Hot Pastrami and a Cold TBA (turkey, bacon, avo) yum!
    Toshi I.

A few colleagues highly recommended checking out the Matcha and Turkey sandwich. I pulled up and was surprised how much it reminded me of my days living in Dallas. It's one of those places, you could miss if you drive past it. The interior is so cute, nostalgic with it's understated farmhouse style. Remnants of the old post office adds to this quaint feeling. I really loved the TBA (Turkey Bacon Avo) Sandwich. The lettuce was thinly shredded which i believe make a difference and I ordered a pastrami to go as well for my husband who enjoyed it as well. I will be back to try the meatball sandwich too. The matcha was the perfect hit after the seratonin from the turkey sando kicked in!

You can't go wrong here. They have coffee, pastries, sandwiches and ice cream. I do prefer housemate syrup for coffee but the barista knows what he's doing. They carry the Monin brand. I had the hot cinnamon bun latte. Let me tell you, it smelled and tasted incredible. Stop by on a chilly morning and enjoy it with a banana nut muffin. - South Bay Coffee Buzz

The outside of the restaurant was so beautiful that I just had to take a peek inside. It has a farmhouse feel with a pretty chandelier inside and snacks to grab along the front of the store. I wished that there had been a bigger selection of snacks. The general store felt like it was lacking in merchandise. I tried to order coffee because I thought I saw a coffee section, however, they did not have a coffee menu. While I took another second to change my order, a group of children came in. It was around 3pm. The workers seemed to know all of the children by name-- the place quickly became a local elementary schools' hangout spot. I didn't mind at all since their presence transformed the restaurant into a happy home. Once I got my Pizza Sub, I decided to sit outside. It's a really a wonderful place to relax and have an awesome sandwich! I'll eventually come back for ice cream.

It is SO cute inside! It's like a general store meets a deli with wooden floors, charm and delicious food!

I was looking for a old fashion deli experience. Wife and I found a deli experience that was pretty decent. Inside was clean and country type of feel. The service was very welcoming and warm. The menu offers hot and cold sandwiches along with a few other items. I chose the Gourmet Ham which came with Swiss cheese and a raspberry jam, with Dijon mustard. The jam and mustard mixed pretty well. Each balancing out each other. Bread was soft to medium. Ham was very good with the Swiss cheese. All n all a good experience. Unfortunately I may not return because I was looking for a little more of an old fashioned deli experience.

Came in today for a Large Pastrami sandwich, Mitchell and the Kelly's team made it to perfection! Best Pastrami sandwich in the South Bay!

Been meaning to come here and finally got the chance. It's a super cute little area to enjoy your lunch. Plenty of seating and plenty of options to choose to eat. I got the Italian assorted kids size and it filled me up perfectly. It was pretty good! Staff were friendly and overall it was nice and clean. Definitely will be back to try what else they have to offer.

What a cute little spot. I've lived in PVE for the last 7 years and I've driven by this place so many times. Today I drove by and decided to stop by and finally try it and I'm so glad I did. I ordered a tuna sandwich. Def better than the tuna sando from Malaga cove ranch market. Their ingredients taste so fresh. I will def be back to try one of their speciality sandwiches.

    Gourmet Ham (delicious!)

Came back again and was not disappointed. The Gourmet Ham is delicious. The ham, Swiss cheese, raspberry jam and Dijon mustard hit the spot. The combination was so tasty. I had drip coffee to go along with the sandwich. Truly delicious!

I've lived in PV for decades and have never visited this well-known little shop until now. I remember when Kelly's Korner was offered as a meal option at PVPHS and it was quite popular. The shop is a cute little mom-and-pop feel restaurant with casual indoor and outdoor seating. The young lady behind the counter took my order and was very sweet and nice. I ordered the meatball sub and it was your standard sub, as expected. NotI also ordered the chinese chicken salad with avocado. The lettuce and avocado were fresh and dressing was good. However, for the price, I expected something a little more special. Overall, it is an easy and comfortable shop to grab a quick meal. If I didn't live on the hill, I wouldn't drive here just to get their food.

Only in the last decade or so, I started hearing about the great sandwiches at Tucker's yet I only went in for Lotto tickets thinking that if I won sometime, it'd make for a good story. "Back to his roots, David K. wins Powerball..." Well, I am in charge of a lotto group of 14 families and we WON in December 13th's drawing! 4 numbers, not including the Powerball. A whopping $447 and they put it on the wall and everything! And we decided as a group to roll that into last night's drawing in addition to our usual buy in...and we won $56 dabnabit! But I was feeling pretty good about winning the 4 numbers so I decided to order up some sammies for the family. The boy and I decided to go splitsies and share the Turkey Avocado on Squaw Bread and the Pastrami Hoagie. The wife ordered the BLT. The staff are nice, friendly and efficient. It didn't take long at all to whip up 3 yummy sandwiches. The wife enjoyed her BLT and I had my half of the Turkey Avocado yesterday and it was great. The squaw bread was particularly fantastic. I had my half of the Pastrami today and heated it up in the toaster oven. I really enjoyed it and would definitely get sandwiches here again. It looks like all the meats are high quality Boar's Head products. And I enjoyed the bread the Pastrami was on as well. Prices are inline with other sandwich places. The market itself is jam packed with all sorts of snacks/drinks and goodies. They even sell ping pong balls and dice. I look forward to trying more on the menu next time!

We had a real early errand in the Lomita area, so wanted to take advantage by trying a different breakfast place. They have a really informative website, explaining the owning family's participation and how some of their food is sourced. It's a brunch place (open from 8 am to 2/3 pm, Tu-Su), so needed to wait a bit outside (street parking only, found one hour free parking right in front since coming so early). Menus are available at the front counter, and you place and pay (clover) for your order first. The food came out soon after, delivered to your table. This includes egg, garlic fried rice as base and a vegetable lumpia with longanisa pieces, wrapped in a good flour tortilla. Sides were both a cilantro lime crema and a well made sawsawan. The sausage was not too sweet nor too red (though perhaps a bit too meatloaf-like), and the lumpia in the burrito worked for me. Korean Breakfast with bulgogi and steamed rice ($19.95) - it was served in a cast-iron skillet and the pan had been heated up greatly...super hot when served and still warm by the time we left. The flavor of the bulgogi was solid, and I loved the presentation. Taco Truck Burrito ($17.95) - korean-style al pastor pork, with pineapple and kimchi fried rice and egg. It was good....forgot to ask if the meat was really cooked on a vertical rotisserie. Came with a good chipotle salsa and lime crema. We were done in 30 minutes, from entry to exit. It wasn't too busy, so asked the front-of-house lead where the longanisa sausage and lumpia were made...she stated that it was all in-house. That's really impressive, making an ingredient from scratch that is only used in one dish. This and the elegant presentation and longevity really shows that the entire team behind bites & bashes cafe (catering) knows what they are doing.
