Wonderful place for quick service or table service the option is yours. We love the drink selections for kids. There's more than just hot chocolate which we appreciate. My kids devoured the keen green smoothie (banana, mango, kale, chia seeds, almond butter). The athletes burrito was delicious and so lean and healthy. We also like the breakkie board. 1/2 granola yogurt parfait and 1/2 avo toast. Now on to the beach we left so satisfied.

Saturday morning service was -100000/10. It was incredibly busy, and it felt like the server had completely forgotten about us until I got up and asked for an update on our food almost 45 min after ordering. Avocado toast was soggy as if it had been sitting out for hours. BL big brekkie was served on toast, also soggy from sitting under the flavorless spinach and mushroom mix. Bacon on the dish tasted worse than what you'd get at a cheap model continental breakfast. The plain black coffee served in a glass jar with no handle. Imagine my surprise when I nearly burned my fingers off picking it up to pour in the cup. The ice in my husband's cold brew was floating at the top half melted when it came to the table and made it horribly watered down. Sadly disappointing experience. Won't be back.

Stopped by this little coffee shop in Manhattan Beach and had a great experience. The soft chili scramble with avocado was a slam dunk for me! It was super flavorful, beautifully presented, and a really generous portion. The truffle cheese sandwich was also tasty and comforting. Drinks were a mix: the matcha latte and affogato were both good, while the PB protein smoothie was just okay. The ambiance is bright and relaxing, and the staff is friendly, which makes the whole visit feel easy and enjoyable. Would definitely come back for the food and vibes.

I was able to get an affogato at 7 PM, which I really appreciated since most cafés stop serving coffee much earlier in the day. The space is brightly lit and comfortable, with self-serve water and napkins already set out on each table, clearly designed to keep things moving smoothly. It's nice to have options in the area where not everything open in the evening is just a bar or restaurant. The affogato was good, and my boyfriend enjoyed his espresso, describing it as muted in a good way and nicely balanced. They close at 8 PM, which makes it a great early-mid evening stop.

After walking up and down for a while I needed a cold drink. I walked in to this place and immediately was greeted by the friendliest employees here. After looking at their menu I decided to get a smoothie that sounded delicious. And it sure was. Perfectly made. I enjoyed every sip. The menu has variety of smoothies, coffee drinks, food items and more. It's a cafe that's offers a lot. Beautiful spacious with lots of seating. Great customer service. A must try when in the area. I'll be back again for sure.

Same great taste and ambience as a few years ago when we discovered this Manhattan Beach gem. Uriel and Lennon welcomed us back from Indiana with open arms and sat us on the cozy patio. Amy ordered a cappuccino which Lennon topped off with a signature European cocoa finish that made the drink even more special. We split the athlete's burrito and a side of pancakes and berries. Compliments to the chef. Thanks for making our spring break memory one to last a lifetime! Cheers!

I came here on a Sunday for lunch and there was no wait. Service was a bit slow, but friendly. There was only one bathroom which was dirty and old looking. Definitely did not match their nice blue interior. Berry Brekkie Smoothie (3/5): refreshing, but berries had a very light flavor, tasted watered down Spiced Chicken Wrap (4/5): changed the kale to arugula and definitely a good alternative, the arugula was fresh with the vinaigrette, chicken was pretty good

    Athlete's Burrito

You feel seen at Bluestone--definitely a place where every customer matters. I received wonderful treatment even when it got busy. It was great to have a seat towards the back and still get all the lighting from outside. The athlete's burrito was perfect post-run and I got to have the other half later :) The variety of smoothie options stood out to me for the future!

First & Last time for this place - ordered an Iced Long Black Coffee with half & half and there was no cream in the coffee or in the bag.

My overall thoughts on this restaurant was "meh". I wasn't too impressed with either of the chicken sandwiches. They were just alright. The service itself was also alright. The servers were nice, but they weren't really checking in with us and we had to call them over. The highlight for me was the strawberry matcha which tasted light and refreshing. As for ambiance, it looks like a nice, casual place to grab some lunch and it's in a great location.

Such a cute spot right in the middle of Manhattan beach. The beet latte was surprisingly and amazingly delicious. Who knew this vegetable would make sense as a latte and not just a smoothie? The first sip was a bit odd but once your brain gets over the connection, I swear it's basically like a rose milk tea but beet flavored and a bit heavier in texture. Definitely give it a try! I definitely thought the matcha pancakes looked like those fluffy Japanese ones in the photo and was extremely disappointed that they weren't. That's my mistake so don't make the same one. They were super flat and a little on the dry side. But the picture definitely shows a difference even in the presentation- no orchid and no raspberries. The matcha ricotta sauce felt like the pancake batter and gave a tiny bit of sweetness to the pancakes but it was not an appetizing pour. Anyways, you've been warned! The service is great and the space is so welcoming. You can order with the QR code on the table and the drinks and food arrived pretty quickly. It's all metered parking so it's a cute spot if you're planing on shopping in the area and going to the beach.

His espresso martini was so delicious! It was my first time trying one and it did not disappoint. My partner and I had the crispy rice with spicy tuna and the shrimp taquitos, while on the pricier side it is definitely worth it. The spicy tuna crispy rice was so rich in flavor, and the crispy rice truly was crispy. The shrimp taquitos were unlike anything i've tried before! I was expecting some classic taquitos filled with shrimp but this place really goes above and beyond with this dish. The shrimps were wrapped (as you can see in the photo) and it was so good!! I definitely plan on coming back if i'm ever in the area. The ambience of this place is beautiful too, we came during the day but I really want to see how it is at night. I would say this is a great spot for a date night with a partner or friends.

The day of the reservation, the host manager called to confirm that we wanted to share the news at dessert, and if there were any other accommodations we needed, which was very sweet. When we arrived at our table, they had a card signed by staff congratulating us, and it was a night to remember. Great food, great service, and the warm hand towels after my dad demolished the baby back ribs were the cherry on top! Our group also ordered the chilean sea bass, salmon, and bistro plate. 10/10. One of our final meals as a family of two was Valentine's Day 2026. It was our first time being seated indoors, and the ambiance was dim and romantic. The meatloaf special was fantastic! Fast forward to June 2026, and we brought our 3-month-old son to his first NIck's meal (unfortunately, he could not partake) and to celebrate my husband's first Father's Day. On this reservation, I put in a request for outdoor seating that gave us enough room to park our stroller and car seat, and they were able to accommodate that. They were also understanding when me and my husband were running a few minutes past our reservation time due to fhe baby, and we appreciated the flexibility. Noise level was moderate, but definitely quieter outside. If you get nothing else from this review, just remember this: ORDER THE WARM BUTTER CAKE. YOU WILL NEVER REGRET IT. Thanks for the consistent hospitality and great meals, Nick's!

Our server was very attentive, kind, patient, and accommodating. For example, when my sister in law asked if there was a kid's menu for her children, the server politely stated that they didn't have one. However, he immediately picked up on the fact that these kids were highly fussy and picky eaters, and offered up buttered noodles, something that was not on the menu. The kids ended up loving this. I, on the other hand, was disappointed with most of the food I had. If I had to rate the food, it would be 3 stars. I ordered the MB Post Burger, which comes with a 1/2 pound grilled patty, American Cheese, applewood bacon, and honey chipotle aioli, between English muffin buns. I added a sunny side up egg to it for an extra few bucks. The burger was messy, and difficult to eat. Ended up having to eat it with a fork and knife. I expected the egg to be a bit runny, but it was cooked all the way through. All in all, it wasn't enjoyable to eat. The crispy fries were not any better. To me, they tasted overly fried. The only thing I thought was exceptional was the bacon cheddar buttermilk biscuit with the whipped honey butter. It was buttery and crispy goodness. This item alone is worth coming back to this restaurant. Overall, this place is a solid 4 star restaurant. If you're planning on visiting this place, I have to warn you that parking may be a real pain to find since the area is very popular with beach goers. Things were exacerbated over the weekend due to a volleyball tournament. Had to drive around for like 30 minutes to find parking.

The Strand House offers good food, goodservice, and amazing views and vibes at reasonable, but upscale prices. We came with my family for an early dinner on a Sunday afternoon. Off the lunch menu we had the Italian panini ($29), which was a surprisingly complex sandwich with mortadella, salami, onions, lettuce, fresh Marzano tomatoes, and many other vegetables. It was served with an exceptional set of fries, which had a great amount of garlic and the perfect blend of crisp on the outside and softness on the inside, along with tangy ketchup. The children got the pasta bolognese ($14), which was a standard bolognese, although the pasta was a little overcooked. We also got a child salmon ($21), a surprisingly generous piece of fish, well cooked with a somewhat crispy exterior and soft interior alongside broccolini and whipped mashed potatoes. The service was decent - our server collected our order, checked on us appropriately, and generally took care of us throughout our visit. As the pictures suggest, the interior is quite upscale, scattered across three floors with a view overlooking the main road and the beach itself. This led to an excellent, breezy atmosphere and spectacular views, perfect for a hot day. Prices are a little on the elevated side, but not excessive, given the highly popular location of this restaurant and excellent views. I didn't leave disappointed, but I also didn't leave feeling like I'd want to come back. The restaurant itself is clean, modern, and has a nice atmosphere. It feels like one of those places where you'd meet up with friends, relax, and chat for a while. Visually, it makes a great first impression. The food, however, was average. I ordered the Best Avocado Toast, and while it wasn't bad, it's hard to justify the price. At the end of the day, it's avocado on toast, and I've honestly had more flavorful versions elsewhere for less money. The smoked salmon toast was also underwhelming. The salmon surprisingly lacked much of that smoky flavor, and the bread felt thicker than the toppings themselves, making the balance a little off. The shrimp Tom Yum soup was probably my biggest disappointment. At $14, I expected something with bold, authentic flavors. Instead, it tasted fairly basic. It had the citrusy notes you'd expect, but it was sweeter than I prefer, likely because of the amount of cherry tomatoes used. The service is where things became frustrating. We waited around 20 minutes before our order was taken, then roughly another 30 minutes before food started coming out. What made it more frustrating was that everything arrived at completely different times. The matcha latte came first, then the Tom Yum soup, and it was another 20 minutes before the rest of the entrées arrived. We ended up waiting so everyone could eat together instead of one person eating while everyone else watched. Normally I don't mind waiting if a restaurant is busy, but based on many of the Yelp reviews, this doesn't seem like a one-time occurrence. A common theme is that there's only one server running the dining room. Our waitress was friendly and polite, but she was clearly overwhelmed, juggling six or more tables by herself. I don't blame her--I blame the staffing. At one point I even watched someone wait over 30 minutes for two specialty drinks because the server was busy with other tables. That really summed up the experience. If the food had completely blown me away, I could overlook the long wait. Unfortunately, the flavors were simply average, so the overall experience didn't justify the prices or the time spent waiting. Would I come back? Probably not. I'm glad I gave it a try because it's a nice-looking café, but with average food, premium prices, and consistently slow service, there just wasn't enough to make me want to return.
