnic tables with umbrellas, even a couple stone tables and stools on the other side of the lawn that is for children to play and run around on. I was pleasantly surprised when I walked into the General Store. There is seating available indoors as well. Pretty, fresh cut flowers placed in vases, on each table. There's a refrigerator full of various bottled and canned drinks; bags of chips; a freezer full of individually wrapped ice cream; eight flavors of ice cream by the scoop in a refrigerated case, and loose candies in jars sitting on top of the counter. The soda fountain machine is behind the counter. I came less than an hour before closing, so the coffee bar was closed. I grabbed one of their pretty extensive menus and ordered a 7" Turkey, bacon, and avocado sandwich ($15); cheese French bread pizza ($7); and grabbed a bottle of San Pellegrino ($3.75), all for here. I paid at the counter and sat down at one of the indoor tables. The gentleman behind the counter, Josh, was friendly and efficient. When my order was ready, he was going to deliver it, but since it was late, I picked it up at the counter. The sandwich was wrapped in white butcher paper. Sandwich was cut in half. It was really good. All fresh ingredients. The pizza was half a French bread cut in half, so it was cut in four pieces. Both were served on a brown paper plate, with napkins. It was pretty good, tasty tomato meat sauce with real white cheese on top. The bread was nicely toasted. Next time I visit, I'll come earlier so I can try a coffee and something else on their menu. read more

A few colleagues highly recommended checking out the Matcha and Turkey sandwich. I pulled up and was surprised how much it reminded me of my days living in Dallas. It's one of those places, you could miss if you drive past it. The interior is so cute, nostalgic with it's understated farmhouse style. Remnants of the old post office adds to this quaint feeling. I really loved the TBA (Turkey Bacon Avo) Sandwich. The lettuce was thinly shredded which i believe make a difference and I ordered a pastrami to go as well for my husband who enjoyed it as well. You can't go wrong here. They have coffee, pastries, sandwiches and ice cream. I do prefer housemate syrup for coffee but the barista knows what he's doing. They carry the Monin brand. He was just talking to another customer and we were ready to order so I tried to use body language to give him a hint and he ignored it. I finally had to ask where do I order. The outside of the restaurant was so beautiful that I just had to take a peek inside. It has a farmhouse feel with a pretty chandelier inside and snacks to grab along the front of the store. I wished that there had been a bigger selection of snacks. The general store felt like it was lacking in merchandise. I tried to order coffee because I thought I saw a coffee section, however, they did not have a coffee menu. While I took another second to change my order, a group of children came in. It was around 3pm. The workers seemed to know all of the children by name-- the place quickly became a local elementary schools' hangout spot. I didn't mind at all since their presence transformed the restaurant into a happy home. Once I got my Pizza Sub, I decided to sit outside. I was looking for a old fashion deli experience. Wife and I found a deli experience that was pretty decent. Inside was clean and country type of feel. The service was very welcoming and warm. The menu offers hot and cold sandwiches along with a few other items. I chose the Gourmet Ham which came with Swiss cheese and a raspberry jam, with Dijon mustard. The jam and mustard mixed pretty well. Each balancing out each other. Bread was soft to medium. Ham was very good with the Swiss cheese. All n all a good experience. My kids go to one of the schools on the same street as Kelly's and they always say great things about their lunches whenever I order from here. It's easy and seamless to order and the kids love it. What more can I ask for? The kids are definitely spoiled by gourmet lunches but at least I know they're getting healthy, fresh food that's convenient and filling. The owner is so nice and always a pleasure to deal with. It's nice to know as a busy Mom that when a Manic Monday hits and you realize there's nothing to pack for lunch that you can pick up the phone on the way to school and order lunch and the kids will get a nice fresh lunch. I've lived in PV for decades and have never visited this well-known little shop until now. I remember when Kelly's Korner was offered as a meal option at PVPHS and it was quite popular. The shop is a cute little mom-and-pop feel restaurant with casual indoor and outdoor seating. The young lady behind the counter took my order and was very sweet and nice. I ordered the meatball sub and it was your standard sub, as expected. NotI also ordered the chinese chicken salad with avocado. The lettuce and avocado were fresh and dressing was good. However, for the price, I expected something a little more special. Overall, it is an easy and comfortable shop to grab a quick meal. If I didn't live on the hill, I wouldn't drive here just to get their food. read more

Based on the pictures, the sandwiches looked huge and delicious! But on our visit, our sandwiches looked and tasted flat. My biggest concern is the amount I'm getting for the price that I pay. There are serval different options within a 5 minute drive that you'll receive more food and more taste for your dollar spent. The place was cute on the inside and the staff was very kind. Kelly's is so accommodating & goes above and beyond so they gotta get 5 stars. They offer high-quality healthy meals that are very affordable, as well as comfort food like chicken nuggets or pizza bagels (highly recommend!) I'll often get the chinese chicken salad with those gem little mandarin slices, which comes with an amazing dressing. You really can't go wrong with anything on their menu- even their brownies are house made with generous chocolate chips. Great sandwiches! I really like the meatball sub. The staff is very helpful and friendly. They wore gloves even while refilling my soda. They have nice outdoor/dog friendly seating and are redoing the inside which looks like it will be a nice addition for cooler temperatures. Their pricing is the same as every other sandwich shop these days (honestly a little lower) so not sure why people are still complaining about high prices. Some people should just stay home. After passing by this multiple times, we finally decided to try this spot since it's always busy. The sandwiches were phenomenal. They had a variety of sandwiches to order from but you were able to customize fully - from bread choice, condiments, to everything in between. They made these sandwiches fresh and everything was being turned over quickly so nothing was sitting. My dad got a BBQ chicken sandwich and I got a turkey, avocado, bacon sandwich. The good: I got salt and vinegar chips, a pastrami sandwich, bbq chicken sandwich and some chicken noodle soup. I really love the location and how isolated this place is from other businesses. It's nestled between trees and feels like a hidden gem. I liked the shredded lettuce and the fresh tomatoes in the pastrami sandwich. The thinly cut red onion was very nice. The prices were very fair. The bad: No indoor dining. The outdoor dining bench was loose from the pvc pipe that held it and I almost fell. Outside there are only 3 tables. Their brownies are made from a mix and their corn dogs are also from a frozen box. The bbq chicken sandwich had nothing in it besides chicken and bbq sauce. I was expecting vegetables or other condiments. The pastrami sandwich was on the salty side and was super messy. It was very wet and fell apart easily. The sandwich didn't hold its form well. So 9 years since my last review and it's time for an update. Speaking of updates Kelly's is almost too nice now with recent renovations inside and out now that I almost put on a collared shirt! They have a morning coffee and baked goods area for the am crowd and really nice eating furniture throughout. Nice enough for the ladies to have lunch now. Thank goodness news the sandwiches haven't changed. They are still huge, flavorful and fresh. I like mine on the messy side and they deliver. I get an Italian sub and it's as good as any within a 10 mile radius. Forget BusyBee. Don't expect Subway prices but expect top notch quality. Family run for years. The son (I think he's the son) has taken over since the passing of his father and has really spruced the place up inside and out. No more so called general horse store which is a plus. Didn't add to the ambiance or smell. That is thankfully gone. Notre Dame fans which is a big plus for me. Will remain a regular. read more

Terrible service. They microwave everything. People stand in line waiting to order and they just look at you. I ordered over the phone 5 pastrami sandwiches large.
