SunLife Organics makes some seriously delicious smoothies. They're thick, flavorful, and made with pretty good-quality ingredients, so they definitely feel more elevated than your average smoothie shop. That being said, they are pricey as heck! Also, don't automatically assume you're ordering a low-calorie "diet" drink just because it's a smoothie. Some of these can be surprisingly high in calories, especially with all the nut butters, dates, protein powders, and add-ins. Delicious? Absolutely. Light and innocent? Not necessarily. I still enjoy coming here as a treat, but my wallet and calorie tracker both need a warning beforehand. read more

The first time I came here, it was busy. They clearly forgot my order. I had to inquire about it when I started to notice people who came after me were getting their orders. Then, when the crowd dwindled, I was pretty much the only one still there so, yeah they def forgot it. I usually don't like to say anything, but I also didn't want to be there any longer than I already had been, so I kindly mentioned I hadn't received my drink yet. They were ok about it, I guess (definitely not nice) and I get when an establishment is busy, sometimes orders can sometimes get lost or accidentally not added. Whatever the reason may be, I eventually got my order and it was definitely rushed. I ordered the Tahitian Vanilla Bean Matcha and it was eh. I'm sure it's probably better but literally very low effort was put forth to make it. I decided to give this place a second chance during the week, when it's less busy. I got an acai bowl, I believe the Brazilian and it was good. I got a drink also, but it wasn't very memorable. Overall, it was ok. read more

I went in and ordered the pink cloud smoothie and did one powder add on. It was pretty fast service and it was nice to look around at some of the cool other things you can buy while waiting. I love that this place is healthy and the smoothie was pretty delicious. Staff was nice and I didn't have to wait too long. read more

I came across this juice spot while in Manhattan Beach, ca. I ordered a Malibu Sunrise, which consisted of; orange, carrots and strawberries. I also, purchased three other juices and a cookie dough protein bar containing (6) grams of sugar, (4) grams of protein and only 25 grams of sodium. The juice was fresh and tasted amazing as did the protein bar. Here you'll find a variety of juices, bowls and other organic products. There is only outdoor seating but ample space to accommodate groups. The staff were very friendly and welcomed me upon entering. read more

Yum! Yummy! We got the Hawaiian and substituted the coconut shreds for coconut meat and it was PERFECT! It was made-to-order. All ingredients tasted good quality and fruit was fresh. Highly recommend. The public parking is right across the street... so even if you are not already at the shopping center... stopping by to pick-up is easy. read more

One of my FAVE local spots to visit conveniently located next door to Core Power Yoga and other wellness/clean eating spots lime Tender Greens! I've ben coming here for years now and I can always appreciate how friendly the staff are, patient, and supportive of my shenanigans mixing and matching different things on the menu. (I have a problem when it comes to ordering things as they come on any menu!) I love that they sell so many things as well from books, supplements, snacks, treats, drinks, and skin care! I purchased their hoodie and sweats set & the material is AWESOME! Quality compares to no other. It may be pricey but after a year of wearing often and washing, the quality is still impeccable. My son wanted a quick bite and decided to try this spot. I thought $14 for a grilled cheese was ridiculous but he wanted it. W/ the soup $20. It was the worst grilled cheese I've ever seen. Taste wise he gave it a 4/10. They put a super thick slab of cheese on the bread, which was not even melted at all... yet the bread was kinda burnt?? The crust was super hard so he just tore the crust off, but the cheese wasn't even melted. Yet, the order took forever to be ready. For the price, I expected better. I will not be coming back! read more

stopped by for an açaí bowl and chose the Brazilian açaí because of the thicker, creamier consistency it usually has. Unfortunately, my base came out too watery and was more like a juice than a bowl, which was disappointing. However, the customer service was good and the store itself was clean and well kept. read more

Sun Life Organics is truly one of those rare places that feels like home. We go multiple times a week, and every single visit is just as wonderful as the last. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with warmth, kindness, and genuine smiles--and somehow, everyone knows us by name. It's that kind of place. Over the year we've lived just a few blocks away, we've really gotten to know the staff, and they are all incredibly sweet, thoughtful, and caring. They go so far out of their way to make you feel seen and appreciated--whether it's writing the cutest messages on the cups, surprising regulars with little gifts, or letting you spin the prize wheel just for fun. There's a real sense of community here that you don't find often, and it honestly makes our day every time we stop in. And of course, the food and drinks are absolutely delicious. Our favorite is the strawberry matcha (we're obsessed), and everything tastes so fresh and clean. You can truly tell how intentional they are about sourcing their ingredients--organic, high-quality, and thoughtfully chosen. The strawberries in the açaí bowls are hands down the best-tasting strawberries I've ever had. Sun Life Organics isn't just a smoothie shop--it feels like a neighborhood hub. It's welcoming, joyful, and filled with people who genuinely care about their customers. We always leave feeling happier than when we walked in. Could not recommend it more. We love this place so much. And huge shoutout to Eric for making the best strawberry matcha in all of LA! read more

I stopped by this SunLife Organics location after taking a yoga class nextdoor while on a recent visit to the Manhattan Beach area. I was in need of a snack after my workout and also wanted to visit since I'd been following SunLife on social media and was curious to check them out. First off, the store is clean and inviting and offers a large menu in addition to plenty of packaged snacks / meals. It was actually a bit overwhelming. It's also extremely pricey, but I guess that is what you get in LA. I ordered a Pink Cloud Smoothie (Banana, raspberry, dragonfruit, almond milk, pineapple juice) and added whey protein... It was perfect for what I was looking for in the moment. Service was fast, friendly and efficient. I will be back if in the area, but admittedly I'm almost glad there is not a store near me at home in AZ as I couldn't afford to go here often! read more

What a joke! This entire place is a grift. $20 to $50 for...smoothies and açaí bowls?!? Like many "health" focused stores, it's all hype and fancy ingredients that have little proven medical or nutritional value. Even with the ingredients that do have some scientifically backed nutritional value, they don't confirm amounts so it's really just a rip off. How anyone can justify these price points is beyond me, and I question what morons are spending $50 on a bowl of fruit, regardless of your income level. Beyond all that - none of it tastes special or different from other options at half the price elsewhere. Places like this shouldn't exist. read more

Stopped in on a whim looking for a decent cup of coffee. Wasn't aware of the hype train. Left impressed. I'd describe this is the most unpretentious pretentious smoothie / health bowl / coffee stop around. Typical high prices associated for a place of this caliber, but definitely worth it. Friendly staff. Beautiful eclectic setup. Total beach life / hippie vibe. All sorts of to-go health snacks & drinks, and organic & natural body care products line the walls of the shop. Shakes and bowls looked amazing, but we came for the coffee. Got a Prymal Latte (Hot drip coffee, grass-fed butter, Prymal superfood creamer, raw honey), and we got what we paid for. Wow. Rich, creamy, and flavorful; yet impressively subtle and not in your face. Beautiful drink. Not much downside here, as long as you understand that you are paying a high price for a quality product. Love the concept. Love the vibe. Love the execution. read more

This place was alright but super expensive for what it is. $23 for a protein shake and $17 for essentially an açaí bowl (pretty fire ngl). One thing on service though...one of the workers was flirting with my boyfriend. She wrote his name twice. Once on my bowl and another time on his shake but in cursive and with a smiley face on it. I was looking around at other people's orders and noticed that no one else had a smiley face on theirs. Maybe I'm reaching, but it doesn't make sense for some customers to have that and not others. It comes across and unprofessional in my opinion. read more

Ima give you the tea plain and simple: -Are the food and shakes delicious? YES -Is it overpriced? YES -Are the people stuck up, snobby and not friendly? also yes but thats unfortunately a given in this area -Is the inside and outside nice looking: yup! Can we be real & admit how ridiculous paying $30+ for a smoothie is, no matter how "healthy" the ingredients are ?? As pictured I've tried the mint chocolate chip shake and the Buddha Bowl. Both yummy, very filling yet overpriced I'm glad they have a keto option as well but with the price I'd prob be better off just making it at home or supporting other local businesses read more

Good bowl , but the vibe was not friendly. To be fair , we got there right before closing. Anyways the bowl was OK. I felt like it was much more liquidy than bowls I've had in the past - it caused all of the toppings to fall to the bottom. It tasted pretty good, though. The food here tastes healthy, don't go in expecting something sugary. Personally, I like that. I also wanted to tip, despite the fact that I didn't get great service, but the cashier skipped the tip screen for me so I couldn't. Unfortunate for her! read more

I willingly pay $12.95 for a simple protein shake from SunLife. $13.98 after tax. I hate to even admit that, because even adjusted for inflation that price just hurts. If I was a billionaire, that price would still... eh I can't lie if I touch a B I'm not batting an eye at a $13.98 protein shake. BUT if I was worth a couple M's I'd still be annoyed. Where does it stop tho? Will I pay $20 for a protein shake in 10 years? Anyways, I can't get this level of protein shake anywhere else on the planet. I've traveled this pale blue dot far and wide in search of a better, or equal protein shake. Nada. I've tried myself. I was tweaking the formula of banana, peanut butter, raw chocolate plant protein, cacao powder, almond milk, and ice in my Vitamix like Walter White on the stove. I didn't even come close. They get the perfect thickness on these shakes. That everso fine line between acai bowl texture and a normal smoothie. Idk how they do it. Pure artistry. I will pay $13.98 for the Mona Lisa of protein shakes. IG @jnov_ Tiktok @jnov_reviews read more

Had a really bad experience today ! The bowl and drink took over 25 min and as I was patient with the staff , I witnessed them rolling their eyes when other guests would ask them if their orders were ready. I get things get backed up but no one wants to see terrible customer service ( just smile ) My Brazilian bowl was like soup , so watery it fell right out of my spoon when I took a scoop and let's not get started with my peanut butter chocolate smoothie , it was more like chocolate milk ! I went at 10:45 am today and unfortunately I don't think I'll be back. read more

I ordered the shroom shake smoothie without cold brew. Joseph the manager took the liberty to make mine personally. One word. Delicious! The ingredients taste high quality and super fresh. He made sure to explain to me the reason behind EVERY ingredient that were chosen for the smoothies i asked about and even provided me recommendations based upon my pallet. First time stopping by to try a smoothie. Initially, a bit surprised by the pricing each smoothie is basically $20 and up for the superfood smoothies. All of their ingredients are organic so it's a bit understandable.. I still was curious to try so I ordered the strawberry cheesecake. It is a bit sweet for me and a tad chalky flavor, I think it was the protein maybe. It's okay though, but I didn't love it. I'll probably try something else if I decide to come back. read more

The 3 stars is for employee safety standards. I come to Sunlife after my pilates class. I usually come at 6 and I believe the shop closes at 7 so I am usually catching them in the last hour. On 2 separate occasions, probably a month a part from each other I have witnessed employees not following protocols for handwashing. They only followed it because I said something. I waited on both occasions to see how far each employee would go before I said something, but I had to speak up or otherwise they would have continued. On the first occasion it was about 630pm, the employee was making an order, so the other young lady took my order at the register. She had on her latex gloves while she punched in the order, I notice that most of them do this, even though they use their knuckles of their fingers to place the keypad, they really should remove their gloves. After she takes my order I walk around to the pick up area by the door. Before she starts on my order, she comes from around the counter and goes to door and kneels to ground to remove a rock that was being used to hold the door open. She still has her latex gloves on. She removes the rock that is on the ground and goes back around the counter and grabs a blender and begins to start scooping. I wanted to see how far she would go, so I interjected and said, would you please change your gloves. So she did. The 2nd incident occurred on Monday, Aug 25. Again, I came in about 6ish. One employee is making an order, so a female has a red dish rag and is wiping down the metal counter and hose. She wrings towel out and comes to register. Once again, places my order with latex gloves on using their knuckles. She then proceeds to take the blender container and start scooping. I interject, I say ma'am would you mind changing your gloves. Both female employees changed gloves with no issues, but as part of protocols they should be trained to change gloves frequently. With bacteria, and allergens, it's not good practice. We pay too much for these smoochies and bowls. The manager may need to pop in a bit more for quality checks. Maybe they dont know. It may be lack of training. read more

Ok I'm obsessed. I've seen this place for years (different locations) and never tried it. There was an event at MB Village and SunLife was giving away samples of the matcha latte - matcha, oat milk, coconut cream, and monk fruit. From that moment, I was hooked!
