The Honey Buzz was super delicious and smooth! I really enjoyed it and would repurchase again. I love Manhattan Beach but I definitely have a love/ hate relationship - sometimes parking can be a pain, especially on the weekend and/ or when I just want to pop in places and pop out. Regardless, I still keep going and will continue to because I love this city and the views are incredible! I've been to other Caffe Luxxe locations and this one has the same aesthetic, which I love. Staff are very friendly. There was a line but it went by fast. Parking on the weekend is hard to find, at least in my experience. During the week, it's much easier to find parking, especially if you go in the morning. read more

I've been on a relentless journey over the past 10 years to really try and understand myself. Whenever I feel off, I sit down and write to let my thoughts pour out of me to understand why. I've noticed lately that when someone asks me where I'm from, I don't say Manhattan Beach. I normally just say "LA," but the other day I actually said "El Segundo." I had to look in the mirror after that and check myself. I used to rep MB until it was backwards. I was so proud to be a Manhattan Beach native. I would have daydreams about winning a UFC title with a spinning wheel kick, and having a photoshoot with the belt on the pier. In the post fight interview I would scream "MANHATTAN BEACH, THIS IS FOR YOU!! I DONE IT FOR US!" So what changed? I couldn't quite articulate it until this last trip home. My girlfriend found Caffe Luxxe on Tiktok as their vanilla latte was supposed to go crazy. I was a bit skeptical as I'd never heard of it, but I also only order black coffee so the beans aren't really my lane. We walked down the streets and hills that raised me, passing the graveyard of the Wahoo's that used to see my friends and I every Friday after school. We entered Caffe Luxxe and I had my heart set on my lifeblood of a black coffee and a croissant, but beads of sweat began to cloud my vision when I noticed they didn't have the prices of the pastries listed. I leaned to my girlfriend and said hyperbolicly "I bet this plain croissant about to run me like $6..." When they rang us up, I felt like I got hit with a perfectly placed right hand to the solar plexus. $7. $7 for a plain croissant that was failing the eye test miserably. My mind was screaming "Do not get this. You have to make them put this back to prove a point. Take a stand, right here. To trojan horse you into a $7 croissant is treason. This is your Stamp Act. You can make a difference, no matter how small." But in reality my body was completely frozen. Just as I was coming to, my girlfriend tapped her card. I folded like a lawn chair. In all honesty though, if this was a great croissant, you wouldn't have heard a peep out of me. But this thing was BUNS. It wasn't flaky at all, and had no crispy golden-brown skin. It was more of a biscuit than a croissant. I've legitimately had better croissants from grocery stores. I think this $7 grocery-store-croissant is a great metaphor for why I don't rep the city like I used to. Where did the soul go? What happened to the passion? People laugh when I say this, but Manhattan Beach used to be a quaint, unpretentious little beach town with an abundance of character. Now, it's more of a satellite house for Beverly Hills. It's becoming soulless. You can still see remnants of the old MB with the Kettle, Ercole's, Shellback, and Uncle Bills, but how long will these institutions last? I don't know, but no matter what, I will always love the city for what it used to be. Sorry to Caffe Luxxe for sort of catching this stray. I walked straight to this shop after leaving the books store next door. What a lovely coffee shop. Great customer service and delicious coffee. Indoor and outdoor seating is available. Came here on a weekend morning. There was a bit of a line hut the baristas moved so fast and efficiently that the line moved along pretty quickly. I dont think I had to wait more than 10 minutes. I came back again for their matcha latte which I love. Next time I will try a baked good. But I needed something warm for the morning before heading down to the beach. The metered parking isnt too bad if you come early enough there is plenty of metered spots in front of the caffe. They also have a great patio seating area so people can bring their pets and family and kids with them. The baristas were friendly and provided great service too. As a coffee enthusiast, I've been wanting to try this place out, so glad I did!... upon entering I was met with a moderately longline, that was moving along quickly as it was before 11am, ladies were there post their work out session, business people, waiting to get their morning fix of caffeine...as there was someone at the counter ringing people up, the other barista was asking the next in line what they wanted- so line was moving pretty fast... ( I love an efficient barista ) I had my eyes set on the signature drink Caffe Nico.... Iced... WOW.... It was pleasing to the palate. You can tell it was a well-extracted espresso with creamy, nutty, velvety mouthfeel and with the very light hint of citrus at the end... very low- acidity, with a bright body taste finish... can't wait to try their other signature coffees. Cafe Luxxe in Manhattan Beach continues to be one of those neighborhood spots that feels equal parts polished and relaxed. I came here to avoid the line across the street at another favorite spot, Paradise Bowls. On this visit I'd land at a solid 4 out of 5 stars, a really enjoyable stop with just a few small things that kept it from perfection. There was about a 10-minute line which gave us plenty of time to decide what we wanted. I ordered the honey espresso while my daughter went with the strawberry dolce. Both drinks delivered on flavor and presentation. My honey drink had a beautiful, layered look and a smooth sweetness, though I will say it came with quite a bit of foam. It wasn't the classic dense cappuccino-style foam, more like light micro-bubbles that gave it an airy texture. Not bad at all, just a little different than expected. The strawberry coffee was the standout surprise: bright, slightly fruity, and balanced well enough that it still felt like a true coffee drink rather than a dessert. We also each got a breakfast burrito, which were hearty without feeling overly heavy. The real highlight was the sauce, a zesty, tangy salsa-verde style drizzle that added just the right amount of kick and freshness. It tied everything together and elevated what could have been a standard breakfast item into something memorable. Each bite had a nice contrast between the warm filling and that vibrant sauce. The atmosphere remains classic Manhattan Beach, clean, energetic, and perfect for people-watching while you sip your coffee. Service felt efficient and friendly, even during a busy stretch. Clean, minimalist, posh cafe with creative drinks (coffee, teas and non caffeinated drinks). Service is friendly and they work quickly. They have a mini cap, which we've never seem at other cafes. It's a small cappuccino which sometimes is the perfect amount after a meal (whereas a regular size is just too much), the honey buzz is light, sweet (but not overly sweet) with a strong robust espresso flavor. I love Caffè Luxxe! Their coffee is smooth & luxurious! This shop is located in Downtown Manhattan Beach on Manhattan Ave. Metered street parking is out front. There is no indoor seating available here. Just outside to the side there is a courtyard with seating. Next door is a bookstore and I'm thinking their clients may share this space. I can't say I felt very welcomed here, but the two men might have just been in work mode. A little bit of congeniality sprinkled in would be nice. The one guy asked me what I wanted and I told him. I ordered the Caffè Nico which was made while I was standing at the counter waiting to pay with the other guy. He handed me my drink and I paid. They have a loyalty program. There was another customer who had his loyalty rewards number added so he could get points. The guy helping me didn't ask me and I asked him if he could input mine. Unfortunately, he told me it was too late and that I should've told him before I paid. Well, I wasn't too happy about that situation. The saving grace to my experience here was that I enjoyed the coffee. It was served without a lid so one can see the latte art. Over where the condiments are is where you can find lids and cup sleeves. Near the bottom of the Caffè Nico it gets gritty, I think with the candied orange & cinnamon spices. It's a shame that this is the closest location to me. I may give them another chance in hopes for a better experience. I prefer the shop in Long Beach, but it is further away. While visiting Manhattan Beach, I decided to give this Caffe Luxxe location a try. I have enjoyed their coffee in other settings, and I was confident I could get a high-quality coffee beverage. The cafe's ambiance is somewhat sterile with a table in the center offering goods for sale. However, there's ample seating both indoors and in the outdoor areas, and the cafe is walking distance from the beach. It's great to have a cafe where you can walk and stroll to an ocean view. I ordered the Caffè Nico, and I liked the citrus flavor imparted by the orange syrup along with hint of spice from the cinnamon dusted on top. The location is just a block away from the Manhattan Beach pier (it's across from some of my other beach side favorites - Arthur J and Paradise Bowls). It happens to also be adjacent to Pages bookstore. (Note to self to visit the bookstore one day. Good coffee and a good book sounds so nice!) For this visit I chose to get their signature Caffe Nico (12 oz is $8). This is an espresso with candied orange, cinnamon and half-half milk. I chose to upgrade with almond milk. The Caffe Nico was a delightful drink. It was smooth and flavorful. I loved the unique fruity hints of orange. I paired my Caffe Nico with their almond croissant ($7). All of Caffe Luxxe's pastries are fresh baked and organic. The croissant was definitely high quality, fresh and delicious. I loved the generous spread of creamy and smooth almond paste on the inside. The tasty almonds on the outside gave a perfect crunch and flavor. I also got a lemon poppyseed muffin ($6) to-go. The muffin was so moist. I loved the zesty lemon taste. The poppyseeds also added a bit of crunchy texture. I really enjoyed coming to Caffe Luxxe. The location is lovely. The coffee and pastries are top notch! It was a great Sunday morning. After dinner we were looking for a spot to have some coffee and pastries and just hang with some friends and came across this spot and instantly fell in love with the vibes, simplicity and amazing customer service. This little spot had a shared outside patio space and indoor seating as well. The open concept is great case at times you feel a bit crammed. The service was great, even though we showed up 45 min before the closed they still helped us and appreciate that. The tea they had was great and loved the way they served it. The rest of the group had coffee and they said it was good and strong and that only means Fresh and Great coffee beans. I had their Apple cake pastry that was so good and not sweet at all and we devoured it next time we'll get it warm but was still great and their chocolate chip cookie was great and the hint of salt was the cherry topper I love sweet and salty. The ambiance was great, not too loud and love the patio seating outside for a group of 4. Their bathroom was clean and a good size. Loved their little side walk that has some funky and hilarious cars that you can purchase along with other fun gift giving items and merch. One of our favorite LA coffee cafes! I'm a huge fan of their espresso based drinks, and it's one of the cafes that consistently make their espresso well. They also feature seasonal drinks that are fun to try, and right now, The Honey Buzz is our favorite - honey shaken iced espresso with a honey cold foam top. It's not overly sweet and the honey works very well with their espresso! Their beans are also great, especially the Montenero Blend and Ethiopia Yirgacheffe. However this location doesn't carry much of the beans compared to others. We've been a few times to get beans for home or as gifts and walk away with just our drinks instead. It's a small cafe so there are some seating outdoors between the cafe and the bookstore. On colder weather it's not ideal. Parking can be a mess on the weekends, but pretty easy on the weekdays. read more

I had a blended drip coffee and it was great. My wife had a Caffe Nico and it was decadent. They sell freshly roasted beans (all roasted within the last 1-2 weeks), but nothing was priced. I feel like if it's not marked it's probably expensive and not worth asking. The staff were friendly and the space was clean and open. There's a nice little nook on the south side to hang outdoors. Ok.....I really wanted to love this place but it was just the overall experience that left me a 3 star review. The order process was really confusing because one barista would ask what you want and someone else would ask for your payment and another person would leave your drink on the counter and not say who it's for...? While this was happening other baristas would be doing the same thing to other customers so I don't know it was just really confusing. It was also a really small interior and the cash register was just right smack in the middle so there really wasn't much room to linger as it does get crowded inside. As far as that aspect, the drinks are good. The matcha was good but I don't think I'd come back. Maybe if they figure out a new ordering process and make it a more of an inviting space I'd give it a second shot but yeah....theres definitely other spots in the area that can give me that kind of vibe. Okay is this my new favorite coffee shop?! I think it might be! Cafe Luxxe has been on my list of places to try and I'm so glad I got the chance to today! I came at 10:45a and there were plenty of meter parking outside. Manhattan Beach actually felt very quiet and serene like the town was all still asleep. I was worried about finding parking and the coffee shop being busy. I parked right out front. There's a sign outside the corridor area that says "coffee this way" so you really can't miss it. The barista was so incredibly sweet and we had a little chat while I was deciding what I wanted. Since it was a bit chilly and feeling like fall, I opted for a hot latte with almond milk. The barista made it so beautifully with some latte art. I'm just mad at myself for not asking for her name to give her a shout out! If all the baristas are like her, you're going to be in good hands! The space is also something to note. They have this huge sliding door that stays open and it gives the cafe an open indoor/outdoor space feel. There aren't any tables inside but right outside, they have a couple high tops and some coffee tables seats. Just a great space to enjoy your coffee and get some fresh air. read more

It was rich & creamy with beautiful latte art :) Something that truly enhances the experience :) They are also a roaster, today I picked up a bag of the Manhattan Blend. Always great beans here so be sure to grab a bag for home. The shop itself is a delight, clean modern design that opens up onto a patio shared with the bookshop next-door (Be sure to check it out too). Best chilled coffee I've ever had!! Their signature shakerato is worth every sip. It's dark chocolate with a shaken espresso. The baristas were so nice and told us the shop has only been open a year. They were doing beautiful latte art on the cappuccinos. There were a few little pastries and bites in the chilled cabinet to eat as well if you are hungry.
