We came for the videos ! Its true. The bread is delicious and memorable!! The focaccia recipe is crisp and soft at the same time plus my chicken salad was done so nicely, a housemade with sliced apples, herbs and apple butter. OmG! Now I'm going to dream about it.my hubby had the hot company grinder and stated it was amazing ! I know it's paired well with chips but we had our sandwiches solo. I would love this with sweet potato fries tbh because it would compliment eachother. I must go again!!

Been wanting to try this place since they opened... Conveniently located a couple of steps before the Manhattan Pier, came in on a Saturday mid morning, it was already busy with a line that moved along quickly, was greeted by the friendly cashier ( forgot her name ). I settled for the Smoked Salmon Sandwich, with well balanced portions of thin tomato, whipped cream cheese, salt, smoked salmon and radish sprouts that had a nice crunch to my sandwich... the only bummer was I almost swallowed a thick fish bone :/ Over all can't wait to try the rest of their menu....

Came here for lunch during the work day with my team The parking is horrible fyi...we parked in the 24 mins few blocks away and kept feeding the meter. The shop has seating indoors and outdoors The staff is friendly kind. Service is quick They have a variety of sandwiches, veggie and meat options. I ended up getting the chicken salad sandwich. It was so good..It had apple slices, so the sandwich was refreshing crunchy. Perfect for a warm day. DIdn't feel all heavy after eating. The bread on this sandwich, is very crunchy, lol tore up the roof of my mouth. I will definitely be back or at least be ordering pick up/doordash to avoid the lack of parking.

Heard good things about this place and have been wanting to try it. Cozy spot steps away from the pier, plenty of metered parking in the area. Went on a weekday (mid-day) so not very crowded. The staff was friendly. I ordered the turkey pesto sandwich and it was delicious! The bread was really the star, fresh and not too heavily salted. I also had the chocolate chip cookie. It was tasty but not my favorite. Looking forward to returning and trying a hot sandwich soon.

I heard about this place via Instagram. They have an excellent location right by the pier. It's a great place to pick up sandwiches if you're hanging out at the beach. Sometimes, there's a line out the door if you come during peak lunch hour but there is also an option to order online. They have tables inside and outside if you choose to dine in. Staff is friendly. My husband and I tried two of their sandwiches: the Combo Grinder and the Turkey Pesto. The Combo Grinder is very meaty, thick, flavorful and a good option if you like Italian style deli meats. I personally prefer the lighter, fresher, nutty flavor profile of the Turkey Pesto. Both sandwiches were tasty and overall good but not amazing. The bread they use though is delicious and on the crispier side. To me, the best sandwich is still Mamie in LA but this is definitely a decent spot if you're craving sandwiches in the beach cities. Parking: can be difficult. Street/meter/garage parking nearby.

Let's take all the hype away from the place and face the reality of the sandwich you are eating. I came this afternoon and was incredibly disappointed. The chicken salad sandwich had huge chunks of chicken, many of which had no sauce, just plain chicken. There's an ingredient in there...something spicy? Horseradish? Whatever it was, terrible. I love a chicken salad sandwich and this one was the worst I have tried. My boyfriend ordered the turkey pesto sandwich and likewise, not good. The bread looks like it would be delicious and it is not. You're waiting in a long line, inside a trendy place, and high expectations which I certainly had. There's limited to no seating on a weekend afternoon. This review is regarding the food alone. Not the service which was perfectly fine. I can't imagine coming here when Mickey's exists.

Ambiance: it's a trendy sandwich shop located near the pier, they have limit seats indoor and outside, and waiting time is moderate during peak hours as the turnover is fast Service: very friendly staff, you place order at the counter top, afterwards it'll be mostly self served, you need to find a table and get your own water, then once the food is ready, the servers will call your name and bring the tray to you table Food: variety choices of cold and hot sandwiches on their menu, and make sure try their zab's hot sauce COMBO GRINDER - ***** Meats Fra' Mani of Salami Cotto, Mortadella, Hot Coppa spicy salami, Pit Smoked Ham, Cheese Aged Provolone, Veggies including Iceberg Lettuce, Tomato, Red Onion, Roasted Peppers, Pepperoncini pickled hot peppers, with seasonings of everything Spice, Lemon Pine Nut Spread, Red Wine Vinaigrette, very fresh and variety ingredients, so rich in flavors, highly recommend REUBEN - ***** RC Provisions Pastrami, Swiss Cheese, Sauerkraut fermented cabbage, Pickapeppa Russian Dressing, Fresh Horseradish, Everything Spice, simple ingredients and delicious compound taste, highly recommend Price: generous protons on protein with premium quality, expect about $20 per person for a satisfying bite

Always wonderful! Lovely to try the new breakfast menu items (8AM-11AM weekends). The Cowboy breakfast burritos really surprised and impressed me. The Rabiola Seasonal Jam was a group favorite. Super unique flavor profile. The BEC didn't stand out to the group but I found it to be a good classic with a twist. I personally loved the smoked salmon, but I think I would have enjoy it even more with some pickled onions or an heirloom. All in all a wonderful addition to the menu. Hoping they bring it to the other locations soon.

Chicken Parm Sandwich w/ Lemonade

Tried Breadhead and WOW... I'm still thinking about that sandwich I ordered the Chicken Parm and let me tell you, it was AMAZING. I love a good hot sandwich, and this one might be one of the best I've had. The marinara tasted super fresh and just pulled everything together perfectly. Also grabbed a lemonade and it tasted like it was freshly made. So refreshing and the perfect pairing. Parking isn't the easiest (meter only), but that's pretty expected being so close to the beach. Definitely worth it though! If you're a sandwich lover like me, this spot is a must try

Probably one of the few places in Manhattan Beach downtown where you can get your meal to-go and not have to wait for a while. It was pretty busy when we came for a late lunch around 1:45pm. You can order online ahead or order in-person at the counter. It took 10 min or less to get our sandwiches. We got the chicken salad and the combo grinder. I actually preferred the chicken salad but only because the combo grinder has so many ingredients that eating it was a challenge. The chicken salad is a solid average sandwich, but i do like some spice so i added some hot sauce at home. I have two comments about the combo grinder. One there needed to be more dressing like your typical Italian sub and two the bread is not best because there's so many ingredients that the bread just slides off, it's too thin and not rustic enough. Overall good sandwiches and chill vibes in you eat inside.

This place is super cute and they have Happy Hour M-F, I believe beers are $5-6? You can order online or order in person like we did. We came on a Friday night and it wasn't too busy, sandwiches were made quick. We really enjoyed the bread and thought it suited well with its toppings. Between the two sandwiches that we tried, we liked the Cuban one more! ig: @cravingswithcat

Ordered the combo and the pork and broccoli. Was the first to arrive in the morning but they had a lot of online orders so it took a while. The person that took our order informed us that all of the sandwiches are now half sizes automatically and they don't do the full giant sandwiches anymore. The bread they use for the sandwich was the highlight for me. They use zabs hot sauce and have little plastic containers available if you ask! Our favorite of the two we chose was the combo, it was fresh but downside was you had to eat it quickly as it got very soggy. The pork and broccoli one was too salty for me so I don't think I would get that again but I do like their hot sandwiches as they don't get soggy very fast. Close walk to the beach so would recommend having a cute picnic on the beach!

They consistently forget major components like condiments or vegetables that are clearly listed in the sandwich description. Lately I've had to remind them or ask for extras just to get what is supposed to come standard. Today it happened again. I asked for oil and vinegar and received a dry, inedible sandwich. When I called to explain that this has happened multiple times, the person I spoke with essentially called me a liar, insisting it had been added, despite the fact that there was no oil on any of the wrappers. When I asked how they planned to make it right, especially given the astronomical prices they charge for sandwiches, I was told they might give me extra oil and vinegar next time and possibly a bag of chips. Nice customer service. Great idea to throw digs at loyal customers. Super smart. The new ownership the past few years is disappointing. It's unfortunate because we live just a few blocks away and come here often. When I order something, I expect to receive what I ordered and I certainly do not expect to be talked down to when there is a mistake on the deli's part. We have spent so much money there over the years but no more. PS they are always super pushy with asking for a tip when you pick up your sandwich too and most of the staff become irritated when you press the "no button" and give you a weird attitude....talk about an environment that's the opposite of your friendly neighborhood grocery store. They should be called greedy's not granny's!
