1 1/2 LB Maine Lobster MP $58
Angela A.

Started our early dinner with the Kiwi vodka cocktail and the Lilikoi Sour (Hawaiian yellow passion fruit). The kiwi was definitely the standout, though the sour was still good. For appetizers, we ordered a small clam chowder and the salmon sashimi. The sashimi was topped with way too many crispy onions, but the jalapeños added a much-needed spice kick. The chowder itself was solid. We shared a lobster (market price $58) with broccolini (upcharge) and mashed potatoes. We also ordered 6 oysters during happy hour and then two more after. Unfortunately, those weren't HH priced since you have to order them in increments of six, which the server didn't mention. Service was decent, though surprisingly slow for a Monday when it wasn't very busy. Parking is street only. Despite that, I'll definitely be visiting more often.

One of the best seafood options in the South Bay. Open since 1981 they specialize in seafood, but have a pretty large menu with all sorts of other options as well. Parking is really easy, there is a two-story parking garage across the street with metered parking or you can find a metered street spot. Inside is fairly large, complete full bar and many different table seating options. Our server was very polite and everything that we ordered came out very fast. For this visit I chose the Lobster Bisque to start and really liked it. It was well balanced and had some nice flavors. I did think it could have had more lobster meat in it, but still it tasted great. For my entrée I chose the Chilean Seabass and I thought it was amazing. The dill piccata sauce was a real hit and everything about it was just great. I would highly recommend and this would especially be a good spot for dinner with friends or family.

Delicious food and the best Cioppino we have had by far. We drove one hour just because we wanted to get the Cioppino again. The shrimp scampi was also delightful with creamy rich sauce but I must say that the portion was dramatically smaller than we anticipated. Not a good option if you are very hungry. As always, great vibes, delicious food and wonderful servers.

Good seafood spot. I had the branzino which was probably the best dish among the 5 people in our group. Husband got the cioppino. That was good but it had a creamy broth that was different from the typical cioppino broth. Not what he expected. Oysters were fresh and tasty. And loved the unlimited fresh sourdough bread. Service was good too. Artichoke appetizer was just ok. Would've been better if they put it on the grill after boiling. But it seemed it was just boiled. Taste was a bit bland. Overall though a good experience.

Honestly, decided to give this place a try just because was looking for any close Resy places to where I was staying, and boy am I glad I did. The clam chowder was bomb and the lobster tacos were just as tasty, Substituted the rice for garlic fries which were some of the best I've had in a while. Really cozy interior and the restaurant is also a block away from the beach.

Kids Penne Pasta with Butter with a side of Grilled Chicken

Came to FishBar with our extended family to celebrate my mother in law's birthday, and overall it was a really nice experience. They were great about accommodating our reservation for thirteen people, which already made the night easier. Our waitress, Ms. Erica, as our little girls called her, was absolutely amazing. She was patient, kind, and handled our big group like a pro. The restaurant itself is beautiful and has a really appealing vibe. My husband ordered the shrimp scampi and said it was good, just not something he was blown away by. I had the salmon with sautéed spinach and mashed potatoes. The salmon was a good portion size, which I was relieved about after seeing some reviews. It tasted great. The mashed potatoes honestly stole the show. The sautéed spinach was pretty bland. Our daughter ordered the penne pasta with butter, and I added the grilled chicken for her. The chicken was good, but she was not a fan of the pasta. It did not have much flavor and the presentation was not very appealing. She did enjoy the strawberry lemonade, so at least we had a win there. At the end of the meal, Erica surprised us by bringing out two plates of their ice cream sandwich desserts so we could sing happy birthday. It was such a sweet touch and made the moment special. All in all, I would come back to try a few other dishes. The service was wonderful, the atmosphere was great, and the experience for our birthday celebration was memorable.

We came in for late dinner on a Friday night and were quickly seated. We enjoyed the nautical beach vibes and our friendly server. We both got plates from the mesquite grill. I liked my scallops, perfectly seasoned and enjoyed the broccoli rabe - if ordered again I would try something other than the baked potatoes. My partner got the blackened salmon with mashed potatoes (creamy and delicious) and Brussels sprouts which came with a hefty serving of friend onions. We split a side of mac and cheese which was a perfect portion for 2. Lots of options on this menu so I would definitely return to try new things.

Banana bread pudding

3.75 stars rounded up to 4. I came here for dinner Sunday night. It's a nice restaurant with nice decor and a bit of an elegant feel. We had some grilled oysters and the crispy rice tuna for appetizers, which were both so tasty and a bit spicy. I ordered the coconut crusted mahi mahi as my main course and was a bit disappointed by it. The rice was hard and the fish and sauce didn't have as much flavor as I was hoping for. For dessert, I ordered the banana bread pudding, which was a great choice and somewhat made up for the disappointing main course. The service was good, as our waitress made sure we had what we asked for.

Cioppino
Katie U.

Looks fancy on the outside but is more casual and beachy on the inside. We made a reservation online to secure a spot. It was busy but not every table was filled. For food we got the coconut shrimp and clam chowder apps. For dinner we ordered the Cioppino and blackened mahi mahi with the loaded baked potato. Both were delicious and we'll definitely be back. Parking is easy and convenient at the public lot across the street.

Wood Grilled Branzino

I have had an excellent experience at Fishbar in Manhattan Beach. The seafood here is really good, and everything I have tried has been flavorful and well-prepared. I especially loved the branzino--it is now one of my favorite dishes. Our waitress actually recommended it, and I am glad she did because it did not disappoint. The salmon tempura was something different for me, but it was definitely good. I also tried the clam chowder, and that was solid as well. I ended up coming back a second time and brought my mom, and she really enjoyed it too. That says a lot. We did have a small hiccup with one of the soups we took to go, but what stood out was how management handled it. They acknowledged the issue and resolved it in a way that made me feel valued as a customer. That kind of service makes you want to come back. The staff has always been friendly, welcoming, and easy to talk to, which is something you really appreciate these days. Overall, great food, great service, and a place I will definitely be returning to. I would absolutely encourage others to check it out.

Grilled Mahi-mahi
Christopher M.

The food and service was impeccable! This was my wife and I's first time visiting this restaurant. The Mahi mahi over the charcoal grill was hands down the best Mahi mahi I have ever had. My wife had the crusted Mahi mahi and she said the same thing. We highly recommend the restaurant and we will definitely becoming back.

Peruvian Scallops and Salmon
Kathy Z.

This is my new favorite spot in town. The Peruvian Scallops and the Crispy Rice Spicy Tuna are my standouts, but I also highly recommend the Fish & Chips and even the Salmon Entree. Prices are on the pricier end, but it's worth every penny. Reservations are best, as they do get quite busy in the evening. There's a variety of seating. Not sure this is the place for large groups, but 2-6 can sit comfortably in here. There's also a nice bar area and ample TVs indoors. If you drop in, the bar is a great option for both drinks and food. Parking is available on the street or in a nearby parking garage. That garage is pretty tight and hard to access, so I suggest looking on the street first. I will be back to try out the Happy Hour very soon!

Fishbar Margarita
Azy G.

I came in during happy hour and was able to snag a parking spot right outside. My server Ale was so kind and hospitable and gave amazing service from the moment I walked in. Not to mention how beautiful the interior holiday decor was. I was pleasantly impressed with the food. Peruvian Scallops were delicious and the chimichurri like sauce was so delicious. Margarita was perfect and they had tajin for the rim, yay! My shrimp scampi blew me away and smelled so good. I'm very happy I came and can't wait to try more next time! Very welcoming staff that make you feel at home while dining.

Incredible food & Great service! All around amazing!…read more Food: - Appetizers: Ordered the hamachi sashimi, tuna tartare, and kumamoto oysters. All were delicious. The hamachi sashimi was my favourite. Fresh with a very flavourful zesty sauce. Tuna tartare was also fresh and delicious. My only negative with this appetiser was that it was small in relation to the price. Nonetheless, still recommend, as it was delicious! - Mains: Ordered 2 mains: a seafood broth (sorry! forgot the name of it) and the buttery crab roll. The seafood dish was supposed to be tomato based, but we didn't taste much of any tomatoes. It was really tasty, but didn't understand how it was supposed to be tomato based (as the server told us). The shrimp wasn't gummy and was cooked to perfection. In my opinion, the buttery crab roll could've had more flavour. There was a lot of butter on it, as it was dripping down, but it could've used a bit more flavour for the crab itself. Fries that came with it were next level! - Dessert: The BEST Key lime pie I've ever had! Our amazing server recommended the key lime pie to us. I was hesitant to order it because I'm personally not a fan of key lime pie in general. But we ordered it because our server was really enthusiastic about it. OMG! It was amazing. It was the perfect ratio of sweet to lime zest and the crust was made to perfection. If there's one thing I would highly recommend you order would be this key lime pie. Do not leave without ordering this! Service: Amazing all around. Our server was great. She was super kind and enthusiastic which we loved. Food came out within a very appropriate time and with good timing. We never felt rushed to leave which was great. Ambiance: Unfortunately, we weren't able to dine inside (which we wanted to), so we sat outside so didn't get much of the nice ambiance we were hoping for. I wouldn't recommend sitting outside especially when it's colder out because they don't have any head lamps and a lot of people walk by right besides your table. I've lived close by for years and I gotta say, after coming to Quality Seafood twice (once in Nov…read more '25 and in March '26), I will definitely stop taking this South Bay gem for granted. I've only had the pleasure of having the following items below, but I'll be back in the coming years to try more. - Calamari [7.7/10]: regardless of what size you order, the portion is generous. This place doesn't overdue it with the batter and lets the flavor the fresh squid shine - which I adore. Only giving this dish its rating because there are a few Italian spots in Torrance that have my heart when it comes to the best calamari. - Fish Tacos [8.5/10]: Every bite gives a nice crunch of both batter and fish. I've had unpleasant experiences where I've had pockets of crispy batter, here the fish tacos are so great it actually doesn't need much support from lemon and/or tartar sauce. Be sure to order a couple of these bad boys during happy hour for $5 each. - Clam Chowder [8.3/10]: This place hits the mark on the texture of a classic chowder. Admittedly my cup could have used a touch of salt. I would have liked a bigger portion for what I paid for, but if you're in the mood for something hot to compliment your fried seafood - this is worth getting. This is also featured on the happy hour menu for $5 - Garlic Fries [10/10]: My favorite bite from this place so far. Not on the happy hour menu, but 100% worth getting and eating with your fish, shrimp, crab, lobster, etc. Perfect amount of seasoning and that white wet sauce on top is so so so addicting. The unsung hero of my most recent visit was Jose over at Station 20. In addition to taking my order, he single handedly called out orders for everyone by the dining the area during the end of happy hour rush. A whole wave of customers came in less than 10 mins I placed my order so I can only imagine how overwhelming things were on the service side of things. For my most recent visit, most of my order came in and my garlic fries came in last. I could tell there was a mix up in the kitchen, but Jose apologized and said a new order would be ready for me in less than 5. Definitely worth the delay/wait imo. Food is great. Seating is limited. Customer service is superb. But once you fish your food, you gotta take a long walk along the pier. It's a wonderful way to rejuvenate and make sure the quality seafood digests well. Can't wait to explore more of the menu, including the happy hour drinks.

I've been coming to Quality Seafood for the past couple of years, usually on Fridays for fish…read moretacos, and I've ordered the same fish taco and shrimp taco combination 40 to 50 times. It has generally been a place I've enjoyed and recommended, which is why this stood out. There's always been some normal inconsistency in portion. Some days the fish is bigger, some days smaller. Same with the shrimp, sometimes a little more, sometimes a little less. That never bothered me. It's part of a busy seafood counter, and I've never felt the need to say anything. What I got today was different. The fish taco was on the small side and dry, but the shrimp taco was the issue. It was served fried, very dark, and overcooked to the point the shrimp was tough. When I opened it after a few bites, I realized I was mostly eating tortilla and toppings. There were only about three shrimp total, which is noticeably less than what I've consistently received here before. In prior visits, I've also been asked whether I want my tacos grilled or fried, including the shrimp, and I've consistently chosen the lighter, non-fried option. What I received today was not that. I approached the counter politely and simply said the taco wasn't good, pointing out the quality and portion issue. I wasn't trying to make a scene and I'm not someone who returns food, especially over something this small. I was more pointing it out so it didn't keep happening. I was told nothing could be refunded because I had taken a few bites, so I asked to speak with a manager. That's where this went sideways. Instead of listening, the manager immediately dismissed it. She repeatedly told me that what I described was "not possible," insisted they have never prepared shrimp any differently in her 27 years there, and said they only ever serve three shrimp. As someone who has ordered this exact item many times, I was essentially being told that my own experience did not happen. The conversation ended with me being asked to leave. I've worked in and managed restaurants. Mistakes and inconsistencies happen. This was a simple situation that could have been handled in seconds, either by replacing the taco or offering a refund. Instead, it was denied outright and escalated. This wasn't about a $5 taco. It was about how it was handled. Being told that your repeated experience is "not possible" and then being asked to leave is not an acceptable way to handle a reasonable concern.

The house sourdough roll was good, it was NOT rock hard like some places sourdough. The salted butter was perfect to balance the acidity of the sourness from the sourdough.
