This is a good spot for a meal after the gym or if you just don't want anything too heavy. I had two tacos and a side salad with a ginger beer drink. For all 4 items, I spent a little under $20 before tip. I didn't feel full after the meal, and maybe for some, that's a good thing. Unfortunately, the mushroom taco wasn't very tasty. It needed more Pico de Gallo to cut through the mushroom taste. The cucumber salad really should have been a carrot salad and, it was very plain. I might have overpaid for this meal but the ginger beer was so good that I ended up enjoying the whole experience. They had a wall charger too, so, I was able to get some work done. Veggie Grill probably offers the most options out of any plant-based restaurant I have been to and their portions are pretty good for the price! I used to eat Veggie Grill before the one is San Diego closed and even their salads are good! While driving north, I was ecstatic to find a VG and try their Mas Veggies menu. I ordered a Carne Asada and Tejani Taco, as well as a junior burger. The flavors in both tacos was insane! So juicy and tasted incredible. My boyfriend, who isn't vegan, tried the VG Classic ChzBurger and said it far surpassed his expectations. I'm not sure what they use in their house-seasoned patty, but it is delicious! Everything was cooked perfectly and ready in a timely manner. While some of the silverware was a little dirty, the restaurant was pretty well maintained. Serious Allergy Warning -- Avoid if You Have Tree Nut Allergies If you have food allergies, especially tree nut allergies, do not eat at this location. Despite clearly noting my tree nut allergy when placing my order, I still experienced what appeared to be cross-contamination. I ordered the Santa Fe Crispy Chicken with sweet potato fries and chipotle ranch -- none of which contain tree nuts as ingredients. However, shortly after eating, I had an allergic reaction. When we called to address it, the shift lead insisted that none of the items I ordered had tree nuts (which I already knew), and dismissed the possibility of cross-contamination by saying "we clean everything." I've worked at Veggie Grill before -- I know what's supposed to happen in the kitchen versus what actually happens, and that response felt like a rehearsed brush-off rather than real concern. Thankfully, I had Benadryl on hand and avoided a trip to the ER, but it was a close call. If you or someone you're ordering for has severe food allergies, I strongly urge you to avoid this location. The restaurant is located in the AMC theatre plaza so there's always more then enough parking. We decided to try the Santa Fe chicken sandwich, kale salad which were both amazing. Love the spicy sauce that came w the sandwich (I asked for extra on the side) and there's pieces of mango on the salad that was a plus! First time having Veggie Grill and it was SO GOOD! I got the Caesar Crunch Salad, which was delicious. The dressing tasted homemade. I've never had a Caesar salad with kale as one of the main greens, and was pleasantly surprised! The texture added a nice crunch to it. Leaves were very fresh too. I like the salmon and steak protein plates too but they are on the expensive side so I only get them occasionally. I love that the new sides. My favorites on the griddled broccoli and the corn. I got the loaded burrito as my birthday freebie. It was easy to order for pickup on the app. The only thing I didn't like is that I asked for mild salsa, and it looked like they gave me hot sauce. TRASH FOUND INSIDE MY BURITTO Was once a faithful customer because of how close it was to home. However on 11/9/24, the Mrs and I ordered a meal to go. At home while eating my Loaded Burrito, I was complaining to my wife about how poorly it was wrapped. Little did I know that Fully Loaded meant fully loaded...with garbage. A condiment cup full of discarded avocado and pepper jack cheese chunks fell out of my burrito mid bite. I was so incensed that I had to let my anger subside before returning to the restaurant. After taking my entire order back and explained what happened the manager offered to remake the meal. Seriously?! You think I want to eat here again? You'd think a refund would be the first suggestion after finding literal garbage wrapped inside of my food. I declined the offer and was given a full refund. Yay for veggies! I am surprised this came up on the yelp as a suggestion to review since I have dined in + had several delivery orders. I must say everything here I've had here has been solid. Before the pandemic when my husband and I used to dine in person, the customer service has always been top notch. As busy as they were, we were always greeted with smiles and attentive, VIP-style customer service. I've had numerous orders by delivery since the pandemic hit. Most recently, we've had the buffalo and 7 layer burritos from the not so secret menu. Both amazing! For sides the mac and cheese and sweet potato fries were delish. Gotta have the chipotle sauce with the sweet potato fries. Other times we have had the VG Beyond Burgers as well as carrot cake for dessert. All very tasty! VG is a great organization. At their website, they have opportunities to donate so that plant based meals can be provided to vulnerable communities such as shelters, centers, and first responders. Way to go VG! read more

Fantastic! It's a rediscovery since it's been a while since I last dined here. I just started my quest for Vegan meals. Veggie Grill will be on my regular rotation as I'm switching it up a few times a week. I can't give up red meat altogether. Well, at least not yet. The food here is pretty good. As a vegetarian, I've taken meat-eating family here a few times, and all of them have enjoyed it. As a vegetarian who doesn't enjoy meat substitutes, my options are limited to dishes with tofu. Thankfully, sometimes I can sub tofu for fake meat (definitely depends on the dish though). And I've really liked most things I've tried. A close friend of mine got me addicted to the nachos. So good! My mom (not vegetarian) is obsessed with the cauliflower bites, and will go out of her way to come here and take some to go. Personally, I love the mac and cheese. I also love that they rotate their menu often so I can try different things. (Sadly, it means that I dearly miss some of my old retired favorite menu items, like the Korean tacos - those were incredible! But it makes room for new delicious things.) I do sometimes feel worried for the staff... even pre-Covid (before most places became understaffed), I always felt like there were too few staff and they were hustling nonstop (too much IMO) to keep up with the incoming orders.
