Came here on a saturday night and it was poppin. We had to wait a bit but got seated outdoors which is pretty nice. I ordered the spicy rigatoni with sausage. It was really flavorful, quite spicy, and big portion. I really enjoyed it and felt like it was authentic pasta, and it made me really full and heavy after. It is quite expensive, but I thought it was worth a try but probably will not return.

It is always a pleasure to dine in downtown in El Segundo and I was excited to finally check out Jame Enoteca, which is located right at the heart of area. I was impressed with the clean and modern look of Jane Enoteca from the moment I walked in. Their dishes consist of several handmade pastas, salads and Italian inspired comfort food. My friend and I chose to start our meals with the Meatballs and Brussels Sprouts. Being a Brussels Sprouts fan, I really enjoyed their roasted crispy Brussels sprouts that were tossed in schiaffoni dressing and finished with sesame. Equal in deliciousness were their Meatballs. The Meatballs were tender, rich and saucy. These starters were a great way to kick off our meal here. For our mains, we got their Paccheri Lisci and Tonnarelli. The Paccheri Lisci had a bit of a spicy kick to it. It has spicy pork sausage sugo, fennel, sage and pecorino. It was meaty and flavorful. The Tonnarelli or Cacio e Pepe contrasted nicely with the Paccheri Lisci. This pasta dish was simple, sharp and peppery. This was more bold versus saucy. Last but not least we had some cookies for dessert. I loved the fresh baked snickerdoodle and chocolate chip cookies. It was a sweet and perfect ending to the meal here. Overall, I really enjoyed dining at Jame Enoteca. I am now looking forward to trying out their sister restaurant Jame Taqueria down the street.

I visited this restaurant yesterday with family during lunch. The food here was very good. The meatballs I had as an appetizer were light, not dense. The sauce was well balanced and wispy. I usually don't like olives, but I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed the olives here. I think it had to do with the fact that these olives were marinated, not brined. I don't like briny stuff. The Tonnarelli was the highlight of the meal. The sauce was thick and creamy, and coated the pasta nicely. The pasta was cooked al dente, making it perfectly firm and chewy. For my drink, I had the Light and Stormy mocktail which had lemon, ginger, lime, and mint in it. It was slightly carbonated and tasted like a really good virgin mojito. I would say the service here was good, not great. It took like 10 minutes for a server to come to us after we were seated to take our order. However, our server was very nice and knowledgeable about the menu items. Parking here was tricky. There were lots of reserved parking spaces on the lot for specific businesses. You may get lucky finding an open parking spot on site, but we had to drive around to find one. This place is a nice spot for family gatherings. I think we will be back soon to try out more items from the menu.

Good food and generous portions. Not mind-blowing, but still solid enough that I'd return if I'm nearby.

I came here for lunch with my friend and it was amazing! They have a great lunch deal. We got 2 different salads - Kale Salad and Spicy Ceasar Salad. Both were yummy but I particularly loved the crunch in the kale salad. We both did the Spicy Rigatoni pasta and it was soo good. Delicious sauce and perfectly al dente. Will definitely be back!

Amazing!!! Everything was absolutely perfect! I came here for lunch with a friend today. This was our first time trying out this restaurant. I rarely eat pasta at a restaurant unless it's freshly handmade pasta. They make their pasta daily so it was a win win for me! I chose the "Hollywood" style Tagliatelle al Ragu and my friend had the Spicy Rigatoni. I tried both. Excellent! The pasta was so fresh and the sauces were perfectly executed. The service was outstanding from beginning to end. The restaurant has a modern decor and plenty of seating! They are located in a small strip mall. Parking can be a challenge. I can't wait to come back and try some of the appetizers and salads. Highly recommend giving them a try.

Very busy on a Friday night! But thankfully, they are located in a small plaza that has a parking lot. It wasn't too difficult to find street parking as well. My friend and I had a reservation and were seated outside on their patio, which wasn't cold thankfully. The waitress gave us a rundown of the specials and offered some helpful menu suggestions. I ended up going with the spicy rigatoni with added sausage. It tasted great! For dessert, I had to go with the warm bread pudding, which is seen some great pictures of in other Yelp reviews. It did not disappoint. It was a massive slice. Personally, the giant dollop of whipped cream on top was too much for me (I originally thought it was ice cream from the pictures), but the bread pudding was lovely. This is a nice restaurant, and I had a great dinner here!

Our waitress, Jordan, was so kind & helpful! They have, both, indoor & outdoor seatings- which are inviting & spacious! We ordered the Spicy Rigatoni & the Squid Ink pasta! Both dishes had excellent flavor but I def. enjoyed the softness and uniqueness of the squid ink! They also have a shared parking lot & garage!!!

12/10/2025 Been a long while since I was last here! Was craving the Scarpinocc, so had to drive all the way here to eat this! There were so many people today for lunch! I was there to pickup on a Wednesday at 1:00pm. It was a packed house! Except for their one room for events, the whole place was packed both indoors and outdoors! Was so glad to have gotten takeout that day. ORDER Ordered online for pickup. I wanted the Scarpinocc, which is only available for dinner at Jame to eat at the restaurant, although not offered for lunch. Strangely, Scarpinocc it is available for takeout only for lunch. So decided to do takeout. Scarpinocc - Love the brown butter with balsamic vinegar reduction sauce to bring out that buttery flavor and that vinegar flavor from the balsamic that adds dimension. A good amount of parmesan cheese, so it added another nutty flavor to it as well. The meat filling did seem slightly different than the last time I ate this. It was a lot more shredded, almost to the point where it looked ground up. However, everything was delicious and pasta was cooked well! I've had their Scarpinocc at their restaurant and it is a sizeable amount of food, so doing takeout means it will be a smaller amount of food, since their takeout boxes are smaller. So you do sacrifice getting less than what you've paid for. Very satisfied with this dish inspite of it being takeout. Ospi's Crispy Provolone - This was a lot more crunchier than expected! Like double-fried crunchiness! I think some people might appreciate that, but I thought it was too crunchy. The gooey provolone cheese was delightful and loved that sweet cheese flavor and that cheese pull! The vodka sauce was a perfect pairing. Nutella Mascarpone Cake - This has been a favorite ever since its debut! Love that balance of creamy mascarpone and Nutella chocolate mousse. The texture is more like cheesecake. I could be wrong, but I think there's a layer of dark caramel on top of the Nutella chocolate mousse or in the mousse. I can taste caramel in it. That chocolate shortbread crust is so good too! Buttery, chocolate shortbread crust! Not sure why it's called cake and not pie, but love, love, love this dessert! Vodka Sauce (16oz) - Decided to purchase a jar to make my own pasta at home. It tastes exactly like the sauce from the restaurant. Recommend purchasing if you love their vodka sauce! CUSTOMER SERVICE I was stuck in traffic and running late for the pickup, so I called to postpone the pickup time. The host was friendly and made sure that everything was done accordingly. When I got there, the same host greeted me and made sure everything was packed and ready to go. Great service all around! PARKING This mini strip mall always has parking issues. It is jam-packed and very difficult to find parking! There is additional parking at the parking structure, but I luckily found a quick parking spot for pickup. Would definitely recommend coming early as possible for either lunch or dinner if you want the best parking spot! Parking is a massive headache here!

First time, dining here with my family and we really enjoyed it. Theres is a parking lot, but on this Saturday night, it was full. Theres also street parking but with so many restaurants on the same street I had to circle before I found a spot. I had a reservation, which is great because inside the restaurant was just as packed. We were greeted and promptly seated. There a very lively crowd and at times it was pretty loud. Nevertheless, we all enjoyed our food. I had the Cacio Pepe with chicken. It was creamy with just the right seasoning. I also tried some of the other dishes, which included a delicious mushroom lasagna.. (I honestly never thought that would be possible). The chicken Parmesan was delicious and the serving size was good for the price. We got a side of the pasta to go with it. Everything was very good. I was full and still had leftovers so no room for dessert this time but definitely next.. if you're coming on the weekend, definitely make a reservation and bring your patience for parking.

A charming modern Italian restraunt with varied seating from quiet, bar, outdoor searing, etc. Friendly staff and service with decent selection and variation of food. We had the non alcoholic drinks stormy something and cucumber something. Both delightful and refreshing. Appetizers we had the deep fried provolone which were like cheese curds and vodka sauce. 8.3/10. The chopped salad was light and had variety of layers. 8.5/10. Roasted Brussels sprouts were crispy and delicious but nothing extraordinary. 8.6/10. Branzino was a delicious and fried well but was lacking something... like anything. For 42 dollars maybe some vegetables or a potato. Shrug. It was just so lonely. 8.9/10. Squid ink pasta had an interesting texture. That lacked that bite. Probably from the ink. Not sure if the red sauce was the best combo with it as it was a bit mush with the acidity. 7.5/10. The chef special was the pea pasta and actually quite delightful with small pockets of joy squeezing out like a soup dumpling. 9.0/10. Lemon pie: light and true to taste: 9.0/10. The chocolate was decent. Just a bit too sweet for me 7.8/10. Overall, a great place to enjoy modern Italian fare.

The spot is like the ultimate girls meet up. I came here with a group of my girlfriends and had a blast. I also noticed that there were at least three other groups that night with girls all catching up. The restaurant had really nice vibe and looked simple and clean. We sat outdoors and there were heat lamps so we weren't cold. The fried cheese tasted really good with the sauce. It was crispy and the cheese pull was thick and stretchy. Our server was amazing, very attentive, and he gave us great recommendations. He also gave us complementary bubbly, and even gave a mocktail sample to my friend who wasn't drinking. The pasta was amazing. Had just the right amount of protein and wasn't salty. Really liked the sauce and the pasta tasted fresh. The parking lot is on the smaller side and there are a lot of popular restaurants here so it can take a while to find a spot. There's always street parking.

Kale Salad with almonds and the best dressing

Update: Last time I was here was right after the pandemic where we we seated outdoors. My perception of the size of this place is incorrect or they've expanded?! It's the place to be on a Saturday night. My friend had gotten there early and pre-ordered us the cutest mini Espresso Martinis. Great start! We then ordered our cocktails. I do have to say we were shocked at how dimunitive our "regular" cocktails were considering we just had mini martinis. We ordered "family style" aka girl dinner the following: Starting with the bread with olives and Almonds, of course the amazing Kale Salad with the perfect dressing, Wanderer Ribeye done medium with yummy Chimichurri and the Mandilli with Almond pine nut pesto. I love almonds! All of it was delicious. I would definitely come back to try more on the menu. The ambiance inside and on the heated patio is nice. I think it's fun for a group of four or a date place. Expect to walk just a little bit after parking on the street. There is a nearby parking garage and small lot but it's small and fills up quickly.

The Strand House offers good food, goodservice, and amazing views and vibes at reasonable, but upscale prices. We came with my family for an early dinner on a Sunday afternoon. Off the lunch menu we had the Italian panini ($29), which was a surprisingly complex sandwich with mortadella, salami, onions, lettuce, fresh Marzano tomatoes, and many other vegetables. It was served with an exceptional set of fries, which had a great amount of garlic and the perfect blend of crisp on the outside and softness on the inside, along with tangy ketchup. The children got the pasta bolognese ($14), which was a standard bolognese, although the pasta was a little overcooked. We also got a child salmon ($21), a surprisingly generous piece of fish, well cooked with a somewhat crispy exterior and soft interior alongside broccolini and whipped mashed potatoes. The service was decent - our server collected our order, checked on us appropriately, and generally took care of us throughout our visit. As the pictures suggest, the interior is quite upscale, scattered across three floors with a view overlooking the main road and the beach itself. This led to an excellent, breezy atmosphere and spectacular views, perfect for a hot day. Prices are a little on the elevated side, but not excessive, given the highly popular location of this restaurant and excellent views. Overall, The Strand House offers an appropriately upscale lunch or dinner at an elevated price for the discerning customer looking for good food and excellent views with a price to match. Tin Roof has an excellent cocktail program as does their Simmzy's locations. We started out with Brussel Sprouts. Definitely a hit with the whole table. Tin Roof definitely has the best around, flavorful with a nice crunch, never soggy! We all ordered a variery of starters for our first course. Several had Ceasar Salads. Several had the Watermelon and Feta Salad. One had the Bloddy Mary Deviled Eggs, and another had the Fig; Pistashio, and Cottage Cheese Toast. Everyone loved what they ordered. We were full before our next courses arrived! Our server was Malcolm. He was very attentive even though it was an extremely busy afternoon since it was Father's Day. He was very helpful explaining some of the options only offered on today's menu. They offered a Bistro Burger (five out of six of us ordered!) and I wanted to know how different this burger was from their Simmzy's Burger (my personal favorite). He was spot on, explained it was smokey in flavor and quite different with the pretzel bun. It was so.good, served with fries (best shoestring fries!), onion rings, and piled so high you had to use a fork and knife to eat it! We left beyond full! Definitely we will be back soon!

To drink, I had the refreshing Lychee Mocktail, and we also tried King Plus's five-sake flight, which is a great way to experience a variety of authentic Japanese sakes. Then we headed inside for the hot pot experience. We sampled four different broths--Kombu, Tonkotsu, Spicy Miso, and Sukiyaki--before cooking premium beef and fresh seafood right at our table. The Royal Seafood Set featured shrimp, Atlantic salmon, fresh scallops, fish balls, and the chef's curated seafood selection, while the Royal Beef Experience included ribeye, chuck roll, and beef belly. But the highlight for me was the Japanese A5 Miyazaki Wagyu. It was beautifully marbled, incredibly tender, and practically melted in my mouth after just a few seconds in the broth. We wrapped up the meal with a refreshing Yuzu Pop Sparkler, creamy matcha ice cream, and rich matcha cheesecake. If you're looking for more than just hot pot in Redondo Beach, King Plus Shabu Shabu is definitely a spot you have to try.

His espresso martini was so delicious! It was my first time trying one and it did not disappoint. My partner and I had the crispy rice with spicy tuna and the shrimp taquitos, while on the pricier side it is definitely worth it. The spicy tuna crispy rice was so rich in flavor, and the crispy rice truly was crispy. The shrimp taquitos were unlike anything i've tried before! I was expecting some classic taquitos filled with shrimp but this place really goes above and beyond with this dish. The shrimps were wrapped (as you can see in the photo) and it was so good!! I definitely plan on coming back if i'm ever in the area. The ambience of this place is beautiful too, we came during the day but I really want to see how it is at night. I would say this is a great spot for a date night with a partner or friends.

The day of the reservation, the host manager called to confirm that we wanted to share the news at dessert, and if there were any other accommodations we needed, which was very sweet. When we arrived at our table, they had a card signed by staff congratulating us, and it was a night to remember. Great food, great service, and the warm hand towels after my dad demolished the baby back ribs were the cherry on top! Our group also ordered the chilean sea bass, salmon, and bistro plate. 10/10. One of our final meals as a family of two was Valentine's Day 2026. It was our first time being seated indoors, and the ambiance was dim and romantic. The meatloaf special was fantastic! Fast forward to June 2026, and we brought our 3-month-old son to his first NIck's meal (unfortunately, he could not partake) and to celebrate my husband's first Father's Day. On this reservation, I put in a request for outdoor seating that gave us enough room to park our stroller and car seat, and they were able to accommodate that. They were also understanding when me and my husband were running a few minutes past our reservation time due to fhe baby, and we appreciated the flexibility. Noise level was moderate, but definitely quieter outside. If you get nothing else from this review, just remember this: ORDER THE WARM BUTTER CAKE. YOU WILL NEVER REGRET IT. Thanks for the consistent hospitality and great meals, Nick's!

We started with the Fett'unta and Grilled Sprouting Cauliflower, and both were excellent. The cauliflower was easily one of the standout dishes of the night. For our mains, we shared the Love Letter Discoteca pasta, Whole Branzino, Angus Ribeye, and both the Japanese Mushrooms and Spicy Soppressata pizzas. Everything was flavorful, well prepared, and perfect for sharing. Unfortunately, the rest of the experience fell a little flat. The dining room was very loud, and we were seated right by the front door, so there was a constant flow of people walking by. I understand every restaurant has a few less-than-ideal tables. I worked in restaurants myself but it definitely affected the experience. If you're dining with a smaller group, I'd recommend sitting at the bar instead. From what I remember from previous visits, the bartenders are fantastic, and I actually prefer the atmosphere there. I had also noted on my reservation that we were celebrating my birthday. I wasn't expecting a complimentary dessert or anything, but I was surprised that neither the host nor our server acknowledged it with even a simple "Happy Birthday." It's a small detail, but thoughtful hospitality goes a long way in making a celebration feel special.

We started with the ceviche in Clamato with pieces of crab and avocado served with a delicious tortilla chips. I absolutely loved the flavor profile and couldn't get enough of the Clamato sauce. Then we moved to the weekend only special sea urchin, which Stephanie's parents personally bring down from Santa Barbara for weekend service. I'm usually indifferent at best to sea urchin, but this was excellent Then we shared the Jonah Crab Fusilli, another winner. I was driving, but hubby ordered a banhattan and it was another winner. They also have some beer and wine options as well as a full bar. Though very full by this point, just couldn't resist the pretzel bread pudding. The bread portion was crispy on the outside and warm and soft on the inside with a delicious salty caramel sauce. Served with a very smooth and delectable scoop of ice cream. There's indoor and outdoor seating. If you want to sit inside best to make a reservation. We did not have reservations, but were lucky to get outside seating. Service was fluid with different people coming around to ensure everything was tidy. Really enjoyed one of the staff, a young girl who cleared our table and delivered some of the dishes. Loved her chill surferish vibes.

Definitely suited our sensibilities to be close to the heart of this treasure, plus it can get cold out there! When our friendly and helpful server learned that we'd never been to FwD before, we were both treated a tasty amuse, a Peruvian scallop, one of their specialties. Served chilled, absolute heaven. Simple, fresh, delicious, and very pretty atop its shell. We ordered an appetizer, a different scallop dish, Pan Seared Diver Scallops. (Parsnip-potato puree, brown butter ponzu, capers). So good. Succulent, perfectly cooked and devilishly satisfying with its rich, savory flavor. We enjoyed the one dish that have been on their menu since the beginning, Koshihikari Rice. (short-grain Japanese rice, overnight chicken dashi, shrimp, uni, blue crab, cage-free egg yolk.) Wow. So much happening here, and yet it's a complete package. All the ingredients meld together sumptuously. It akin to Paella, or perhaps to a stuffed Risotto, although the Koshihikari Rice was very much its own dish. The server swerved and mixed the egg yolk on our plate, and we loved it. Our strategy to try a number of dishes and yet still have room for dessert worked. Many great choices, and I doubt we'd be disappointed with anything. However, we had heard from the table next to use that the key-lime pie was must. Happily, they were right. This Key Lime Pie is just sweet and just tart enough. Though I am not Key Lime Pie expert, this one struck me as imaginative with its meringue colony crowding the pie's surface for additional dessert debauchery. There nothing overwhelmingly citrusy about it, and it was light enough to help you feel satisfied and just right. The coffee was good, too. This is a low-key yet lovely dining experience in Manhattan Beach.
