We came in before closing for a quick drink. Restaurant was full with a birthday dinner. Everyone looked like they were enjoying themselves. We got to know the bartender Javier a bit, he was kind, easy to chat with and attentive. I had a porque no glass of red wine and my friend had a whiskey sour that she enjoyed. We were a little bummed we didn't eat here but nonetheless we are happy to walk into a place that we look forward to dining at. We look forward for some food next time!!!

Decent enough local Italian eatery. Good portions and service. Sitting at the bar before dinner was a disappointment with poor service.

I had this restaurant bookmarked for a while and I'm glad I finally made it in. Its in a shopping center, plenty of parking and nicely decorated inside, with dim lighting. The food was yummy and the service was great. Our waiter was very attentive to us and helpful.

Seafood combo pasta

I'm a long-time regular at this restaurant, and I absolutely love it. It always has such a cozy and warm atmosphere. Yesterday, I went there for a Christmas dinner, and the vibe was wonderful--the decorations were beautiful as well. I always come here for the seafood combo pasta. It's never heavy or greasy, so I end up finishing every last bit of the sauce. It's a great place not only for spending quality time with family, but I also highly recommend it for a romantic candle-lit dinner with your loved one.

I simply love this restaurant. Lido Di Manhattan is a restaurant located in a shopping plaza which is amazing since there are numerous parking spots. When you walk into the restaurant, the ambiance is so cozy and romantic. It's a good sized restaurant for anyone looking for a beautiful restaurant for a large party or even a date night. When I came here with my friend, we were pleasantly welcomed by the warm hostess. We sat at the bar and had great conversations with her while she told us the history of the restaurant and everything it has to offer. For food, we ordered the calamari, another dish we shared and a few red wines off the menu. We also ordered the tiramisu which was hands down the best tiramisu I ever had. Each food item was so fresh and you can tell was home made. We will definitely be back to try more items!

These REALLY looked and tasted like frozen meatballs. So disappointed

...This place USED TO BE GOOD when I worked in the area... but I don't think my meatballs were legit. They looked and tasted like frozen. Spaghetti craving satisfied, but really disappointed. The garlic sauce for the bread was VERY GOOD, but the bread was less than adequate, especially for an Italian restaurant. It lacked flavor and didn't seem fresh. The salad was good, but had a few wilted pieces. The dressing was a bit too vinegary as it made us cough.

Chicken Sausage Rigatoni

I decided to make the trek from Orange County to Manhattan Beach for the day. I admittedly have been watching Kitchen Nightmares and learned that this restaurant has stood the test of time. My server was kind and made an excellent suggestion. I enjoyed my Chicken Sausage Rigatoni and then made room for the Tiramisu. A lovely glass of Syrah and an abundance of solitude in a lightly filled restaurant on an easy Monday night. I had a great time enjoying my meal and look forward to reheating my leftovers for tomorrow's lunch. Thank you

I opted for the kale salad (half portion) and the Paccheri Lisci (spicy pork sausage sugo, fennel, sage, pecorino) while my friend got the meatballs and TONNARELLI (cacio e pepe). All the food was excellently prepared and very flavorful. kale salad: perfectly dressed and if I wanted something lighter for lunch I'd be perfectly happy having that with the chicken another time Meatballs: I only had a bite but the meat was tender and the tomato sauce that came with it was delicious Paccheri Lisci: pasta was perfectly al dente, had a nice kick of spice, and the sauce was perfectly seasoned. This was my best bite of the meal. TONNARELLI: I had a bite and usually cacio e pepe is not really something I enjoy since I don't particularly care for the gaminess of sheep's cheese but I really enjoyed my tasting of this. I'm sure if you are a fan, this one would hit it out of the park. Service was good overall, food was divine, and I was happy with my overall experience here. My brother, who doesn't like to drive shows this restaurant in Manhattan Beach on a Saturday in which there was a volleyball tournament, one of the biggest events in Manhattan Beach the entire year. Needless to say, I will not reduce the rating of the restaurant due to the impossibility of finding a parking spot. I drove around for 45 minutes and my cousin just drove around for over an hour looking for a spot so we can have a 1 o'clock brunch. Setting that aside which is not the fault of the restaurant, the inside of the restaurant is light and airy with a very attentive staff. I ordered the gluten-free penny Pomodoro, which was delicious. My cousins ordered the: Meatball sandwich, Bun, Housemade Beef Meatballs, San Marzano Tomato Sauce, Mozzarella, Parmesan Italian Cold Cut Hero Torpedo Bun, Salami, Mortadella, Cured Ham, Provolone, Tomato, Red Onion, Arugula Frittata SEV Vegetables & Goat Cheese, Fresh Baguette, Jam, Roasted Potatoes Everybody loved their meal and the manager came to our table to give us some insight on the three Slay restaurants on Manhattan Avenue. My cousins tried the olive oil cake and they gave their approval. If you know a trick for the parking and/or do not go during the Volleyball tournament, you will enjoy the food served at this restaurant.

Ordered the soup of the day which was a delicious vegetable minestrone. Also, ordered a build your own pasta dish. Started by getting a recommendation from our very helpful & polite server (he was working solo) about their long list of available sauces. We started with the Garlic Butter. (He also was very big on their Pink sauce) Paired it with Fettuccini noodles and perfectly sautéed shrimp. Over or Undercooked shrimp is gross. Ours was perfect. . Another winner (and great leftovers). When we got the bill I noticed the soup was billed for $7.50 vs $6. I asked the waiter about the discrepancy and he said something about a bowl vs a cup that usually comes with the special. I was a little confused as none of that was mentioned when ordering but I accepted it . Without me asking he brought back a new charge slip with the $6. Very nice of him By the time we left two more parties of two arrived. Both with an adult and child. I don't know enough about the Hermosa Beach Monday lunch scene but I'm surprised this spot doesn't have more customers. I'm glad we stopped by and will try to get back for dinner. One more plus (for me). I love old school r&b music and enjoyed all the great tunes!

I'm guessing since they're coming to a permanent closure, it only makes sense that the quality of the experience (food and service) had began to going down. We were seated immediately, so we were off to a good start. It took a bit of time for Daniel (yep! We got the same server from the last time) to come around and get our orders. It wasn't too bad since the wait gave us the opp to decide on apps and mains, so we got to put all our orders in at once. CALAMARI: Battered thin and crispy. Dash of lemon juice made it better. Quality? Yes. Quantity? Not so much. I thought it was pricey for the amount we got. PEPPERCORN POLPETTINE: Meatballs in cream sauce. Even with the whole peppercorns, the sauce was good. The meatballs, however, didn't taste or look homemade at all. (I recently made frozen meatball soup at home and the meatball's flavor was pretty much similar.) So.. meh... BRUSCHETTA ALLA CHECCA: This was the best app out of the three. Crostini was perfect and the toppings were all perfectly balanced. SPAGHETTI AI NERO DI SEPPIA: Looked great, but lacked flavor. Asked for fresh grated cheese and added black pepper which helped a little, but still missing something... Hubbers got the linguine pesca mare which he loved (he emptied his plate!) So I guess that says a lot. And I'm really glad he liked it, being his birthday and all. He also chose crème brûlée to finish off his birthday treat. (No, they didn't comp it - which is fine, and I don't expect them - or any business - to, even more since they are shutting down. I understand they need all the profit they can get.) Overall a little less stellar than the first visit. I'll admit I was a teenee bit disappointed since we had an amazing experience the first time. All the same, I'm still glad of the experience and wish them well on their future endeavors!
