Cafe Wild is a cute, (bigger than you think) small café, with indoor and outdoor seating. Some of the outdoor seats are close enough to the ocean view, which is very nice. You have to order inside first and then snag seating, unless you have people with you to hold a spot. If you want that little spot with an ocean view you have to be quick! Haha It's all metered street parking and the signs feel like a NYC street sweeping day. But, if you're there during the week, it's pretty easy to find a spot. On a weekend I can only imagine it would be quite some work. I believe there's a lot close by. The food was pretty basic. Nothing over-the-top. Breakfast sandwiches, pancakes, lunch, etc. Very very basic flavors. But it's a relatively quiet and calm area to get breakfast or lunch at and maybe get some work done. I loved Cafe Wild! From service to ambiance to quality and quantity of food, everything was amazing! The employees are extremely friendly and accommodating for allergies and ingredient preferences! I had the vegan hash but was able to remove the mushrooms and quinoa and replace with another vegetable! Food came out fairly quickly, and wow!! So goooooddd! Would come here again just for the potatoes! Perfectly crispy and seasoned! Absolutely amazing experience! It's a quiet and relaxed vibe, which makes it easy to socialize and have a good time! There was absolutely no reason not to do a full 5 stars for this experience! It was simple, last day of my LA trip with my daughter. Returning to MN to suffer the wrath that is winter...I wanted to eat somewhere by the beach, go for a walk, sit outside. This isn't hard in this neighborhood but I am also a foodie and trying to eat healthier in general but love that about SoCal. My daughter and I walk past, looked at the menu and the seating options and it was an easy choice! Sat down outside on the sidewalk with a view of the ocean on a wonderful December morning! I ordered the breakfast burrito with some kind of side and a coffee...my daughter...I think she had some eggs Benedict thing, an almond danish and some fancy drink! Service was friendly although it took over half an hour to get our food during a time of the morning that was not very busy. This is such a cute brunch cafe right by Manhattan Beach with the friendliest staff! The guy taking our orders was actually so nice and helpful, definitely embodying that kind beachy vibe. We sat outside which was cute with the blue exterior of the cafe and was great for enjoying the nice weather. For food we split the Smoked Salmon Toast and Good Vibes Burrito with chicken sausage. Cutest cafe we came across on our early morning. The sun was shining and just a light breeze so it was perfect to sit outside. The pancakes were delicious especially that cinnamon butter it comes with. The smoked salmon toast was good and that poached egg was perfect. My mom had the point break breakfast sandwich with no egg and she loved it. The service was great as well. They speak Spanish which is a plus. As for parking if you are out and about early then parking won't be an issue (street parking). You order and pay on the spot. They bring your food to wherever you sit. So, this cafe is located in Mahattan beach which is minutes from LAX and walking distance from the beach. While I was waiting for family to land at LAX, I decided to treat myself to Brunch and a friend recommended this spot. You order at the counter and the man who helped was super friendly and noticed Cafe Wild is LGBTQ friendly which is awesome! He was very helpful and made recommendations to me on what to eat since I was undecided. Once I sat down, I noticed the music was good bumping classic 90s to early 2000s rnb songs which I love! Then the food came out in about 10 minutes and it was hot and I devoured it! I got it to go but ended up finishing the whole dish! I got the good vibes burrito. I would say it wasn't the best breakfast burrito of my life but it had ingredients that complimented each other nicely with the cheese, eggs, bell peppers and topped with some tapa tio and the tater tots were perfect with it! I would definitely come back for another one or try more of their food. Once I was done eating, I took my 16oz coffee to go and walked on the beach. This coffee was strong and tasty and lasted me all morning for my 2mile walk and drive from LAX back to San Diego! Honestly if I'm ever in the area again, I'll come back! With just one man at the counter and another in the kitchen, my food came out in a flash and was delicious in every bite! The prices for the portions are spot on and the location and decor are perfect for a chill morning. With indoor and outdoor seating, you've always got a good view. The man at the counter (who I can only assume was the owner) was the most friendly person I encountered during my entire trip to California. I added avocado but it honestly didn't need it. I also subbed out the breakfast potatoes for crispy tater tots and I have zero regrets. The fresh brewed coffee (la colombe brand) was great too (not burnt and held its heat for a while). We sat outside along Highland Ave. it does get a bit noisy with some of the random trucks that drive by but still a great ambience and located only 3 blocks from the beach. The sourdough wasn't too tough, and the garlic aioli was definitely the highlight. The sandwiches seem a bit inconsistent though because mine didn't look as filled as my friend's but that's ok. Quick version. Ocean views, parking is hard to find,, food is ok. You order at the counter and find somewhere to sit. What I don't particularly like and hope this isn't becoming a trend is quick service style service and full service prices. If you are going to charge full service prices then the food should be served on regular plates and not paper. And drinks should be in glasses not paper cups. Nothing wrong with using paper cups and plates but the prices should reflect that. The food was pretty good. I liked being able to get a full English even though the beans weren't there. And the seating is nice. Good luck finding parking though. And yes the city does check like hawks at the meters. So overall I think a 3.5 is fair. Came to Wild Cafe with my colleagues to celebrate our successful team workout and we were delighted. The staff greeted us at the door with water and was patient with us while ordering. I got the brunch burger which was a monster of a meal. The burger came with choice of breakfast potatoes (which I got), salad, or tater tots. The burger was messy and filled to the brim with delicious toppings. The breakfast potatoes were seasoned very well and the ketchup complimented the taste. The mimosas were very good and reasonably priced. They gave a 16oz for $13 and the pitcher is $50. If you have a Boujie taste you won't enjoy the mimosas because they are served in regular paper cups, however the champagne to OJ mix is perfect. We sat inside the restaurant and enjoyed the openness that allowed the good beach weather to come in. You also have an option to sit outside if you like. Now if it was just the omelette this would have been a 5 star review. I got the gluten free pancake. Corn pancakes, they were okay, not amazing, They were fluffy but a bit dry, it comes with some sort of flavored butter, and the option of sugar free maple syrup which is nice. But although they said gluten free pancake, but my stomach was so upset the rest of the day. I am not sure if it's because of the corn or it does warn that it's not a gluten free facility. I've never had trouble with gluten contact as long as the food is gluten free itself. So not sure where the fault falls here but obviously being sick after leaves me at three stars.
