You might find one item one time or you might find ten items the next. The more you frequent this shop, the more they get to know your taste. I found this store because an ex purchased a holiday gift for me that didn't work. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by Shelly and then greeted later by who I found to be the owner, Sandy. They were extremely helpful and made it fun to shop in this beautiful boutique. Wow, I found a new place to shop! They have styles for everyone who's size small to large. It was after the holiday, so a lot of sizes were gone but when they restock, I'm sure I'll be able to find my size (L) with no doubt if I get there in time to get it. Now, I've read reviews about how small the store is but if someone wants to go to a large store, try Macy's or Bloomingdales. This is just what it is, a boutique...small store. I think it's a nice size and I found lots of things that I absolutely love. Rings, shoes, necklaces, leather jackets, jeans and very nice pieces to choose from. If you're a bigger girl, this may not be your place but not every store is going to cater to people who are plus size. Yes, plus size girls should look for stores that cater to them and not bash a store because they don't. People kill me going on Yelp to complain because they're overweight and a store doesn't carry their size. Amazon is already competition enough for the small business owner without having people make the most ridiculous complaints about nothing. The store has been there for 14 years and has proven her success, so to make a review that a place doesn't have your size and to give one star burns me up. I'm the first to complain about legitimate things that aren't right, but I didn't read one review that warranted a one star review. Alas, they have free parking, where else can you find that? Such a fun experience, shopping and sipping wine with friends. The sales staff were friendly and knowledgeable. We found many treasures, and made a memory too! Items at Frocks & Rocks range from cozy to sexy, edgy to sporty, and include sweaters, dresses, leggings, jeans, jewelry, and bags, to name a few. I got a little of everything, but my biggest treasure is a blue leather motorcycle jacket. It instantly adds cool to whatever else I'm wearing. I stopped by this shop after having brunch nearby and reading its yelp reviews. It did not disappoint. The girls who work there are incredibly friendly, helpful, patient, and fun. There's a wide variety of fun merch for day to night wear. Everything from shoes, belts, undies, jumpsuits, bodysuits, leather jackets, denim and cool tops. Prices were very reasonable. It was the perfect spot to shop with my friend for a first date she had at a concert that night. I'd definitely recommend and would head back. read more

4.5 Stars This was another gem I found thanks to fellow Yelpers. The clothing here is all very soft (like other reviewers have mentioned) and affordable. I was excited to try on the flowy styles. I was truly hoping to pick up a bunch of staples for the summer. I tried on a lot of item, but unfortunately only 1 item made it home with me =(. Most of the cuts did not flatter my athletic figure. One of the tops that did NOT make it home was super cute, but had a large gape in the back. I was sad about that one because it had a built in bra and super cute cross straps in the back. The dress that felt like I was literally wearing nothing was vetoed by my hubby. I understand why. It was plain, but I almost got it for sheer comfort reasons. A lot of the items would have fit better on a slimmer (possibly taller) frame. I like my clothing a bit more fitted, so the flowy look was not to my liking. The shirt that I did purchase is very flattering, sheer and super comfy. The hubby liked it on me immediately. It was $25. I will pop in here again from time to time. Wow, so I went in today because I needed a cute outfit quick, and after seeing all the 5 star reviews, I had to check it out. The two women that work here are very friendly and have good taste even when they give you recommendations. I was pleasantly surprised at their cute selection of tops, and dresses and even though its a cute boutique, the prices were still fair. I got a couple dresses, even though I was tempted to get a whole lot more. So I had to keep one of the dresses on & go directly to a family function, but I didn't have shoes that matched, so Sandy insisted I borrower some adorable sandals that matched my dress. Talk about going the extra mile! I've done my fair share of shopping, but I have never come across such a kind, and giving owner. This is one of my favorite little go-to shops in El Segundo when I'm in the mood for a little clothes shopping. (Which is almost always.) Much like the other small businesses in the cute little downtown stretch of El Segundo, the vibe is extremely friendly and down to earth. It's like you've left L.A. and gone to some small town in the middle of nowhere. The last time I was in, they had a spread of pastries and bottled waters out and we were invited to help ourselves. We'd just eaten breakfast nearby so we passed, but still, how nice is that? The owner, Sandy, is chatty and helpful, as is the woman who works for her, (whose name I can't seem to remember at the moment). And the clothes are really cute and surprisingly affordable. There's even a couch where your husband/boyfriend/significant other/whomever can hang out while you try things on, as mine has done a couple times now. And try on you will! The last time I was in I bought a really cute bell-sleeve jacket, a chic pencil skirt and a little black dress. And I wasn't even intending to go shopping. I just meandered in to browse for a few minutes while my husband was in a hardware store nearby. So much for just browsing. We just moved so we're a little farther away now, but I'm already plotting my next visit to Frocks & Rocks. It's definitely well worth the trek. read more

Would not buy: denim, purses Extensive selection of jewelry from local artists including Dog Eared (www.dogeared.com - one of my favorites). My only gripe is they are kind of overly complimentary every time you come out of the dressing room. Listen, I know I can rock a dress but sometimes you know something isn't working and you don't need 2 gushing sales people trying to convince you differently. I love this place! I've gone back twice in the past two weeks, and I want to tell everyone how great this place is. Frocks and Rocks is full of hip, fashionable, and affordable clothes. The owner, Sandy, is helpful and really takes her time to find clothes that work for you. Unlike one of the other reviewers here, she did tell me when something wasn't working for me on more than one occasion and looked to find something better suited to me. I'm not great at putting clothes together, so I really appreciated her care and concern. The best part of the shopping experience here is that Sandy helped me maximize my purchases by finding pieces that would work with several others. Therefore, instead of just some novelty fashions, I've got some great basics that I can mix and match and wear for a long time. And, the jeans are great. Where to begin???? Honestly, I have an addiction in every form imaginable to this store! I live in El Segundo and I never in a million years would have imagined such an amazingly hip, high end yet reasonably priced clothing store. I generally stop in once a week and there is always new merchandise. I have never left without more than I was looking for because they have SO MANY great things all of the time and because things are reasonably priced it makes it far more enjoyable to shop. Sandy is the best stylist ever. She knows how to make everything work on anyone and everyone! I find myself rarely shopping anywhere else. Oh, and every time I wear any of my jewelry or clothing I ALWAYS get compliments. Sandy knows the difference between trend and true style and that is what makes you stand out by shopping in her store. All of the staff members add their own flare and you can feel how passionate they are about what they do. They had nothing that would fit my size 12-ness/large, not even for my friend who wears a 10 and med/large. So I must share the amazing experience I had today at this very special little tienda in El Segundo called Frocks & Rocks- Urban boutique. Never in my life (and that's a lot of years of shopping) have I been catered to by such a stylish, personable sales person! Her name is Ariel. She's the store manager and you must ask for her when you visit the store. Better yet, call before you go to make sure it isn't her day off. She is FABulous and caused me to spend way more than I normally would have but I am SO excited to go out and show off my incredible finds! I know I will look like a million bucks because of her. She showed me so many helpful styling tips and all the pieces I bought, I can wear with the most amazing necklace with an antique CHANEL button that she also helped me pick out. BTW Ariel also designs wedding dresses so if you're in the market, I'm jus' sayin', maybe seek her out! Mo, the social media director for the store, with the beautiful rose gold hair, also was very sweet & helpful! Apparently people hit them up on their way to LAX with empty suitcases. Great shop! I was a little intimidated at first, I'm not exactly a "hip" dresser. I'm pretty "classic" and don't stray far from Ann Taylor Loft. I let the sales associate & Sandy pick clothes for me & I was surprised at how cute it all was. They gave me tips on what looked best so I felt pretty confident with my purchases. Also, someone mentioned they cater to skinny people... I wear a 12 and I've got mom curves - they dressed me. In fact, I was thrilled to find I wore a medium in some styles. Stumbled upon Frocks & Rocks this past weekend and am so happy I did, as it's such a cute store! They have a variety of cute clothing, ranging from casual to dressy, and very unique items at that (the clothes don't have that department store/chain retailer look, which is great). On top of the super cute clothing, the owner of the store (Sandy) is the nicest, sweetest woman ever! She talked to me for about 10 minutes about her store and how she got started and even gave me recommendations as to where else to wander around El Segundo, as I mentioned I wasn't from around there.
