    Breakfast Pita
    Dante B.

Came by for brunch with a party of three. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We were seated at a small table on the outdoor patio, which felt a bit cramped for three people. The table was also unbalanced and shaky.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We started with a coffee and café latte, which were just okay. We wanted to order the ceviche, but it was unfortunately unavailable. Eggs Benedict with Ham: Not worth the $19 price tag. The egg wasn't very runny, and the overall flavors were nothing special. Belgian Waffle: Met expectations--a safe choice. Breakfast Pita: Essentially a breakfast burrito in pita bread form. Very solid and served with a great hot sauce. The spiced hashbrowns were also a very nice touch. Overall, the menu felt stronger on the Mexican side than the Mediterranean. Unfortunately, the hot sauce ended up being the most flavorful part of our meal. If I were to return, I'd stick to one of the Mexican dishes. Parking: Metered street parking, which can be difficult to find during peak meal times.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]This little cafe gives a home style feel.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The menu is big and has a lot of good staple breakfast and brunch items. Everything looked and tasted really good especially the hot sauce! There might be a wait since seating is limited but if you can find a table I recommend it!

I've been here multiple times and food never disappoints. After reading some of the reviews, all I could say is they were just finding any reason to not like the restaurant. My boyfriend and I got their blueberry stuffed pancakes, spinach and tomato eggs Benedict, and the chilaquiles. Everything was delicious and flavorful. Prices are on the higher side, but it's Manhattan Beach and they do give plenty of food so it's worth it in my opinion. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Views are pretty & plenty of seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] As for service, the staff is sweet and somewhat attentive. I do wish they checked on us regarding water & the bill but that's about it. Definitely coming back again, love supporting yummy family owned businesses! :)

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Literally one of the most below average meals and bad service and bad ambiance I've had in a while.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Pictures they post on menu is not what it looks like. We asked for our food to be cooked in butter instead of oil and the waitress said they don't have it. Ummmm you serve breakfast but don't have butter??? [[HIGHLIGHT]]Flies everywhere!! I never in my life been attacked by so many flies before while eating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I was staying in manhattan beach for 3 nights and didn't encounter flies anywhere else. And when she brought our food she refused to set it down on the table!!! She made us take it off her hands. My family owned 5 restaurants and let me tell u that is a big no no.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]I wasn't expecting much but sat here because of the beautiful view.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The staff was so friendly and quick to get you what you need. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I was having breakfast and had my pup with me. She was given water[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. The vanilla late came quickly and was beautiful! My Mediterranean omelette was quite tasty and the fruit was a mix not just cantaloupe! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Quick and friendly service and you can't beat the view and ocean air breezes![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Located off a sidewalk with an amazing view of the water the 1st thing I noticed was how small the place but in the end, that's what gives its charm.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We were warmly greeted and attentively served throughout our visit. I had the Ocean View Omelette and my wife had the French Toast. Both were good portions and tasty.

Nice little brunch spot in Manhattan beach! Ocean View is a tiny and small breakfast/lunch spot just up the hill from the beach. You do get a view of the ocean but the restaurant is very tiny only offering a patio so you may have to wait. The food was fine, pretty standard brunch offering. However, the service was extremely slow and they forgot my husband's drink several times. After we ordered it took almost 40 minutes for them to bring out the dishes. In terms of the bathroom, you have to walk through their kitchen to get to it and it didn't feel like the cleanest bathroom. I hope they can work to upgrade this in the future. And because they are located in Manhattan Beach, parking is extremely difficult during peak lunch times - just a fair warning.

I wanted to like this place, but unfortunately the service was not good. The lady up front let us know that it was going to be a 30 minute wait, and I put my name down. An hour had passed by and we still weren't called. My uncle noticed that other people were being seating before us and they had only been waiting for a fraction of the time that we had. The lady realized they skipped our name after I asked them previously how long the estimated wait was. We ordered the Belgian waffle, an order of hash browns, and the fruit yogurt. The only thing that stood out to me was the freshly squeezed orange juice and the hash browns, everything else was not worth the wait in my personal opinion. The yogurt with fruit tasted very odd, and the yogurt was very watery. I really hope they can work on the service here.

The food was delicious. Quality products amazing flavor. Service was excellent. Staff checked on you often to ensure dinning needs were mer. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The look of the place was cute with an ocean view.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The prices were reasonable especially based on the quality of food you get. Street parking near. Ill be back.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Nothing beats the gorgeous ocean view of Manhattan Beach![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]This is a nice cozy family-run cafe with friendly service and delicious food.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Fun place to meet friends for a casual brunch![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Came here for the views on a beautiful sunny day. Fast and friendly service but the simple app (granola with yogurt) was nothing to brag about. I had to get some work done so they also had wife and outdoor seating so that was lovely. I may come back and try other dishes when I'm in the area cuz the ambience didn't disappoint.

    Shauna S.

Came for lunch around 2pm on a Sunday. No wait and plenty of seating. We got seated at probably the best table outside - the corner facing the ocean. Very fun to eat lunch while people watching. I ordered the Felipe Omelet. Everything was cooked perfectly. Hash browns were nicely crispy. Loved how hearty the omelet was stuffed with chunks of chicken & veggies. My bf got the 3 eggs with Meat (he chose bacon). He had no complaints and for $13.50, it's super affordable considering the location. Mine was on the pricier end at $18.50, but with all the ingredients in the omelet, it was justifiable to me. Would recommend to anyone looking for a laid-back breakfast/lunch cafe & relatively affordable prices.

His espresso martini was so delicious! It was my first time trying one and it did not disappoint. My partner and I had the crispy rice with spicy tuna and the shrimp taquitos, while on the pricier side it is definitely worth it. The spicy tuna crispy rice was so rich in flavor, and the crispy rice truly was crispy. The shrimp taquitos were unlike anything i've tried before! I was expecting some classic taquitos filled with shrimp but this place really goes above and beyond with this dish. The shrimps were wrapped (as you can see in the photo) and it was so good!! I definitely plan on coming back if i'm ever in the area. The ambience of this place is beautiful too, we came during the day but I really want to see how it is at night. I would say this is a great spot for a date night with a partner or friends.

The day of the reservation, the host manager called to confirm that we wanted to share the news at dessert, and if there were any other accommodations we needed, which was very sweet. When we arrived at our table, they had a card signed by staff congratulating us, and it was a night to remember. Great food, great service, and the warm hand towels after my dad demolished the baby back ribs were the cherry on top! Our group also ordered the chilean sea bass, salmon, and bistro plate. 10/10. One of our final meals as a family of two was Valentine's Day 2026. It was our first time being seated indoors, and the ambiance was dim and romantic. The meatloaf special was fantastic! Fast forward to June 2026, and we brought our 3-month-old son to his first NIck's meal (unfortunately, he could not partake) and to celebrate my husband's first Father's Day. On this reservation, I put in a request for outdoor seating that gave us enough room to park our stroller and car seat, and they were able to accommodate that. They were also understanding when me and my husband were running a few minutes past our reservation time due to fhe baby, and we appreciated the flexibility. Noise level was moderate, but definitely quieter outside. If you get nothing else from this review, just remember this: ORDER THE WARM BUTTER CAKE. YOU WILL NEVER REGRET IT. Thanks for the consistent hospitality and great meals, Nick's!

It looked like it was one full avocado on two slices of hearty toast with green goddess dressing. Had 2 poached eggs (perfect), 2 slices of crips bacon (also perfectly crisp) and a side of fruit - this had the same as the yogurt plate but also had figs and plums!. The Strand House offers good food, goodservice, and amazing views and vibes at reasonable, but upscale prices. We came with my family for an early dinner on a Sunday afternoon. Off the lunch menu we had the Italian panini ($29), which was a surprisingly complex sandwich with mortadella, salami, onions, lettuce, fresh Marzano tomatoes, and many other vegetables. It was served with an exceptional set of fries, which had a great amount of garlic and the perfect blend of crisp on the outside and softness on the inside, along with tangy ketchup. The children got the pasta bolognese ($14), which was a standard bolognese, although the pasta was a little overcooked. We also got a child salmon ($21), a surprisingly generous piece of fish, well cooked with a somewhat crispy exterior and soft interior alongside broccolini and whipped mashed potatoes. The service was decent - our server collected our order, checked on us appropriately, and generally took care of us throughout our visit. As the pictures suggest, the interior is quite upscale, scattered across three floors with a view overlooking the main road and the beach itself. This led to an excellent, breezy atmosphere and spectacular views, perfect for a hot day. Prices are a little on the elevated side, but not excessive, given the highly popular location of this restaurant and excellent views. Overall, The Strand House offers an appropriately upscale lunch or dinner at an elevated price for the discerning customer looking for good food and excellent views with a price to match. I don't know, but this place had a big menu and decent reviews so we chose to hit up this spot. The vibes in here were super laid back. There was only one woman who we saw working which was also the hostess and everyone else's server, which was just us and another woman to tables away from us. We had a difficult time choosing something to order since the menu was so diverse. Everything from croffle ice cream, to clam chowder, to a full Thai menu. I saw banh mi on the menu and instantly knew I had to order it since I've never tried it before. So, I ordered the chicken meatball banh mi sandwich with a side salad (removing the jalapeño and spicy mayo). My friend ordered a Thai iced coffee and the pineapple curry. The food came out relatively quickly. My friend enjoyed her Thai iced coffee, but she said she wished she'd ordered the Thai tea instead. She also really liked her pineapple curry, and it came out piping hot. I tried it and it was super spicy, so not for me, but she really enjoyed it. My banh mi sandwich was interesting. Right off the bat, it was 75% bread. The bread wasn't bad. In fact, it was chewy and not tough to tear into, but the sandwich itself was mostly bread. There were only like three meatballs in the sandwich, which were cut in half, and I feel like there wasn't anything special about the meatballs. If I was blindfolded, I would think they were the Great Value frozen meatballs in a bag from Walmart. The pickled cabbage was nice though, even if the mixture made the entire bottom of the sandwich soggy af (but I like soggy bread so it was fine with me). I tore most of the bread off and left it on the plate. The side salad dressing also spilled onto the sandwich and contributed to the soggy bread. Now that I'm looking at the photo I took of the sandwich, there wasn't much cilantro on there at all. The pickled cabbage was at the very bottom buried in between all the bread.
