The service is top tier, servers are very well mannered and friendly. Inside is a cozy vibe with multiple tv turned on to sports channel. I loved their booth seating it was unique and cute. We tried their Oysters: the size isn't that big but they're fresh and delicious. Salmon: wow their seasoning was so good! And their spinach side was exceptional. Desserts: not the best, you may skip. Fishbar was relatively easy to find. Metered self parking is right across the street from Fishbar. It's a 2 hour limit and they will issue tickets right when the 2 hours is up. We were greeted right away and the decor is nicely done. Even the sign for the women's and men's restroom is so discreet that patrons have mistakenly walked into the wrong room. Seating was comfortable and cozy. Fishbar was able to make accommodations for gluten free and dairy free by ordering the Salmon (Grilled) & Avocado tacos without the taco sauce and cilantro crema. On my most recent visit, I had the clam chowder and a dozen oysters after a day at Manhattan Beach. The oysters were spectacularly delicious. Clam chowder was decent. Wow, the food was amazing and the staff was friendly. We came in on a Saturday night around 7pm to celebrate my uncle's 60th birthday, and they did not disappoint. I'll be honest, I was a little bummed they didn't have Hennessy but the quality of the food more than made up for it. I ordered the lobster tacos and the salmon chowder. Both were fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. Everyone at the table cleaned their plates, which says a lot. And I have to mention the bathroom... spotless, smelled great, and clearly well maintained (an underrated but important detail!). We stopped in for a seafood fix and were seated almost immediately despite the full house. Service was impressively fast throughout the night. The Tempura Salmon Bites were a highlight, literally melting in our mouths. For mains, the Chilean Sea Bass was near perfect, though the coconut flavor wasn't quite for me. The Wood Grilled Branzino felt like a work in progress; the fish, broccolini, and sauce were great, but the fennel and chickpeas felt out of place. It definitely needed a starch, so I ended up borrowing some smashed potatoes from the sea bass dish to round it out. The Fishbar Margarita was fresh but a bit bland, while the Tropical Mirage had better flavor (though it's rum-heavy). Parking is all around, if you're lucky it's free but if not there is a small fee. I'm so glad to finally have tried this place. I was craving raw oysters and to my surprise they're part of their daily Happy Hour, except on Saturday. I could be wrong but everything I've eaten tasted fresh and from scratch. You can't go wrong with the clam chowder and lobster. The Halibut fish and chips were delicious and not overly greasy. The drinks are good but the ones on happy hour are ok. There guests seem to be a mixture of company dinners and couples. They have a bar area and a couple of TVs streaming different sports. The music is good and the servers are kind. One of the best seafood options in the South Bay. Open since 1981 they specialize in seafood, but have a pretty large menu with all sorts of other options as well. Parking is really easy, there is a two-story parking garage across the street with metered parking or you can find a metered street spot. Inside is fairly large, complete full bar and many different table seating options. Our server was very polite and everything that we ordered came out very fast. For this visit I chose the Lobster Bisque to start and really liked it. It was well balanced and had some nice flavors. I did think it could have had more lobster meat in it, but still it tasted great. For my entrée I chose the Chilean Seabass and I thought it was amazing. The dill piccata sauce was a real hit and everything about it was just great. I would highly recommend and this would especially be a good spot for dinner with friends or family. read more

Fishbar has become one of my favorite spots in Manhattan Beach! Whether to watch a Dodger game at the bar or get dinner with friends. Fishbar is a great spot for fresh seafood, good drinks, and huge plus being so close to the beach. The mezcal mango margarita is my favorite cocktail on the menu. The seafood is always fresh and flavorful. My go to apps to share are the tempura salmon bites and the crispy calamari. While the happy hour menu is relatively small, it still has good variety at reasonable prices. The staff is always very nice and attentive. She was patient, kind, and handled our big group like a pro. The restaurant itself is beautiful and has a really appealing vibe. My husband ordered the shrimp scampi and said it was good, just not something he was blown away by. I had the salmon with sautéed spinach and mashed potatoes. The salmon was a good portion size, which I was relieved about after seeing some reviews. It tasted great. The mashed potatoes honestly stole the show. The sautéed spinach was pretty bland. Our daughter ordered the penne pasta with butter, and I added the grilled chicken for her. The chicken was good, but she was not a fan of the pasta. It did not have much flavor and the presentation was not very appealing. She did enjoy the strawberry lemonade, so at least we had a win there. At the end of the meal, Erica surprised us by bringing out two plates of their ice cream sandwich desserts so we could sing happy birthday. It was such a sweet touch and made the moment special. I've been here many times, and it is a great seafood option in Manhattan Beach if you don't want to spend a fortune. They have a big parking lot across the street which makes it unusually easy to visit for Manhattan Beach. The raw bar is good, but my favorite is the lobster mac. We drove down to Manhattan Beach this rainy Sunday to do something we love and that is rarely possible in L.A. - a walk along the beach in the rain. It was magnificent! A Sunday afternoon in early September in rain that switched between mist and downpour, no crowds, easy parking. Then we had a perfect end to our perfect afternoon at Fish Bar. Friendly, prompt service. We had calamari, steamed mussels and clams, and fish & chips, with a couple of beers, and everything was just perfect! Service was good too. Artichoke appetizer was just ok. Would've been better if they put it on the grill after boiling. But it seemed it was just boiled. Taste was a bit bland. It has been sometime since our last visit to this area. The reviews of prior visitors certainly provided us with an incentive to visit FishBar. Upon entering we were greeted, then promptly seated. Our server, Felix, took our drink orders, then described the items presented on the menu. The restaurant is very pleasant and inviting. This is my new favorite spot in town. The Peruvian Scallops and the Crispy Rice Spicy Tuna are my standouts, but I also highly recommend the Fish & Chips and even the Salmon Entree. Prices are on the pricier end, but it's worth every penny. Reservations are best, as they do get quite busy in the evening. There's a variety of seating. Not sure this is the place for large groups, but 2-6 can sit comfortably in here. There's also a nice bar area and ample TVs indoors. If you drop in, the bar is a great option for both drinks and food. Parking is available on the street or in a nearby parking garage. That garage is pretty tight and hard to access, so I suggest looking on the street first. I will be back to try out the Happy Hour very soon! read more

We had some grilled oysters and the crispy rice tuna for appetizers, which were both so tasty and a bit spicy. I ordered the coconut crusted mahi mahi as my main course and was a bit disappointed by it. The rice was hard and the fish and sauce didn't have as much flavor as I was hoping for. For dessert, I ordered the banana bread pudding, which was a great choice and somewhat made up for the disappointing main course. My name got fish and chips- paired with clam chowder. She really liked her meal. My mum got shrimp pasta paired with asparagus. Everything was extremely flavorful and spooo good. I ate ALL my food while sitting there lol. No doggy bag baby. They have many tvs in there so that was a plus. There is mainly street parking (meter) and there's a parking lot, diagonal from the establishment, but there's also meters inside of it. Found this gem on the Resy app through AmEx. Went during lunch time, ordered the crispy rice spicy tuna, the lunch combo with Caesar salad and grilled salmon, and lunch shrimp and scallop skewer. Fishbar serves Coke products. The Diet Coke was cold and very fizzy. The food was very tasty, portions were great for lunch, and well presented. Food arrived in a timely manner. It was a very busy lunch crowd. The best part of the dining experience was Bailey, our server. She was attentive, helpful and friendly. I have had an excellent experience at Fishbar in Manhattan Beach. The seafood here is really good, and everything I have tried has been flavorful and well-prepared. I especially loved the branzino--it is now one of my favorite dishes. Our waitress actually recommended it, and I am glad she did because it did not disappoint. The salmon tempura was something different for me, but it was definitely good. I also tried the clam chowder, and that was solid as well. I ended up coming back a second time and brought my mom, and she really enjoyed it too. That says a lot. We did have a small hiccup with one of the soups we took to go, but what stood out was how management handled it. They acknowledged the issue and resolved it in a way that made me feel valued as a customer. That kind of service makes you want to come back. The staff has always been friendly, welcoming, and easy to talk to, which is something you really appreciate these days. Our server was incredibly personable and talkative. LOL My daughter is a regular at FishBar, she told me it's a great place for seafood just couple miles away. I never went there because parking is not exactly to my liking in El Porto. It turn out to be a great choice, I love it. I tried their Cioppino, which its easy to tell how good a seafood restaurant is by looking at what they put in it. It was GREAT! Good amount of Large scallops, good size shrimps, clams, mussels, and small pieces of salmon, and just couple tender squids. (unlike some restaurants fill the bowl with cheap fishes and low cost squids). Everything was fresh and taste great. My date had Blackened Swordfish, it was nicely done, not dry. The server John was excellent, He made the meal a wonderful experience. Overall, I like this place very much, it'll be on my short list of good restaurants in the neighborhood.
