Verve is a cold coffee spot located in Manhattan Beach. Super nice area plenty of parking and there's a lot of shops around but it was pretty quiet. Nice chill vibe to it. The service was good and the hot chocolate came out pretty fast and my friend drinks also came out pretty fast. So I'm not a big coffee person, but I got their hot chocolate and it was cool. I'd like that I had a little whipped cream flour on top of it. The presentation of it was awesome as far as the hot chocolate itself. It was OK. Location is nice walking distance from the pier. It was a gloomy morning in Manhattan so opted for a warm latte . Though my coffee was extremely beautiful it didn't hit maybe it needed more coffee. I think going back and asking them to fix it would have been okay since they were all very nice . Unfortunately I wasn't able to go back. I did like the chamomile tea so much felt very fresh and flavorful. Also if you order the breakfast sandwich with sausage the patty is big . A good approach here is to park up here near the top, either finding a spot or using one of the parking structures (not expensive at all). The head over to Verve and get your drink on. The coffee and smooth whether you like it bold or smooth. They got choices for the tea and chilled drinkers also. A nice pastry if you need it. The either have a seat and let your wellbeing improve or take a walk through along the sidewalks and window shop or head down to the ocean shore and pier. My friends and I came here on a Sunday morning & loved the vibes there! We got orange creamsicle lattes & the blueberry matcha latte. The blueberry matcha was delicious. Loved the cold foam & the way they decorated the latte was so creative & pretty! I do wish the orange creamsicle latte had a stronger orange taste, but the sweetness level was perfect and the coffee was smooth which was great. Parking is difficult to find around the area - there is metered parking & a parking structure & it does take a bit of patience to find parking. I've been seeing this place all over social media so I'm glad I finally tried it. This place is super vibey and aesthetic with upstairs and downstairs seating options. I came here on a Friday and was able to easily find a table to get work down. The WiFi was easy to connect to and fast. I ordered the Pumpkin Pie Latte with Almond Milk. From what I've tried here at Verve, they have some quality coffee. They also have matcha and house made oat milk soft serve. There are also sweet and savory snack options. They have coffee on draft! The draft coffee comes right out of a tap and made it feel like a bit like a brewery. The ambiance of this place is aesthetically pleasing and looks like it's right out of a trendy tik tok that you'd find on an influencers page. Nice warm welcoming looking place, although we didn't feel very welcomed coming in. The worker felt slightly annoyed that we were first timers and needed some guidance on what to order. They also got the order slightly wrong and charged us a little more for something I didn't want. Aside from that, it was a nice clean place. This coffee shop is right up the street from Manhattan Beach pier, so very convenient to grab a coffee/snack and walk down to catch a nice view of the ocean and get some sun. read more

I have to admit..........not in the slightest impressed! Came here on recommendation of a good friend to try Tokyo egg salad croissant and also ordered a small drip coffee...................$19.70. Croissant was definitly a day old (struggled to even cut it with a knife) and egg filling was totally blah! Well well well, what to say about this adorable shop? It's a really nice example of how great and accessible specialty coffee has gotten. It's a really bright space with plenty of sun and pastel goodness. The space is efficiently used, with a small low bar for seating, and plenty of outdoor tables (with umbrellas!). The line to order goes from right to left, which is not my favorite, but not gonna knock 'em for that! Anyways, I ordered an iced short latte with oat milk. Generally I like a smaller milk-to-espresso ratio, so an iced flat white is ideal for me. It was made quickly, and after a trip to the loo, they called my name! I grabbed my drink and sat down, and sipped away! It was super pleasant. In a place with so many options for coffee roasters, why not choose this one? I think I'm pretty much done with Verve at this point. It's a bummer because I've been a loyal customer for almost 2 years and they were my favorite coffee shop in the area. I loved the service, the coffee, the food, the ambiance. Most of the employees were very friendly and the manager (Jesse) was super nice. I love the location, since it's close to the strand and located in the heart of Manhattan Beach. However, I'm truly fed up with how expensive everything has gotten. I remember when I thought $5 was expensive for a basic latte. Then it went up to $6, $6.50, now we're at $7+ for an unsweetened latte. I'm always happy to support local businesses and pay for quality, but this is a huge rip-off. I don't appreciate being gouged. The food is equally ovepriced. Did their rent go up or something? Is this just the standard since we live in a beach town? I don't get it. The quality is the same, the sizes are the same, yet I'm paying more for....some reason. Today, I gave them one last shot. I ordered an iced latte, which was very underwhelming. $8.30 (after tax and $1 tip) for milk flavored with a little coffee. I was suprised because I've always enjoyed their hot lattes. I also buy a variety of their beans (which have gone up $2 a bag) and have always loved the taste and quality. So, I decided to conduct a little research to see how much they're overcharging me for coffee. When I make my own lattes at home, they're the same size as their standard lattes, and it costs me about $1.90. Keep in mind, I'm using 2 shots worth of their beans and 8oz of organic grassfed milk. Compare that to $7. That's a 350% mark-up. I don't know...you decide if it's worth it to you. As for me, I'll be making my lattes at home going forward. read more

Honestly not sure if we ordered wrong but really wasn't a fan of the drinks we got. I love the lavender honey latte at captial one cafe and i saw they use verve coffee so wanted to give this a shot but the lavender honey here was more bitter and didn't have a lot of the lavender or honey flavor. we also tried the iced matcha latte but it was really just milk and the flavor felt flat. the staff are all really nice and the inside is cute with some outside seating. line can get long so i would suggest ordering online. read more

To Verve or not to Verve...that is the question... On this day in sunny, iconic Manhattan Beach California named after the iconic Manhattan Big Apple, I decided to Verve. My latte was refreshing complementing my fried chicken and chocolate cake from Vons across the street. Verve has a cool facade, cool interior, lacking seating though(but there are nice outdoor seats and tables)and cool people watching. It's worth repeat visits. It does not quite make my five star rating but there's always room for an upgrade. I'll see how more of the drinks turn out. read more

Nice cafe in MB. Has outdoor seating so you can bring your dog but it isn't shaded so just make sure you bring a hat. It also gets super packed. I got the chai latte and felt like it was okay. It was a bit watered down and I didn't get the amazing chai spices that come with a chai latte. I wouldn't order it again. My husband got the espresso tonic and said it was fine. Wifey rolled her eyes at me in the middle of this beautifully curated coffee shop as my neck shrugged back and my eyes blinked quickly a few times in disbelief. I couldn't help it. I feel like I'm taking a left hook to the liver if I pay over $4 for a cold brew as I know how cheap it is to make, but $8.25 for a dirty chai latte is wild. I don't know. Maybe I'm trippin. $8.25 is after tax to be fair. And the Latte was damn good. And it's Manhattan Beach so people don't really care about the price of things anymore. Verve is a name that I recognize because their beans are used at Capital One Cafes. While there is free street parking blocks away, there are also closer options in the Metlox parking structures and will be a "stop by if convenient" location. Entering and exiting is super easy and convenient - imagine a popup with two entrances but covered with a roof. The overall theme is quite beachy - quite fitting - and their products and colors provide very relaxing feel with the exception of customers lining up. Because of the smaller size and frequent foot traffic, this is more of a "grab and go" or hangout than a "stay and work" for me. For drinks, I ordered my regular iced latte. The taste of their beans run on the darker and bolder side and less on the sweet, on par with what I had at Capital One.
