It seems that for a while, Paradise Bowls has been steadily losing its identity, its soul. Stepping into the shop, I don't feel anything special or unique anymore. The bowls and smoothies are still amazing, as they always have been. And you have the employees to thank for that. But a large for $20? That's pretty crazy. But as good as the bowls are, they can't and won't make up for the loss of identity. The bright colors that jump at you when you walk in are indicative of the soulless, strictly-for-profit corporate-fication of a once beloved, living locale, something I think we are all too familiar with. And when I go to order, the list of questions is a bit too long. Ordering a simple chocolate arc with honey, something that used to take 10 seconds, now takes almost a minute. The interaction feels forced, awkward, and dragged. I understand that management is trying to make the process of ordering more "friendly," but again, it feels forced, especially knowing the employees are probably paid minimum wage. In summary, the bowls and smoothies are nice, but Paradise Bowls lost what made it special in its drive for optimization.
