My daughter ordered her usual coffee something smoothie and I ordered the "Sweet Tart" preferring more of a standard fruit smoothie over the other more shake-like options (in my opinion). The location right in the heart of Riviera Village is very convenient even if parking is not so. I imagine the $13 - $15 prices for a smoothie are kinda standard these days (outside of the big chain places like Jamba). I probably wouldn't come daily because of that but I'm sure others wouldn't mind, especially because the flavors of smoothies are creative and made with quality products. But as good as the bowls are, they can't and won't make up for the loss of identity. And when I go to order, the list of questions is a bit too long. Ordering a simple chocolate arc with honey, something that used to take 10 seconds, now takes almost a minute. The interaction feels forced, awkward, and dragged. I understand that management is trying to make the process of ordering more "friendly," but again, it feels forced, especially knowing the employees are probably paid minimum wage. In summary, the bowls and smoothies are nice, but Paradise Bowls lost what made it special in its drive for optimization.
