Exactly as advertised on Google Maps I ordered the Chicken Parmesan Sandwhich and a Diet Coke. They give the soda in the can so I recommend asking for a cup with ice. The food arrived pretty quickly and it looked stunning. The bread was toasted and had a nice brown color. The chicken was perfectly cooked and the crust was not flaky or falling off. The tomato sauce was served in a cup to the side. Which I really loved. The cheese was melted and mixed with the chicken so you tasted the sauce, chicken and cheese with every bite. I would come here again. P.S. I am always wary of getting chicken Parmesan sandwhiches because of the sogginess. We chose to eat at this sandwich place before heading to the beach, ordered two chicken salad sandwiches, one lemonade and a chocolate chip cookie. I sadly never got my lemonade as they didn't give it to me and by the time we got our order I completely forgot about it. The chocolate chip was good it is topped with sea salt. The sandwiches though were not as good as I thought they were going to be. We did add in provolone cheese, but I didn't enjoy the flavoring of the apple butter and that the chicken was chunky. Been wanting to try this place for awhile and it was pretty good. I got the roast beef and combo grinder to share with my boyfriend, and we both liked them. Though sandwich was good, I would say it's pretty over priced for its size and contents. These two sandwiches were about $40 which is the equivalent of two jersey mikes giants. I understand the hype since the bread was really good. As for seating, there's lots but aside from paid or street parking - not much. We were pleasantly surprised by our breakfast at Bread Head! Everything was fresh and really tasty. We sat at the counter facing the street, which made for a nice, relaxing start to our Saturday. The ambiance was welcoming and a great spot to enjoy breakfast. I had the Smoked Salmon sandwich, and it was so good. The salmon, cream cheese, tomatoes, red onion, and sprouts all went really well together. Hubby had the Cowboy Burrito with slow-braised beef, eggs, provolone, roasted poblanos, and tater tots. When I first passed Bread Head there was a long line and I was immediately intrigued. I tried Bread Head on a Saturday shortly after they opened. It was not busy which I appreciated. It's a nice vibe sandwich shop that I imagine is great to get lunch at after a beach day. I decided to share a sandwich with my boyfriend and we decided on the cold Tuna Salad sandwich. I heard about this place via Instagram. They have an excellent location right by the pier. It's a great place to pick up sandwiches if you're hanging out at the beach. My husband and I tried two of their sandwiches: the Combo Grinder and the Turkey Pesto. The Combo Grinder is very meaty, thick, flavorful and a good option if you like Italian style deli meats. I personally prefer the lighter, fresher, nutty flavor profile of the Turkey Pesto. Both sandwiches were tasty and overall good but not amazing. I've ordered from Bread Head regularly, which is why this review exists. On Friday around 2:30 PM, I ordered a sandwich and specifically asked for light mayo. What I received looked like someone emptied half a jar onto the bread. The photos speak for themselves. If this is what "light mayo" looks like, I'd hate to see the regular order. The problems didn't stop there. The lettuce was soggy, the bread wasn't toasted and the tomatoes looked bruised and well past their prime. This wasn't a sandwich made with any sense of care or pride. It was sloppy. What makes it worse is that I brought my sister here instead of one of her usual sandwich spots because I've had enough good experiences to recommend it. Of course, the one time I convince someone else to try it, this is what comes out of the kitchen. We also asked for Zab's hot sauce and somehow ended up with extra mayo and spicy mayo instead, along with additional charges. Between that and paying $4 for a Diet Coke, the entire experience felt like nobody was paying attention. Every restaurant has an off day. I get that. But when you're charging premium prices, customers shouldn't have to wonder whether anyone looked at the sandwich before wrapping it up. There are too many great sandwich shops in the South Bay to spend money on food that leaves the counter looking like this. Always wonderful! Lovely to try the new breakfast menu items (8AM-11AM weekends). The Cowboy breakfast burritos really surprised and impressed me. The Rabiola Seasonal Jam was a group favorite. Super unique flavor profile. The BEC didn't stand out to the group but I found it to be a good classic with a twist. I personally loved the smoked salmon, but I think I would have enjoy it even more with some pickled onions or an heirloom. All in all a wonderful addition to the menu. Probably one of the few places in Manhattan Beach downtown where you can get your meal to-go and not have to wait for a while. It was pretty busy when we came for a late lunch around 1:45pm. You can order online ahead or order in-person at the counter. It took 10 min or less to get our sandwiches. We got the chicken salad and the combo grinder. I actually preferred the chicken salad but only because the combo grinder has so many ingredients that eating it was a challenge. The chicken salad is a solid average sandwich, but i do like some spice so i added some hot sauce at home. I have two comments about the combo grinder. One there needed to be more dressing like your typical Italian sub and two the bread is not best because there's so many ingredients that the bread just slides off, it's too thin and not rustic enough. This place is super cute and they have Happy Hour M-F, I believe beers are $5-6? You can order online or order in person like we did. We came on a Friday night and it wasn't too busy, sandwiches were made quick. We really enjoyed the bread and thought it suited well with its toppings. The sandwiches were very delicious. I got the BLT and the Combo Grinder. The BLT was very good. The bacon was very crispy and flavorful. The mayo and lettuce was fresh and a nice touch. Both breads were very good and I love sourdough and it tasted very good. The combo grinder was also very good. The roasted peppers and pepperpncini added a nice touch and the meat was very tasty. The staff was very nice and they brought your order to you after your order. They also were very attentive in taking what you already finished off your plate or space. The space is very cool and the atmosphere is very chill. It's an open space concept with patio seating for the vibes. The decor is very neat also. There is lots of seating whether you want a table or a bar seating to chill. I want to come back to try their Calabrian turkey and turkey pesto.
